Horvath is a funny guy. McLean as well :)

I personally prefer dbd with I see where you're coming from. There's just something about dbd's atmosphere that I love.
-
@Victory ...except for the weekly threads that ask "how to get legacy"
-
Offerings screen should only be after loading into the game so if players DC they DC from the game and get "penalized" (at least when dedicated servers hit).
-
@TheGameZpro3 Ok so how do effectively counter MoM as Freddy while maintaining map pressure?
-
@Victory They said they are avoiding exclusives. That's why the Halloween and Chinese New Year cosmetics can still be purchased.
I hope they don't go down the exclusivity path again. Discourages new players when they know they can't get a specific cosmetics they might like.
-
We don't know how the power works yet. Maybe the blood won't instantly start spilling like a fire hose and instead build up slowly. Also things can change. Nothing is set in stone yet. Wait for the ptb before you start shitting on the developers because I'm sure you can do that in a couple of months.
-
This isn't really fair for the killer since they don't even know they have to defend the hatch as well now and since you can't even grab people jumping in the hatch anymore it's pretty much gg if there is one unopened chest on the map.
I would instead change it to something like this
If you are the last person remaining in the trial, for each generator completed, gain a 10% bonus to gate opening speed.
It's much more fair since if the killer still has opportunity to defend the gates but it also gives the survivor a small buff which can be the difference between life and death. The perk would also work if all other players have escaped meaning you would open the other gate 1.5x faster.
-
The old solution was not working. It was very unsatisfying as a killer to find the hatch first but know you're probably screwed. On the other hand it was very frustrating as a survivor if the killer left you on the ground while they tried to find the last survivor so they wouldn't get the hatch.
Also if one or two killer can protect both gates it isn't a widespread problem.
-
I'll wait and see for the ptb before I judge him.
-
No thanks, not before they change how keys interact with the hatch.
-
Why the misses happen with "auto-aim" is because whenever a survivor enters your "hit zone" it won't immediately damage the survivor but will instead rotate your camera to face them (probably to make the hit look better?). Because the hit only happens after a slight delay it can cause killers to miss attacks, particularly on corners.
-
@MrDardon I'd say it's more of an oversight. Both BT and Feral Frenzy do apply the same effect on survivors and since Legion got changed it meant that the achievement also had to be changed, accidentally making it possible to do on any killer.
-
@No_Cluie_Louis Do you have any sources to back up your claim?

@PolarBear love the name btw, but is it the unhooked's fault because he got farmed? It's unfair to blame them for getting farmed.
@Poweas Every killer also doesn't have an instadown so we can't think of that as baseline. If we assume the unhooked farms the player, the killer will need to hit the unhooker, hook them and then chase after the survivor who got unhooked. This already gives the survivor a huge headstart.
The survivors are a team. If one screws up, it hurts the whole team.

@WaffleFalafel "...the rift is not permanent, it's something temporary." "...and in the rift, the player will be able to unlock more cosmetics"
I don't know how you think it won't be a 3 month battlepass.
The tones are the lore stuff and the rift is the cosmetic stuff. There might also be cosmetics in the tones baseline but that wasn't specified.

It is separate to an extent. The Rift is what the focus point of the tones are, so they provide cosmetics based on whatever lore is also being revealed in the Rift. The paid version of this pass does have more cosmetics, although that is optional as explained above, and would be still be available for purchase after the Rift was already changed for the next chapter. What's similar between the Rift and the tones is that all of the rewards are linked to the quests of the tone, so the tones themselves are what gives you the cosmetics. This means that the "Battlepasses" of every chapter can be still progressed after the Rift switches to a different part of the story, and is what separates them from Fortnite or Apex as they are products that allow you to obtain your rewards at any pace, much like leveling a character that you would buy from a DLC. The content is yours and Behavior will not take that away from you if you didn't redeem all of it's rewards in time.
But they said that the rifts (aka battlepass) that provide players with cosmetics are not permanent. The only said that the tones (the quests that reveal lore?) are permanent so it is just a 3 month battlepass system.

@Condorloco_26 What if you downed the 'unhooker' right after they unhooked with an instadown killer like Billy and instantly downed the 'unhooked' from some instacooldown.
Then you hook the 'unhooker' and then the 'unhookeds' DS is gone because of your nerf idea? You tunnelled him and exploited a way to remove his second chance.
Your idea would work and I would have agreed with if it, if it wasn't so abusable.
That's just the survivors fault for farming their teammate right in front of the killer.
-
Why do people find the need to even say that specific content creators name in chat?
-
I have a drinking game idea. Whenever you feel thirsty, drink a glass of water. You're welcome :)
-
Would you explain to us WHY you decided to bother this perk?
Straight from Peanits. The 3rd point is relevant.
-
@Entità Scratch marks is pretty valuable information for the killer though. On certain maps you can get some pretty good distance just by hiding your scratch marks for 3 seconds. Now combined with Lithe you can almost guarantee escaping from any chase if you can find a suitable window for it.
-
Only time I'm
happyokay playing on haddonfun is if I'm playing trapper. No way for survivors to disarm the traps on the balcony without 2 people and even then it can be risky if the killer is nearby. -
The perk can already get you out of a chase if combined with Lithe. Would make playing killer a nightmare if Dance With Me activated multiple times in a chase.
-
It's hard to find survivors cause you can kill them immediately after you down them. I can't tell you if it's worth to buy it. Play now during the free weekend and see if you like it.
-
Best you can do is report them if they are really harassing you.
The reason there won't ever be a way for players to affect matchmaking is that it would be abused. If you face a difficult opponent don't worry, just avoid them and never get matched up with them again. In addition to it making the players games easier it makes the opponents queue times longer as well. A good player would suddenly have really long queue times due to people blocking him because they lost against him.

If anyone is questioning if what @NMCKE is true, here is the link to the thread where Peanits said that https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57371/is-getting-on-top-of-pallets-intended-bannable-map-allows-it

wow ok yes that is right but its not for me with only that thinking. for me it is to farm stuff and the thought that i would like to support behaviour with my money so we all can get more out of the game like more licensed chapters.
@Timtom24 I thought they added the store so people can buy cosmetics to support BHVR if they want to. Exploiting people subconsciously is not the path I want BHVR to take.

You expect games to keep going with no money coming in? Come on, you have to be trying to be that dumb.
@ScoopskiPotatoes So what happens to the money that we spend on chapters? It just vanishes? How about the store where people buy cosmetics?
-
Gonna try out Deathgarden today. Hope the game has more success after the rebranding.
-
@Madjura Those are very minor clipping issues that can be fixed pretty easily. What we are talking about is making 2 random pieces of cosmetics always combining seamlessly requiring extra work every time they decide to add another cosmetic as that cosmetic will always need to combine with the original cosmetic piece.

When you let go of the mentality that "I have to kill all 4 survivors to win" your experience will become a lot less stressful. I'm devotion 5 and I mostly go for bloodpoints and if I score over 20-25k, even if survivors escape I'm happy.
-
Where's my artsy Jane PepeHands
-
@Hoodedfengm1n You are suggesting it is faster than other killer so why should I have to go and test it myself? I'm not gonna go around testing everything I see on the forums and don't think anyone else will either.
-
You got something to back this up?
-
And what would stop a survivor who has been most recently unhooked from bodyblocking the killer every chance they get? What if the survivor has no mither? Let them get up or pick them up and suffer a 5 second stun and let them get up for free? This can be so easily abused by smart survivors since they are practically immune until someone else is hooked.
-
That's just latency dude. The survivor reacted and let go of the generator.
-
Can we assume that Ghostface and Ash will replace one chapter or will there be a new chapter coming soon? @Peanits
-
@Bbbrian2013 Still doubt that they'll say anything until they've done a full reveal.
-
@Bbbrian2013 If you watch the trailer till the very end you can actually read that the full reveal is on the 31st
-
How about you make the other offerings that only increase one category better? *wink wink* @Peanits
-
Just commenting before this gets closed

They probably think about the PC version first and then console and they probably don't want to split the game into two different versions between PC and console. I don't play console dbd so I don't know how bad it is.
-
Teleport distance is by far the best. On bigger maps you can't trap the other side of the map at all since you can never teleport there just because you are too far away.
You can also use trap trigger range addons so survivors have to crouch longer when they are rescuing others from hooks.
-
I doubt the devs will give us any kind of "legacy 2.0". If they ever revamped the bloodweb and ease the grind I'd want them to somehow compensate players who played before that but I don't think it's gonna happen.
-
imo if someone DCs during the match it should play the same animation that happens in the egc if time runs out and it should count as a normal sacrifice. You get the sacrifice points and it activates any perks that would activate when you hook someone(BBQ, huntress lullaby, blood warden and pop goes the weasel)
-
I'd personally just buy a cosmetic rather than buy the possibility to unlock it if I decide to play enough.
-
0 or 1 gens done shouldn't be default(20s) time imo. Before egc the hatch only spawned after 2 gens were done so it would make sense that only then would the gate have the default time.
