  • I'd rather keep survivors just skins and have variety rather than see only Claudettes with 10% increased healing speed or Megs that recover from exhaustion 10% faster.

  • Keys are so common in chests if you bring plunderer's as well. In almost half of my games I get either a skeleton key or a dull key from a chest whenever I use plunderer's. Ridiculous.

  • I'd guess they'll go into the store whenever the rift changes considering they've said they want to steer away from exclusives.

  • Now that Deliverance is a perk though, it's a bit annoying that you can't unhook yourself if you're the last person alive. Wouldn't make much of a difference probably but you'd still get the 1500 extra points.

  • BT just encourages farming. Since you can't get punished because the farmed survivor is very unlikely to go down in the first 10 seconds with BT. Imo it should only reward the safe unhook event after BT expires or if the survivor got hit, whenever they mend themselves.

  • Whenever you're working on a generator with another survivor, highlight their aura.

  • Snares are already good, they stop fast vaults and cut loops and shack short.

  • If DS deactivated when gates get powered it would be better balanced.

She is far from being fine:

    • her lunge is broken,
    • her inconsistant pallet stuns,
    • her fatigue being way to short even at base,
    • her multiple blinks,
    • her omegablink addons
    • her blinking in and out of the basement

Just to name a few things which are not fine. Also there is no autoaim on the Nurse.

    Her addons are the problem.

  • I got it when a killer sacrificed the last survivor just moments before I finished the last generator across the map and I then went around the map to the exit gate that was behind the hook where my last teammate was sacrificed and opened the gate before the killer got to me.

This achievement does have a 9.1% completion rate on PC, probably due to the glitch that gave it to anyone who completed the last gen and escaped.

  • It's just irritating to look for totems on swamp due to the humongous map size and simply because the totems can spawn on almost any of the outer edge tiles as well as the tiles in the middle of the map.

  • @YaiPa I don't think lagswitch warrants an instant permanent ban because it's pretty difficult to tell if someone is lagswitching or if it's just bad connection so keeping tabs on their profile to see if they get a game ban probably isn't a viable option.

  • I like it. Before when there was just a little skull icon, exposed didn't really seem like a big deal but now it actually feels to me that I'm in danger.

  • The complete story of events that will happen once the Nurse (addon) rework is announced:

    1. Once the changes are announced, people will be either extremely glad or upset that she got changed.
    2. During the PTB people will give feedback about very real problems that she has.
    3. BHVR won't have enough time for big changes so the planned changes will go live half-baked.
    4. "We will monitor the data on how she performs and make adjustments where needed."
    5. She is in a bad state (whether gameplay wise or balance wise) anywhere from 1-6 months until she gets fixed.

    Sounds about right.

  • You should probably give more info like what region you'd prefer the player be from and what exactly you are experimenting.

  • I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of for example, Scarred Hand becoming common/uncommon for Hag. I think they just had 2 good ideas for the base power of Freddy and thought "Heck, why not both?!".

  • Object isn't healthy for the game in it's current state. Makes it impossible to design stealth killers. Don't know why BHVR hasn't tackled this perk before but now is a good a time as any.

  • Padded jaws does pair well with STBFL but other than that it is pretty useless.

  • Oh, i'm dumb. I thought it was a bug because you said currently.

    I'm still supporting the idea.

  • Most likely a glitch but would be a pretty good buff and might make it better than bond.

  • Don't the pallets have collision? I haven't played against dream pallets that many times so I don't know but I thought they had collision.

  • @AChaoticKiller How'd it get buffed?

  • It was also confirmed (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/599607) that there will not be a summer event this year.

  • The only reason old Freddy was "weak" was because of his dependance on good or even moderate rng.

  • Nurse is honestly more fun to play against than Spirit. Against Nurse you know it's your own fault for dying fast but against Spirit when you come to a loop, it's mostly a coinflip favored heavily for the Spirit. There is no drawback (except the cooldown) to using her power. If you're trying to mindgame her by not running to leave scratchmarks, she can just stop phasing and in most situations you'll be out of position due to trying to mindgame her that she might be able to get a hit basically for free. Even when you've won the "mindgame" you're still at a high risk of getting hit.

  • What if a survivor intentionally trolls and never lets others save effectively screwing their whole team up? This has been suggested before but the negatives outweight the benefits.

Maybe because not enough survivors are queued for the amount of killers online. Calling playing with friends an exploit, is hilarious. I’m not sorry.

Exploiting the matchmaking system to get easier games is still kinda of a douche move if I'm gonna be honest.

  • I often play solo but sometimes with friends and after this there would be no reason to play the game, even for fun. It doesn't feel fair to get punished just because you like playing with friends.

Currently, it is also impossible for the game to distinguish who is in a swf and who is not. When dedicated servers come out then maybe something can be done.

What I think should be done is make the killer earn more bloodpoints and progress to emblems throughout the match.

What you mean? so you think being downed is bad play? do you loop killers for unlimited time and never get downed?

Is it the survivors objective to get downed by the killer? No, so why should you get rewarded for getting downed?

  • Dead Hard seems to be bugged right now. It doesn't always do the dash.

  • Why is is a problem that a perk rewards bad play on the killer side but not the survivors? Why isn't Decisive Strike not a problem? It rewards survivors for being downed and picked up by the killer. Why isn't Unbreakable not a problem? It lets you get up for free from the dying state after you get downed by the killer.

Nurse is about to get nerfed and she takes a lot of practice to master, how will you feel when she is changed and your efforts will be gone?

I think hag is a safer bet, she is powerful but not that prominent, thus she is not in the survivors' nerf radar for now

They can't get away with nerfing Nurse basekit (at least by a lot). Many killers would be outraged.

Her addons need the nerfs/tweaks though.

That's almost the exact point of it, it's gives you another reason why you should wake up.

I thought the point was that you couldn't tell how close Freddy was, not if he is within 32m from you. The lullaby is constant and that constant is low, only reason I've even realized Freddy was coming for me is because of Spine Chill.

  • @Gcarrara said:

I like the Lullaby, it fits into the sleeping theme and adds to the unpredictability of where freddy is coming (if he's coming for you at all).

If i can ask, which part of it do you dislike? The volume? Or the fact that it loops endlessly? Or just the lullaby itself?

I think the volume is a tad bit quiet and it's sometimes hard to tell if Freddy is nearby as I can't hear the lullaby clearly.

  • AFAIK this is a buff (And a great one at that!). Huntress and Billy might see some use for it now.

    @Dehitay

Here's a fun list of killer perks that meet the same requirement of no skill and your stupid logic.

    • A Nurse's Calling
    • Agitation
    • Bamboozle
    • BBQ&Chili
    • Bitter Murmur
    • Bloodhound
    • Bloodwarden
    • Brutal Strength
    • Corrupt Intervention
    • Coulrophobia
    • Deerstalker
    • Discordance
    • Distressing
    • Dying light
    • Enduring
    • Fire up
    • Franklin's Demise
    • Furtive chase
    • Hex:Devour Hope
    • Hex:Haunted Grounds
    • Hex:NoED
    • Hex:Huntress Lullaby
    • Hex:Ruin
    • Hex:The Third Seal
    • Insidious
    • Iron Grasp
    • Knock out
    • Lightborn
    • Monitor & Abuse
    • Monstrous Shrine
    • Overcharge
    • Overwhelming Presence
    • Pop goes the weasel
    • Predator
    • Remember Me
    • Save The Best For Last
    • Shadowborn
    • Sloppy Butcher
    • Spirit fury
    • Stridor
    • Surveillance
    • Thanatophobia
    • Thrilling Tremors
    • Unnerving Presence
    • Unrelenting

90% of perks in any game are no skill. They spice up the game and can create new strategies and techniques to play the game. No point in arguing which perks require skill and which don't.

About perks that reward people for playing bad, both sides have them. Unbreakable and decisive strike both reward the survivor for playing badly and Bitter murmur, noed and MYC reward the killer for playing badly. Claiming that a perk rewards someone for playing badly isn't valid in this case.

Adrenaline requires you to do your objective, unless you get it by hatch closing.

Yes and Dying Light requires you do your objective but people seem to despise that perk...

will you care if they get removed? i doubt so since it only saves you about idk 5 seconds of wiping and picking them up? the chances of them bugging out is rare but can screw you over so hard, LIKE THESE:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/616/R1219UOXAY00.png

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/493/E7WM60RUKMWP.png

you literally freeze in place for a good 5 seconds, ironically the same amount of time it saves you when grabbing a survivor instead of attacking them and wiping your weapon.

here's a video i found in youtube explaining my first disadvantage point:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVOObjcU0UM

btw none of these images or videos are mine

Guess I'm just lucky but I've never had the grab animation freeze for me in around 1300hrs of play. For me it always just does a regular attack.

Speaking about the topic, grabs can be useful as well. It does save the killer some time and like you said it can counter BT (nowadays it is a bit risky to grab due to the DS change that happened but still a better choice than just hitting the survivor and letting them get away anyway). It can also in rare circumstances save you from a flashlight save, if a survivor with a flashlight is waiting behind you for the survivor you're chasing to get downed and you instead grab them from the window. If the survivor downed at the window you'd have no choice but to slug or risk getting flashlight saved as you can't look at a wall.

    Grabs are also fun :)

  • If this happened people would probably just run Thrilling Tremors. Basically does the same thing as bbq except it doesn't help after all gens are done (and doesn't give you bonus bp).

Only reason I still run BBQ over Thrilling Tremors is because I'm not done lvling up my killers. Once I get all the desired perks on my killers I will probably switch to Thrilling Tremors.

  • @Peanits said:

The intention is more for tracking a survivor who is activating your traps when you are not around, not necessarily in a chase. For example, I see a dream pallet, I know it's fake, I throw it down. Now I'm bleeding. If you come looking for me, you'll see the blood and know where I am.

As mentioned, we want to see how people use it. If it has a niche use, fantastic. If it's not worth using even when you try to use it for tracking, we can always change the effect down the line.

It isn't really that big of a deal. I always sneak around injured with iron will. With Z block if I get found I don't die right away.

  • @doitagain_ Well Freddy is invisible from 32m to survivors who are awake so same as OoO, it still works if survivors wanna stay awake.

  • The number 1 thing I LOVE about the new Freddy is that he is still immune to OoO >:)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Ruin should work as Haunted Ground and have 60s timer after totem is gone. I suggested it several times but sadly got no answer. Ruin is not even that strong as Haunted Grounds can be.

What do you think about this idea @Peanits ?

Hex perks are a gamble. You take ruin and from the get go you know it might survive the entire game or get destroyed in the first minutes of the match.

If you want more consistent alternatives to ruin you might want to take a look at corrupt intervention or pgtw. I personally run corrupt intervention on trap killers and setup around the 4 generators that are not blocked since my presence alone makes survivors unable to do gens, giving me free setup time without losing a lot of gen progress. This works well on small maps but on larger ones it can get messy if the blocked generators are in a bad spot.

Pgtw on the other hand works well with killers that don't need to setup but just need to keep up momentum and keep hooking survivors. With the recent buff it also makes it way easier to get a kick on gens.

You can also just use perks in general that speed up your game (brutal strength, enduring, spirit fury) or perks that slow down the survivors game (sloppy butcher, thanatophobia).

  • Ruin does not need a buff.

  • @NoShinyPony I know but aura reading can in some cases (like bbq) be blocked by lockers. I know aura reading is 90% of the time more useful but on rare occasions pings can come in useful as well.

It also mostly comes down to the perks themselves. Even if BBQ pinged survivors it would still see play and even if IF showed survivor's auras it would see play.

In my case with IF I've had numerous times where I've downed a person and in a locker nearby a survivor screamed, forcing them to jump out and escape and (in most circumstances) get hit.

  • @Peanits said:

There have been no nerfs to Freddy between the PTB and live.

If they start fast vaulting before hitting the snare, they will continue to fast vault the window. (They are locked into that animation as soon as they press the button.) If you place the snare away from the window slightly, they will hit the snare before being prompted to vault.

I didn't know it worked like that so doubt OP did either. I always place my traps right up to windows.

  • These new avatars are much smaller than the old ones which is kind of a bummer. I assume it's because when the perk avatars were added they were smaller so it would make sense for all of them to be the same size.

    EDIT:

    image.png

Before the whole gray area around the avatar would be a part of the avatar as well.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

@NMCKE #1 isn't balanced. There is a reason why Infectious Fright shows locations instead of auras.

I kind of agree with #2. Increase it to 20%. 10% is not enough of a bonus speed.

Last, #3 isn't balanced, either. I explained above why that is.

There are benefits and cons on auras and location pings. With infectious fright for example, because it makes survivors scream and ping them, you can know if someone is in a locker. Lockers hide auras whereas they do nothing against screams.

  • I think it's fine. I'd rather bhvr work on more important things like the next chapter than rework old moris.
