  • They never said anything about nerfing mori's again. They said they wanted to make mori's apart of the game and make the killer earn their mori's, and not just getting them for playing an offering.

Here, let me make it simpler if you don't understand: YOU GET REWARDED FOR DOING GOOD!

Unfortunately for me even if I do have special items I just prestige. Even if there's bloody party streamers

I was like that as well until my lust for hoarding event items kept growing, and so did my wanting to prestige every character. I try to speed run P3ing a character now

Current record is Trickster at 13hrs and 54 minutes from release

I remember owning about 98 firecrackers on Kate but then I prestiged her. Sucks

A character I refuse to prestige and even level up is Jeff, I have 40 something Winter Party Starters in his inventory and a few Winter Mystery Boxes in his bloodweb from the last winter solstice event in 2018

Wow, P3ing Bill is totally worth it! Even if it means sacrificing old and rare items/offerings... Tbh. Well done though!

I made sure to take a screenshot the moment before prestiging, besides I still have some old map offerings and lighting offerings on other characters :)

  • No I dont, I had him prestige 1 level 3 back in August 2017 and fell victim to the loss of progress bug the month after. Before that I played Meg since I had Bill and Clauds teachables unlocked so I had the best build with her.

A few weeks after that I was able to be payed in bloodpoints as a compensation to my lost and leveled up Bill to 40. Since then I never touched him until a week ago where I finally wanted to finish what past me started and get Bill to Prestige 3. This did mean I needed to sacrifice a bunch of old map offerings and lighting offerings unfortunately but at least Ill finally be able to finish what I started

  • Bill because even as a new player I could tell how busted BT was back then

  • who in the what in there where what who?

  • Solo Q

Kindred, Sprint Burst, Iron Will, DS or Spine Chill

    SWF

BT, Dead Hard, Resilience, Spine Chill

I use a different build for every killer, but the most popular perks among all of them are:

    BW, BBQ, Whispers, Monitor

  • With the bugs that showed up on the swamp I'm pretty sure thats the next one we can expect, then maybe Red Forest and Haddonfield. I don't think Hawkins is gonna be reworked since I think its still under the "updated map" category

  • This is something there gonna bring in, its not implemented yet

  • Theyre probably the most interesting batch of perks weve gotten in a while. They probably wont shake up the meta(with the exception of maybe Resurgence and Lethal Persuer) but they definitely look like fun perks to use

  • Go for it, dont let people discourage you.

You know perks change right? And what’s in your opinion are mindless perks? Also it doesn’t have to be strong to be meta you know, it can also be something which just counters to what is strong.

And you know that you can get a survivor to level 40 and get their teachables without ever playing them right? Meaning you can for the most part focus on your main survivor and only play that survivor and your experience would be the exact same if you were to main every one else. Survivors are just skins

EDIT: Fixed Mistake "Achievements" to "Teachables"

  • If theres any combo that I see becoming Strong it's Resurgence + Self Care, you get a 16 second heal by yourself after being unhooked. Exact same amount of time it would take 1 person to heal you normally.

I remember a time where WGLF gave 400% BPs instead of 100%. Guess what? Survivors farmed each other to death for it. They also use to have dailies worth over 450k but the devs said these challenges were "too hard" to do for some players. Literally hook 9 different survivors or run the killer for 3 minutes. That's it. 250k-450k per daily. Life was GOOD, SON!

WGLF gave 50% for each stack, up to a maximum of 200%. Never 400%

  • I dont, unless they add a ranked mode

  • An overly used word that lost its value because of many entitled people

I did not say they are weak but also not strong enough, max B-Tier.

In what world is a killer who has amazing map pressure, amazing slugging/camping abilities and probably the 2nd best snowballer in the game at B tier

  • So I guess Coal Tower is a lie, Shelter Woods simply doesn't exist, Wreckers Yard? Whats that? The Chapel? Oh I guess that never happened and the list goes on, these are just the ones I can think out of the top of my head

Also if you can't get a down on Hawkins after a bit, that's not the game bud, sorry to break it to ya.

Yes there are more survivor favored maps than killer ones. But don't act like killers don't have their fair share of maps that are strong for them

  • Normally its exactly a week before PTB if I recall correctly, meaning the 18th was when your data was saved.

Having recently gone back in time to play an older version of dbd, (l'll explain this later), it still confuses me why survivors have been getting steadily more and more quiet as the game got updated.

The noise their footsteps become with the swing chains absolutely needs to be normalised for all killers.

Hey man Ive been trying to find a way to do this myself, mind showing how? Idk if you can in a public thread like this, so my Email should show up on my profile

Survivors going down in an 1n1 against the most killers anyways. Could have shown you the same with the Clown, back in day.

Congrats to the achievment. Personally I was never interested in making any kind of achievment, but I know you have probably done a lot of tries, to get it. I was more like a moke who was happy to run after the carrot for his head, aka. the survivor and that was already everything.

Then we had make different experiences. I had a handful of times people for me who could do the pallet counterplay as would they predict, what I would do next.

They did the pallet jumps when I did. They runned away when I stopped pallet jumping and just waited for them and so on. Just be happy that you had never face them. It was terrible. Especially without addons.

Again, I face them all the time, I'll play Legion and record to show you exactly what you can do, survivors tend to attempt the trick with windows as well

  • @Talmeer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2197433#Comment_2197433

You have seen the pallet counterplay as luck based?

Oh boy, then you had never saw it made by people who were experienced in it.

If I take you by your word it is also rng if you run in a trap of the Trapper, or Hag, or if you getting hit by the Huntress, or if Myers getting up to T2 and T3 and so on.

Sure, you can counterplay all this, with the help of a little bit of luck, but let us be honest... If you do it with the knoweldge of what you are doing against those killers, it is more effective and it isn't luck anymore, hm? ;).

And yes I know, that it is easier to disarm or avoid a trap of the Trapper, or to avoid, or destroy a trap of the Hag, as the pallet-counterplay was against the old Legion, but how gamers tend to say: "Skill is when luck becomes a habit."

There were survivors out there that have known how to do this, exactly like survivors are today out there that know how to disarm traps, how to letting Myers not becoming T3 and so on.

There is no shame in it, if you aren't able to do it, but to say it isn't possible, is a lie.

I see it as "lucked" based in the sense you were lucky enough for The Legion to actually fall for it, just like how you were lucky that Deathslinger missed a shot or a bad Nurse made a bad blink, are those counterplays to those killers? Relying that they're bad? No it isnt

Also don't even get me started on the experience I have on Legion, he was the first killer I attempted to get the fastest P3 on, the 3rd killer I got all perks on, I was one of the first people to get the "Deranged Pursuit" achievement which was MUCH harder than it is now (Look it up if you need a refresh on how you needed to get it before) and if you want proof:

Deranged Pursuit achievement achieved at a time before they updated it:

    image.png

Screenshot of P3 Legion during Winter Solstice

    image.png

I have the experience on Legion, and even nowadays if you want a reminder of how old Legion was just for the shits and giggles, run Franks Mixtape and Etched Ruler and just go after one survivor, no matter how good they are that survivor is going down, just like old Legion :)

  • @Talmeer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2197185#Comment_2197185

Basically a mix of the same counters you do today against them and some things that have gone obsolete today.

-Spread out, as soon as you aware that the killer is a Legion.

-Learn m1 mindgames, since Legion can also attack on this way, if he likes.

-If he is in frenzy don't use windows, because he will most likely always get you there.

-Use instead pallets. If the Legion starts frenzy, jump over the pallet and do directly turn 180 and jump again over that pallet and do that over and over again. If you do that right, the Legion will either lost you, or chase you until its frenzy ends - without the chance to hit you. After that the Legion is again a traditional m1 killer.*

That was the most common counterplay and it had also work. Many things of the past work even today against the Legion, like spreading out, or knowing m1 mindgames.

*If the Legion used Franks Mixtape, it was nearly impossible to do that, because the most survivors had do a mistake in the time this addon had run, but it was not without reasons op. Without Franks Mixtape, it was possible.

    "Spread out"

This doesnt mean anything if youre already in chase

    "Learn M1 Mindgames"

Not a reliable way of countering him since youre relying on luck

"If he's in Frenzy dont use windows"

Even if hes not he has and had no start up time to his ability so he could just immediately enter Frenzy and get a hit that way, same goes for pallets if he threw it down

"Do a 180 after The Legion vaults the pallet"

This isnt counterplay, thats again relying on luck that The Legion is stupid enough to fall for this, and experienced players would always check for these to make sure a survivor didnt do it, you could also just swing at the survivor vaulting the pallet and if you missed? Well your frenzy didnt end so just vault back the pallet

  • @Talmeer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2197104#Comment_2197104

It was. Besides personal experience, there were even video evidence.

The Legion without addons was not more or less stronger as any other killer to that time (if you have know the counterplay), besides obvious worse killers like the Clown and obvious better killers like the Nurse.

With that I don't want to say that the Legion was weak, but she was also not unconquerable.

She was strong with a few weak spots and that was why the addons were so powerful, because they had taken out the weakness of the Legion.

Also what I am saying was and is covered by the killstats of that time. If you search them, you will see that the Legion was in the lower midfield, no matter which rank and that was for reasons.

What were their counters then? What was a reliable way to win a chase against old legion? And "losing them" is not a reliable one

  • @Yords said:

Sooo give survivors a busted mechanic to punish killers for doing their only objective?

This would only punish killers who are simply after one person, if you were to leave them alone they would probably be on a gen anyway in the next couple of seconds. If they do decide to teleport they cant do anything other than sit there, Incapacitated doesnt allow them to progress the game.

The status effect is also only given if the killer comes back to the hook after what would probably be a very short amount of time after the survivor has just been unhooked. This literally only punishes hard tunneling

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196929#Comment_2196929

The first three things you've mentioned are correct. That is precisely why the Incapacitated status effect would be perfect for him. As for the fourth, that wasn't always true. Freddy on release got slowed down for 1 second instead of 3, and even after his unnecessary nerf sometimes it was very easy to hit a survivor before they could reach a pallet or a window. Imagine that nowadays, with dead zones all over the place.

As for "holding W" I believe it is way more common today than when I first started playing DBD (2018), but this is based on my personal experience, so it might be wrong.

As for the mindgame, I've seen plenty of good survivors camping pallets during the Dream Transition, especially when Pill Bottle was present.

And no, I don't think he was the worst killer ever. PTB Ghostface was MUCH worse, and I speak from experience. Same thing with Trickster on release.

Holding W is more common because the word is out there, when it comes to high level play it was always present.

As for PTB Ghost Face, at least he had the chance of sneaking up on survivors, thinking about it they may be on the same level.

Trickster on release Ill admit, I was defending him at first but after he received his buffs it made me realize that he was worst than I thought, weakest killer? I still dont think so but he was close. Trickster now tho is definitely better than Old Freddy, his add ons and chase game are pretty good, problem is he's pretty map dependant

  • missed ya sweet cheeks :)

But yeah I do agree to some extent for once. Against a solo q team these perks are overkill. SWF its manageable

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196701#Comment_2196701

His power was not a hinderance, it was his biggest advantage. Having to wait 7 seconds to hit a survivor was not a problem, especially back then when mindgames were much more viable since "holding W" wasn't meta. As for the other half of the chase, well, you shouldn't go for it until you were ready.

If his "biggest advantage" was to allow survivors to:

-Complete gens right in front of him

-Do totems in front of him

-Being the only killer not being able to camp hooks even if he was forced to

-Turning generators that were in dead zones into now safe places because of how much distance a survivor could make before Freddy is finally able to hit them. (They could literally run 28m in any direction they wanted for free)

Then I think there was a problem

"Holding W" was always meta just like looping its just that more people are vocal about it because I guess some streamer said something and it blew up, its called "ressource management".

Also any mindgame Freddy was able to do, any other killer could of done as well. The "Mindgame" with Freddy was if a survivor stayed at a pallet while in dream transition he could move back and forth and use the popping in and out of reality to his advantage. Problem is this only worked on bad survivors since no good survivor in their right mind would camp a pallet.

Old Freddy was and will for ever he the weakest itteration of any killer in the history of DbD. And thats saying a lot considering PTB Ghost Face was a thing

  • @Northener1907 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196579#Comment_2196579

Yes but if they would buff Old Freddy, we would have great killer right now. Old Freddy had some annoying problems but they all would fix if devs would not choice easy way.

Old Freddy needed an entire overhaul and he got it, what I think they should of brought instead to make him more interesting is a tier up power, where the further along the game has gone the more powerful he becomes. Like maybe at the beginning of the game he'd extremely weak, exactly like Old Freddy, but the more and more fearful survivors get the more he grows in power, like eventually being able to interact with awake survivors, has more abilities than he does currently, etc. Just make him more interesting

  • @supersonic853 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196579#Comment_2196579

New freddy with nerfed addons and slower movement speed just feels like any other m1 killer and then he can place clown bottles basically on the floor. Puts a pool on one side and one on the other side. Congrats you get hit. In the words of scott because i kinda feel the same: "freddy:super F. You put ######### on the floor"

Id rather have that than having a slower movememt speed for simply holding out your power like Old Freddy just to wait 7 seconds and only then being able to get a hit. He was and still is an M1 killer just now he has an ability that helps him in chase and map pressure. Yes, his power may be more generic but its far more effective. Old Freddy's "power" was a literal hinderance

  • New Freddy

Actually hitting survivors is nice, old Freddy had nothing going for him other than he was unique

  • I dont really get any survivors swarm me when I play any killer, and I dont use Agitation/Starstruck, when they do tho the moment they realize how fast theyre getting downed they stop, his add ons can be quite devastating

    Favorite combinations to run:

Fizz Spin Soda + Ji Woons Autograph

Fizz Spin Soda + Caged Heart Shoes

Caged Heart Shoes + Killing Part Chords

Edge of Revival Album + Cut Thru U Single

The last set of add ons actually make Trickster a menace, aim at their feet and the blade goes through them and shatters on the ground which is 1.5 laceration. People can't go for hook saves in front of you either since you melt both people, ESPECIALLY if you have Main Event active

  • Myers, probably 2nd to weakest killer in the game and his power is extremely out dated.

Ok I'll agree with the base killer speed, this is why I wanted to get feedback from killer mains. Although what I had in mind is nothing like old legion. I had to look into how old legion worked, I didn't play the game around that time. The same meter you get while on hook is the same meter you get when injured or downed. This concept wouldn't have a mend meter, you're just hurt like you normally would be. Since there would be no hooks in this design. I added the ability for survivors to get back up so it's not oppressive. I wasn't sure you understood it the way I was trying to explain it.

    Thank you for the feedback!

The problem I have with this is the bleed out timer going down while injured, and again its still the issue as Old Legion, if the killer wants one and only one survivor dead, theyll get it

  • If the fastest speed is 4.2m/s no good survivor would get hit especially if you take away bloodlust. Thats literally turning every killer into Tier 1 Myers but without the undetectable

EDIT: Another thing to add, if they have a bleed out timer, all killers would turn into old Legion but again, slower. This would make the game EXTREMELY boring for both sides

  • 4 base

can go up to 6 with add ons

    Jigsaw's Sketch (+1 Jigsaw Box)

Jigsaw's Annotated Plan (+1 Jigsaw Box, 30 additional seconds to the timer)

not a bug unless you think Latency related issues are classified as bugs.

I really don't feel like explaining or teaching you the difference, just google it friend.

Idk how I missed the first thing said in this post, but yes. A server related issue is a bug. Bug is a term used for something that isnt working correctly.

Its essentially like saying "I didnt make a mess I just simply spilled my glass of water every where"

  • Ah yes, because trash talking and bming is a survivor exclusive thing

Just another "killer good, survivor bad yada yada" post

  • I mean it makes sense, those hatchets sure seem heavy and Im sure her arms must get very tired after a while

again.. you either have no idea what you're talking about or you know better than the devs who said it's latency related matter.

please research more about why dead hard is affected by Latency before you just comment for the sake of commenting

The latency related issue with dead hard is mostly known for being exhausted on the ground. THAT'S latency since the client and server dont have enough time to communicate thus resulting on your screen seeing the exhausted symbol but on every one elses you just look like youve gone down.

So unless thats what you mean, and with how youve been describing it, it doesnt sound like it.

Also dont try acting like you know everything on the subject matter just because youve done one google search and then insulting people who are actually trying to understand your issue and educating you
