Activateable sprint burst would just make all other exhaustion perks useless.
-
I'ts been stated multiple times that luck does not affect chests. Luck only affect self-unhook chance.
-
What logic? They want to bridge the gap between the 2 roles so they receive equal amounts of bloodpoints per match.
-
You shouldn't earn a single pip if you're using a mori imo. Same with keys :p
-
Wonder if people will have to get his teachables now.
-
Will the new Freddy be available in the mid-chapter patch?

The killer was slightly beyond the range of Head On as you jumped out of the locker. It checks to see if you stunned them the instant you press the button. This is something that's a little tricky to work with even if you do master Head On-ing. We're looking into it and seeing how we could improve it so it works more like how people expect it.
@Peanits I've been saying this since the perk came out. Make Head On trigger every time you exit a locker and check if the killer enters the stun zone and stun them immediately instead of when the animation finishes. Would make the perk more consistent and maybe even worth using.
-
I think the addons might be 2 function. They have both an effect if you use dream pallets or snares.
I still think it would be wiser to make Freddy able to change his power from the loadout tab to be either one. Some missed potential on add-on combos if you can only use one if you want to use dream pallets.
-
Only perk I can see working is tinkerer but it's only 12 seconds and the deep wounds timer is 30 seconds so the perk would have to activate 3 times for you to down one survivor.
I think it's fine.
-
@NuclearBurrito This kind of "standoff" has been in the game forever, only difference is that the killer can no longer win it. If the hatch is closed it means that there are more than 1 survivor left or that the killer has closed the hatch, thus starting the egc timer.
BHVR should really take a look at existing items, addons and offerings. I can't even understand how moris and keys (opening the hatch mechanic) still exist in the game after 3 whole years.
-
I think it's a good buff. It honestly didn't makes sense that survivor could know if the huntress was coming from 40m away and exactly which direction she came from considering that killers moving at a speed of 4.4m/s usually have a terror radius of 24m. Survivor could easily take advantage of the directional lullaby and loop around a big building and if the huntress decided to double back it wouldn't matter as the survivor could instantly know that she switched directions.

@TheBean Like when Wraith's uncommon add-on went to ultra-rare :D I had tons of em but sadly wasn't p3 yet so didn't get to keep em ;_;

Hard counters for everything is terrible for gameplay. It promotes only 1 way of gameplay. Soft counters, in this example gen tapping, spine etc. are perfect for game balance. They offer an option but also promote and encourage skillful gameplay as they are not completely the answer but in how you use them. Relying totally on nerfs and hard counters will not grow you as a player or as a survivor. It will only water down the gameplay so much that this game will be reduced to spreadsheets as is the current state of games like Overwatch.
Saying that taking a perk isn't worth something as well shows that you have gotten used to using a particular set of perks as well. You are given the opportunity to take Iron Will, for example, one game but you may find its Spirit next game and then you wished you had taken it in hindsight. Making your builds flexible is a great way to be prepared for any situation. Not knowing what your up against is part of the game as well and another aspect which promotes skillful gameplay.
Beads while strong, can be countered to a degree as you can still here foot steps, see grass move, and birds fly, Gen Tap, Premo, Spine Chill and just being alert. Given this would be harder to detect on a map like Lery's, but every map is stronger for either side in one way or another.
Relying on Prayer Beads to get undeserved gen grabs also doesn't make you a better Killer. Even if you're gen tapping, you're still giving the Spirit a free hit and if you're not using Iron Will it means you'll get downed fairly quickly. Premonition also only triggers once every x seconds and often only gives false positives while looking around causing you to run away from the gen and only wasting time. Hearing footsteps over the sounds of the generator also isn't reliable and the Spirit doesn't move grass while phasing.
It is just a cheap add-on that makes the game too easy for her and unfair as well as unfun for survivors. It doesn't feel rewarding getting a grab that a survivor had no idea was coming and it doesn't feel good to get grabbed when you know there was near nothing you could've done to avoid it.
-
The perk is so powerful it's worth the risk.
-
Without Iron Will, you're done for. Even with Iron Will, it becomes a coin toss in favor of The Spirit.
-
@Tsulan And Trapper, Wraith, Pig, etc has to hit them twice without FF :P
-
Because getting a hit in FF is still one less health state for survivors. There needs to be some counterplay to the power.
-
A god pallet is just a pallet that can not be mindgamed. Mostly just the shack pallet but there are others, like near The Game's basement.
-
My proposed changes to ds would be:
- It no longer activates on self unhook. There are situations where survivors intentionally use deliverance in combination with ds to continue a chase without needing another survivor to get off a generator.
- Decisive strike deactivates whenever the killer hooks another survivor. As an anti tunnel perk, it doesn't make much sense as to why the perk stays active if the killer isn't tunneling so let's not keep it active.
- Reduce the stun time back to 3 or 4 seconds. The only reason the stun time was changed to 5 seconds was enduring shortening the stun too much. Now that enduring has been changed to only affect pallets, there is no reason to keep the stun time 5 seconds.
My thoughts on ds, I'm a little bit on the edge about the 3rd change. I'm all for tunnelers being punished but 5 seconds is a pretty long stun.
-
Just make it a base mechanic that if a survivor drops shack pallet they'll receive 50% less bp from the match :)

They announced there would be bans for anyone abusing the Legion bug, so it makes sense that they would do the same here.
We'll see how it goes.
The devs can detect when you use a particular perk all of a sudden. Something to think about.
They don't need to announce anything if they don't want to. Abusing exploits on purpose is against the rules. Announcing it would just help those who are using the perk (doubt anyone is unless they're doing adept or random perks) and are unaware of it's bugged state.
-
Do you really want to risk getting banned to gain an advantage for a couple of weeks, tops.
Also considering how they reacted to Legion blades bug then yes, you might be banned.
-
@Gardenia said:
Agreed, they rushed and panicked and the fixes they gave him are beyond subpar with little thought to how it would synergize with his power. The add-ons are terrible, there's no need to be so SLOW in FF.
How did they rush and panic? Legion remained the unfun killer he was for almost 6 months. Legion is far from terrible. There are way worse killers than him atm so rather than focus on Legion that just got reworked, we should look at other killers and how they can be improved.
-
So developers shouldn't balance their games?
Also if you bought the Ash dlc and thought that MoM wouldn't be nerfed after many people complained about it even before the PTB then it's your own fault for buying the dlc :P
-
I think hatch interrupts should be a thing whenever someone opens the hatch with a key. I've had plenty of times where I've been chasing a survivor and they just happen to run to the hatch and just jump in.
-
Ruin is required on most killers due to their lack of map presence. There isn't just one thing the devs have to do to fix "genrush".
The devs already know this but it really just seems like they're trying to ignore it, releasing new chapters with the hope of people sticking around without fixing the core issues of the game.
This won't work for 5 more years, something has to be done.
-
If BHVR had a 5 year plan to keep supporting this game then I would say it will probably come to the next generation of consoles.
-
@AetherBytes said:
Just sneak up behind them, then rush hatch from behind them. You'll catch them off guard and gain priority.
The killer can just stand on top of the hatch and deny the prompt from even appearing.
-
What's the problem here?
-
@Theluckyboi said:
Killers also their fair share of broken add-ons, i dont want to be the one to make the comparisons but well...
@Theluckyboi Doesn't mean those need to be reworked as well :p
Mint rag also isn't great as it limits how often you can teleport
You also forgot to add moris and keys to the list.
-
OoO just hard counters so many killers it's not even funny. Most games I don't even want to play whenever I see the survivors aura at the beginning of the match.
Nevermind how much information it gives to players in swf...
-
Well... Blind running teammates are a distraction as well.
-
@Jdsgames Yeah, I've had some survivors with meta build but swapping one of the perks for Wake up. So sad that it has to be during the anniversary event.
-
Survivors do also dc for puddings or black wards as well so the offering screen should just be disabled.
-
My proposal is that keys can no longer open hatch and that moris get reworked. Both are really op for what they are and can change the tide of the game in a matter of seconds.
-
I checked my mail and saw something titled Dead By Daylight but it was just a notification from the forums :D
-
You can use the offerings after the event ends. I can't find the info when the event ends but iirc it was early next month.

It does also extend queue times for people playing killer, to be fair. Generally when there's double bloodpoints (or a bunch of bloodpoint offerings flying around), people switch to killer to maximize their bloodpoint gains. It ends up being counterproductive in the end since so many people are queuing as killer so there's not enough survivors to fill their lobbies, making them wait around for 10-20 minutes (sometimes more). They would be better off switching to survivor and getting double the games in the same amount of time, even if they earn a little less per game.
But it is understandable. Some people do not care about the points and just want to play the game.
This could all be fixed if only survivors got bp like killers do :P
-
I'd keep the prestige clothing only for prestige. Prestige clothing should require some sort of dedication to a character (although that isn't true atm with the double bp and event lol).
-
@Bongbingbing said:
My guess is this is intentional, with other events they made sure that event offerings appeared in every single bloodweb but with this event since it envolves blood points I guess they didn't want people earning too much or stockpiling the cakes, It's a shame.
This only happens on survivor. Probably because the firecrackers are more common than the offering. They're not doing this intentionally as I have 54 on my wraith and over 20 on Legion, Ghostface and Freddy
-
It's because you're only getting the firecrackers. Killers don't have this problem since they can only get the Gateau.
-
54 on my wraith :P just dumped my excess bp on him while I was prestiging ghostface. Now I'm getting some on Freddy so I can use them when his rework comes out.
-
It honestly feels like 50% of the time I get one in brown mystery boxes, sometimes in yellow. Never gotten any in green ones and up.
-
@Peanits When will we know the winners?
-
@Peanits How actively? Do you think there will be progress this year?
-

Does it stack with resilience? If so, gonna run wake up, resilience, prove thyself and no mither. Lol
tbh I wouldn't risk it, they were banning Legion players for using the mend time addons.
Wouldn't be surprised if people get hit with a temp ban for using wake up :P

lul,you are brave to ask for a killer nerf in these forums.
Your PoV is understable and has logic behind it,but God forbid you could slightly nerf a killer.
Slightly
You mean completely destroy his ability to be somewhat competitive?

It's a visual bug on all perks with tokens. They all visually only stack up to 3.
