A Legacy Claudette trying to CJ tech me when I had my chainsaw out.

He does have a penalty actually. Granted its pretty easy to work around, but being awake makes them completely nullified.

The real problem here is why are you letting something in game get to you? It's probably impossible to get rid of the rapid clicking because you'd have to take out the ability to turn the flashlight on in the first place.
Thank god someone has common sense. I know someone in a Discord who wanted to remove the Survivor moonwalk, calling it an "exploit."

Corrupt Intervention is great for early game steamrolling and is active at the beginning of the match.

Let's see here...
Brand New Part: Way too powerful of a plus with next to no downside.
Healing: Okay, you win there. The healing change was a bit much.
Exhaustion: You try running, get tired, and keep running and see if you stop getting tired. It was unrealistic and unbalanced.
Decisive Strike: The old version was unfair. Plain and simple. The new version is still frequently used, it was just (very rightfully) reduced a bit.
Borrowed Time: Is this something to do with Oblivious? Because most Killers still suffer from this.
Mettle of Man: How are you able to defend the old version of this perk? It was a broken, overpowering, and unfair perk that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Was it nerfed too much? Yes, but it was justified.
Instaheals: Again, how can you defend this? They were unbalanced and should have been changed a long time ago.
Keys: I actually find these somewhat balanced. A few tweaks, to prevent you from hiding the whole game and escaping for doing nothing, and I think they'd be fine.
Pretty much everything you are crying about here was nerfed for a reason. Because it was way too unbalanced.
Oh, and before you call me a biased Killer main

I'm a fifty-fifty player.
Borrowed Time used to affect both survivors, but could only be used once per match. Its not even a nerf, they made it infinite.

As of right now I don't believe there's a way they could have escaped, until the lore is expanded upon with the upcoming updates.
To me, a far worse fate probably came upon them. There's a sub-realm in the Entity's realm known as the "Void", where the souls of survivors who have lost all their hope are stored, now being useless to the Entity. This is a far more realistic ending to them, unfortunately.
However! There's also the chance they're still alive and kicking, still facing off against the Entity's killers. It's confirmed Vigo is still alive (I think it was him at least?) in the Hallowed Blight event's cut-scenes, so its not too far off.
The lore will be heavily expanded upon in the Archives though, so things will get a hella lot more interesting soon...
-
@BadassLaurie its been confirmed that Nurse's blink is a very painful procedure. That's why she shrieks every time she blinks, due to it hurting a hella lot. And then sighs of relief during her Fatigue stun.
-
I think Ghostface would be legendary with a Hallowed Blight cosmetic
-
Now perks like Object of Obsession destroy him PepeHands

Probably my personal favorite is Devour Hope, Infectious Fright, Save the Best for Last, and Rancor. Spirit, if mastered, is one of the few killers who can dominate even if she's perkless, so you have a lot more freedom.
If you get a lucky spawn with Devour Hope, keep racking up stacks. Ignore your obsession for STBFL until they're the last person left (for Rancor). Keep downing until you hit 3 stacks of DH, and when you down people you can find out the locations of others via Infectious Fright, phase to them and insta-down them as well.
If you want, you can take out Rancor for Distressing and play off Infectious Fright even more.
Or, if you want to be really effective, just go for the standard Whispers, BBQ, Ruin, Enduring, Nurse's, or any other meta perks.
-
Is it going to be a competitor to DBD? That's very unlikely. Will it be a fun alternative that might rack up its own small community? That's probably what's gonna happen. DBD is a massive community, I don't think a release of a game like HoD will ever really "compete" with DBD so early on. Maybe in a couple years, who knows. The game looks like a blast, though.
-
Personally the older one felt like a massive crutch. It was unbearable when it was stacked and it was the end of the game. I honestly wouldn't mind it too much if only multiple people didn't run it in one game.
-
Umm... I'm sorry but why am I being tagged in these along with BHVR employees?

he vaults so slow you can actually loop him in certain areas.
Never had that happen to me. Your stain is hidden, so you can do some fun stuff with it.
-
Speaking of which, how does a pallet counter FF? He can jump over them?
-
I know what old Legion played like. I played him for quite a bit back then, and I hated it. It was unhealthy for the game. It took everything you learned as a killer and threw it out the window. You don't need to learn how to counter loops, pallets, track, mindgame, none of that. His power did it all for you, and even then he wasn't even that good.
New Legion has a clear purpose of slowing the game down and controlling health states. The general tactic I use is FF when everyone is healthy and M1 them when they're injured. I've used this tactic at high ranks and it proved some great results. And if they heal, use FF again. FF is a great way to keep everyone injured. Its not cheap anymore because you have to learn normal killer's playstyle to down them.
-
Addons definitely need a rework.

@Andreyu44 said:
Oh,yes,on rank 20-15 he is amazing. Start getting into purple /red ranks and you'll see.
Legion needs buffs,the end.
I've played Legion in red ranks. I'm currently playing him in high purple ranks right now. I think he's perfectly fine the way he is.
-
@Shad03 You too man.
-
@Shad03 Eh, I feel he's in a really great spot atm. His control of survivors health states and pressure through Deep Wounds is enough to completely make him better than your average 4.6m/s killer.
-
@Shad03 I did in fact give Legion's first Feral Frenzy a try for a while. While I do agree it was fun to an extent, there was no real mind game potential. Though, in my opinion I would like the ability to get downs with FF. I really do like his new playstyle, it gives him a purpose of slowing the game down.
-
The downside with Obsession perks is being the obsession. There's so many perks playing around tunneling the obsession. I.E. Rancor, Remember Me, etc. Maybe if you're lucky you'll get a STBFL killer.

spirit is the second strongest killer in the game, in that she breaks the game similarly to how nurse does but is far less mobile and effective, even though she arguably has less counterplay than nurse does aside from running specifically anti-spirit perks like iron will. neither killer is hard to play either, since nurse only requires practice at blinking and you can forego learning anything else about the game, and spirit pretty much just does it all for you as long as you have a good set of headphones
I'd understand the opinion of Spirit being #2, but really? Not hard to play? There's so much more to both killers than just mechanical skill. You have to learn map pressure, mind games, how to be effective at loops, countering counterplay, etc.
-
I understand, definitely.
-
@gantes That's a pretty solid one ngl. I agree for the most part.
-
While I am a firm believer of Billy taking the 2nd spot, Spirit is nowhere near trash tier. Nor a scrub-stomper. She's just good in the same way Nurse is good, without breaking as many boundaries.
-
Surveillance is fun af. I agree.

(proceeds to loop a billy for 5 gens because billy can't use their saw at loops) (Proceeds to loop spirit but they can actually use their power at loops so I get downed way faster)
Billy can use their chainsaw at loops, 100%. I went over this in the post.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Damn, our list are exactly the same. Neat.
-
@I_Eat_Worms Can't wait to see what those rewards are, damn now I'm excited.
-
Autodidact always has been a staple in my surv build, along with Dead Hard and Balanced Landing together. It may not be the most effective, but its sort of my special build. Autodidact also combos well with Spine Chill, so there's also that perk. I don't main survivor so I'm a lot more lenient perk-wise.
-
@I_Eat_Worms I knew about the huge update, but the rest actually sparks a bit of hope the game can survive on its own.
-
@Kiskashi If you ask me, it teaches bad habits. I've personally stopped running it to teach myself to play more aggressively and not rely on a perk to stop gen-rushing for me. Due to Ruin's inconsistency (as in it can be broken anytime), I've basically stopped running it altogether.
-
@Kiskashi If it wasn't for Devour Hope, then Discordance would definitely be my top pick. I've completely replaced Ruin on most of my builds for Discordance. Its weird seeing Ruin, a staple of the killer meta for as long as I can remember, starting to fall out of the meta entirely.
-
Here's how they get punished.
So, first of all, if a killer stays in a hooked person's range for too long, then they will start losing points towards they're Chaser emblem. Not to mention, with the lack of chasing they won't be getting too much anyway.
-
We did get sort of a spiritual successor, Deathgarden (honestly one of my favorite games of all time, too bad it died.)
-
I love this post.
-
Its a wonderful reference to the movie, but I agree completely. Double the stun time than Billy, and LF needs all he can get at this point. I'd like to see it reincorporated in a more balanced way, as its an iconic scene. Maybe they speed it up so its 3 seconds just like Billy? Idk.

Leatherface is what's really broken. He can instadown people on command and he can control his chainsaw easily unlike Hillbilly (who takes tremendous amount of skill) who has to time his chainsaw correctly and has a much harder time controlling it. There's no reason to m1 with LF when you can instadown survivors with m2. Can't believe they left him this broken for so long.
please say sike

IMO the only thing Billy has over Spirit that makes him definitely higher on the tier list is a built in one shot. As good a Spirit you might be, you don't have a built in one shot. They are definitely both in a tier above everyone else though, with Nurse being alone in the tier above them.
EDIT: Made this just now for fun...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/132/AX8K1NN83QKG.png
S tier is Nurse, hands down the strongest in the game.
A tier is Billy and Spirit. Strongest in the game after Nurse. Way above every other killer but still way below Nurse. For the most part, killers in S and A tier can just power through survivor meta perks.
B tier is Huntress, Hag, Myers. These are the most "balanced" killers IMO. They are very strong but have some glaring weaknesses and can fall victim to bad RNG or really good survivor groups. All killers this tier and up have very strong snowball potential.
C tier is Clown, Pig, Trapper, and Plague. Clown is one of the strongest in a chase, but that's really all he has going for him. Pig has a good mix of abilities. Trapper and Plague are really strong but very reliant on survivors making mistakes. However when they do, these 2 killers can snowball very hard, similar to B tier killers.
D tier killers aren't exactly BAD killers but they have a few big weaknesses that are hard to overcome. Old Legion would have been higher, probably B tier, but new Legion is definitely weaker overall. He is right below Plague and the only reason she's not in this tier with him is because of how powerful Corrupt Purge is. Doc can slow the game and find survivors easy, but has nothing to really help in a chase, and his power is almost useless against good survivors (though IMO he is still the most annoying killer to face, even if he isn't hard to beat). Wraith has stealth and speed, but not much else.
F tier are the "bad" killers. LF has nothing but a multi-one-shot, and this is the only reason he's not on the bottom (because if he catches someone he can guarantee a kill). Freddy is obviously the weakest, however with the right build he is still a formidable killer. But he is so build/add-on dependent that it drops his tier ranking, on top of the fact that he can't do anything for a short time after he approaches you. Meta perks like Adren, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, and Self Care hurt him more than any other killer.
Very solid tier list, I agree for the most part.

If they nerfed her they should have compensated her with at least a buff, its ridiculous how underpowered she currently is
If they nerfed her traps, a buff for her ambush would've been awesome. It feels so underwhelming.

However touting these North Canadians are of their sound engineering, I 'aven't a blithering clue as to what they are referring too.
The chase music is especially bothersome in intensity; making moot of all what will if a survivor is running 5 feet in tandem. What's the bloody point of "atmospheric quality" is the killer is effectively rendered deaf.
I agree completely. I wish they would have an option to disable chase music. I've been listening to almost the same music for 3 years, a disabling feature would be a lifesaver. It would also open up more opportunity for Killers to perform well, as they would learn to use sound to their advantage as much as possible. Listening out for things like breathing and footsteps can really separate a good killer from a mediocre one, but its so hard to take advantage of these when you have things like your own footsteps, your own breathing, and loud blaring chase music.
