  • I wonder what is the feature that is not ready for the next patch that they are talking about.

Have AI control the other, but move alot slower.

    *looks at Nemesis' zombies*

Yeah, that is not going to work.

The thing is i noticed this at like 100 hours in, the game looked aswesome from afar, but as you get into you just get bored, now im 940 hours and it still feels that way, this game isnt like league or csgo to where you can play for thousands of hours and find enjoyment tbh

Brother, you started getting bored of the game and decided investing another 840 would make it more fun?

After the recent rework of RPD whether you think good or bad, what maps do you think are either balanced too much in favour or survivor or in favour of killer.

When playing killer I find meat plant a frustrating pallet fest which is just impossible for some killers.

I think RPD is slightly survivor sided as I find it much better for looping and easier to evade killer since rework.

Swamp, I get the urge to gouge my eyeballs out every time I get that map. On top of being unappealing half of the structures are confusing as hell.

Just had a Steve in my lobby who was prestige 52. Highest I've seen so far, before that 21 was the highest.

Anyone seen anything close to that? I assumed he was a hacker and dodged the lobby, seems a bit high this soon?

Why does every Steve I go against has the most god awful cosmetic combination known to man?

  • @HoodedWildKard said:

Doesn't one of his add ons already do that? Plus it'd basically just be like demo's shred but better.

No, that add-on makes it so that he breaks the pallet instead off vaulting it. OP's proposal would make it so that you both vault the pallet and destroy it, like iri pin on legion.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

Midwich, Lery, RPD would be my top 3

Swamp, Swamp, Wreckers Yard would probably be the worst imo. Maybe a shoutout to haddonfield due to decent loops + any gens on the street are near impossible to get to without just normal walking most of the way.

Lery's? That map is absolutely bonkers for dredge, a lot of lockers, his power works on basically every loop except the god pallets and nightfall makes traversing the map an absolute nightmare.

Edit: Nevermind I thought you were refering to his worst maps.

  • For real though, I have caught some survivors completely off guard. People really underestimate just how much distance the second dash covers.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    ok but explain blight

blight is loud AF. If you can't hear him coming from far away that's on you, if you have ever played with Vigo's journal (the add-on that makes him undetectable during his dashes) you will realize just how much reaction time his grunts give to survivors.

Yeah only streamers can have opinions on gameplay; everything they say is correct. They are not just regular people who have a youtube account and an opinion.

    Cringe.

that is literally the theme and title of the video tho.

  • @Pulsar said:

    I'd honestly say wait.

He's just okay against really good players and he's very map dependant.

I really don't get why people are saying he is map dependant, he is covered for basically any map. The only ones I have been struggling on are the one that are brutally huge like red forrest but that is pretty much the same for every other killer.

  • My brother really took a video from Scott and made it into a post.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Killers are weak, which is why they needed stuff like pre-nerf Pop/Pain Res to play catchup. The best examples of killer weakness is when you play M1 killers like Freddy or Pig, with or without perks. They have nothing for them in chase, so you're struggle to get a single down against good survivors. I don't allow myself to be fooled when I get 3ks and 4ks, because I'm reminded that those were given to me rather than earned, and that's a result of survivors having the advantage from the start. Top caliber or approaching top caliber survivors can just do the gens in the blink of an eye, and regardless of it they go down quick or not, you're not gonna be able to get them out of the game in time to play catchup. Remember, Prove Thyself and toolboxes were not touched, and new gen speed tools like Overzealous and Deja Vu were introduced.

It's so rough for killer, I literally don't try out new perks but for a few matches and on certain killers, because unless it's blatantly meta shifting like if we got a new Pain Res equivalent, it's probably not worth shoehorning into your build to see if it works or not. This mentality has crossed over to how I play survivor, not really testing out new/fun perks or builds. It's the price of being competitive.

When you play killer you either stop caring about losing, or you do everything you can to minimize your losses, which often times isn't enough. There's still too many broken loops for survivors on every map that have no gameplay for 90% of the killer cast. Quicker attack cooldown and 10-second longer gens didn't change any of this. The biggest downside of playing killer competitively is that you're constantly hit with gaslighting, virtue signaling, and skill questioning from the community. It takes guts to make posts like yours, truth be told.

Problem is most people don't want to play competitively, and the ones that do don't really care if you are playing at the max of your abilities (hard tunneling, proxy camping, slugging), they will just answer by doing the exact same thing you are doing: Playing efficiently. And the problem is that this game just isn't designed to be played competitively, it has too many RNG elements to be considered remotely viable for competitive play, and the most efficient playstyles are very uninteractive.

Nothing is stopping you from playing the way you like and having a competitive mentality, if you just play "scummy" you will start noticing the differences on your kill rate. Just don't get mad when the other side also plays at the fullest of it's abilities.

  • You guys somehow manage to turn everything into an us vs them conversation lmao.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

They did it to help survivor mains, but they should have realized that you can never please survivor mains.

How the ######### is this beneficial for survivors in any way shape or form? It gives him amazing synergies with perks that are otherwise mediocre and makes him extremely confusing on indoor maps. Reaction time doesn't really matter when you can cover 30-ish meters with your two bounds.

  • @Jivetalkin13 said:

With the introduction of Roots of Dread, the first every Killer Debuff was introduced that survivors could inflict on Killers in the form of Risidual Manifest.

Would it be a good idea to add more perks/ rework some perks to add Debuffs to killers?

    What perks would you rework?

As long as it isn't too bothersome. Giving survivors the ability to apply debuffs should be handled very carefully, give the balance of an assymetrical game.

  • @RiskyKara said:

We kind of have it already with Demo's and Dredge's Mori, but I mean vore as the core mechanic of their power.

Clown kind of counts but he's more about post mortem cannibalism than actual vore.

Would FNAF count as vore or do you think he'd end up being a jump scare killer like hag and doctor?

Edit: Just got hit with a genius idea. Lamia killer. Could even see paralysis using venom or construction to fill out the kit with vore. Could be an alternative hook state like with Papa Pyramid's Cage.

Bruh, some of you guys need an urgent bonk.

  • @MiniSlime said:

    Hello.

Since PTB,There was a technique (or bug) that when Wesker jumps over a pallet, the survivor could stand right next to it so that he could slip past Wesker and jump over the pallet without taking damage.

When Wesker came to the live server, devs added a spec that Wesker attacks nearby survivors when he jumps over the pallet, so now this technique is no longer available, right?

However, I have yet to see Wesker attack a survivor once when he jumps over a pallet. It is as if the Survivor can walk right past Wesker with no damage, just as it did with the PTB.

Have you guys ever seen the moment when Wesker is attacking the survivor when he vault the pallet?

(I'm Japanese so my english may be poor. Thank you for reading!)

Yes, I have been getting some unexpected hits after vaulting a window. Works specially well on shack.

I strongly urge you to rework this godawful mission, the orange glyph mission from page 4 of the current tome gives the killer some absolutely brutal debuffs.

Being stunned by a survivor will last up to 10 seconds now, breaking pallets takes around 5 seconds and the same applies for kicking gens. It's absolutely disgusting, especially if you're playing on a map like Gideon Meat Plant.

Please, for the love of god, REWORK this unreasonable mission. No one can get 6 hooks under these circumstances and the reward is too meager considering the abuse you have to endure if you attempt it.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1GZ72EECC1D1/unwinnable.png

10 seconds of stun? What? No, it's far less than that, stop exaggerating. It's a challenge on the fourth level of the tome, of course it's going to be difficult. If you are having so much trouble I recommend playing nurse or any other killer that has an alternate way of dealing with pallets and breakable wall, I finished this challenge with Nemesis just fine.

  • "just play nurse lmao"

    BHVR probably.

Also real numbers are these. If you equip brutal strenght it will be the same breaking speed as pre 6.1.0.

  • Very, the only reason I won't main him is because my heart already belongs to everyone's favorite well dwelling cutie.

I really don't get all the clunkiness complaints, if anything for having such a good power most of his cooldowns feel really smooth from my perspective.

  • I have gone full matches without using my M1, I decided to stop using STBFL because it was a wasted perk slot most of the time. I know I am in the minority, but I really don't think that the hitbox is that bad, it's all about making reads on the survivors. I wouldn't mind if it was bigger of course. The bugs ARE a pain in the ass though, I hope they are dealt with tomorrow.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

Pretty much like the current incentives work only say Twins would have it or Hag or whatever killers are least played at the time in order to try and promote killer diversity in matches.

No amount of BP will make me play hag.

  • @Mooks said:

You are using a controller, right?

the perk is punishing controller players for existing while it’s already disadvantageous to play killer on controller. The perk itself isn’t overpowered though.

It may be just me, but in my personal experience boil over was much more manageable with a controller.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3172028#Comment_3172028

Not quiet. You can bring toolbox with BNP and Prove Thyself. Survivors can finish first gen even before killer come to gen with this build. Because they will spawn together, this means they can get max value from PT.

I don't think this would fix early game issue for killers.

Having a gen finished quickly is better than having multiple gens being worked on at the same time.

  • @Aurelle said:

    Definitely Plague.

Dredge, Billy, and Huntress are close seconds, though.

Plague at the very least carries her censer which should mitigate the odor.

This is barely hyperbole. Literally every Nemesis I go against just tunnels and camps as aggressively hard as possible. I often joke with my friends when we go against Nemesis that they're gonna get camped and tunneled if Nemesis downs them; and then, like clockwork, that's exactly what happens, every single time. It's like parody at this point.

People joke about Bubba camping, but most of the Bubbas I go against are willing to actually play normal matches. Virtually every Nemesis I face just spends literally the entire match chasing/camping one person.

    S.T.A.R.S.!

  • @DEMONANCE said:

bhvr scammed you people with a killer with no chase power and a useless side mecanic, a useless stealth, useless addons.

and then the very next chapter they designed a killer with probably the best tp ability in the game, a chase power, good addons, unique and scary design, a side mecanic that actually helps (nightfall) but you guys still wanna argue that she is good WOW.

the question should be, why play sadako over dredge or wraith or freddy i even think trapper might be stronger than her but that's debatable.

    Because she is fun lmao.

  • @Tsulan said:

Fascinating how the same people that complain about only facing nurse, blight and now wesker. Are the people that cherrish not facing hag anymore.

I am not complaining. I hate hag and I am happy I don't have to face her.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

Terminus counters Adrenaline, yes, but that’s literally what it‘s supposed to do. It serves no purpose until endgame and then essentially acts as a weaker version of noed that isn’t a hex and then goes away when the exits are opened. Personally I don’t think terminus is even that good on its own; it might get some use in endgame builds but that’s about it.

Adrenaline is still going to be a great perk and on the off chance a killer has Terminus, oh well. You will still get the speedboost.

Sincerely, a survivor main and Adrenaline enjoyer

It basically forces survivors to open up the exit gates if they want to rescue.

  • Holy #########, that IS small.

  • @ArchAbhor said:

The idea is that PH's mechanics directly interfere with the entities rules for the trials. Denying the entity the hook states and kills so he can instead kill them his way. I think if thats true the moris as a whole are kind of against the "entities rules". If true another big offender is pinhead since he steals them away from the trial with his mori.

I think that with Pinhead it's more an agreement between the entity and the leviathan.

"yo dude can my man Pinhead bring me some souls from your trials to condemn"

    "yeah sure why not"

  • I really, really don't get the complaints. I played him exclusively yesterday and I don't see most of the issues people seem to be going on about. I mean, if there is this much people complaining then I am probably in the wrong, but despite some of the casual collision issues he is still great for mobility and can cut off loops with enough precision.

  • @Irisora said:

How bad can you be to die so many time againts the bugy mess Wesker is right now? I can't count with my fingers all the times i have been robbed while using the bound.. that and the awful collisions make him barely playable.

I am sorry but that is probably almost entirely on you. The collision is fairly better than in the PTB, you can actually go through doorways and the like. The hitbox sure is tiny but you should be able to get survivors most of the time regardless if you can accurately read their movements.

  • The devs really need to reconsider how they balance maps. Every map released and reworked since Eyrie of Cringe has been an absolute pain to play in.

  • I have been noticing it most egregiously in shack, there are some window hits I should have definetely gotten just to get BHVR'd last second. To be fair, I have noticed a lot of bullshit hits on my behalf, sometimes it's too lenient, and sometimes it's ridiculous.

  • Alternate chase theme would be awesome, but it would probably make things complicated given how legion mixtapes' work.

  • @kizuati said:

Do you remember when Bloodlust got introduced they nerfed it because it way too fast?

It had the numbers 12/24/36 seconds respectively for each tier.

Guess what are the numbers now?

    15/25/35 seconds.

2016 BHVR MAKES BETTER BALANCE CHANGES THAN 2022 BHVR. ????

Bro never had to loop in the macmillan and coldwind god loops.

  • I really like him. I personally think people are overblowing the issue with his hitbox, but I wouldn't mind if they made it bigger.

  • @DoritoHead said:

I really don’t want to see people thirst over a war criminal

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3162283#Comment_3162283

So we only want easy maps? Because we aren't very adaptable?

Blood lodge and wreckers yard aren't easy to play on and they are pretty good maps because they have loops that actually allow players to project their skill and outplay other players properly. It's not just "oh ######### we ran out of god pallets I can't do literally anything".

  • @Gary_Coleman said:

I thought the original was a great map. I'm not sure why people didn't like it. I guess they just want more of the exact same thing and dislike variety? Or it was too big and that made them feel small? I don't get it. Must be little kids complaining again because it doesn't make sense.

    1. Hard as ######### to navigate if you had no previous RE experience
    2. Pallet ridden as hell, predropping everything could literally win you the game
    3. Gens could spawn in awkard locations and took ages to find

Basically, unless you were nurse or an stealth killer, this map was (and still is to a big extent) hell to play in.

  • @Lycidas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3161735#Comment_3161735

And you wouldn't lose that if they were to add an optional way to skip it for those who don't like it

Just talking from personal experience. I definetely wouldn't mind such an option.

  • Not gonna lie, I kind of do. The feel of stacking add-ons feels great.

  • @Ladyinadress18 said:

Hey, when I activate wiretap, do survivors working with me also hear the boodoodoop sound effect to know it has been activated? Or will they just randomly see the killer’s aura and not always know why?

I only played Ada on the PTB but from what I recall I don't think you get a sound notification.

  • It helps him a lot on some god loops.
