alright.

Pain Resonance is very good at killing gens if teammates are hook trading or just generally doing a bad job in chases. I've had a couple games where it combined with Ruin brought gens to a standstill.
The only downside to the perk is that scourge hook generation isn't consistent, and it tends to be weaker on indoor maps due to increased inflexibility in which hooks you can reach.
true but imo its still such a powerhouse
-
i also did hook 2 people in that time
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
doing this just because of @TAG's comment
30 seconds with ruin up = 15% regressed.
Pain Resonance = 15% per hook.
90%-5% = 85%
85%/15 = 5.67
So within those 15 seconds you'd have needed to hook 5.67 survivors on scourge hooks.
it was exaggeration but what i meant was it went from 90% to like 10-5% very quickly.

Normally it takes 14 seconds to bless a dull totem. And 28 seconds to bless a hex.
Thrill's 50% slowdown doubles those times. That's 28 seconds to bless a dull and a whopping 56 seconds to bless a hex.
All lf this uninterruped. Chase them off or interupt them any other way (for example doctor shock) and they have to start over.
They will have to cleanse hexes. If they spend close to a minute blessing a hex then you had so much slowdown your perks gave you vallue enough. And any hex they cleanse is a totem they can't boon anymore
Now this ofcourse isn't a hard counter and it is somewhat luck dependand but it hampers them enough to be worth it imo
i am 100% using this perk

Thrill still doubles the time it takes to boon.
People wrote it off cause of it lost the notification without even trying it but it really slows boon heavy players down.
I rarely have big trouble with boons when i run it
how does it counter boons? can you explain
-
the only nerf they should do which shouldn't even be a thing, but if they DO nerf her, just nerf the fact that the first crow hit can never injure you.

Rekindled totems can't be booned
They can be blessed which takes 28 seconds but the totem then dissapears. The same as it would with the 14 second cleanse time
To the op thrill counters boons already. Boons on a whole are fine. It's just CoH that's overtuned
thrill doesnt show that anymore my guy.

Maybe try transitioning back and forth between two tiles versus looping a single tile? A larger metaphorical figure 8 instead of a small circle.
If she places crows try to run to a different loop. also, if she has a crow facing that way try to go to a loop that she has a crow that's aiming towards. Her counterplay is: Holding W, and having good game sense

This has never stopped BHVR before. If Survivors complain even a little and a popular streamer jumps on the bandwagon, she's toast.
i doubt any streamer will say artist is overpowered, we will have to see i guess

Boons mechanically need to have a downside, they re stupidly strong in the courent meta, thats a fact. Anything would make them more berable:
- Limited charges per trial, 3 or 4 charges its more than enought, that would make them a valuable resource unlike right now wich are buffs galore all over the place with little to non consequence behind them
- Give them a cooldown after they are used, 80/70/60 seconds based on the level its more than fair, if they make a good play and hide it properly they get a lot of value out of it
- Additionally killers should have the ability to snuff OR destroy the totem, its ridiculous this things CANT be taken out of the game in any shape or form while hexes can be destroyed in the first 30 seconds of the game (wich happens a lot, for some reason the game keeps spawining survivors in front of hexes very often)
Circle of healing on the other hand its stupidly strong right now, it needs to be nerfed. The healing bonus it gives should be reduced to +50% with an aditional cap to healing in general, its just ridiculous that survivors can heal in varely 8 seconds or less, that pretty much destroys most M1 killers damage potential. It also doesnt help that thanks to this, many killers have intensified their tunnelling and face camping in an efort to get some kills, boons need to be brought down a notch on the power creep they created
personally i think the bottom one and the top one should be added.

This happens every time something terrible players used to think they're good gets nerfed.
Multi-blink Nurse? Nurse got a massive swing of the Hammer and down she went, taking both good and terrible Nurses down with her (good players couldn't deal with the bugs, bad players couldn't be asked now they no longer had 4 blinks without downsides, or old OmegaBlink:tm: to basically guarantee wins).
Forever Freddy? Down went his add-ons and you saw a lot less people stacking every possible slowdown. Some even used chase perks. Then he got hit again- perhaps a bit too hard- so off he fell.
Old Old Spirit? Remember when everyone said them adding in a vault animation and removing collision would kill her? Then Stridor went and she was still incredibly powerful? Then the most recent change happened and she's s t i l l incredible, just god forbid you have to use brainpower now.
Whenever there's something obviously overbearingly good then bad players will flock to it like moths to a lamp to make themselves feel better. Then, when it's taken away and they're faced with the reality, they figure out they only enjoyed stomping people and migrate to the next thing that takes the least effort for the greatest reward. It was Spirit, it was Freddy, and it was Nurse. Who it is now I genuinely don't know, I haven't played enough to see it yet.
im guessing either artist or hag

there shouldnt be any downside,using perk slot is already enough, its like bringing an hex but your killer has more cd on his spell or walks slower. whats the downside of borrowed time? whats the downside of ruin? perks are by definition additions, if you want them to have downsides yuo have to redesign all perks cause the only downside perks have now is "wasting" a slot for a better perk or having a bad sinergy
The downside of BT? Nothing, an insane perk that prevents the oil away the killer can win in this meta. Tunneling. Same with DS. the only disadvantage is you can't do your objective, which is a big disadvantage don't get me wrong.
The downside of Ruin? gets barely any value, as soon as they know they're looking for that totem and setting up a boon there. Or, they will cleanse it. And on top of that, it can never be placed back. This is why ruin undying is used so much. We have to use 2 perk slots just to get what you guys have to a lesser degree with 1 singular perk slot. What else? And, perks have no downside lol. So what if you're wasting a slot for a better perk. It's still a perk and will help you out. And synergy? there is barely any. The only ones I can think of are: For The People & Vigil. DS & Unbreakable. Ruin & Undying

Its why I break every damn totem I see as survivor. Its good BP's and it counters NOED.
Boons tilt this game into the way to easy box.
I really think they are a bad design.
Especially when the reasoning behind the Hex undying NERF was having to cleanse multiple hexes was to powerful and to much work for survivors.
revert undying. and ill be ok with boons

I dont think thats how it work, to make a crow hit, swam crow & hit crow have to be in different flight order. I tried to make 3 Dire crow with length distance from each other, the first crow swam a survivor, then the other 2 Dire just flight pass them.
But her power can instantly tell info from 3 furthest Gens. Pretty much Lethal pursuit build-in.
use crows in this formation \|/

genrushing is definitely easy and outside of total noobs seen on every skill level. The problem here is game design.
bodyblocking is mostly an indicator for swf.
on point looping? That really just depends on how you play.
shorten maps and ill be fine. And yea that squad was a swf and i was playing really well
-
@Labrac said:
She does get countered by holding W, but it's not as effective as it is against other killers like Pyramid, Slinger, Huntress, etc because she can use the 1 crow snipe to zone you.
yeah that's what i mean, and if your really good at predicting where they will go it is even less apparent
-
yeah, I think BHVR did such a good job with this killer and they should 100% just leave her alone. I hope she does not get gutted cuz survivors complaining.
-
@Tr1nity said:
Thats prob gonna get her gutted tho.
she doesn't need to be gutted. She's a perfect killer. id say she's Low-A High-B. If you can play her well though, Defo S Tier. Don't forget this killer has just been released so no reason to jump the gun right now.
-
@Irisora said:
She is, obviously mindlessly holding W isn't effective against any killer.
Going from loop to loop with a bit of sense is what is needed to make the artist sweat against you.
That's what I mean dude, a good artist will have this in mind and will pre-setup for the loop they are going to. and using the crows, you can deadline them and if they won't go to your crows, m1 them
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
She is SLOWER THEN THE NURSE while using her power or from the cooldown from her power.
Nurse base speed is 3.85 m/s.
Artist speed while channeling/charging/shooting her power: 3.68 m/s.
So yes W is extremely effective against her.
yes but you can easily just fly crows at them, and you can also use m1 too, a good artist must know when and when not to use her power. And, to contradict that point, if you good at predictions, just predict where they are going to go and shoot crows at them.
-
@Tr1nity said:
Can you put 3 crows down to a gen to get an insta-down on start?
its a low chance but it is possible, yes.

so if they're running meta they do not always have high MMR? got it. what about body blocking, gen-rushing, flashlight saves, and on point looping

She's not even close to s tier. You can just hold w and you can't do nothing with her. She's Top B - low A tier now
yes, u can, u can do a ton about that. That's, if your a good artist and know this
-
@beatddb said:
I've been playing her a lot and holy ######### she's powerful, I've never felt more in control of a match before. It feels so satisfying to hit people through the map.
I would put her in S tier right below Nurse and above Blight and Spirit, and the best thing is she has more counterplay than Nurse so she feels more rewarding to face if played right.
I think this is a great addition to the game because honestly seeing just nurses, blights and the occasional huntress was getting boring. I wish BHVR kept releasing strong killers with good counterplay so it feels good to play as and against them. I'm very proud of the devs for this killer she's fun as hell to play as and against.
just use 2 crows on 2 opposite gens and most of the time ez find survivors

It has a downside, you cant use it on full health.
For example, against NOED not helpfull with full health.
Its okay to have things like this.
it needs a nerf 100% all I would do that IMO is reasonable is make it so it can just DH through killer powers. E.g. blight, huntress, artist, and all those killers. Nurse i would say u can DH through tho

i am. literally everyone using unbreakable dead hard DS and IW. and i cant do crap. and how are they #########? i cant exactly look at a wall
-
yes, you can use perks on either side but you can say if they're a bit out of line as well my guy.
Just like a ruin, for example. The perk, even though it's useless against gen jockeys. Helps you so much. And flashlights just completely void a killer power (artist, hag, nurse, wraith) this shouldn't be a thing. especially for an item

true.

@Viamont said:
I cant denny that geting farmed in solo Q sounds awfull, as a killer i do have seen plenty of times ridiculously unsafe hooks wich mind you, make me feel bad for the hooked player...but i just had an idea that could be interesting.
Right now, hiting a survivor awards 300BP to a killer, doesnt matter who you hit thats what you get, but what if in a hook situation, by ignoring the unhook survivor and chasing the unhooker, killers where awarded 600BP (twice as much), furthermore, if the killer hooks that same survivor its awarded instead of 200BP, its awarded 400 (double again), this system would entice heavily killers to rotate survivors (while at the same time not penalizing them, also preventing it to be an absolute must as there will be situations where the killer will simply have to take out someone as fast as posible). The system also would have a fail safe. The first hooked survivor doesnt grant any bonus, after that the other3 survivors, as long as they are hit and hooked in any order will grant the bonus. When the last survivor its hooked the bonus its reseted, meaning the next survivor its hooked ONLY wrants the regular amount of BP for atacks and hooks.
Nah, award me 2k blood points for going for unhooking and 1k for going for the unhooked survivor. hooking the unhooked gives me 3k bp while hooking the hooked survivor gives me 1k bp
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
I respectfully, massively disagree.
I really want them to nerf her further against survivors without Iron Will, and then in return buff her massively against survivors who do have Iron Will. Because that perk existing suddenly gives you 100x more counterplay options than without.
You can buff her in other ways after this too, like faster recharge/longer duration, but the most recent only fixed one of my two major issues with her.
Fix the issues with the power imbalance between having and not having Iron Will (then feel free to absolutely slaughter the perk, btw) and I might begin to agree with you.
What I do have to admit, though, is she is much more fun to face and to play now than she was. It feels good, actually needing to use my brain while playing her.
spirit is fine where she is, what you wanna be doing is abusing the fact she can see scratch marks. and yes u can argue. MDR and DCB. But, if you can fake spirit with that then yeah. they can also think about nerfing iron will to 85% so it is affected by stridor. or just made stridor counter iron will. then if they do this they can nerf spirit a bit more. Even though in my opinion she is fine
