More bps for facing swfs is a terrible idea.
Good killers already get more bps when playing against swf because they tend to be more altruistic, trigger more chases, etc. When i play against swf i always get more bps EVEN if i get less kills.
Giving more bps for facing swf would make more people to play as a killer, meaning that killers would have longer queues (especially during extra bps events).
Like the "good killer", the lvl 18 leatherface you, and your homies stomped the hell out of?
How many blood points did he get?
I know you didn't do that intentionally, but there's a lot of survivors that want to.

Skill and perks shouldn't factor in since not everyone has high levels of skill, nor the arsenal of perks needed.
Also rank doesn't factor in what perks someone has which may tip the scales.

Extra bloodpoints for the abnormal spike in difficulty SWF provides really should happen.

  • Nah, we shouldn't have to put up with SWF so frequently.
Especially the sweaty tryhards, smurfs, and people looking to abuse the matchmaking.

Doesn't help matters that SWFs get easier games by default thanks to communication and coordination .

If there was separate queue option for facing SWF, it would result in longer wait times because no one would want to go against them since the majority of killer-mains think SWF is unfair or because they don’t like a challenge.

As per the BP thing, that’s kinda unfair too.

It really isn’t that big of a deal, I’ve stomped SWF plenty of times. It’s not that powerful as Killers make it out to be. So dramatic.

    Yes and no.
Yes, I've stomped SWF groups without problems. Even made some last second switchers rage quit.

No, not everytime. Sometimes they stomped me. It depends on the killer. Trapper vs SWF sucks. Someone will disarm all your traps.

A BP bonus won't be an incentive to go against SWF.

If the devs would introduce voice chat, than SWF wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Introducing voice chat, in and of itself would make the problem worse by leaps and bounds.
Voice chat is what's actually game breaking with SWFs, not that we could stop third parties.
If they were as uninformed as the average survivors, they'd ve closer to fine.

Before I get on board with any notion of making Solos as powerful as SWFs, i really want to hear some actual ideas on how to make Killers stronger to compensate.

I'd be less bothered going against an SWF if I knew the ######### couldn't hurt my blood points too much, and I was being paid for the difficulty spike.

  • Swfs really aren't a big issue at all at all after all the killer buffs. You just need to find the right perks and know the mind games. It doesn't matter how good a survivor can be, they're still a human being just like you and they can be outplayed.

Really not fun GETTING all the right perks in the first place with SWF constantly getting in the way, though.
    Then there's RNG.

Then there's the sweaty ######### tryhards.
You know, the team that shares critical info freely.
One sees a totem, and now all of them know, or they constantly tell eachother locations, do a congaline running to the gate so they can take hits for eachother, and so forth.
You know, stuff only people basically breaking the game would do.
Stuff that even trumps people like Hybrid Panda.

And some like to get extra toxic.

  • They guy was on his last hook so why would a killer camp a first hook when they have a confirmed kill also I am fussing it was a team since no one made a attempt for me
No kill is ever confirmed until the sacrifice happens.
Anything that could go wrong with hooking that guy probably will.

Ir would probably be a bit strong then.

Every strong perk needs a downside it seems...except Decisive strike. That one gets a free pass.

For bloodwarden I'd just be happy with a timer an for perks to be hidden until after the game since swf makes it worthless.
Why can't killers have strong perks :(
Because killers don't pay the bills.
    No killers, no games.
Killers are a smaller group of people to tick off, so it's easier to lose them.

Playing both, I've probably spent enough to regret it all if they destroyed the killer experience.

Devour hope is a lovely perk if the totem doesn't get found and destroyed wihin your first 3 hooks. The fact is it takes too long to become useful and with hex's not being so hidden I think it needs a slight buff

Its not a problem with devour hope, its a problem with hex perks in general.

unfortunately the devs refused to fix the actual hex mechanic and gave us haunted grounds instead which is no help at all

It sorta helped me, Haunted Grounds.
    The russian roulette build.
It makes it somewhat more dangerous to go after my devour hope, ruin, toth, and huntress lullaby.
Makes hex builds a bit more interesting.

Still, doesn't mean I want totems to stay how they are, though. They could be harder to find, or break.
  • Heres some resolution ideas for you guys (feel free to add your own):

    Survivors:

    • I'll stop dc'ing when the match takes 2 seconds too long to load
    • I'll stop rage quitting and screwing over the rest of the team just because i'm an immature twit
    • I'll start prioritizing saving hooked survivors instead of focusing on my gen which i'm already 30% through!
    • I'll stop running toward the hooked survivor when being chased so that other survivors can make the save
    • I'll be braver and take a hit for an injured survivor rather than let them get downed because its better for the team
    • If I see someone almost done breaking an activated totem (or other important action) when the killer is coming i'll distract the killer instead of just hiding
    • I'll grow a pair and not be afraid to take a hit in order to rescue a survivor.
    • I'll crouch when playing the hag
    • I'll crouch when playing the hag
    • I'll crouch when playing the hag
    • I'll recognize that working a generator, saving someone or healing someone should take priority over searching a chest or breaking a dull totem.
    • i'll try to ALWAYS BE DOING SOMETHING ('something' doesn't include hiding)

    Killers:

    • I will not play 1 v 3 games as real games and instead acknowledge that the 3 REAL PEOPLE out there just got screwed by the dc so will try to make it fun for everyone.
    • I will stop overdoing the camping and tunnelling and admit that it's just the cheapest, easiest way to win even if it effectively ruins the game dynamic so that survivors will eventually stop playing
    • I'll stop being a hatch fairy and slugging the 3rd survivor to deny the hatch because the smart survivor response will be to just wait it out and drag the game out way too long... just because i'm afraid of the hatch and GOTTA HAVE MY 4K!!!
    • I'll stop dc'ing when things don't go my way
    • I'll give the last survivor the hatch more often (especially when the hatch is RIGHT THERE)
    • I'll make an effort to realize i'm playing against 4 real people and can help make the game fun instead of obsessing over 4ks
    • I'll realize that being a jerk in the way I approach the game doesn't make me 'more like a killer'. it just makes me a jerk playing the killer. Ignoring sportsmanship doesn't make me cool.

I don't need to hear killer responses defending their right to do all the things I listed. I refer you to the 1st and last points. Yes, you have every right, but you can also help make it a lot more fun out there instead of getting a few more bloodpoints.

If all these things came true, man it would be a Happy New Year!

Here's one, or two that will probably never stick to add to survivors, and killers.

I will not use chat to relay the location of anyone, or anything to anyone.

I will not use chat to tell who is using what.
  • Killers hate DS because it destroys the pressure they have on Survivors.

Frankly I don't really care about it one qay or the other.
  • Zombie killer knife: (probably op)

It practically glows hunter orange, or toxic green (like the halloween, or frosted eyes glow on killer eyes, or the halloween ooze), and has seemingly impractical blade design.

The mend bar does not stop while mending. Hitting 0 downs the survivor regardless is they're mending or not.

"Hey, check out what I got for $20 at the fleamarket!"
  • The only buff I'd give it is that when the killer walks by the exit and the entity appears, it would block survivors too. So that way, if someone wants to teabag that exit gate, I can just whap 'em down and they can't escape.

That's probably the greatest thing I've heard.
I dare say this needs to be baseline, and happen as soon as the killer enters the gate room.
  • Guess I'm digging this out.

    Why so much tunneling?

    Why not?

Well that's not really fair on the guy you eliminate.

Because it's fair to make a killer spend more time chasing people?

Time management is primary for a killer.

The more time they spend doing something is more time survivors have to do something. Like gens.

It's fine to tunnel when there's 1 gen left but if your tunnelling when there's 5-3 gens left ur a dirty killer.

    That's hilarious.
Just means less people eliminated so you can get that 1 gen left sooner.
Pretty sure you want gens done as quickly as possible, too.
Pretty damn sure you don't hang around and let killers get the hooks they would have otherwise gotten through trying to eliminate people sooner.

And regardless of what ever code of honor you do, or don't stick to, it's about certain it's just you. Many others on both sides would gladly not follow it.

In any event you're asking the killer to play suboptimal and have their blood points suffer as a result. That just isn't really fair.

What? There are so many killers who do well without tunnelling when there's 5-3 gens left. If there's 1-2 gens left then tunnel all you want. I really hope I don't face you, tunnellers leave a very salty taste in my mouth when there's no reason to.

I really hope i don't face you, either.
There's no sense in holding every killer to the standards of streamers, and hold people to some rulebook that only benefits the person holding that rulebook.

I don't usually intend to tunnel, truth be told. I don't mind trying to be nice.
I definitely want to eliminate people, but it's usually the first person I find. I can't really be arsed to waste time in looking for someone when I can find someone else faster.
I will return to the hook when there is an unhooking since there is 2 people there, and I sure as hell don't know where anyone else is, usually.

Of course my rekindled hatred of SWF (who usually don't give a ######### about what's fun, or fair outside of their own rule book) means I do whatever since they usually abuse communication to overly coordinate, and not give a ######### about my fun.

There is always a reason to tunnel. 3 people alive slows the game down, and helps the killer out immensely.

I'm still trying to figure out how your rulebook is fair to killers, or how it remotely benefits them.
I mean does it really matter after the trial if they followed your rules? Do you remember them at all?
Do they somehow magically get blood points that playing nice lost them?

  • Stay at the edge of the terror radius, and use exhaustion perks to put huge distances between the two of you. Make legion work for those chases.

    Hide. Play stealth.
    Loop.
Legion is hideously slow without those powers.

Bloodlust isblost when they break a pallet, when they are stunned by a pallet, or they hit someone.

In the end though, all you can do against Legion Is all you can do against any killer chasing you. Lose them and/or waste their time.

Because hitting someone else burns a lot of time.
Wasting time is a huge problem for killers.

Getting someone out of the trial, especially early is a massive help for the killer unless vital loadout info gets sniped.

The person injured would have to heal up though, and the other survivor should be downed fairly easily, at least under normal circumstances. I can't find time being a justification for tunneling, unless there is only 1 gen left.

No, they absolutely do not have to heal up.
Especially with the mindset in vsing legion.
Them healing up requires self care, finding/using a med kit, or finding someone. If none is viable, they can just do gens while you're wasting time on the other guy.

Under normal circumstances these days there are professional runners, and there is almost always atleast 1.
They either juke you, or loop you into oblivion, take you on a tour of Pallet town, if not some combination of that.
If they do the rescue and the other was easier to catch, then it makes zero sense to go after the fresh one.

Under surprisingly normal circumstances the rescuer hides better than the unhooked, so a killer would have to be stupid to overlook the first person they find.

If you can't think of a way to justify it, you haven't played enough killer, put zero thought in it, or deluded into thinking the killer must play to some code of honor that they generally do not get in return.
  • Because hitting someone else burns a lot of time.

  • It lets you kill the last survivor. Period.
Not when the gens are done, not when the gate is open, or the hatch is open, i mean any time there is one person left.

Still, folding it into Rancor, or base kit would probably be more useful.

Or use it to make survivors paranoid, and disconnect.
  • Thank god it's Christmas by Queen
The Ironman parody I am Santa clause

  • I still play both sides fairly evenly, but I know what you mean.

SWFs are becoming more common, and less and less fun to vs.
They often don't want to play, they just want to win, and they're usually smurfing one way or another.
  • Swf is fine. I understand why it exists.

However the game isn't balanced for the sweaty tryhards, often toxic people that abuse it.

All i get are swfs now, and all of a sudden, I want more purple moris.
This has certainly rekindled my hatred of the people abusing SWF.
It's all too easy on console.

  • Agreed.
    It's getting worse and worse.

SWF isn't the problem, it's the sweaty tryhard smurfing bastards abusing it, though.

Yes in a team based game let's make perks that make "you can screw your teammate over"

The survivors aren't really supposed to be a "team."
The original idea was to have an antisocial experience as a survivor. That's why we still don't have in game voice chat even through we have SWF.
4 strangers tossed together with a common goal, but how they achieve it is up to them.
  • I like a lot of films, but here's one you've probably never seen, or even heard of that i liked.
    Necronomicon: Book of the dead

  • I don't main either side.

I'm not bothered by any particular perks, addons, etc.
Hatch doesn't bother me, moris don't bother me.

What would make me happy, as a survivor or killer, is simply a decently long match. Maybe 15 minutes minimum with multiple chases, multiple hooks, and a decent chance at escape or sacrifice. A fair shake for either side.

Hell, i feel bad for the killers when my solo booty runs across competent survivors and we all eacape. I don't usually know what's going on out there because I gen jockey, and stealth.

As a killer, I loathe quick matches, especially against coordinated groups running circles around me because they share information between them.
  • I want every killer to be strong enough to fill survivors with just enough dread, and paranoia that they run screaming from the trial, or risk it all to help the last person.

They should only feel safe in the lobby.

Not saying 4k all the time, mind you, but I'd say eat up the slack survivors get.
  • Not even remotely. The bulk of the killers are not balanced around SWFs which are becoming more and more common.

Are we looking to get to the point you have to play like a streamer to have any hope to be competitive against SWFs?

Coz ignoring killers basically amounts to buffing killers to compete against SWF and then ignoring solos.

  • I could live with this. Up until someone criticizes my choice in character anyhow. Should be less likely to happen than if they had straight up bonuses, but possible.

And there's the jen jockey ninjas who may never be seen the entire trial.
  • I generally gravitate towards eye candy.
  • It probably wouldn't be so bad if most killers didn't go ham on these matches, and chilled a bit.

I usually just play at making it dangerous, but not really.
I chase. Might hit. May even go as far as to hook, but I might potato it up, or give it away when I won't sacrifice someone towards the end. Usually there's that someone that gets found a little too easily making me tip my hand a bit earlier.

In other words, i want to let them go, and make it interesting at the same time.
  • Dead by daylight needs bots for online, and offline play either to fill in gaps or be all of the opposition, and there is no blood point penalties for using them.
  • Only if survivors can only hit eachother with them.
Dbd killers aren't equipped to handle being stunned that often.
Hell, Jason isn't really equipped for it.
