Maybe Im alone in the world, but I just love the Curtain Call main menu music and I never get sick of it. :P

Still a better theory than the one of the portrait with Freddy's marks.

Well, to be fair, the Syringe isnt a fair comparison considering they have stated all instant stuff is something they wish to change.jiminie said:@jmaximo93 said:
It's 15%, not 25%. I don't agree that it should lose it's ultra rare status but I do think it should be buffed to 20%. Granted, hitting a skill check on PS4 is more challenging than on PC so maybe it only needs a buff on PS4.What's the point of it being an Ultra Rare?
Compare it to Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe, which heals a downed Survivor instantly, while this doesen't even complete 50% of a gen, there is no way this is still an Ultra Rare -

Really good for a zapping Doctor and stealth-type killers... and still decent for every single killer. Overall, a well rounded perk, in my opinion.

I just love this thread, lol. Keep them coming.

Keys are only really used for the Hatch escape. Few times they are useful for the aura reading. Because of that, Skeleton Keys (red) and Dull Keys (purple) are the same with such mentality. The only one actually different is the Broken Key, which is pretty much useless.

Might be just lighting. I honestly do see the Doctor being black-skinned. Based on his default outfit, unless you are looking at the top of his head... because thats his exposed skull, I believe. I can see the confusion though, because his skin i mostly charred and covered with cables and electrodes anyway.

I disagree with Clown and Leatherface. Clown is one of the most original ones and resonates so well with the character. And Leatherface, the scream at the end is Leatherface's signature.I would say:
1) Clown: The skull cracking makes me feel really disturbed sometimes, extra points for that. The finger sucking is basically his character and really portrays the survivor as an actual victim. And him keeping them as trophies.
2) Hag: Obvious reasons.
3) Doctor: Its especially good while seen from the Survivor's perspective. The Doctor leaving his weapon and charging up his hands and torturing the Survivor to death. And the smoke that comes out of the person's eye sockets at the end, lol.
4) Nurse: That caress and closing the eyes of the deceased at the end is a perfect touch. After that, Leatherface, Spirit, Huntress, Freddy (props for the close-up to his claws at the start though), Pig, Trapper, Michael, Hillbilly, Wraith.
I've never heard the skull crack with Clown, but if it was there or at least more audible, that would make his a better one.
During the PTB, that crack wasnt playing and it was silent. If you havent been moried/moried ever since, that would explain why you arent hearing it.

I think the overall item, offering and add-on acquisition is actually fine the way it is. Perks are maybe the real issue as new ones get introduced, and that could be fixed by having two perks appear per bloodweb if you have unlocked that many.
-
When they introduced the timer to this perk, they wanted to discourage people from camping exit gates with infinite NOED, making it extremely difficult to escape if gates spawned too close to each other. Imagine camping them, and whenever a Survivor appeared you would chase them down and down them in one hit before other survivors could open the gate.
With this in mind, they wanted killers to look for Survivors to actually make use of this perk. While their intention was good, I kind of feel it didnt really work out. Waiting for 2 minutes and then resuming your tasks, didnt seem particularly fun, even though it encouraged stealth play styles.
In any case, then it got changed into a hex. I still feel iffy about this perk, but I guess it does its job nowadays. Even though it was originally (and still is) an endgame perk, it also helps with the overall game. If you get gen rushed, then survivors will have to deal with those consequences.
-
It could work, if the show wasnt such a mound of boiling garbage.

Oh, right. Sorry, lol.

How does The Last of Us 2 compare to DbD? Sure, they are the same genre, but The Last of Us has no re-playability potential. Not saying you cant play it more than once, but they are story-driven games which are just scripted events, without any kind of multiplayer.ZombieGenesis said:With The Last of Us and Hide or Die both coming out in the next 2-3 months I'll be curious to see how it fares with real competition (assuming these games are more successful than F13 was).
These games are extremely popular for the first months, then they drop interest. And even if the game is good, you will only have a certain amount of people playing it from time to time. -
Actually, Doctor and Pig dont have a shack either. Doctor has his office and Pig has a tiny dirty mattress on the corner of a room which drops into the bathroom which is next to the basement. That said, if you look at their cases, you could say their entire map is a "shack" (an entire hospital and an entire factory), meaning they have even better shacks than Myers and anyone else.
Clown has his caravan and a shack, and more when they ever decide to move it around. So, he wins by numbers.
Also,is there a Killer shack in Rin's house? I wasnt on the PTB. -
Well, this isnt about DCing penalties, but I would certainly not mind if a Survivor DCs, they should leave behind, using the spirit's terminology here, a husk for a minute or so. This husk can be interacted with by the killer; hooked and hit. This gets rid of people DCing because they missed their DS or similar. The timer gives enough time for the killer to hook them and get their stacks or whatever else they are after. But its also short enough time so that it only affects those who DC literally in front of the killer.
Not sure how to deal with it for Killers DCing for three reasons. First, it wouldnt be possible from a technical point of view because the host would be DCing. Second, Survivors have longer times to complete their objectives. Third, a match without a threat (the killer) leads to a BP/item farm.
-
Well, the Strode house is technically Michael Myers' house. And he is the killer, so, basically its still the killer "shack" but upgraded. I demand fanart of all killers being jealous of Myers' house.

Give me one Reason to buy this Chapter for Money. Ist only my opinion sry.here is a reason: FREAKIN AWESOME KILLER PERKS
like, all 3 perks of her are sooo good. not a single "meh" or "okay" perk, they are all "good" and "great".I still think those perks are overrated.
spirits fury is a great perk against loops
hex: hounted grounds is a grerat perk in order to protect your real totem (e.g. ruin)
rancor is pretty much the perk which kills noed. it gives you a oneshot and insta mori on one person (tbh, noed doesnt even activate most of the time)Rancor sounds rather decent, but the effect might be unrelevant in case you killed your obsession already. As a aura detection perk it is decent, basically an improved Bitter Murmur.

But those two help with the same thing in different ways and complement each other well. Would Bitter Murmur and Rancor stack? No, Rancor trumps over Bitter Murmur.

Adding onto to the less fun, I imagine tons of survivors would say Clown, Doctor and to a lesser extent Huntress are unfun to play against. Again, just because the way the game was coded, it is horrible at detecting hatchet hits, judging wether a shock was successful, or determining if the survivor in the dead center of the gas cloud should get intoxicated.Understandable with Huntress, but Doctor and Clown are two different stories. People consider Doctor annoying because his power counters stealth (I know, I know, you still can, just making a point), nothing about shocks landing incorrectly. Which, by the way, are very fair, I have never thought to myself "That shock shouldnt have got me". Clown is unfun because... um... is it unfun at all? If anything, he is underplayed, and npot because he is unfun to play as. The range of tonic clouds is very clear and easy to avoid.
-
I know this is about Spirit and, for some reason, Clown. But would the changes made to Wraith on the PTB enough to give him a higher tier? Like better than Leatherface?
-
Killer: "I hate the hatch mechanic."
Other Person: "Then slug the 3rd Survivor and hunt down the 4th."
Killer: "Ok, going to slug..."
Other Person: "Slugging is boring and stupid mechanic" -

Freddy's madness infliction is soo powerful, it inflicts madness on the actual person instead of just the character. No wonder people call him "unfun".
But seriously, Doctor and Freddy have nothing to do with each other. They are just part of the same Killer type; Presence (the other two are Chasers and Outside Chases). If anything, they counter one another.
Also, Spirit has literally nothing to do with Freddy other than invisibility for awake Survivors, and even then it has no real benefit for him, as opposed to Spirit. -
Nyerk off. Pigs will be snorting outside your door next morning.Tzeentchling9 said:Not good enough. Will be forgotten two weeks after release. Just like Pig and Clown. -
The spirit can defend herself if she feels mistreated. Otherwise, those who assume she is being objectified are objectifying her.
-
Tyde and his S Tier Myers, pffft.
-
And no No Mither effect. That idea was discarded ages ago.
-
Then make it 2 minutes, and done. As I said, time can be tweaked. Literally anything is better to what we have right now with hatch standoffs.
And slugging? That is happening right now. Hell, even people who defend the hatch reply that "Dont want hatch? Slug the 3rd Survivor". It doesnt change a thing.
Also...Troylus said:Meanwhile, solo-player survivors will quickly realize that, when a game is going against them, they should quit working on gens at all and just find their safe space near an exit in preparation for the free escape to come.
Sounds familiar, doesnt it? Replace "an exit" with hatch. -
Well, you could say Jason is permanently on vacation now. :P
-
That is what I said. Hatch would only be a problem of the Survivor has a key. The point of this endgame is to end it quickly while making it fair for both sides. Hatch wont open at all, most likely. Force the Survivors to actually engage in a chase, meaning they have earned their escape as opposed to not having done anything during the match and then getting the hatch.Troylus said:-Snip-
I still prefer this setting over any hatch-related ideas, honestly, including the one you posted. Continously respawning the hatch somewhere else is significantly less interesting than a chase against time.
Or, yes, just open the hatch when the timer runs out.Tzeentchling9 said:So even more reason to play Nurse, Hillbilly, and possibly a one hit killer because Survivors can cross half the map when hit?
Top tier killers will have the upper hand and will always be preferred whether they introduced this endgame idea or not. The time left until the gate opens can be tweaked, but if your max speed is 110%, 115% or 200%, you will always at least begin the chase. -
Its still early to tell, but playing against Freddy seems to be about two different playstyles/strategy; remaining in the Dream World rather than woke making Freddy stronger, or remaining awake and exposing yourself to impossible stealth.
The point here is that if you suspect Freddy has Rancor (you have PLENTY of notices beforehand), you act accordingly. For example, dont leave Dream World. There you go, perfect counter and the same scenario you will find with this perk on any other killer. If you get caught, it would be 100% your doing anyway, not a "deadly combination". Perks will always work better with certain killers, and always will. -
Who cares about chests and butts? I am all for that belly jiggling on the Clown. 😳
-
...Is it really your desire to enter a dead girl's room in the middle of the night? To steal panties?
-
The one idea I dislike from this is how you are swapping his terror radius with his lullaby and vice versa, but only because it just doesnt fit. The lullaby is meant to be "Freddy is coming", not "Freddy is right next to you" (thats what the heartbeat is for). I havent watched the movies in ages, but that is how I remember it was set up.

His backstory is interesting. He grew out of hard work, overcoming every situation he encountered. He was about to reach his dreams; stable normal life. He will confront the biggest hardship; life and death, over and over again.
Its quite depressing actually. The message it conveys basically is that no matter how hard you work, in the Entity's realm, it doesn't matter. No fruit for your effort, a strong antithesis to his mortal life.

Correct. The perk adds 2 hex totems to the match (lights 2 additional ones on the map), along with other hex perks you equipped It works best with hex perks whose effects are easily noticeable by Survivors (Lullaby and Ruin). But it also works as bait if Survivors just stumble upon them.
After being cleansed, the Haunted Grounds totems become dull. So, less chances to "conflict" with TotH and maybe NOED. -
Did you read the perk's description? I mean, If games last only one minute...PinkEricka said:

Only thing I am wondering is why out of all of the killers with long range attacks, why doesn’t the Clown have a slower speed?Clown cant have lower movement speed for two reasons.
Firstly, his power is all about the survivors' movement speed, unlike any other killer. Because of that, he has to bend the rules/conventions for it to be viable. Otherwise, you would have a simple M1 killer that can slow Survivors down, but not enough to catch them. Maybe they could decrease his speed, but only as long as his tonic is buffed as well, such as longer duration and/or increased movement speed reduction. That would be similar to our current Clown, but with longer chases.
Secondly, his projectiles do not harm Survivors. they do cripple them, but not direct harm. That is the biggest difference between him and Huntress. Also, the hatchets rely on precision, and dodging them becomes increasingly difficult the closer she is. Then you have Clown, whose tonics are AoEs. Precision is not important for him, and whether he is 10m or 15m away from you, its irrelevant, because tonics are used to herd Survivors in a specific path (and other uses, but generally its that). From this, basically, I am trying to say he shouldnt get his speed reduced because there is no reason for that, if you catch what I am trying to say (I had trouble putting it into words).
A valid point would be saying "That extra 5% makes him more dangerous", and that is true. However, his power isnt strong enough to be a "carry" like it is for Hag, Nurse and Huntress. Unlike them, Clown has collision and, as I said before, cant harm them from afar.
-
