Old Borrowed Time VS New Borrowed Time
I personally think that the old version was better. The only real problem I had with it is that it practically gave the killer the finger if they had someone hooked near an open exit gate. But I feel the current version of the perk is much worse and just encourages people to use it for farming teammates off the hook. What are other people's opinions on this? Did you prefer the old or new version? Why?

If you think the new version encourages farming from hooking, think of what the old version would do.
The new version imo is a good spot. The rescuer is making a conscious choice to unhook someone while the killer is near giving invulnerability to the victim, there no reason they should have invulnerability as well ..that's just stupid OP.
Yes, but before it was a one time use which made only people who used it to be a team player have it in their build. Everyone else would ignore it since it wouldn't be active the rest of the game. Now that it is infinite, people are more drawn to it because they can use it whenever they please with almost no consequence to themselves. It in no way gives them invulnerability, just an extra health state. They can still be immediately downed after that.
I just don't agree and prefer this version, sorry.
*Shrugs*
That's completely understandable! Everyone has their preference.
BT + Wglf is the farming build to go
Unfortunately this is the problem. It's too good of a combo for getting free stacks off. It causes people to not give a #########. Although it is VERY useful if you actually made a safe unhook and the idiot you unhooked ran straight to the killer again.
@DudeDelicious
The definition of a "safe unhook" gets blown out of the window when BT is involved.
@DudeDelicious safe hook event was and is bugged. Sometimes you get it after survivor gets downed. Lets be honest, if you go down fast with bt on then you are super bad.
New bt encourages farming and you don't even have to mend it ever, just like with Legion.
I think they fixed the bug. Although I haven't had the chance to play the most recent patch yet so it could have come back. Going down fast with Borrowed Time might not just be because you're bad. You have some scenarios were there is NO pallets in an area (due to idiot teammates) and you can't do anything to stop the killer. Agreed though that the new deep wound discourages the mending of Borrowed Time now until they leave the terror radius.
Maybe when you're unhooking someone in the basement, you and the other one get the immunity ? Against some killers camping basement, you can do nothing even with borrowed time.. e_e
That was how borrowed time worked back in the days. Double buff.
Dont bring back that abomination.
Personally the older one felt like a massive crutch. It was unbearable when it was stacked and it was the end of the game. I honestly wouldn't mind it too much if only multiple people didn't run it in one game.
I know, but against campers in basement, (Leatherface, Billy, ...), it should protect both, time to move
That did seem to be the two biggest problems. The fact that everyone could have it and that it was pretty much unstoppable at the end of the game.
BT just encourages farming. Since you can't get punished because the farmed survivor is very unlikely to go down in the first 10 seconds with BT. Imo it should only reward the safe unhook event after BT expires or if the survivor got hit, whenever they mend themselves.
It's almost the exact same. If you get hit off hook and left alone, you get away.
If they follow you, you can run as long as you like until they hit you again.
They just happen to add a mend bar to it.
