Yeah the same handful of people who constantly complain about it.
because it's busted. it needs serious nerfs, or just remove/ rework it

@Johnny_XMan said:
Who said she is OP? If anything I have seen the opposite, that she is fine.
She needs buffs IMO. she should be able to place her crows to go up vertically, i don't understand why such a killer has this weakness

I’m only running Scourge and I find it pretty solid by itself. I find it much better than Pop.
Definitely, however. Won't stop you from getting gen-rushed. Like me lol

I do agree that it seems highly sus that they now give the game away for free on EPIC, when the Communities trust in the devs is at its lowest it has ever been.
First of all, I will be the first guy to criticize SWF heavily, you can check my post history for that ;) But to call it "cheating" is a bit too much. What I call it is "Heavy abuse of all the advantages they get thrown in their lap" :) It does feel like cheating sometimes though, as there is nothing you can do about it.
flashlights are just busted. I already said limit them to 3 times per game, nerf toolboxes and nerf med-kits, nerf dead hard, nerf CoH. Make maps smaller And maybe, just MAYBE. Swf wont be an issue
-
@SilentShepherd said:
Had enough. Uninstalled 5 minutes ago and came to write this post.
- devs actually claiming SWF is not cheating LOL. Sold their souls to the devil (figure of speech)
- the broken mechanics that all favor the Survivors
- the insane grind required to unlock the good perks so you can compete better
- Being forced to run Lightborn or else suffer the toxic flashlight abuse
- the most famous Killer on your roster (Myers) is trash tier and dependent on grinding BP to buy addons (Myers is the entire reason I bought this game + DLC on my 1st day in the first place, imagine my disappointment on finding out how trash he is compared to other Killers)... but the dev's don't care because he's an old release and most of their playerbase already has him. If there's no money to be earned, why improve your game, am i right?
- lol @ the devs doing an Epic Games giveaway in order to re-fill the ranks of people who will quit to VHS/Propnight etc. Why bother fixing the game? Nah, just get new suckers to come in to replace those of us who leave.
- i could go on and on but i'm not going to.
The new killer is good but it's not my style.
I bought this game a week or two before Halloween Oct 31 2021. I'm leaving to greener pastures. Propnight is way more fun.
I've seen enough, and I would never have left if it wasn't for the devs attitude and lack of integrity. SWF is clearly an unfair advantage, knowing the location of killer at all times is THE SINGLE MOST important factor in any game. Anyway I'm done talking to a brick wall who just cares about selling their souls to take the easy road.
Bye. I'm off to Propnight. It's fun.
I agree with everything you have said
SWF is clearly cheating, and that may sound wierd but it is. Comms were never supposed to be a thing. But seen as it is a thing. Can we get 2 killers and 8 survivors as normal dbd so killers can have comms? Survs have to do 10 gens aswell

The topics you make contradict themselves an hour before this one you said ruin and scourge hook is the only slowdown you need now you're begging for nerfs. Stop posting crap.
I had that in the back of my head before making this. I changed my mind. Nothing stops survivors if you give them enough time. And I'm not posting crap. Sabotaging, wastes time for me. DS, BT, Chases, Body Blocking. I have had it. Now stop being an ass.
-
@Clevite said:
Yes, please take a break, it's a video game. If you were in any other relationship, and it was causing this reaction, you would leave, right?
So, do yourself the same solid here.
BTW, doubtful you will see any significant survivor nerfs. Kill rate is still over 50%, and that is what the devs balance around
they shouldn't balance around that, that's why new killers get nerfed
-
@Huge_Bush said:
If a video game is causing you to lose your sanity, I suggest you stop playing and focus on your health and even seek counseling.
As for the game, survivors have always been and will always be the power role as long as they’re competent and not potatoes. Don’t expect the devs to change it any time soon.
top one, 100% true. but I cant and won't.
bottom one. Makes ######### all sense how this is even the truth. This shouldn't ever be the case, you should be scared of the killer, not wanting to go directly to them and loop them/ bully them
-
@dugman said:
No Way Out is also pretty solid. It’s a free automatic extra 60 seconds at the end of the match with an added noise alert to let you know where the survivor who tried to use the gate is.
true. im planning on using: thrill of the hunt

That's exactly what I wanted to prove with that example no body would accept such a killer perk but DH is fine somehow
I just want survivors to get massively nerfed so killers the power role, nerf dead hard, nerf CoH, make maps smaller, nerf boons so there's 2 boons placeable per boon perk u have. Make gen speeds 10s slower across the board.
-
@Psycho_ said:
artist is just huntress with extra steps. i mean. doesnt it only injure if its an unobstructed path within range of the crow. 6m or something?
yeah but u can snipe better than huntress and patrol gens better too.
-
@jesterkind said:
Boon mechanics are basically fine, all that's needed is to make them not go through multiple floors and to maybe look at making snuffing very slightly more impactful. Also reworking totem spawns, depends on if you count that as a boon mechanic.
Infinite reblessing is fine, Circle of Healing is the problem. Even as they are right now, if you take CoH out of the equation, having infinitely available Shadow Step and Exponential with some time investment is perfectly reasonable because one of those is strong but balanced and the other one is honestly kind of garbage- Shadow Step and Exponential respectively, there.
The infinite reblessing isn't a balance problem, it's the core design. Everything else should be balanced around that.
Dude, you have an infinite resource of healing from the ground up. the problem with boons is they are an infinite resource. That's literally it. An infinite resource.
My solution is to make it so there's a ban system. The killer can select 2 maps to ban, and the killer can also pick where their hexes spawn, so they are in more control over the game. this would be awesome.
Also, they should make all big maps smaller.
Remove house of pain, or nerf it. Rework Haddonfield, Remove lots of pallets from "The Game" gideon meat packing.
Thats all they should do
-
@BubMickey07 said:
Im so sick of people complaining about borrowed time its literally fine
If it bothers you so bad why are you tunneling?
because it counters the only thing we can do to not get gen-rushed and not get a single kill? I know tunneling is annoying, but if BT is there at least nerf survivors to the point we can play normally and not tunnel then I will be fine with it.
Now the big issue about nerfing survivors is they are already abnormally weak at low MMR. so the only thing you can do is shrink maps. Now, if ur a new player u will get punished for that, which is a double-edged sword. Good and bad. makes killer more healthy but also unbalanced for the newer players. Which is why i think you should be able to run a custom game by yourself so you can practice as killer/survivor
-
@Starrseed said:
The thing is every other exhaustion perk can make the chase longer but that's Okey if you make it to a window and the get lithe I was obviously not in range to stop you from vaulting but the amount of fair downs that get prevented with DH is just obscure.
We are in a big wall loop mind gaming each other I win could down you but you just need to pull out your get free card even so you lost the mind game. So there is no reason for me to be good at mind games or to enhance my skill cause almost every surv is running DH.
if killers had a perk where let's say when I miss a hit the hit I just get dragt into the survivor and get the hitsurvivors would rant like hell and rightfully so
it's true though. If you miss a hit then tp to the survivor and hit them in a killer perk. But it's a dead-hard killer version lmao. The only upside being u have to be injured with dead hard and say this gets added the killer perk, you can only use it when you're recovering from ur power? so nurse now can tp to u no matter what. Easy, huntress? no problem just TP. Dead Hard is busted and is the survivor's precious crutch so they can call themselves skilled
-
@Barbarossa2020 said:
I don't mind that it can be used to create distance, thats fine, but to negate a hit that does hit you, i.e a hatchet straight to the back of your head is just silly.
I came up with an idea to nerf dead hard that actually fits this.
Basically, dead hard no longer has I-Frames to killer powers, so you get hit by blight rush, huntress hatchet, artist crows, etc.
Nurse, however, i do believe should be countered by dead hard. As she has 3 blinks with an add-on it wont matter tbh

everyone wants dead hard gutted lol so the bottom point is just unpopular opinion. Plus, Dead Hard is nothing but a crutch

@GeneralV said:
I just want this from DH:
"After the Dash, you cannot interact with Pallets or Windows for 5 seconds."
And done!
Now you can use it to dodge a hit, as it should.
But using it for distance? In your dreams.
maybe true. but there should never be a perk that can reward bad plays, id say just remove it or your suggestion and i would be completely fine with it

Are we not allowed to play with friends? Do I really deserve to get banned because I like to play survivor with people I usually hang out with? It makes no sense and it’s nauseating to hear.
I have over 1300 hours in this game and have never complained about SWFs in my killer games. If I lose, I either get annoyed by the map, bugs, or I just come to realization that I didn’t play well enough. It’s not survivors’ faults for wanting to play with their friends.
Sorry for the rant, but as someone who probably has more bias towards killer than survivor, I really get annoyed hearing that SWF is off limits.
I fully agree. SWF is the issue, however, communication was never supposed to be a thing in dbd and is mostly the issue why this game is op, so they nerf survivors and then solo-q suffers more because of swf. but you shouldnt feel reluctant to play with mates

A few tricks:
- Her biggest weakness is stairs. Change your elevation rapidly and her crows are useless.
- Repel swarms ASAP. Too many people let these linger, giving me chances for damage.
- If you see her plant a crow at a loop, move to the next loop. She slows down considerably when doing so.
- Treat her like you would a Huntress. Bait her shots, be careful looping her and juke her shots in the open.
- If you eat a long distance crow, expect a visit from her soon.
- Predrop pallets and don't try close-range mindgames with her unless you are very confident.
- When unhooking someone, make sure to watch out for incoming crow barrages - bodyblock them if need be.
- Try to avoid staying injured for too long.
- She can take a long time in chase, despite her decent 1v1 do gens while she chases someone else.
lets go point by point. I play artist a lot and have 4ked so many times I think I can give a say on this
- Not many maps have stairs iirc. But yes she is weak to them. I usually hit them with a crow and if I know there is stairs nearby I will just chase them to m1 or use my crows if need be
- This is absolutely true, and usually I use thick tar if I have it to increase the chance of me getting a hit off with a crow, I always expect them to instantly repel, but I pay attention to the aura in case. If they are injured I only do it so they are distracted from using dead hard or dropping pallets.
- A good artist will know this and keep it in the back of their heads. And usually think ahead and trap 1-2 crows on a loop and the other 1 on a loop or 2 on the 2 opposing loops you could migrate to
- This can work if done right, however, I usually place them in a \|/ so they don't get much options on what to do.
- This is absolutely true, this is why I always place yet again a \|/ formation of crows to see if i can get a hit off or crow them again before I get there
- Not much you can really do about pre-dropped pallets. But i usually place a crow next to a pallet, even if its upright to see what the will do, they drop it? they get hit or swarmed before dropping it.
- I actually can confuse survivors when It comes to this. I basically do this very weirdly, one survivor I don't swarm, the other one I usually do, except if I'm in a chase. two I don't, two I do, back to one.
- I run Thorny Nest and A Nurses Calling for this exact reason, Pentimento included.
- This is true, i take some time to chase sometimes and this is why when I get the chance to I will fly 1-2 at the survivor and the remaining at the generators. I usually pre-place my crow to predict where they are after i placed my 3 crows aswell.

No, you got me wrong, you are right in everything you said, at least in the OP and this reply (didn't really read all comments). She does not need a nerf per say, or maybe it is a nerf I dunno, but for her to not be able to chase into crows, so like she either tries to get you with them or a normal attack, not both options being available at the same time. Of course a 3 blink nurse is more OP, or rather, the actual OP out of the 2, but at least you can run left right, try something. The mechanic I'm talking about it's just broken.
what mechanic are you hinting at, exactly?
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2677923#Comment_2677923
Yes, I'm a magician and I know when she's going to use her crows lol. I hear crows when she's chasing someone else as well so... it's this a bug or that's how her power works. I don't need nothing. That's my opinion about her. I just don't like her at all.
you can hear them as they move and they don't strike instantly if your far away
-
@razvicool said:
The fact a lot of people just spam her crows and try to only get hits this way and it works is pretty ridiculous already, but what I really want to know is what to do in the situation where she puts a crow which would damage you if you run forward and she is coming from behind. Her power button release period is way too short, just like The Executioner, except she can hit you from any 3 directions she has set up. She has the same benefits the trapper, executioner and nemesis have, all in one and all better. She definitely needs adjustments. I would rather play against 3 blink nurses than this poorly designed killer.
Dude, your crying about a killer that hasn't been released for a week yet. just let her solidify in the meta before asking for nerfs. Oh, and 3 blink nurse is way more op than the artist lol
-
@kamidak said:
She is fine, guys... the fact she can sniper anyone through walls, anywhere, any map no matter how far the gen are and also have the massive BBQ perk making it way "easier"... it blows my mind how she are only a B tier killer.
Because Holding W + LOS restrictions weaken this killer to a degree.
-
@Sakurra said:
I don't like nothing about this killer. The fact that her crows can go everywhere is ridiculous.
It's completely fine dude. If anyone complains. They just need to learn the killer, she has not even been out for a week. Let her sink in and fit in then look for changes needed
-
@CrowVortex said:
I think the damage crow is fine, it's 8m and a straight line. If they do nerf that though, they can increase the repel time to 12-15 seconds seeing as it doesn't damage on first hit.
Generally think they will nerf the distance the crows travel though, cause god forbid stealthy survivors can't sit on gens and urban away anymore. XD
they shouldnt even do that. She is fine as is

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/298258/enough-is-enough
So your saying that survivors tbaging and clicking just to anyone the killer with no strategic value is not toxic and ok but a killer camping a hook to take advantage of survivor altruism or secure a kill is toxic?
he is acknowledging it's toxic. just not an advantage. And a killer camping is NOT EVER toxic, literally just to get 1 singular kill if need be
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Seems to me deathslinger needs some more nerfs
Instructions unclear. We will now be deploying a nerf to the pig, the trapper and the hillbilly
-
@dspaceman20 said:
I think the perk itself needs a nerf. It's strong which I like but I do think it's too strong and hurts a lot of killers. Thankfully there are easy ways to nerf it to be fair and without killing it like how most killers want it be. There are two ways to balance it.
1. Don't let it stack with other healing perks or Medkits
This is the main problem that makes it op imo. Why didn't they do this in the beginning is beyond me
2. Slightly lower the healing speed to 90 or 80%.
Lowering the speed most likely wouldn't make it bad. 90% Increase healing speeds are still really strong.
That is all that needs to be done. Do this and it more fair. Im not going into changing boons themselves because that's another discussion but I think this is the best way to make it more balanced. What do you think?
i would make it so each survivor can only heal 1 or 2 times per CoH boon totem. And then nerf the boons in general so that you can only place 2/3/4 per match depending on rarity
-
@Faulds said:
Balance wise, since SWF have an info advantage against solo q, it might sound smart to create a vocal chat so that advantage disappears. And then, you'd be able to make killers viable against anything.
But, on another note, since survivors are pretty entitled and easily triggered... would it be really good to add a vocal chat if it creates more toxicity while in game? That is what i'm worried about, and why i'm a bit against it.
What's your thoughts?
no. This game was never built for communication. The only circumstance that i will allow this is if they nerf survivors gen speeds, meta perks, shrink maps.) If not, No lol.

@RoachesDelight said:
They shouldn't nerf anything about her

@Kebek said:
She is perfect exactly the way she is now yes.
But if people were too adamant about the first crow damage hit and wanted it removed, she should also get a cooldown buff so that she can use more crows more often to offset such a big nerf that imo she doesn't need.
yeah cooldown maybe -3 seconds

- Countered by plenty of perks.
Honestly the only thing bad about them is the survivor holding them t-bagging and clicking.
true.

Just because you get coordinated survivors does not mean high mmr. Maybe mmr higher than you should be but the idea is you lose and go down.
There are ways to avoid flashlight saves without a wall. Bait them out, have a quick check around before picking up. Run lightborn.
I run lightborn in most of my builds even when I don’t see flashlights in the lobby. I find them kinda annoying but that’s on me and I run the tools provided to avoid them.

@Ssajbambusa said:
I love the idea behind these perks, but there is one core issue with them: They spawn randomly. Killer can literally get no use out of these perks, just because game decided so. Sabo is other story (actually cool interaction).
Second problem is... both Scourge Hook perks killers have avaible now are not that strong anyway!
Basement hooks should be Scourge Hooks by default as this is meant to be 'the worst possible place to be hooked in' thematically. Gameplay wise it's good too as basement is not so easy to get someone hooked at unless the missplay terribly.
Trial should start with 0 Scourge Hooks and simply hooking survivor on a normal hook should turn it into Scourge one, so rng is not as impactful. If you say it's op, limit the max amount of Scourge Hooks from 4 to 3, but I don't think it's necessary.
If the above is unacceptable for some reason, simply buff the perks so they are high risk, high reward, just like hexes are (Let's be honest, most are medium reward, high risk, but you get the point).
dude pain resonance is so goated

Terribly designed killer, she is just a triple pyramid head that you cannot loop since she just places birds at every vault and pallet in a loop.
Since she has no mobility, me and my SWF teammates just genrush anyways for a guaranteed 2 man escape, which is usually a 3/4 man escape anyways. Just hope chase power is gutted and she is given some interesting movement ability.
Another alternative suggestion I have is to let survivors opt-out of playing against her
And while we are on that track, we should let killers opt-out of playing RPD and haddonfield.
no dude #########, shes such a good designed killer.
