  • I do actually! There's some very fun things you can do with it with Deathslinger.

  • for the record Hag already has a really low TR. MnA at all levels bring it down by 8 meters, so it brings it down to super small levels

  • Personally I think he's too easy to play for his effectivity.

Ghostface is just fine how he is. Strong but well balanced. The reason people complain about him is because they refuse to watch their surroundings or position themselves in ways they can see him coming early.

The reveal mechanic is buggy yes, as in sometimes it doesn't work and sometimes you get revealed through walls. But outside that, in the games where it doesn't act buggy, it's totally fine. I can reveal him consistently as survivor, and as GF I can usually avoid being revealed if I crouch the moment I hear the reveal sound effect.

If you have a problem playing against Ghostface start using Spine Chill. It pretty much negates his power completely. The moment it lights up for more than a second, you move. Simple. "But why should I bring a perk to counter 1 killer". Yea no... Spine Chill is an amazing perk that is great against every killer, stealth killers in particular. Including Spirit which people also seem to have a hate boner for only because they are bad at the game. He is also loopable just like most other killers, you just have to pay attention a bit more at loops when he is in Night Shroud.

I've actually seen some madlad ass Ghostfaces turn around when approaching a survivor they suspect of having Spine Chill and moonwalking to them so Spine Chill doesn't activate.

  • Definitely not OP. Far from it actually. However I do see his appeal, and granted he does has his strengths like: easily accessible insta-down, ability to instantly crouch to make yourself harder to see at short-wall loops, and the best stealth kit in the game, and its freakin Ghostface from Scream with some of the best sound design DBD has put out ever. I love my boy Ghostface, and he's pretty well-made once they fix all the technical issues with him.

    It's not an infinite.

Generally most infinites are long gone, but they're still used to this day to refer to a super strong window/tile. So if you hear infinite you can generally assume it's not an actual infinite, just a leftover term from the old days of this game.

  • Trapper and Hag are the killers that'll rely on these mechanics the least, as they have mechanics that deter them from chasing normally.

While both of these points are true, I did want to mention that I think too many killers simply see kills as their ONLY objective, hence I used the chainsaw-only Hillbilly as an example. It is a very common strategy, and personally one I hate. There have also been numerous complaints about the ranking system, but they are also playing in such a kill-focused way that they seem to lose sight of the elements of the ranking system and make the excuse that a 4k shows more skill.

At this point in time, I see no point in abiding by the ranking system. I've reached rank 1 multiple times and all that jazz so I don't really care for pips, so I don't see a point in intentionally limiting myself for the game to tell me I finally didn't win too hard. If you want to get to high ranks, I totally recommend abiding by the ranking system and all of its rules, however as a long time player I just don't want to limit myself so hard for a system that doesn't benefit me in any way shape or form.

Again, this comes down to subjectivity. If you think you shouldn't be focused on only kills, go for it. Everyone plays this game differently and neither me nor anyone in this site can tell you differently. I personally do see kills as my only objective, but many others considers pipping to be wins or a strange mix between the two. I personally rely on the old pipping system of 2 sacrifices one hook to win.

EDIT: I could see camping / tunneling for easy kills being brought up into why this is a flawed system. Unfortunately no system is perfect and both the emblem system and kill-based ranking systems have their flaws. I don't camp nor tunnel unless I really really need too so its not a big deal for me, but I can understand the argument.

  • It's more of a "make your own win condition" kind of thing. If I had to guess, the """""official""""" way of """""winning""""" is to pip. But, as we all know, that's not reliable as you could play genlock Legion and pip almost every game with only 1 sacrifice and play a normal Plague match getting 3 kills and still not pipping. Personally, I go for kills, as I see it as my own personal win condition (and it was technically the old one for killer before the emblem system, so I'm still kind of going off that even years later.)

As with a lot of things in this game, it's just personal preference, and no survivor/killer can tell you how to win and what a win is since its so hazy.

  • RS2 has already been basically confirmed to never be base, for good reason too. Why would people waste time looking for boxes when they could just do gens then do the boxes? It would have sort of a reverse effect for what it was originally intended. Sure, on some maps it may increase your chance of getting a RBT kill if you're super lucky, but generally it'll convince survivors to do gens over boxes, hurting her already fragile slowdown.

Toxic SWF, tea bagging, pointing, and trying to body block every hook, so I face camped. They were extra salty in endgame chat. -47 points in proximity to hooked survivor and an iri chaser.

I have no words. Never in my 2k hours have I seen something so ridiculous. Well played.

    Let me explain the tiers

Queen Tier= The best killer in dbd, they need thier crown RIGHT NOW

Skinny Legends: Great Killers, Should be respected for being skinny legends

She Cute: Fine and Fun Killers to play but they do need a tiny bit of help.

She needs some help: Below okay Killers, They really needs some help

    DISGUSTANG: ew, why bother

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/207/XV87BVHX5U9O.png

remember I base this tierlist on raw power. If you want to throw hands, lets go

I am APPALLED by Pig's placement. I demand her in "She cute" tier! >:((

Back in my day, facecamping meant ZERO chance of a rescue. Now you have multiple perks and plays specifically built around hook diving. Git gud

old Trapper could facecamp from across the map with a single trap. the good old days

  • Fun fact: If you use enduring, and end Feral Frenzy just before you get pallet stunned, it ends the stun super quick.

  • Why would we ever remove tbagging? The moonwalking removal was a test to fix hitboxes, they didn't specifically want to remove moonwalking.

  • Generally if the Oni is sentient running around clutter is a death sentence.

  • After a bit of testing with her, I can say she doesn't feel too different. Just a bit more punishing when the survivors predict you correctly. Kinda fun, if you ask me.

  • I don't believe its biggest use is being a stealth perk, a lot of killers can track where you are at jungle gyms via your grunts of pain. Removing that allows you to extend chases a lot more when you're injured.

  • The stats response never really struck me as good information to base an argument off. We're playing in a time where literal rank 20s can play at a rank 1 match with ease, just by SWF'ing with a rank 1 survivor. Therefore, most matches have a heavy range of skill levels that can influence the match in either the survivor's or killer's favor, which isn't a balance issue. It's a ranking issue.

  • Accomplishment, really.

  • Either Pinkerton, White, or Maladroit. All are absolutely wonderful.

Did you see the Tru3 video? Survivors can't even do gens when ruin is active

It'd be crazy if you could just... yknow... disable the perk.

  • Ever since the commodious meta started coming to light, I've been seeing at least one every 3 games. Sometimes more than 1. It's so. #########. boring. I hate getting "outplayed" by performing well in chase, but lose several gens because someone held their mouse button. Then getting called bad because they held their mouse button better than me.

The new Ruin change is not imbalanced per say. It's still possible to win. But, why put killers on even more of a time crunch? This is supposed to be a game, not a stress test. I want to chill out and play some killer matches without worrying of losing half the gens before the first down just because I made a few mistakes.

I see what you mean, but if kill rates are this high, getting even higher at red ranks, where the best players are supposed to be, wouldn't it take a tremendous amount of "Bad" players to bloat stats this much. After all, the lowest the kill rates drop in all ranks is 55%, meaning even a drop of 10% to ignore "Bad" players, would still be a 45% kill rate, which can be a discussion for buffs.

I've climbed up to red ranks after the change, and I've seen at least one person less than rank 15 in about 75% of my matches. The amount of inexperienced players in red ranks is pretty insane at the moment, since solo-queuing is generally pretty unfun so survivors queue up with anyone, despite their rank.

  • Stats aren't really a good thing to base assumptions off of. Stats at "rank 1" could have any other rank due to the SWF change. So, technically, there could be 3 rank 20s and 1 rank 1 and that'd be a "rank 1 match." Plus stats don't count in skill curves (like Nurse). Honestly you just have to play killer and get the experience for yourself. If you ask me, at the current moment, I think killers are weaker solely because of the map design and the majority of maps favoring survivor, but when those are fixed there won't be much keeping survivor ahead of killers.

These vent posts are getting long and a bit pathetic. “ I’m uninstalling” , “ I’m going to Mori and noed all survivors”. Please tell me these are 12 year old raging at home and not actual adults.

Also, how many of you who complained have played the game on the ptb? I saw the map and it looks so good. Clearly the devs put some time and energy into this but as with every change, everyone complains.

So if you’ve played. What do you think? I don’t care what anyone else is ranting about. Thanks.

I've played on the PTB for most of today, and this is what I have to say:

    • Dedicated servers are so much worse. I've had 0 problems with them until today. EX: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/532542481
    • Static Blast is a great addition, however Shock Therapy seems to have 0 chase value and is in fact worse because of the cooldown to attack and increased speed reduction.
    • I haven't gotten a single even copper gatekeeper emblem today, despite 4king with multiple gens left. They've all been the black emblem.
    • New map and music are stunning. Please BHVR, give your art and sound team a raise.
    • I haven't really been a Ruin enthusiast, though I believe that the new Ruin is flawed. It brings out insane 3 gen potential on defensive killers who can easily defend their hex and for offensive killers it'll already be broken by the time you get any real use out of it. Corrupt Intervention seems to be the go-to early pressure perk now.

That's all really. The bad outshines the good in my eyes.

  • Mileeva is an absolutely amazing Nurse player, but she's Russian so I can't understand it. Her blinks are on point.

  • The idea of gender affecting characters is not a new one, but I don't feel it has a place in DBD. There's already so much RNG in the game as it is, I don't want my perks to just plain not work because the survivors are a different gender than I wanted.

  • I totally get your pain, I've almost completely stopped playing soloQ because of teammates.

Also I like the Jimi Hendrix name <3

  • Bill, he's had enough tbh :(

    as for Killer, probably Wraith.

  • @Fibijean said:

I doubt it. The changes they made were very deliberate, so they're not planning to revert them. However, I believe they are aware of the problems with the killer currently, and they do have plans to make further adjustments to him so that the adjusted "flick" feels more manageable and easier to use.

Right now, he can barely turn at all at the end of his dash, except in the very last millisecond. From what I've heard, the plan is to adjust this so that he can still only turn 90 degrees at a maximum, but he can do so more smoothly and consistently than is currently the case.

90 degrees sounds like plenty, I hope it comes soon. If it does, I might just drop Billy for Oni.

  • Everyone has their platform of choice, and the killers should be similar on all platforms.

  • Dedicating 3 whole perks to gen slowdown generally doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Especially if they're mediocre in strength, like Thana / Dying Light.

Even 2 slowdown perks is overkill, but generally not that big of a waste. I'd recommend replacing Dying Light with something else if you're going for an anti-heal build. Dark Devotion, while situational, can be pretty decent on Bubba. Getting an M1 on the Obsession will allow you to get the jump on survivors, usually resulting in a free chainsaw down. Another good one is Play With Your Food, which makes hitting chainsaws much easier in some tiles.

TL:DR, I'd heavily recommend replacing Dying Light with a more Bubba-centered perk, like Dark Devotion or PWYF.

  • Funnest Build (IMO):

Autodidact and Aftercare / Iron Will, Lucky Break, and Dance With Me. Some of the funnest combos you can have in this game.

As for killer, Surge + Surveillance can be fun with the right setup. 5 totem builds are also fun as hell.

No they won't, in the stream, they already stated that the flick was not part of his mechanism, probably only to promote sales

That's unfortunate. I know the devs answer some questions on here, so I'd love a concrete answer, but I'll keep that in mind.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

Ask any Nurse players past or present that are on these forums and I think you’ll have an answer.

Oni and Nurse aren't really on the same level, and Nurse still retains a majority of her lethality.

  • Coulrophobia actually is slowly becoming one of my favorite perks. I think it's a good sidegrade to Sloppy if you have high mobility, as it doubles the healing slowdown in exchange for it only being TR wide. Personal preference really, but I like the perk.

  • @Yamaoka said:

I've just played a couple games and everytime I slug for the 4k (which I've started doing today as I'm sick of people acting like crazy apes if they manage to escape via the hatch or gate even though they only repaired 1 gen or even no gen at all) the 3rd survivor "disconnects without the sound notification" to give the 4th survivor a chance to get the hatch/gate.

Does that mean they're literally pulling the cord so they can DC without getting temp-banned?

It happened multiple matches in a row so I doubt they always got "force dc'd". Also that doesn't really happen a lot on console since we (luckily) don't have to deal with dedicated servers.

Its very likely its an unlucky crash. Usually the DC's w/o sounds are crashes, as pulling the plug does make the DC sound iirc.

  • It doesn't sound bad, why is he complaining about it?

  • @skillchecks said:

love you Tohmo, my fav stalker ever

  • Ghostface does have a pretty hard counter: using your eyes.

  • Rancor, Make Your Choice, and STBFL, along with a perk of your choice (probably something like BBQ or TT). Rancor and STBFL stack real well together, since you get a great hit cooldown reduction without having to worry about your obsession living. Rancor and MYC work kinda well together since it may reveal the location of your MYC target. And MYC and STBFL stack well together since if you do have to hit your obsession, you only lose 2 stacks instead of 4.

YES omg. I love the idea of having DG in the game just to give the devs who made it a little bit of love and support to show them that this game was an amazing game. It should be remembered some way. I think the ideas of the perks are fantastic and would cause some fun ideas. First off, Fog's whole thing is amazing. His perks(I love hotm because vault speeds are hot, ff is amazing because like speed, and emboldened for being protected while and shortly after doing gens). It really fits with his character in DG like perfectly. Sawbones' perks are just :weary:. Friends for life seems really cool especially with bond. And I love the idea of healing people faster in dying state tbh. It may help Buckle Up not be so awful. Overall I love the survivors(or should i say scavengers). Plus imagine the looks they would have. They would look amazing. And the killer...her power is great. Its a mix between trapper and wraith but also not. Like she seems really good. Her perks are not anything extremely strong but they are still really good. And the addons are unique and neat to see. Not to mention the time it took to do all of that. I really like the idea of having DG into this game. And I really hope one day the devs consider it. But your fan chapter would be like honestly a really really good chapter. The map could even be an old dg map. I love the idea so much. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us and making an amazing chapter <3333

<333333 though if there was to be a map, my first guess would be First Strike honestly. It's the flattest, so maybe it'll be a bit more bearable in DBD's format. Though some building reduction would be good.

Lol once again pretending theres only two options in any scenario...oh boy

If the Spirit has any sort of sentience, yes there's only 2 options.

  • Issue is: lack of interaction between Survivor and Killer. As Spirit, I don't have any satisfaction in giving the survivor no options other than to guess. And as Survivor, I have no satisfaction in guessing correctly. There's no mindgaming, no outplaying, nothing. Just get lucky or suffer.

  • @Peanits said:

Thanks for the constructive feedback. I'm a little unclear by what you mean by this though:

While she exceled in 1v1 situations, when it comes to the general flow of the game and in a 1v4, she was balanced.

I would assume that means that she's strong in chase, but not so great at dealing with all four survivors at once. Wouldn't this be the case for all killers, though? Barring maybe Leatherface who can chainsaw more than one survivor at a time, every killer can only chase one survivor at a time.

That can definitely be said about most killers. Though killers who can instadown can be a bit better at that kind of stuff, like Leatherface if the stars align, or Billy who can snowball pretty well, especially with IF. That's why base Spirit and Nurse was fine, just needed some tweaks to be a bit more interactive.
