I remember posting exactly same idea, but everyone disagreed with me, because "GRIEFERS WILL LEAD THE KILLER TO THE LOCKER AND POINT ON IT".

Like Cmon! Griefers will find the way to grief no matter what. Same can be said about all victim aura perks like Better together, Aftercare, etc... Not counting perks like Bond, empathy that can be abused by griefer himself.

Honestly I want them to bring the killer to me so I can stun them, all the better, yayyy! lol

Even for SWF it can be confusing. "I'm in this locker at this part of the building!" and there's 2 or 3 over there.

Yeah I can definitely agree :D

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I mean... it is really, really funny when you do this. I laugh every single time this occurs in my Twins games.

Which unfortunately occurs almost every one of my Twins games.

So Survivors, don’t do this. It is NOT safe to get into a locker against Victor, especially against a player that WON’T be silly enough to have Charlotte and Victor at opposite ends of the map from each other. Even if you manage to break free from the locker, Charlotte will now be really close by, and if she doesn’t get you, you’ll be dealing with Victor AGAIN in just 6 seconds.

IDK tbh, with head on and quick and quiet I've killed viktors using it plenty of times, its saved my ass so much.

  • @Saltjar34 said:

I don't see why not. Now that you think about it, what if the new Blast Mine perk also reveals the trapped gen to other survivors?

It's what I mean it feels like every perk has this QoL aura to it for solo play, yet Head on its so hard to save or aid fellow survivors with it, it would be so nice as a solo player.

  • @Gay_Police_Dept said:

This is no different than getting hit 2 meters aways from a recently dropped pallet. Both sides have to deal with BS sadly.

This, hit validation is awful IMO.

  • @Marik13 said:

The only change I want right now with Head On as a killer, is to have it not stun me from across the damn room. I don't know if the range on it is bugged out currently or what, but I've been having some games recently where that thing stuns when I'm not even close to the lockers x.x

That's more an issue with hit validation, I could say the same about being stunned by pallets, it's something they really need to refine and a different issue entirely.

  • @blue4zion said:

Yes please! The title of your discussion alone made me think highlight the locker for others, this would be an awesome QoL.

Yeah I was playing the other day and the amount of times people saw me go in lockers but didn't catch on what I was trying to do, I thought about it and hoped it would be a good suggestion, glad people seem to agree so far! :D

  • I miss old sabo, new sabo doesn't even keep progress when using a toolbox, I feel I have to trade a hit to get it to work when playing solo due to the time needed to arrive to a survivor who went down on time. It's a pain.

  • I hate Spirit and Deathslinger, and I love demodoggos

  • Honestly, why does wraith and nurse get stunned for "interacting with the spirit realm" but spirit legit in her name, doesn't. Mmkay... love the consistency.

  • @CR79 said:

How about a survivor perk that can break the breakable walls, just like Any Means Necessary or Flashbang, but turn the effect into break the breakable walls.

If it become ture,I think some maps will become more interesting,in especial Grave of Glenvale and Silent Hill

Yes lemme body slam that wood, so I can give my fellow survivors frights LMAO

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I know it's probably been brought up before, but these skins should really have a different voice over than the already established characters. It's probably the one thing that will stop me from purchasing these.

I've seen this done in other games where they weren't able to fit another character in the normal roster, but they did it right by giving them a proper/different voice over thus making them feel like an actual separate character, and not like someone is just wearing a hacked skin mod.

Hopefully they fix Cybils face and introduce Lisa's earing while they are at it too, they come across as a tad obnoxious for the price they cost.

  • @Doomerzan said:

I would assume it would help immensely with sniping and looping, and in order to avoid the perk survivors would have to go slower so there would be no counter or mindgames the survivor could really play.

I love it, it only doesn't work when I'm against Lithe users, but thats okay :D

  • Honestly Spirit in general just needs removed until they finally fix her, make her only available for kill your friends. It feels like grief at times lmao, you wait in a queue for a match where if you aren't running meta perks and are trying to have fun you are basically stepped on.

I basically commit to deafening all spirits by using locker spam to annoy them, then head on them when they come to stop me atm.

  • I honestly think his rework was misguided, they reworked doctor to move him away from a passive toolkit (insanity inflicts on its own) then they give Freddy the exact same thing, minus the need of a terror radius or even needing to interact with said survivor, ontop of that there was issues like undetectable giving him a free pass to just tunnel without penalty.

Freddy needs more ways to interact with survivors, I think he should not be able to run and snare with zero drawback, and slowdown freddy was an awful idea too. His stats spoke for themself he was over performing (going off of the anniversary broadcast from 2020) I'm pretty sure.

I don't think nerfing him is the answer, but I don't think reverting it is either, he deserved a rework more befitting of the current state of the game.

  • @Terro said:

Wasn't hatch always like that? The only thing they changed was when only 1 survivor was alive. Hatch would always spawn instead of requiring a certain number of gens to be done.

yeah you are right, it was mainly the end game lmao I was under the imperession they made them require one more. My bad

  • @Terro said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1811521#Comment_1811521

Hatch rework was a neutral change. Did it effect keys at all?

it did in the sense of when the hatch spawns, so like mori where it can only be used when the survivor is on last hook, if all 4 survs are alive (where the key is strongest) all 5 gens must be done, so its p.much the same concept.

If a surv gets away with a key when other survs are dead, thats a shame but you still got some kills, suck it up and move on to the next game.

  • Hit detection with it being turned on is really messing with lower latency killers (which is another huge issue in itself, like why are people outside of server regions able to play as killer with stupidly high ping on public games).

A simple fix for me atm, would be to let me see the killers ping in the lobby again so I can dodge matches that are prone to this sort of laggy interactions. being hit through pallets and thrown hatchets from behind is just not fun at all.

it is also making it very hard for newer players to learn the game, my friends are afraid of using pallets atm

  • People really forget that the hatch got reworked and moris were untouched when end game collapse was introduced? Keys were technically nerfed back then, to the same state mori is currently in. only usable when the game is at its climax.

Also to note, if they add something like a channel to the hatch, what makes it any more enticing than using an exit gate (if its the same time to open)? If anything keys should get more uses like making chest opening faster if they decide to add an unlocking bar.

  • Didn't stop them including that Felix had a girlfriend in his biography, so I don't understand their reasoning tbh.

  • @Babyyy_Boyy said:

I see you play on Xbox, why not just dodge the mori? It’s kind of your fault for playing it knowing that 98% of killers with an ebony mori first hook mori. I definitely agree with you though, first hook moris should be removed but look on the bright side, the devs confirmed that they’re going to be reworking moris and keys soon.

That's far from optimal as you can't know for sure it's a mori. Tunneling in general is just extremely boring atm, the problem is more highlighted than ever with Decisive being bugged. It needs fixed in some way, killers like spirit being abused for it also. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I love this game, but when I try to introduce new friends to it, it gets tiresome explaining and reasoning about tunneling/camping again and again.

Using her ability hurts your emblem score. I used Plague as an M1 killer, never vomiting on anyone, to get her Adept Achievement.

This is what I done as well, it should be easier with the new buff as you can use the movement speed addons with corrupt so you can walk fast when you have red vomit to end chases more easily.

  • I want my points lol, it's nothing personal, you get more time to get some points yourself, it's not done in spite.

  • @HellDescent said:

@Rokku_Rorru It's not really about that, it's how those 2 perks are used. When people unhook in front of you as soon as you're able to move after a hook and then rescued survivor sitting in front of you without a care in the world rushing the gen while still injured because he knows he's invincible for 60 seconds. You don't have any pressure.

Oh I'm definately with you there, but it's heightened with communication also like can be stressful to deal with as killer. You are forced to leave people on the floor even if the survivors are the ones making the aggressive decisions which should be punished (like bodyblocking for the person who just saved them). But we get complained about if we camp or bring a mori, which is the counter for it at times, especially as trapper when you need to play around 3 gens which are close together controlling a zone.

  • Until they deal with SWF, I don't think dodging should be punished. People legit can make what would normally be a 4 perks v 4 perks situation, into dealing with fully communicated use of 16 perks. It can be stressful to deal with without tryharding with headphones and being ultra focused, it's not very nice lol.

  • @I_Face_Camp said:

No I disagree. I think it works well. Too slow would just be annoying

F, like I'm not on about slowing down words, there are times he just skips the naturual pause you'd have for a full stop or a comma, making it sound really awful.

  • I think Decisive is mainly annoying when it's paired with other perks which really boost it's effectiveness, like deliverance, unbreakable and adrennaline etc. but on multiple survivors making it feel like you are outnumbered, and stunnable for up to like 20 seconds (32 if you include head on and not even beginning to include pallets).

Sometimes it really does feel like you're 16 perks versus 4 as killer.

  • Playing on a 60ms connection and seeing how jankt he game is from EU finally, makes me realise how they implement their hitbox checks must be the issue, if fight games can work on unreal 4, then a game like this should have no issue.

  • No only because other players can do the silliest things, like farm in a killers face and it's just painful to understand. Ontop of that that doesn't mean I don't play solo, I was gonna change to yes and just say what I don't like but, rip.

In a a horror game, sexuality shouldnt matter or should only slightly be mentioned.

I believe all characters to be the sexuality of the player themself.

In a genre where sexuality has been one of the main tropes since the dawn of slasher movies etc. Where Nancy and Steve are two of such examples...

Sex sells, it always has and it always will.

I'm rank 10. There's no way your rank ######### is fixed if I get a rank 13, and then 3 purple rank survivors that are rank 5 and 6. That's nearing red ranks.

Get the ######### out of here with the ''It will match with someone closer to their rank."

It's never fixed lmao, I'm rank 3 atm and I keep getting 13's in my games. and what's worse it takes me like 20 mins to find a game. this is on console though.

It was working fine for me when I played, it is unhealthy how much I play dbd, not every trusted member even has a high post count your argument about me “brown nose these forums” is irrelevant. I couldn’t play today but until today I haven’t had any problems.

You are delusional, I've had to switch to pc because I legit cannot get games since the stranger things update at purple/red ranks, and as killer it takes even longer and lobbies can get stuck on 3 people and never fill up then time out.

There are issues, and It's consistent between all my friends. I just want the game to work as it's fun to play. It sounds like you don't play console at all, and just came here to be a problem.

  • @Ringy01 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/727734#Comment_727734

Of course, so I normally play pretty bold. I run around a lot and stuff but when I get a spirit I get to play a different style that I personally don't normally play. She can also be scary af which I love in a killer. Looping her isn't easy I agree to that but it's honestly the challenge that makes it fun for me.

Fair points, I don't find her scary at all, I wish I could get that from her as I love horror as a genre in general. I guess I just was hopeing she'd have more to her. Maybe I need to play her more and see what I can learn works that survivors do against me and notice if people truly play differently.

  • @GrootDude said:

    Working fine for me

It's not though, and the reason you are "trusted" is becuase you probably brown nose on these forums.

Frame rate is awful, trophies are bugged for months (medic), queues take 20 or so minutes at times and that's not including the fact people can't even get into lobbies. The devs silence on so many issues in a forum DEDICATED to ps4 is appauling, they just need to COMMUNICATE, that's all it takes, let us know if it's going to take a while and if thats the case then so be it, just tell us you know.

  • Speaking from the UK here, the pings such a godsend with the dedicated servers, it's made the game so much more enjoyable, constant 50 ping, keep them ON. so many more laggy bugs caused by killers bad connection from p2p , this is much better, bugs aside, just fix the bugs slowly, it's less buggy than p2p.

  • @Tensor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/727778#Comment_727778

PS4 is almost unplayable. You have to push through the lag, crashes, DCing (not on purpose), the lobby dropping.

Then we come to the trophy issue!

But hey, check out the new cosmetic

Yup, it's really upsetting as I just want to enjoy the game, I would love an official response on such a simple problem, even just to know they are aware of the issue.

  • @Ringy01 said:

I love playing against her honestly. If the game was ez mode then it would get boring.

What do you enjoy about playing against her? I'm genuinley curious.

  • I don't really enjoy playing against her or as her, it's less of I want her nerfed and more I just want her to be more interesting and fitting to her inspiration of Japanese horror movies etc, currently her power is really uninspired and boring lol... I was hopeing for some creepier.

  • Bringing a key is the same as bringing a mori as they make the game quick, so mori should be removed too? :)

  • @Raven014 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/715831#Comment_715831

I honestly don't care how hard it is to change it on console, I'd just like the 4k as the requirement, since that's way more consistent.

I mean medic is still bugged and they have ignored us in the bug report section forever

  • @snowflake102 said:

I think this is a bad policy when it comes to balancing.

There are perks in the game that have been there for a long time and have never been good (Monstrous Shrine, Slippy Meat which was buffed and is still awful). Instead of making new perks that immediately go on the pile of weak perks you should aim to make perks usable when they come out, not at some unspecified time in the future.

Balance changes have always been slow and I see no reason to believe that the pace is going to increase signifcantly in the future. The more bad perks there are, the less likely it becomes that a certain perk gets buffed because there is only so much time for changes between releases.

I find it highly unlikely that Fixation would break the game's balance if it worked when injured. Survivors still bleed while injured, unless they have No Mither, and still make sounds while injured, unless they run Iron Will. If survivors use multiple perks to support Fixation then they should get a strong synergy. If Fixation somehow became a meta perk it would be very easy to counter with something like Bloodhound, or alternatively even just following the blood normally.

As it is right now I don't think it will see play. Which might cause it to get a buff, but then the development time that is spent on buffing Fixation is not spent on an older perk that has been awful for far longer and needs changes too.

It does feel like they just refuse to learn from the past, hard to think its been 3 and a bit years, and stuff on console is more broken than ever, on an engine which has been refined and plenty of resources to help someone fix the problems they are having, I wonder if alot of the team barely has any passion for horror and is just there for money.

there is no excuse with how much funding they must get for the game to be this unpolished and broken

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/716739#Comment_716739

Don't get me wrong, I do absolutely see where you're coming from. Fixing a global issue with a perk isn't ideal. Though I think there's a fine distinction here: People hitting skill checks is not making the game worse. Killer's aren't leaving the game in droves because survivors are hitting good (or great) skill checks.

Its far from ideal and is unhealthy for the game, just like how you should change how you partake in struggle on the hook, console users have to keep smashing the button and it just hurts your hand eventually, and isnt the most welcoming to people who have problems with wrist and hand

furthermore, the more you do perk fixes, you better increase the perks we can equip, we can only “fix” 4 jank things at once if we are gonna go this archaic route to solving problems on dbd

  • These events bring out everything which is wrong with this game. :)

  • @CookieBaws said:

Just reduce tokens to activate to 2. pretty much it.

And make the protection events actually register instead of it be spotty, but that is just the whole game right now, all of it is jank.

I like facing Nurse,Billy and spirit. I find Demo quite easy to face, his shred destroying pallets isn’t that strong.

Yeah I don't mind them destroying pallets, I hate pallet looping tbh I want it to go, the new map is my favourite atm, I just hope they don't nescessarily get nerfed to death at all, infact I just want the killers to have fun with them and the survivors to have fun against them.

  • @DocOctober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/708755#Comment_708755

They do have a build up: a long and tedious road to mastering them before you get rewarded with this instant gratification.

That's nothing to do with the gameflow/gameplay though, just killing people instantly is bad design, as is gen rushing, these killers allow people to end games super quickly and ruin everyones experience.

As someone with adept for them and countless hours, they are the most boring killers by miles to play as and against. Demogorgon and new freddy are well designed by miles, and I can't wait for Demo to get buffed even from a survivor perspective, I enjoy playing against them.

When I play against the top 3 I just roll my eyes as someone gets downed in the first 10 seconds every match, matches end too quickly and the only way anyone survives is if the killer is awful.

  • @TAG said:

I'd rather the Key have some amount of counterplay to it, personally. Currently, if the Killer has closed the Hatch, and you have the Key and are not downed, you already are in a very good position to escape, which is not insignificant. Given how a Survivor is already not meant to be favored at that point in the game, I don't really see the necessity in further tipping the scales toward someone with a Key (even if it is not by a lot).

Just like how every spirit main etc tells us to run perks to SPECIFICALLY counter them, I guess the double standards could apply to just run franklins? :)
