Still fun as heck.
Some changes to get used to depending how long you've been gone for but overall still just as addictive, and (imo) a bit more balanced/fun on both sides. But then again, you're asking the forums. So prepare for the mass "Garbage, 0/10, worst game ever!" from people who continue to play thousands of hours.

Getting healed is still faster and more safe than using SC, if you have it.
I agree, however there are many that don't (not my screenshot). This kinda bs happens super often and to the point where some people refuse heals from teammates to self care. So silly.

-
-Helps with those perform 180 sec of coop action
-Avoid being sandbagged
-Know if someone is keeping the killer busy nearby
-Useful for flashlight saves while close enough to actually pull them off
-Combos well with Leader/other assist perks since running leader and not being near anyone is kinda pointless
-Good for getting quick heals if not running self care -
Dude, where are you finding all these facecampers? You know I play the same platform as you, and I've played nothing but survivor since the event started and haven't found a single one (rank 1 though).
Penalizing killers who camp is total BS. Yes camping sucks as a tactic and isn't fun for anyone but when you open that Pandora's box suddenly people are crying to penalize looping (If survivors loop the same pallet more than 1x they should watch their chase BP go down! If survivors sit in the gate waiting for everyone to get out/be safe, they should lose blah blah blah points, seems silly right?).
Rewarding going after others is a better option than punishing them for doing what they want/what works for them (it wouldn't work if everyone just learned not to reward camping by being overly altruistic or by just staying crouched around the hook instead of working gens btw).Forcing anyone to play how you want is not fair to them.
They paid to play just as much as you did (and hey, more than people that grabbed the game during the free month).
Unless they're breaking rules, just deal with it/adapt/learn how to counter it or suck it up and move on to the next match. It's really not that common after you rank up, so why let a couple bad games get you that upset. -
This week is Mash it Up (community clips/fanart/etc).
Q&A is set for Nov 15th from the looks of it.

Dwight and Hillbilly
Love bond and leader too much to not have them.
Enduring is a must since I am not about to start respecting pallets, lightborn because screw your flashlight saves and tinkerer for the cross map no heartbeat jumpscares.I'd miss exhaustion perks and self care, but Bond works for finding heals well enough.

While I don't have the long lobby issue (ps4) I'd love this system.
-Helps out those who do have those issues
-Gives additional incentive to play both sides beyond dailies (personally believe everyone should play both to -have a better understanding of the game, and issues on both sides)- Slightly lessens the insane grind that gets worse with every new chapter (and the 6 new teachables that come with it) is a damn good thing.
No downsides besides "But the bloodpoint economy!" imo
-
Jake's bun hairstyle is part of the Headcase DLC which is still available.
The unobtainable Jake ones is Sharp Mustache (bundled with Dweard) and Daddy Jake which you can still get from people who have codes (mmorpg used to do a ton of code giveaways). Can usually be found on ebay for a ridiculously marked up price.
-
I'm getting full lobbies within 2 minutes at rank 2-1 (depending on the prev match), but on PS4. Plenty of survivors to go around there.
######### fps/lack of optimization is worth it when it means you can actually get games.

Plz give us GrandDaddy Myers from the new movie. Thx

I'm sorry for thisThe Wraith lost his weapon once. He tried to remember where it was, but nothing rang a bell.
It takes a while for the Nurse to learn her power, but when she does, it'll leave you breathless.
Why does the Huntress wear a bunny mask? So you can't hurt a hare on her head.
Why did Leatherface wear an extra jacket? He got chili.
I tried going to the Doctor for a check-up. It was a shocking experience.
I got a letter from the Hag today. She said that she'd love to have me for dinner.
The Spirit had a rough day. She really fell apart, but she'll pull herself back together.
I love and hate you at the same time.
More plz

Why did Huntress run to the locker?
Because she didn't have Anna-more Hatchets to throw!

Hope it was just an intern.Please. Think before you speak. Keep in mind this is literally BHVR's first ever own IP video game, and on top of that, this is the first time they messed with the idea of a secondary objective. It's a learning experience for them.
They should pay [BAD WORD] testers instead of using us.
I like bhvr, the game and the lore of this event, but they should fire the guy, it ruined the game for everyone."everyone"
Reminder : You aren't everyone.
I know tons of people that enjoyed the event even with some of the issues that happened (vial issues, lobby times when vials were separate).
Do you ever post anything positive, or is it always some biased rant? -
Not a chance.
I despise companies that do the whole "Pay full price for the game! And monthly to play it! And don't forget to buy any expansions/DLC!" -
So far these (Wraith head, trapper body, doctor head, billy head/torso). I liked how they looked combined with either prestige or other cosmetics I owned (even though it meant taking off trap daddy's booty shorts).

The only full outfits I want are Dwight and Wraith, but even Wraith I kind of dig more with it being mixed with prestige. I'm probably just going to end up buying everything else for the killers I play anyways after I max out vials

-
Do you really want to be rank 1 though? Long wait times are the real killer in this game.
Stick with the rank 12-8 sweet spot where you don't feel bad for stomping new players, don't have a horrible lobby time, and can still play around with weird/fun perk builds instead of sticking to the meta.
If anyone talks trash because you aren't rank 1, they're likely the same type of people to send hatemail post game about using your killers ability, or calling things like Bitter Murmur or Left behind OP

This would help better players have better quality games overall. People who clearly don't actually want to play the game, but lack the intelligence and/or willpower to just uninstall and move on, are no longer able to ruin the game for everyone else. By being restricted to KYF games only, they can [BAD WORD] off all they want during their games (and also make it impossible to refund since they can still play the game without the online factor - see F13 for reference).wait... better players? But why are these better players in the same ranks as people who lose THAT often.
Hmm something isn't adding up. Maybe stop deranking into the less skilled player ranks and let people have fun with the game they paid for. -

How has no one said the only right answer yet? Daddy Myers.
I am ashamed of you all.
-
Even if there aren't bans for the game, you can report it to the platform. PSN and Xbox don't take communication abuse lightly and they'll very likely get a ban for that (communications ban, escalating to online services and all that).
-
Why is this a someone lost/was wrong argument?
Can't we just take it as a positive that devs listened to something and make a positive change due to players overwhelming feedback? It doesn't affect gameplay in anyway so it's not like folding on a buff/nerf.
-
Thank you devs

It's fantastic to see feedback is listened to ^_^ -
Yes.
Idc what it is. I'm opening it

But not everyone has a twitter, I hardly use twitter, I hadn't heard about this until I made this here post.
I like the Mega thread idea that was brought up, and if not that, then some sort of communication within the forum, would be amazing!
100% agree. For being the official forum, info/PR sharing is pretty low. I only ever check twitter to keep up to date on DbD stuff (wow, that's actually sad. RIP me) because I know that's usually where things like this are posted and I have 11k people to keep up to date lol.
Most CM responses I've seen about the event posts have been "eh take what we give you, it's more than the last event". Mcote didn't say anything about changing things now, but still managed to make it a hell of a lot more encouraging just by acknowledging peoples complaints/feedback.
He probably had to work customer service in a previous job

Heres a summary of the stream in case you can't view video (work or something).
Quick answer though.
-Shards havent been confirmed. Looks like it will be Auric Cell or Event currency only. Auric price likely to be ultra rare price range (1080 usually).
-Only available to use event currency for the 2 weeks, but will still be available for auric cells after the event ends
Check the link for all the details given today though
-
It is a PR mistake but not necessarily for the reasons you bring up (although it is part of it).
-They hyped the event up more than any other. Made cool ass cinematics for before/during and claim it to be their biggest and best event ever
-Rewards are a choice of 1 out of 7 outfits (or 3 individual pieces in case you just want faces or weapons). These are linked to the lore and all that fun stuff but are they really event cosmetics? They're available forever in the shop for cash. They shouldn't be touted as rewards/event cosmetics as it builds up the expectation that they should all be earnable. They should just be released as a regular old line of cosmetics and not truly associated with the event (no special rarity and all that). Especially since they aren't even only available for a limited time.
-Event itself is just a slightly modified reskin of old events. Just separating main and side objectives while making the side objective a fight against your own team. Well for 1 side. Killer side it's literally the same as always except less frustrating with sabo being gone. While the lobby and in game objectives look awesome, it doesn't really live up to the "biggest, best event ever" hype (if anything that falls on the year 1 anniversary. It was the best event as challenges were varied, based on everyone working together with loads of rewards AND a bloodpoint multiplier).
-Community manager reaction on forums just either quoting snarky posts of people defending the devs, or pretty much saying that hey be happy with the scraps you get, it's more than only getting 2 items like other events! Sorry as much as I support these guys, it just looks bad. They should at least pretend to take their fans criticisms to heart, or be polite in saying something like "We understand the frustration but with how much we invested in this event we felt this was the fairest way to reward our playerbase while also being able to fund/invest in some fantastic future events/cosmetics/whatever". Customer service 101, even if you don't care, pretend like you do. People are more understanding if they're given a reason to be (even if it's just some nice words).
-Imbalance on these "rewards". We all know a large portion of players main one side (usually the loudest ones on forums/reddit/fb), so having 5 super awesome cosmetics for killers while having 2 pretty meh ones for survivors is going to cause survivor mains to be a bit upset. It also causes upset on both sides for being forced to play part of they game they don't like (I get it, I personally think everyone should play both sides for a better understanding of the game and a lot of fun). Unfortunately most people don't want to feel forced to play a role they dislike just to earn their 1 outfit.
I really didn't expect to type this horrible wall of text that no ones going to read anyways or just troll me over but I figured I'd throw it out there. I already spend enough time to be a full time job trying to make the community a less toxic/more helpful/more informed/fun place (through facebook groups), so I figured I'd get it out now before having to put on that happy/devs are always right face to the 11k people losing their ######### tomorrow lmao.
-
-You need to play both sides to unlock the 1 outfit (or 3 separate pieces if you just want heads or something). 15 vials per side/30 total- 10 vials per item/30 for full outfit.
-Can be bought to auric cells "Auric cell cost: About the same as Very Rare items" (so about $10 per full outfit is most likely)
-Not limited time, can be bought for real money any time during or after the event, so not really an event item except that you can unlock 1 for free only during the 2 weeks. Not even an auric cell discount during the event to actually make it seem like they're related beyond the lore (unless they're smart and thought of that but didn't announce it). -
-Play survivor for a day
-Play killer for a day
Spend the remaining 12 days debating what cosmetic I want to use them on while being bitter. -
-Hook placement is fine, why would it matter if they're beside a gen?
-Repair time wasn't touched
-Heal time was increased by 4 seconds. Not even close to doubledYou know what else was changed?
-Slugging was made more required with the sabotage buff, but also made less viable due to the faster and higher recovery/drive by heal buff.
-Alert became insane giving mapwide aura reading, 0 cooldown, only requiring the killer do something they're doing nearly constantly (breaking pallets or gens).
-Leader/vigil/streetwise buff is decent (nothing astounding though, still great for people like me that love leader)
-flashlights made more intuitive so you no longer need to learn where on each killer to aim due to the wonky blindspots
-Hooks now at least 20m apart, so no more being hooked directly infront of your friend
-Camping now punishes the killer (emblems) as survivors have been begging for forever -
2pm EST. About 45min from now, it'll probably go live a bit early (just a countdown screen though).

Well from what I've seen. ngl I don't watch his stream very often, just the occasional YT video, and it's miles less toxic that someone like Pug, ochido, anyone that publicly encourages DCing to derank (or DCing in general).
I could be way off and he could actually be a mega-twat while streaming though lol.
Umm... except he hacked. Plus, he's the slimiest, cringiest SOB out there. God, the half hour long video where he tries to explain away his ban (because of hacking), with the most cheesy melodramatic music playing in the background... "I've been unjustly wronged!"
Honestly there is no bigger twat in dbd than him, including Ochido.Yeah I'm not really up to date on that. I don't care about other peoples drama enough to watch a 30min whine video

If he did hack and got caught for it, then cried out about it, that's p ######### and def shouldn't be part of the program.Personally I think it should showcase the best parts of the community. Not toxic jerks, people that encourage things that are against the rules (DC's, griefing, etc), or anything along those lines.
But we'll probably just end up with more of the same since high view count = easier free marketing. There isn't really a way for them to see the amount of people turned off from the game due to those same streamers sadly. -

flashlight clicking and looping is not toxic. flahslight clicking is a way of communicating with other survivors and killers and looping is how you survive. he has gotten alot less toxic and i watch his streams he is less toxic and doesnt allways bring flashlights in game.

The healing changes are barely noticeable. Hell, even running self care tiers 1 and 2 (dailies with a survivors I never use) I had 0 issues. Even against Freddy (Not that Freddy is hard, just that Freddy is the 'tunnel' king, even though tunneling itself is a dumb made up term because "Muh rulez or reported!")
Maybe run Botany if you need those few extra seconds, or hope your team runs it (or we'll make it).
People acting like the sky is falling over 4 seconds

High rank on PS4 has a mix of almost everything. Lately I've been getting a ton of Myers (but I think it's an October/New Movie hype train because it's usually not like that).
I rarely actually come across Billy anymore at any rank on ps4. It's super weird since he is the best killer on console (well, imo at least) and used to be the killer every other match.Never see Nurse there though, that's for sure. I think I've run into maybe 2 high rank nurses in months (that weren't obviously doing a daily, because baby nurses).
One of the best things about ps4 is the killer variety. Since the FPS and lack of controller sensitivity (even 100% is still garb with nurse) ruin the best killer, it makes it way more fun than the same 2 killers on repeat every damn game.
-
Can we all agree to riot if those horrible fireworks on the lobby ever come back though? Worst lobby audio ever.
-
I'm so happy it's back.
I'll be sad when it changes again when the event starts (y'all know that's going to happen).Although if I could choose, it would be the christmas bells forever. Best music.
-
All I want (well besides the amazing cosmetics) are spoopy flashlights. Let me hoard all the ghosts plz.
-
I played a few hours of survivor last night after the patch and didn't have a single issue with vaulting.
I have seen clips of the ultra slow motion vaults but I'm pretty sure that's a bug. I'm assuming it should be like regular slow vault if you don't hit the window right. It's really not that bad (minus the bugged ones floating around).

I want more jumpscare killers. Someone with 0 Terror Radius/No red Light as part of their kit.
The funnest matches to me are ones where I actually have to pay attention or just turn my camera around and jump when I see Myers just staring at me.I'm sure people will disagree but it's something I personally want.
-
Oh no, survivors can't abuse bad map design for guaranteed wiggle off/run back up/repeat.
What ever will we do now. Learn how to play with skill? Nah, just gonna cry about fair changes some more until they just replace killers with tutorial level AI bots. -
No lag or fps issues? Must be a bug

(But honestly good to hear, can't wait to get home and check it out!) -
Killer Cuddling?
Is shirtless Myers finally out!? Can't wait to snuggle up to that hunk of man

Anything to reduce the amount of toxicity is a damn good thing.

-
Yep!
Sometimes you can just tell they're not having a good match, maybe they have a daily, maybe the team is full of jerks, etc. If I notice this I'll typically go and find them and point at a hook.
Especially during events. Last event there were times they didn't get a single hook, the rest of the survivors were all spamming vaults by the exit and I was like... nah. Went and found them hiding in the basement waiting for everyone to leave and just pointed at the hooks.I really don't mind not escaping. I still pip either way, and whether I'm playing survivor or killer I take pity on people that are either obviously new (Seriously, even at rank 6 solo I get matched with rank 20 no perk killers.. how?), playing someone they usually don't for a daily, etc.
