Would like this idea but with range added
The longer you aim the further the chain goes and how longer it takes to break it.
Quickshots still work but with limited range and now DS can brag about their 30+ meter headshot.
Fun for all
Yeah your idea is 100x better, instead of a stronger chain a further reach sounds way more fun

Answer: As soon as they figure out what's causing
Seriously people who have done any level of coding knows that something could bug because of something completely unrelated.
It's their job to be programmers though? like it's hard but it's also their job, it's like a math teacher saying math is too hard for me when it's his job to teach it, and for the record the reason it can't be cleansed is because it's too tight so just move it a bit
-
I would argue a good blight with ruin, undying and tinkerer seems a little unfair but for the most part blight has some solid counterplay, and his chase music slaps
-
When ruin gets cleansed, the whole trial gets like some dramatic flash similar to the blight patch blood lust effect, and you get hexed by undying, then after 20 seconds ruin gets moved to a new dull totem, thats it rly
-
I'm not 100% sure but i think The cooldown begins after the 30 second window, regardless if someone touches it or not
-
So any surged generator with ruin gets regressed at 400%?
-
Dragon’s grip, i just randomly used it on twins cuz i was still leveling them up and i stumbled upon the perk. you kick a gen then control victor and when someone touches the gen you just control charlotte and down them, add ons that make her wake from her dormant state faster are pretty good with my idea as well
-
too strong, imagine charlotte running bbq, thana, sloppy, corrupt and victor runs undying and ruin.

With matchmaking this bad, kill rate means next to nothing.
Nurse has the lowest kill rate. You gonna tell me she needs buffs?
Freddy kills a lot of people for two reasons.
- He's somewhat powerful while being very easy.
- The majority of survivors are awful.
Simple as that.
If you get one dipshit who goes down super quickly because they underestimate Freddy's lunge, you're all #########.
I'm very unsure if you're trying to defend him or support his upcoming changes, you call him powerful and very easy while calling "Majority" of survivors bad, also nurse is an exception because she's extremely hard to master and deadly in the right hands, and her kill rate isn't as low, it's a 46% iirc, 4% off the preferred percentage, instead of being 20% off the preferred percentage

Her kill rate was 40% if i remember correctly. My point was that you cannot just cherry pick statistics how you please. You know what is funny fact? killers had already 2 kill 2 escape ratio back in 2016 when survivors were pretty much gods, but according to the statistics survivors shouldn't have been nerfed. Also last thing. 50-70% is now 30 % difference? how does your math work
I'm not cherry picking, every killer is relatively close to each other in terms of statistics, like they're gradually increasing from 2%, 4%, but freddy has a very big noticeable gap that no one can deny is pretty noticeable, and i did miscalculate, it was 20% instead of 30%. Point is he's being changed and this conversation is completely pointless tbh

According to the kill rates nurse needs massive buffs
Playing dumb are we? nurse is an exception, her power is very different and unique and wasn’t her kill rate something like 46%? which is like 4% off the wanted percentage, unlike Mr.Fredrick here with his 70% kill rate, 30% off the preferred percentage.
he literally sticks out like a sore thumb it’s hilarious people still have the audacity to call him balanced.
30>4

Why is OP defending freddy so hard like it’s the last thing in their life? he’s getting changed and it’s been confirmed on the dev stream, 70% kill rate is NOT OK.

Ok so what can I do to avoid and instant lunge or constant baits. Because if there really is a way to avoid him like you day against someone who baits til you move and lets go to m1 and instantly lunges then yeah ill wanna know.
Well first off demos are very rare to face, so that’s good for you, and if you do end up facing one then you need to see how they play to understand their mindset.. do they bait a lot or not? if they bait a lot it means they’re very afraid of using shred since it does have a hefty cooldown if you miss, also if you’re at shack window and they open their mouth you wanna collide with the window.. but not actually vault to make it look as real as possible that you’ll vault it when you won’t, items can reveal this bluff though since a good demo will notice if your item goes missing it means you will vault so they commit to the shred and if it doesn’t disappear it means you’re bluffing the vault, don’t let them bait you.. YOU bait them, also demo’s shred pallet break is as fast as a normal break (both 2 seconds fyi) but the shred one seems faster cuz it instantly breaks the pallet but the cooldown is just the same.. you could also use spine chill + resilience to vault way faster than they can react because shred’s hitbox is wider than a normal lunge but has less reach.. this was confirmed by a demo pounce guide made by Pyrus.. https://youtu.be/-WoemxN7B18
(Proof at 4:53)
last tip of the day is to play demo himself to figure out his pros and cons and see what hinders you the most when playing him
-
instead of calling this person bad and trash how about proposing some tips?
-
yeah they changed his 8m theme to sound very similar to his chase music so that the build up sounds nicer and it honestly sounds so good

I've only seen a killer use that perk 6 times.
this is purely on your experience, watch anyone play with ruin and undying and see how effective they are, not to mention i face at least 1 undying every 3 rounds
-
This is why you give object a fixed 32 Meter range instead of a terror radius, unless they have undetectable
-
I’m really excited as well, Hope we get it in the mid-chapter patch
-
Definitely Plague, the chase music is so off i never take her chases seriously
-
fix bubba’s clunky pick up animation

these tips are mostly aimed towards rank 20 aka new players, there’s really no need to overthink how a rank 20 bill will take advantage of looping the badham white fence into 2 god pallets downstairs lmao, and badham is the only example of bad walls, the macmillan map has walls where if you don’t break them they turn into the old god loops like they were before
-
Tbh blood favor buffs the weaker survivors to not waste the pallet after getting hit, so yeah my opinion is the same as yours
-
someone brought a haddonfield offering and everytime i would chase them they get cucked by a bush so hard, and during the match i hit them and they ran into 3 bushes that trapped them in a corner lmao

Your internet crashing twice, thats on you, like you said the first penalties arent harsh and for me gamebreaking bugs like not bleeding or egc not ending the game.. etc are very rare and if you’re gonna play a game with a wifi that crashes twice in a row you need to fix it yourself
-
I would love a city block like you mentioned with some small office buildings where we can go inside
-
Here’s my suggestion: When you cleanse a ruin totem for example and the killer has undying everyone gets like a cool screen vfx to imply that the ruin totem has been moved and that the killer has undying and everyone gets cursed by hex undying (because undying is the only hex that doesn’t give you the hex status effect at all which is stupid for when you run soul guard) and it only protects each totem once instead of 3 times

Come on, you cannot be serious. You actually think that Demogorgon gives a similar amount of info to any other killer? I just gave you a middle of the road example and you basically ignored the parts that proved you wrong.
If you remove his global m1 and stun noises and loud ass STOMP STOMP like i originally suggested in the post then yes, he will only roar after hitting a survivor (you can see them getting injured anyway without the roar) and he will roar when teleporting (freddy also makes swooshing sounds when teleporting)

Not to disregard your point since this is only one other killer, but... Doesn’t Oni also notify other survivors when he’s stunned? I’ve definitely heard another survivor stun him early in the match before and thought, “oh it’s an Oni”. I’m not sure if it has a radius though.
yes you’re correct, oni’s stun is global, his footsteps are loud and he has 2 audio cues for his power
-

Wraith doesn't have global sounds.
I'm pretty sure he does, not the bell ringing itself, but whenever he cloaks you hear a SWOOOSH sound, you can try testing in kyf

some survivors might be cheap enough to run ds + unbreakable + soul guard but they're not THAT cheap to run the op broken no mither that i have no idea how they didnt nerf it even thought its been in the game for years smh my head

Literally none of those things matter compared to what is essentially free echolocation that the killer is not actively looking for you at that moment. The point of the TR is to tell you when the killer is nearby: Demo's constant "RAWR~! :3 "s are a contant indication that the killer not only isn't nearby, but they are preoccupied. Some of the things you mentioned have a similar effect, like GF's marking circle, but Demo's absurd frequency of these notifications is what hurts him to a degree that few other killers feel.
I agree, all the killers mentioned above have a way to tell they're using their power, but NONE indicate when they're pressing m1 or getting stunned or what they ate for breakfast which is why i think his m1 and stun sounds shouldn't be global even if it's just for the sake of horror atmosphere, the roar after the hit is fine since you can already see someone getting injured at the bottom left

@Ryuhi said:
Global audio queues are actually a big deal, as they give the survivors a lot of information for free. especially when paired with perks.
Demo and Clown both get hit really hard compared to other killers because of the frequency of these global queues, not even just that they exist. Most of the things you listed are very situational, and only really serve to say who the killer is, not necessarily where. One of the biggest reasons these cues hurt Demo and Clown disproportionately is because they happen all the damn time when said killer is in a chase. Every time clown lands a bottle, and every time demo does a literally anything, the whole map knows about it. This means all they have to do is listen for the TR and/or look for their spine chill to stay dull, and realize "oh look, its genrush o'clock."
Knowing that a killer is chasing someone else, while also having the benefit of knowing said chase is nowhere near you, means that you are completely safe to do whatever you want and be at zero risk from said killer. If that chase lasts 1 minute, then up to 3 gens are easily on the verge of popping, with the survivors needing to show zero respect in the process. Demo gets hit especially hard for it, since he can still get looped easier than clown, so he has a harder time cutting chases short enough to offset this weakness. Granted, he still has better map pressure potential with his portals and lunge, so hes not as bad as clown overall... but its the main reason people bring it up so often: He would be a considerably more viable killer if survivors we required to respect him more.
i find clown suffering from this problem harder than demo, you see when the survivor screams you can see their scream bubble's location and from which direction, luckily however demo's screaming is not directional
-
@MadLordJack said:
You're blowing most of these completely out of proportion. Ghostface, for example, doesn't make a giant DING when he goes into stealth or begins to mark a survivor. He doesn't scream at the top of his lungs when he breaks a pallet, searches a locker, or swings his knife. And he doesn't make an enormous boom when someone reveals him.
like i said i changed the title to better reflect what i ment, you're example is 1 killer out of 20 and they all have a way to tell what they're doing, a giant red circle appeared to someone's name? killer is ghostie, the timer ran out? the killer lost the survivor.. and like i said demo shouldn't have a global hit and stun noise at the bottom of the post and i think they should be removed, i mentioned all these killers not to prove demo is balanced, i mentioned them to prove how all killers give a tell tale for their power 1 way or another and not when they breath on the map

@calem said:
You: "Every" killer has a "global" "audio" cue.
Proceeds to list Hillbilly, Leatherface, Pig, Spirit, Legion, Ghostface, and Blight who do not have a "global" "audio" cue.
But more seriously, I've never heard anyone say it's unfair that it's easy to tell when Demo is teleporting. Demo's probably one of the most well-balanced killers in the entire game. It's very easy to tell what killer it is based on the information you've listed so I don't think it's unfair for any specific killer.
Yes, completely ignore clown, trapper, nurse, oni, deathslinger, plague, doctor, huntress, freddy, myers, hag and wraith, for 4 killers who don't have a global audio cue but it sure as heck reaches far away, hillbilly's chainsaw can be heard from pretty far like 60m and thats like a double terror radius, and all the killers you mentioned dont have a global cue BUT you can still tell what they're doing, a random deep wound bar appeared? its a legion using frenzy, someone got an rbt? its a pig... etc.. they dont have global cues but they have other things that tells what they're doing, oh and fixed the title
-
idk? the only thing i can think of is that you might rely too much on static blast to find survivors (if you're below 300 hours) in where other killers dont have a very strong track ability like doc does
-
The Perk alone is pretty balanced; A small half a second dash that protects you from damage if timed properly (and if not goofed by dedicated servers) or can be used for distance.
while it looks extremely BS for someone to use it to reach a pallet or window that otherwise couldn't be reached, it's not the end of the world, you can still try to mindgame and down the survivor, HOWEVER while I don't consider the perk alone Overpowered I do consider it extremely overkill for all 4 survivors who loop well enough to run it.
I consider the perk to be a training wheel to cover up for mistakes, however when you rarely make a mistake it just becomes overkill, 4 average lets say 300 hour survivors running the perk will help them in the long run but as I said a good survivor doesn't need the perk, but people will still use it to win and I don't blame them, "Perk shaming" shouldn't be a thing cuz it makes me win like i'm not gonna run any means necessary and for the people (both are very good perks mind you) but they use 50% of my perks and aren't as good as dead hard which uses 25% of my build.
-
im starting to doubt if he even has a reveal mechanic

Unfortunately you have to choose between Ruin + Undying or Dragon's Grip since they don't combo. And everyone decided Undying was better. If they nerf Undying, we may see it come into the meta. Until then, probably not.
its honestly more of a preference, Pop + dragon’s or Undying + ruin, or if you’re feeling spicy run all 4 together
-
Wiggle isn't really designed for free escapes, it's just there so that the killer doesn't take their time going around choosing what hook they want you in, i do understand the breakout frustration though but all it does is reduce the wiggle from 16 seconds to 13, so you're gonna have to use the speed boost to bait more hits
-
That is very useful, i always thought there was a speed cap, now i can run botany + desperate measures + we'll make it + new WGLF for an insane healing speed
-
thx for the useful tips <3
i got some tips of my own as well
You can also attack during a lethal rush to end it instead of being forced to dash away from the survivor.
something i also noticed is that you can lunge and curve sliiightly before cutting a corner to be able to hit a survivor since blight's weapon loses it's collision while rushing unlike oni

licensing is very weird sometimes, like you can go against freddy on switch.. but you can't play as him... wot
and there's still no info on if he's coming to switch or not, since NOES is in a bit of a license mess right now where the original owners of wes craven estate claimed the movie's rights in certain estates and new line cinema claims it on some other estates so it's kinda divided

It would be impossible to gain tokens unlocking the hatch, as doing so forces you down the hatch first. You've already left the trial at that point.
They've already announced that they're adding new ways to gain tokens here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/194208/developer-update-september-2020#latest ; but I don't see it explicitly specified how.
I'm not sure what the devs did but WGLF already gave you tokens for saving your team by blinding and and pallet stunning... as for the hatch thing you're right it's impossible right now, but maybe the devs can pull something off for this to work, although i doubt they'll add anything from what i said but hey one can dream xd

Your math is off on pop’s 3rd version,
30 + 60 / 2 equals 30 not 60 because we have to divide first so 60 / 2 equals 30 then it becomes 30 + 30.

i dont put them on... cuz i forget lol
