  • I'd even be for these as purchaseable cosmetics.

    Good day devs,

Pretty gud job so far. I admit i'm a super smurf, i was rank 4 dc all the way down to rank 16( couldn't go lower) so i can abuse newbies, but i was wrong. Not only I can't lead new people to victory, i can't even survive my self.

You wonder why people refunds this game within 2 hours and death garden is a waste of money, well, there is your answer.

    Thank you.

I find spirit, Nurse and Hill Billy to be absoloute BS at any rank, any other killer gets my respect but I just can't stand playing these 3, they aren't fun, I just want to enjoy the match, but they are so oppressive and punishing to play against. There is no build up to their gameplay just instant gratification.

  • I think all 3 need more to them instead of being strong at the beginning, mid and end of the game. They need some kind of build up for the strength they have, the fact they can spam their powers when other killers need charges or the likes to even use theirs is just rediculous in comparison. They are boring to play against, they have no depth at all.

In short they are basically one of the few killers who all have instant gratification from their power, they have no need to build up to earn it.

  • The intended purpose is to feed you information for anyone who is/was co-operating with the survivor you stabbed, Legion is a memory game I find and it's the whole reason I main them, using it to "just stab" isn't going to be effective by any means, but guessing everyones next move when paired with the right perks holds a lot of potential.

That said I'm not saying he doesn't need a buff, I just don't think you need to tunnel people cross map with the power, it's supposed to punish those who work together slowing the game down for you to make a a plan with the info you have gathered so far.

i just want traps to actually be stressful and not just a minor annoyance. it would fit SAW a lot more if survivors actually feared the traps.

Make them spawn with the traps on their head with the timer already activated I guess?

What second objective does Michael add...?

Keeping an eye out for his evil within, he feels like an actual stalker. Your game plan changes based on his current state.

I don't really like the idea of not allowing killers to play the game because they don't have the best connection. And if it's 9 out of 10 lobbies, maybe it's your connection? About 1 out of 10 of my lobbies are red ping. I don't really see laggy killers that often.

It’s not my connection as when I’m killer survivors always have below 100 ping, if you cant support 4 players connections why should you be able to host? It’s definately not mine, i can even post pings if I have to, and i know i am not alone on this.

  • Surprised with all the people who complain about connections that this isnt a popular ideas lol

The only wrong addon of Billy is carburetor because it does too much for a green addon, and instasaw but fixed carburetor so should go instasaw.

The top 3 killers are really good addonless, that's why with adding they seems (and are) very powerful.

So what would you suggest, fix the addons, or the base killers?

  • Just to add, this should be given to killers too obviously, it would probably fix a lot of the issues we are having with P2P and tide us over until the dedicated when they are finally ready.

  • @YaiPa said:

If Billy's engravings increase speed while also increasing charge time, why Nurse should be different? That's the stupidity of these add-ons, same charge time, double distance.

That's because Billy is an issue too I find, the top 3 killers are all suffering from powerful addon nonsense. Either that or Bubba needs buffed, the fact the killer the game is based around is not so great compared to his fake knock off is kind of a joke lol

  • tbh the console ui in general could use some massive QoL changes, make it actually work with a controller not some horrible laggy cursor.

  • Bring a key, even the odds I guess.

  • People act like make your choice isn't already a counter to Borrowed Time...

    @csandman1977 and @Rokku_Rorru

let me quote sandman right quick so we're on the same page..

"Theres a difference between leaving someone to die on hook because you can't be bothered to rescue them and not being able to because killer is face camping. Yes a well coordinated team will have no problems whatsoever in rescuing even against a facecamper, but for solo players more than likely they wont be able to deal with a face camper."

---> sounds to me like a perfect opportunity for newer players to attempt to learn a new skill and begin their journey towards being a better player.. handing them a tool to make it more comfortable for them to remain lousy players just doesn't sound like a good idea at all..

why should the other players get extra opportunity to "survive", "escape", or anything else when they're not skilled enough to make that happen?

when i'm new at anything, i have to learn how to do whatever it is. if i don't attempt to learn how to do it, or even just portions of it, i'm only hurting myself and everyone around me. see how that works? it's not the people around you hurting you, its you hurting them..

I agree that new players need a way to learn, but maybe it's an issue with hooks as they are fundementally, if there was a way to make them easy to get to, to hook survivors but more difficult to camp (maze like surroundings to make it easier to get an unhook), it's just there is a problem here and survivors should be faced with a leave them and have a better chance at living or take a risk and save them.

Camping isn't the biggest of issues unless it's done 10 seconds into the game, because the killer got an insta down/spirit or nurse just gets super lucky and it happens so often which is frustrating.

IDK the game is a mess recently connections wise, and gameplay wise, I am not the biggest fan of end game collapse as killer, I also hate that I'm punished for camping even though it feels like you need to sometimes, as survivor I hate gen rushing... I'm beginning to feel like maybe I'm just going off the game, the more I play the more I see flaws, which is naturual, I just wish the devs would take more time to fix the health of the game instead of always going "we're gonna do it"

  • Exposed or hill billy just existing.

they do give that guy that died quickly on the hook more points.. they're just waiting to be claimed by loading into the next game..

think about it, 892 max struggle points, takes a minute to claim.. if you use that minute to load into a new game there'll probably be a totem worth 1000 right next to you when you spawn..

and that just ruins the other survivors chances of surviving by letting yourself die as the next one will get camped, people who are being forced to serve as a distraction or taken hostage should be given something for their time.

  • @IMhereRUN said:

    What he said ^^^

There’s already a severe punishment for camping, 1 dies and 3 escape free. Camping results in an auto-loss.

Besides, there’s plenty of ways to counter camping. Just have your whole team run BT and DS, If thr killer chooses to camp, all 4 can still get out if you take turns on hook.

I agree and disagree with the statement you replied to because, yes its true that gens are a counter, but the poor person who sat there waiting possibly ages getting into the game gets no points and has their gameplay experience ruined, it's not fun at all for the person being camped nor is it rewarding for them at all.

maybe giving the hooked person points for being a distraction as they are camped could help alleviate it without adding more punishments for the person on the hook, but not tons of points.

Yeah the aim assist on console is slow to say the least and disorienting. And when I mean the sensitivity issue I mean , while you are in the blinking animation u can barely turn it sucks :(

Oh right, yeah it's wierd lol, hopefully if they do reowrk the current one because of how strong she is on PC, maybe they also fix the console issues so she actually ends upo better on console too.

  • I personally hate how the auto aim conflicts with manual aiming when it comes to her. it was such a pain while trying to get adept nurse. Otherwise I havn't had the sensitivity issue, I thought it was just the auto aim pushing against your controls

  • Gen rushing, decisive stirke, borrowed time, mettle of man(hard to do though atm), instant heals, deliverance, Adrennaline, head on, exhaustion perks in general, pallets.

  • I personally think Sky daddy (Entity), who doesn't love long legs.

  • I love the game, and I think if this pack launches alongside dedicated servers it will pull in a lot of new fans. ^^

If gens couldn't be touched for a split second to stop regressing the kicking thing might be fine. It probably won't have an effect on gens a survivor is working on so what's the point?

Blocking the windows and stuff sounds good, but the trigger is in the survivor's hands. The killer can't control that so the gens could get popped at a time when it's completely useless, or survivors go into stealth mode once a gen is triggered to wait out the timer once they know what perk you're using.

Perks that are determined by survivors or their behavior are naturally worse than perks that are based on the killer's skill.

The point is that if a gen didn't blow up when you downed someone, the survivors are now revealed and you now know what gens being worked on perhaps!

  • @indieeden7 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/642660#Comment_642660

The gen perk regresses multiple gens within a certain area (not just 1) automatically, you also do not need to kick the gen, just hit a survivor.

Hopefully its something which is really effective early game.

  • I think everyone should start with the traps on their head, make it really feel like a saw game hehe

  • @ElusivePukka said:

You're wrong to see it as a slur, and definitely wrong to associate race. Slurs require three things, and of those the thing Blendette is missing is any hierarchical placement.

While it is typically used disparagingly, it's also just an accurate label of playstyle, like Locker Dwights or Toxic Neas. From a lore perspective, it's not great, but from a community perspective it's just reality.

Last: survivors are literally just skins. There's no intrinsic mechanical value to them in the game other than their heights and colour palettes. It's nifty to play for lore, but you have to recognize that as an uncommon behaviour.

Fair it just seems so crazy, I guess people mean no ill intent by it so I shouldn't really percieve it as it then, I guess it is just a matter of perspective then. I just feel its crazy people just play stuff they don't like and try and focus on a meta they don't even understand, or at least feels like it.

    @Johnny_XMan said:

I’m sorry but saying that the “devs encourage this kind of gameplay “ because someone chooses to play with a character with darker skin is the biggest joke I’ve ever heard.

Not every P3 Claudette plays in the way you describe and if they do so what? It’s not game breaking... other characters blend as well it’s not just Claudette.

No need to be sorry, I guess it's bad wording to say that, what I was meaning was they seem to leave it as an issue mostly instead of fixing it, like I remember recently they "brightened" skins, which worked but it didn't really effect the prestige one, and as said reds are very un noticeable in shadow, and her hair compared to say it in other skins doesn't really catch the light. As for other characters I've never really had any other character compete with how well she can blend in because they actually interact with the lighting.

Maybe its the red shirt with the blood, thus making poor contrast in darkness.

  • The game becomes very laggy slowly on console after a few hours of play, it gets really bad.

  • I just came to respond to these, as I like them.

1: I want it back xD

2: She is a cool character, some skills are atrocious to me though haha

3: I have faced some awfully scary Leatherfaces in higher ranks on console, it's always a surprise when they don't camp but use hook placement strategically for their sacrifices, more like make it easy to patrol and keep an eye on the survivor, its interesting.

4: this I don't agree with because, I think they have a lot they could do, but balance isn't needed for a game to be fun tbh, or it just gets boring and fun gets limited

  • @justarandy said:

They already nerfed the popular Blendette cosmetics, they are brighter now. But still, these cosmetics need colour highlights imo, Blendette is still powerful.

Highlights are the solution, to the hair and the blood, she doesn't really interact with the light much, it's really odd, maybe its an engine limitation to the colour palette... I'm not sure tbh

  • @ElusivePukka said:

People picking someone with an innate advantage because of the colour palettes afforded her isn't racist. Further, these people certainly aren't 'mocking her', they're just playing because her prestige and certain cosmetics give an illusion of higher survival rate overall by giving more moments of "I should have been seen" without any need for increased skill. It's partly why I dress as Meg with white cosmetics: I'm easier to see, so it encourages me to play better - I still get overlooked by blind killers sometimes.

I do feel they are mocking her by playing her for a visual advantage, to the point she has become the meme "Blendette" lol, it's p.much a slur I'd say and is commonly used by community including streamers, am I wrong to see it from such a perspective?

  • @GrootDude said:

I play Blendette every now and then but I like playing with my cosmetics, also you can’t fix Blendette without brightening every dark cosmetic and that’d just be stupid.

I think the issue is warmer darks tend to be a lot less noticeable, so the blood really doesn't help the eye "glazing" over it, paired with the lack of highlight in the hair, really is the core issue of the skin, the base skins clothing was lightened, but you'll notice when most claudettes hide, they turn their back, as the hair doesn't catch light at all and I find its the part which enables it the most right now.

So it's less of changing the "dark cosmetic" and maybe more just changing how its rendered, much like they did with everyones hair, did they even touch hers?

Edit: Red wavelengths in light don't travel as far as blue, it's why blue works so well in shadows, now I'm not saying to like change the blood to blue, I'm just trying to put some physics to my reasoning.

  • @Nutty_Professor said:

I play as Claudette as she was my first main and the first character I levelled up due to self care. Whilst I do sometimes play as a P3 Claudette most of the time my Claudette wears bright coloured clothing.

I love it, she was my first character too and I do like a lot of the costumes she has in her wardrobe, I guess my issue is mainly the vanilla and prestige ones. Also yay fellow ps4 player

  • @Nick said:

So the game shouldnt have black girls? They cant simply make them all white

That's not what was said, it's particularly how they handle her versus the others of colour in the game (how they render her base hair etc), her more recent skins are handled great, it's mostly her old ones.

    @Mushwin said:

    I just lol'd at this....troll fodder.

    @Alfred said:

Best part is when you run Nvidia filters and all the Claudettes pretend they are invisible...

This is true, but console doesn't have this and such is where it suffers the most I feel (I play both console and pc as have friends on both)

A lot of people make great input, thanks for sharing opinions.

  • I'd say it's not him who is OP but when he has addons he is a bit unbareable but that can be said for any killer, I think it's more of an addon issue much like the power creep with survivors and items.

I think it's rediculous billy can rev a chainsaw in your face and insta down you with addons there isn't counterplay to that sadly, at least not that I know of.

So my take is he shouldn't be nerfed but maybe some of the best addons he has and the perks need readjusted so he has more options, and maybe so that he is less reliant on addons?

  • Why dont we just have the killer be teleported away by the entity if they stay too close by, or slowed in movement speed.

  • I got Nurses, I just need hag and doctor left, so easy days! thank you everyone :)

  • @PickCollins said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/625672#Comment_625672

Okay. Again if you watch a Survivior jump in a locker and you suspect they have decisive strike that's not them playing bad when you grab them. That's them knowing they can escape this situation using Decisive and that forcing you to grab them is the only surefire way out. The bad play is on YOU for not respecting the decisive.

It's like I say: if you suspect but don't respect then sympathy you should not expect.

Honestly no, I think Decisive should last as long as you are in the killers terror radius, and I'll stand by that, that way it is an anti tunnel perk much like borrowed time, but having BOTH seems overkill for such an idea, maybe add a mechanic like exhausted to stop them both being stacked, it's like having Sprint burst and balanced landing but they both work seperatley... seems silly.

  • Nurse seems to be a massive pain for this does anyone have any suggestions? I can get 4 kills but, I'm always lacking in chase and if I chase too much I'll lose my gens due to lack of my presence. I havn't tried her with rare addons yet, perhaps its because I'm getting SWF most of the time, I wish there was a way to tell so I could just have a fighting chance with base 3 perks (or I'm just bad lol)

@Raven014 Thanks so much for the guide, it's really helpful

  • @SQUIRREL_302 said:

I just started my adept killers and while the actual achievements would be easy at lower ranks, the dc on first down 4/5 games is ridiculous (PS4)

I managed to get the 3 base killers adepts, working on Nurse atm as well as Doctor and Hag... I just hate getting high ranks queueing with low ranks, its a pain.

@TheBean @Raven014 Thanks, I'm already low rank atm it seems to be working for me, I was mostly worried about gatekeeper, but it seems I don't need iridescent for that so long as I do well in the others. Thanks

  • Maybe add some cool visual tells based on the stage of failure/success against the entity they are in, I think this kind of struggling could perhaps void current anti tunnel perks, and make moris more valuable?

maybe the killer can have some sort of interaction with it to decrease the timer but waste their own precious time (Smack them to decrease the timer by 0.5 seconds) IDK, but that'd probably encourage tunnelling...

  • I do feel this game is very bad at introducing new players, it has a steep learning curve especially with how ranks work, since they reset every month you could be against a really good killer or anything, not to mention how perks can make it hard for people too.

There needs to be something in place for new players like more bloodpoints buff or something for a limited time. Maybe better tutorials to include newer mechanics that reward bloodpoints (explaining killer powers which it does a bad job of doing)

  • I like the effort you put into this, sometimes I think toolboxes should work like a weaker brand new part and then be expended to give them more an immediate use to them and more interaction, nerf them and to stop gen rushing/synergy with Prove thyself etc.

  • I'd love this as I could play on all platforms where my friends are at, please let us do this!

Their "bad play" is an attempt to bait you Into getting stunned. That's not bad play, that's using your resource to your own advantage. It's not uncommon to use lockers when you have DS, it forces the killer to gamble on the stun hitting them. It's quite entitled of killer mains to assume any attempt at using perks that help Surviviors to...oh idk, survive, is such a toxic thing.

It is bad play it's 60 seconds of oh I can body block the killer, get in their way and be super toxic for no reason and completley against the design of the game, like the Nurse at high level play 2 things I hate.

  • I like the new hair tbh, it looks really nice especially the brown.

  • My fellow survivors need to stop crying about this, it's easy to deal with and you should always assume the worst, rid of the perks and stop spending so much time:

    A. Being toxic and t-bagging the killer

    B. Hiding and doing no gens

    C.Gen Rushing only

All of the above are people tunnelling one mindset and not doing well on pips aside from healing themselves and escaping so like 2 categories. If you aren't playing the whole game, you deserve to get rekt by NOED, it's annoying seeing someone not respect killers.

  • It really is an issue, and honestly the "Gatekeeper" pip is so obnoxious considering you need to somehow keep an eye on gens while doing the adept killer achievements where you can't stop in some scenarios 4 gens having purple toolboxes with brand new parts (extreme scenario) without ruin unless you are hag. It's obnoxious, it really makes me realise trying to do these trophies against players who know what they are doing how underpowered certain killer perks are, and just how quick gens can be done.

Some killers do introduce a second mechanic, freddy was a step in the right direction slowing the game down, and I think the pig should be reworked so there are beartraps on everyones head at the start of the game... it's frikking saw for goodness sake! Make us feel like we are in one of the films by us all starting with the traps on.

Edit: Same goes for Plague make us start infected, these mechanics need to be something we have to deal with that shakes the game up, not that certain survivors can completly avoid and gen rush the killer obnoxiously.

  • I really love OP's suggestion, it makes it more engaging and could reward points for being on the hook... also makes so many perks more useful in this sort of situation.

1 … 72 73 74 75
