Not a good idea. Would only result in more lobby dodging.
Med Kit-->That person either uses Adrenaline or it is an Insta Heal-->Dodge
New Item-->This person has DS-->DodgeThere do not need more reasons for Killers to dodge lobbies.
Not rly you can just add Franklin's Demise and you can end everything in one moment and because you will know what may brink in the game you will know how to play around it
yeah we can't have a counter to ds, that would be insane
I know it'd break the game

I'd like this @Boss , but it'd not fix all of the endgame problems. But definitely helps.

A minor inconvenience to Survivors. They'd still get an alert as to where it is once the last gen pops.
A minor convenience / inconvenience depending on how you look at it as a Killer. They won't know where the exit gates are as well so cant plan ahead.
A huge inconvenience for Trapper / Hag who in most situations won't be able to lay traps in time .
I'd give it a go on test server.
Hag barely gets to endgame anyway since she's so strong. But I agree with Trapper, it'd be rough for him.

I guess that boils down to if you T-bag at every chance you get, use flashlights to blind at every pallet and heal constantly when given the chance. If no, then you're definitely not toxic in my book.

how good at looping are ya? what is your record of loops in the typical crappy house most of maps have?
Since I run Balanced, I can loop them for at least a gen until I waste a pallet. If I don't fall for their mindgames which I rarely do, for looping, I'm good. On xbox rank 1 I can run killers for 5 gens. On PC rank 1, I can manage 1-2 gens. But I got an advantage on xbox since killers can barely turn.
I think you still can improve, try to extend more the breaking of the pallet by juking in the window....
I can definitely still improve. It's why I love this game because you can't really be stuck at a spot, you'll improve. Thanks for the advice I'll window juke. Do you have PC by any chance, we could practice?
I learn from Och*do how to but im too noob as surv yet to practice at ur level~~ thanks anyways
inb4 hope not to get banned by mentioning the one that should not
You shouldn't get banned. If you ever feel like practicing to hone your skill, post it on my profile I'll gladly help. Just make sure it's sometime this week, since I don't play on PC much and this week is my only chance to since I got college.

This is just a curious question I've had as I wanted to know what single addon on its own would significantly improve your gameplay as a killer for each and every killer in your own opinion. So which addons would you want to become baseline for what killers and why (this part is optional)? (If you can't think of one, you can put down N/A).For example, this is my list ;
Clown : Flask of Bleach (Rare) - This makes his slowdown slightly better, it's a basic addon that really helps clown a lot in catching up to survivors and better closing off loops.
Doctor : Calm (Uncommon or Very Rare) - This addon compliments Doctor's power better than almost any other addon he has, making one of these baseline provides a basic change to where his terror radius is decreased in punishment (28 with uncommon, 24 with very rare) and is increased with treatment mode (36 with uncommon, 40 with very rare). It's simply a nice addition without breaking him.
Freddy : Nancy's Masterpiece (Rare) - One painful part about Freddy is that you have to be close to a survivor to put them to sleep just to have to wait again. Making this addon baseline in my opinion provides a nice change without breaking him.
Hag : N/A
Hillbilly : N/A
Huntress : Oak or Bandaged Haft (Uncommon or Common) - These addons don't change Huntress too terribly much, it only simply lowers her cooldown by a bit.
Legion : N/A - Needs a rework
Leatherface : Primer Bulb - For the sake of example, this addon simply helps with how incredibly long his charge time is despite moving slower than hillbilly when charging it up.
Myers : Memorial Flower (Uncommon) - This addon just provides a slight boost to his stalk speed which at times can be a little slow or painful especially on some maps like rotten fields or yamoaka's estate.
Nurse : N/A
Pig : Last Will (Uncommon) - This would've originally been combat straps but the dev's already acted on that so for the sake of having an example we will use last will. Last will provides a simple boost to pig's ability stall the game especially considering how her RBT's are RNG.
Spirit : Muddy Sports Day Cap (Uncommon) - this is because spirit's speed addons increase her speed by way too much yet nobody really ever complains about most of her addons other than prayer beads. Making this baseline would give a good reason to lower the effectiveness of some of her addons while providing a nice boost to her mobility in her basekit.
Trapper : Stitched Bag (Very Rare) - Trapper's biggest problem is that he wastes too much time getting his traps, this addon despite being very rare is such an incredibly good addon to cut down on time wasted that it just makes him so much better to play.
Wraith : Windstorm (Rare) - This improves Wraith's cloaked mobility allowing for better map control and an easier time using bodyblock strategies without needing an addon to help pull it off more often. What single addon would you make baseline for each killer? Keep in mind that this is just a fun post and is not intended for debates about balance, just simply one basic change you think you will make each killer more enjoyable.
I agree except for Hag I'd make Dried Cicada base kit.

I am sorry to hear that some of you are having experiences like this in your games, and I can sympathise with you. I agree with @Eveline that there are different degrees to it, and this is something we want to minimise the gap on. I can assure you that we are looking into ways of lowering levels of toxicity, beyond our banning systems, and also looking into gameplay mechanic changes as well. Ultimately, from my own experience, I try my hardest to separate the emotional side of my brain from the logical side, when it comes to "toxicity". The Meg is teabagging the killer, not the person PLAYING Meg is teabagging me. Separating that has helped me not take it to heart
Some suggestions I've had.
1) Overwatch changes things like "gg ez" to humiliating sentances like "mom says I have to go to bed now".
2) Rainbow six auto banned people for using the very worst words. Even without banning, there could at least be a word filter in the game. Personally I think it's ridiculous that the forums have a word filter but the game doesn't. There's no good reason for anyone to tell someone to kill themselves. Or if they say certain words/phrases they could just be muted and disabled from commenting in pre or post game chat for 24 hours.
This is just for the post game chat. In game I guess it's harder.
I would love that. The 1st one that is. Oh my god. I'd actually say gg ez just so it says that lol.

Perk wise, Hag is the better option due to Hex: Ruin alone. Hag is also a bit better killer than Clown is. Both are solid options, but unless you REALLY like Clown..Hag is a better option due to having Ruin and being a slightly better killer.Slightly? She's leagues above the Clown. She's the 3rd best killer. Nurse, Billy and Hag are way too powerful for the rest to reach except maybe Spirit.
Nurse and Billy are obviously #1 and #2 but Hag and Spirit are pretty interchangeable. All four of these killers have one thing in common, map pressure. They can traverse the map more easily than the other killers and have an easier time catching survivors. I don’t see how Hag is any better than Spirit. Hag is only REALLY powerful if you use Mint Rag with Make Your Choice.
After those four, Huntress and Myers are easily the top of the mid-tier killers. Clown is up there too but he’s nowhere near Hag.
You don't understand Hag if you think she's only powerful with Mint rag and MYC. I play without them and do extremely well. Clown sucks. His base sucks, he's ez to genrush. For me it's Nurse, Billy and Hag/Spirit (joint).
But trust me, Nurse, Billy, Hag and Spirit are all viable without perks or addons. I've tested them all.
I was wrong when I said Hag was only really powerful with Mint Rag and MYC, I just haven’t run into MANY good Hag’s in red ranks. She is a rarity as it is with the Billy/Nurse meta. My experience of Hag players hasn’t been the best because they all seem to be potato.
I’m still leveling up my Hag because I’m certainly making her my second main killer after Spirit, I just can’t play without Ruin three. Gens get done WAY too quick not to have the third level of Ruin. The top four killers are viable without perks and add-ons but any killer is going to have quite a hard time without Ruin unless the killers can apply insane pressure and the team is too altruistic. Gens get popped like crazy.
I play pretty much all killers, I will confirm that Hag even without add-ons is very powerful if one knows how to use her, I played only once with Mint Rag, I had a f_cking great timeI gotta level up my killers and put better perks on them. I usually play Spirit and Huntress who are both viable without add-ons if you’ve got good perks. Hag, Myers, and Nurse would be ones I’m really interested in playing though.
Hag doesn’t NEED add-ons but with the right combo of perks and add-ons she can be very powerful. I played with Mint Rag once before too but I don’t have MYC and I made a nooby mistake of placing more than one trap in one area so it screwed up my teleport. I still got a 3K though.
Since you play all killers, who is your personal favorite? I can only assume Wraith since that is your profile picture.
When you're going to main her, comment on my profile asking for advice, I got a lot for you

I absolutely love Wraith, he's not as weak as people say he is. The killers I don't play as are Leatherface, he really is weak, and Huntress, I absolutely suck with those hatchets. I started playing Nurse a few days ago and I got my first 4k with her today, the survivors didn't play very well but I'm still proud of it.
You're the same as me. Btw, Nurse is super ez if you memorise your blinking distance, a survivors speed (to judge how far they go) and how long you gotta charge. Shadowborn is ez mode on her so get it. And try to blink at a corner because some survivors like to wait there for u to go past it and they'll mindgame you. Make sure you study the survivor you face and be careful with Jungle Gyms.
That's my tips :P

All I do is trap half the map, keep 3 gens or 4 if it's one of those long maps where u can easily 3 gen strat. And I let them do gens on the other half, once they come to my half because they have to, I absolutely snowball them with just 1 hook and STBFL. It's divine.

@White_Owl said:
When I started it was the time when Trapper was the most common killer because traps under hooked survivors made saves almost impossible, the machine gun was a thing, the Hag got released and they trapped/camped everything and there was no way to not trigger a trap. As a new player it was hell and I died most of the times.
Newbies these days have it easy compared to then.
I agree that deranking is a problem though since it messes things up too much. When I started it was really different, pallets were everywhere and I just wasted them and ran on. I used to face Billy/Wraith a lot and I was terrified of Wraith. I used to hide behind trees to avoid killers. One time a Wraith jumpscared me from there I shat bricks. But it was more fun. I was able to feel an immersion that new players nowadays don't feel. I eventually became very skilled and pushed to rank 1.
Compared to when I was new, they have it way harder and it's not even fun for them when they face killers who end games in 3 minutes because they're good.

Lmao, I don't want to know how the rest if your tier list looks like Nurse Billy Spirit Hag Pig & Myers Huntress Wraith Legion Doctor Clown Leatherface TrapperFreddy
here u have
If only that was true but in reality Myers has nothing going for him. He is better at mindgames than most killers but has nothing to help him in chase that much. He has no map presence. Good teams will starve Myers and there is nothing he can do about it because his stalk is busted and it takes a lot of time sometimes. He can be easily pallet looped and can't handle the pressure of time. The only thing that make him somewhat decent are some of his addons but I rate killers with their base kit. Myers used to be solid back in the days but sadly he crumbles under the genrush meta - add DS and other broken stuff os survivor side and your games will be miserable.
Myers and mindgames? i dont think so, pig and spirit are a looooot more good at mindgames than Myers. If you play tier 1 myers with m&a or that purple add on that gaves you no terror radius then he can do some mindgames
Myers is strong at mindgames because his EW3 lunge is longer than any other killer, which gives u a huge advantage for mindgames at tiles
Yeah its true

Dead hard is ass after the exhaustion nerf you're much better off running balanced landingBalanced is literally the strongest exhaustion perk right now. My god I'm just in love with it.
That's a matter of opinion.
Every since the nerf, it's the complete opposite.
Any sprint-like perk went down in strength tremendously from the exhaustion nerf... and well, adaption.
Dead Hard went up in superiority BECAUSE of the nerf. Majority of the time - if you have DH and Self Care, by the time you're down self caring, you got your dead hard back. In fact, when you're healthy, you don't have to worry about your exhaustion timer either unlike with Sprint-based exhaustion perks.
Not to mention, BL you can't prolong just any loop unlike Dead Hard. Dead Hard can be used at any given time and loop and if placed in the right hands, feels impossible to catch the person.
Also, what do you do if you used your BL and the killer caught of and injured you? You're way more vulnerable than you are with Dead Hard. Hell, i don't even heal anymore because of how good Dead Hard is.
Only time BL is better than DH is on Haddonfield or The Game.
In regards to OP, I think DH is strong as it is.
No. Balanced landing opens up new loops on every map. It's more complicated then DeAd HaRd LeTs Me LoOp LoNgEr. Balanced makes really strong loops in every maps except the one with a tree in the middle. For example, in the Boat Swamp map, the boat is an efficient loop thanks to balanced landing and both the windows become loopable. You have little chance of getting caught if you mindgame it. Dead hard can't do that.
Btw while we're on the topic of dead hard, even Sprint burst outclasses Dead hard. With it, you can make a killer avoid a hit but also gain distance (3 hits to down). You can counter a Nurse who blinks, a Spirits phase, a Billy/Leatherface's saw, Hags trap triggering, Pigs dash, Wraiths speed burst, Clowns tonic (if timed perfectly), Legions frenzy (if timed perfectly) and a hatchet. With a small downside of walking around.
Dead hard counters traps, bodyblockers and lets you loop longer. The tierlist of Exhaustion perks is more like this:
Balanced then Sprint burst, then Dead hard then Lithe. Obviously Dead hard is still an amazing perk but not even comparable to Balanced or Sprint burst.
I bet if it wasn't for Tru3, I doubt Dead hard would even be so meta. It's a great perk obviously but Balanced landing and Sprint burst outclass it.
Whoa whoa whoa...
First of, people were using Dead Hard once the exhaustion nerfs hit. Don't blame a streamer that has nothing to do with the meta.
Secondly, that's because of the reduced stun time. Not from the sprint itself. Even then, Balanced Landing does not prevent a hit. Like, rarely. It gives you distance, like any Sprint-based perk.
Sorry for my rudeness but it's hilarious that you think Sprint Burst is better than Dead Hard against a Spirit or a Nurse.... like have you played with Dead Hard at all?
Dead Hard is a direct counter to the Nurse's Blink. You are GUARANTEED to not be hit with it. That means, your 3 hit-down still applies.
Like ######### dude, you do realize SB is baited out like DH right? You wait for the Sprint Burst, and then you charge up your blink or go into phase walking. If you think distance against a distance-closing killer is better than PREVENTING a hit they must take.... I can't credit you.
Also not to mention, what about those times when you're injured and you needed Dead hard to get to a window? That could of bought you countless more loops.
What about at a pallet? Dead hard there and you're either gaurenteed a safe pallet drop or 1 more loop around that pallet. ACTIVATED AT ANYTIME YOU WANT BY A PRESS OF A BUTTON.
Dead Hard can counter all of the above that you posted too. Infact, you're invulnerable almost when you have Dead Hard unlike Sprint Burst, Lithe, or BL. You can be hit before you drop, before you sprint (it's happened) or as you're vaulting. Dead Hard prevents those hits.
Dropping from heights loses distance anyway. It's weak to even with BL because of the time it takes to drop and the animation. Regardless. It's still a good perk, but I'm going to have to utterly disagree with you. It's the best exhaustion perk. It's a bigger clutch than Adrenaline. Anyone who's good at this game would agree DH outclasses all exhaustion perks.
Sure, it's great on the boat map, but unlike Dead Hard, Balanced Landing is not always viable on every map. And there's more non-viable maps than Shelter Woods. Dead Hard is viable on every single map in every situation. Sooo...Btw, walking makes you lose map pressure.
Maybe let's agree to disagree.
I was about to suggest that. Since obviously we both have some contrasting views. I hope you don't think less of me because I don't like Dead hard. Good day.

This is unfortunately true. I'm not sure what we can do aside from the secondary objective since if we buff killers more the new players will be too overwhelmed and if we nerf killers then they will have more trouble at rank 1. Like all online games that last a while new players would have to learn the hard way when everyone's already "good". So I agree maybe finding parts would be a good second objectiveSee it's weird. But I'm genuinely concerned for the newer players. It's going to suck for them. Finding parts might fix the issue.

I bet if it wasn't for Tru3, I doubt Dead hard would even be so meta. It's a great perk obviously but Balanced landing and Sprint burst outclass it.

I'm not taking you seriously. You think looping is a scummy playstyle. Even though you have bloodlust and plenty of perks/killer powers to counter it.Then why do you start a conversation with me?
I can twist that argument:
People think tunneling and slugging is scummy even though you have pallets, windows and plenty of perks to counter it.
I agree. We're Billy mains anyways. We're a minority in these forums. We gotta stick together. But stop saying that looping is scummy. It's obviously an intended mechanic.
I'm not saying it's not intended or Survivors are not allowed to loop, but it's not always fun to deal with that's why I consider it scummy. DS, NOED, slugging, camping, tunneling, gen rushing, abusing the semi infinites,... can all be considered scummy imo.
If you don't consider looping scummy then I suppose you also don't consider it scummy to tunnel?
For me, scummy is that part between "normal" stuff and the "toxic" stuff. Stuff that's not exactly fun to deal with but in the end we all have to agree that they're just part of the game and people use them to win.
Teabagging, hitting on hook, nodding, flashlight triggering, insulting in chat / profile ect. have no gameplay purposes and that's why I consider them toxic. They're only used to provoke and taunt.
In the end we all want DbD to become a better game but it's hard to find balance / solutions when everyones experience is to different to the others. That's why discuss, after all :P
Yup, you're correct. I was wrong. But I still can't consider looping scummy. Let's agree to disagree. I'm quite narrowminded.

I don't take screenshots of random endgame salt lol why would I?Its like how one sife often only gives a GG if they win.
You consider it toxic when the loser side doesn't give a GG?
@The_Crusader said:
Killers being able to camp and then get a second survivor with noed is an incredibly lame way to play and sucks all fun out of the game. How does that make it toxic? It's a scummy playstyle, just like looping or abusing building semi-infinites but it's not toxic.

Because they are too lazy to adapt.
When did you become so killer sided? Every comment I see from you is always in favour of killers. You ditched survivor or something?
I wouldn't call it killer sided.
Can noed be prevented? Yes. Then it's not broken.
Besides, both sides got some stuff that can change the result of the match at the end of it, and i like that. If games were predictable they wouldn't be as interesting as they are.I seriously hope the endgame gets reworked soon. To be more fun. NOED is a perk that fixes it. It's a bandaid. The devs have plans to rework the endgame. If they do and the killers have a chance to 4k in endgame, then you better believe that the chances are, NOED will be reworked completely.

-
His chases are consistent (around 15 seconds if you're good and can go as low as 10 if you got STBFL), he's got good map pressure at base and insane with Windstorm, he's difficult to track in chase, can effectively counter loops, and he can track extremely well due to his enhanced hearing at base, he's fun as hell to play and fun to face.
Wouldn't you agree @Boss

He was "solid" at release because no-one knew how to play against him, then the review bombs happened because of it then he got nerfed into oblivion then boom, worst Killer. Behaviour left no adapting time. If they did leave enough time then survivors would've learnt to counter him and he still would've been the worst killer, just not to the embarrassing degree he is now.
Naw, he'd have been mid tier, joint with Pig. The worst would be Bubba since Wraith is quite good right now.

Poor bubba and Freddy, they were so obviously rushed because of the chapter and character releasing so close to each other so no wonder they're considered the worst. Bubba should have been released after Freddy or Freddy after Bubba and then we could have gotten pig. Poor bubba didnt get his own chapter and was a rushed character, like freddy.
Freddy was solid at release though- top tier- it's just that they didn't bother making Bubba good.

xmenfanatic said:He was the first franchise killer I believe, though i may be wrong. So that could point to it being a new thing. The had released Bill as solo on the computer, so they were possibly considering the idea of doing more solo killers and survivors back in the day.
Also, Kate was designed around the time of leather face, and there is a lo of evidence pointing to the fact that she was gonna be the final girl of the remake of TCM (jessica biel), but they couldn't afford/get the rights to her character.
I thought Meyers was the first franchised killer, though maybe I'm wrong.
Myers: Released October 25, 2016
Leatherface: Released September 14, 2017
Hope that answers that.@HatCreature said:

Was that DLC released around the time they released Gas Heaven or Groaning Storehouse? That might explain the lack of a map.Leatherface was released with Grim Pantry and devs said consider that his own map.
Oh I thought Grim was Hag's map, I thought she got two maps.
Technically, she didn't. I wasn't playing at this time, but apparently, the Backwater Swamp was WAY TOO BIG when released, so they split it into two maps.
Wait you're telling me it was even bigger then it is now? Holy #########.

Just a side note, but I always wondered, why is it that the licensed killers are all lower tiers, and only the original ones make it to the top.Not saying I suspect some sinister, hidden agenda from the devs. But still, odd.
Mhm. I see a pattern.

Can you revert all of his nerfs. He's rubbish now. Please give him UNLIMITED stalking range and let him stalk more than 1 people at once. Revert the nerfs to his addons and give him faster base stalking. It's not fair. Such a cool killer got killed.I main him...seems fine to me. Those nerfs sound reasonable considering if I had unlimited stalk range then myers would be easily top tier. In most peoples eyes he is still top tier anyways so...
Yeah but he was level with Billy, that was great. It's not fair that he's now a mere shadow of his former glory. He should be as good as he used to be, since he was still balanced cause u can loop him. He wastes far too much time stalking as it is right now, at least back then he was more efficient.

Hell yeah.

Multistalk nerf, nerfs on his addons, his stalking range nerf, nerf of his perks. He has been gutted by nerfs so hard since release it's laughable.

It should be 30/35/40% imo.

No. It's balanced enough as it is. No point in touching it. Almost half a gens time for a healthstate is fine.
