My life is pretty boring. I do have several small stories to share at least.
1) Back when I was a baby, my parents were trying to make me take my first steps. They tried a lot times. It was only after they placed a cookie jar on the other side of the room, after which I sprung up and walked to it.
2) I was always the introvert bookworm type. We were on a field trip, everyone was playing around. I grabbed my Divine Comedy and a teacher approached to me. "Isnt that a bit too advanced for you?", she asked. I told her no, and we began discussing it. I left a good impression, as she was left astonished. Years later, I got her as literature teacher in high school. She presented this same book as our next topic. She did remember me, and got 100% after that.
3) We had two kittens once, siblings. One female, the other one male. Then they grew up. We realised the female kitten... Uhm, "hit puberty". That cat would always be remembered with a special name I cant share. :P -
Except thats not her mouth cut. Its her skin completely ripped out of her face, only showing her skull. :Ppandorayr said:@ChesterTheMolester said:
Let me copy what i wrote on the other thread.Kuchisake-onna
Its based on some japanese folklore about a ghoulish woman who was mutilated by her husband with a glasgow smile who now randomly approaches victims and asks them if shes pretty, if they say yes she will give them a similar scar, if they say no she will kill them with sharp weapons.
She hides her scars and distorted mouth using a surgical mask. Feng has a cosmetic with a surgical mask and Trappers smile on it (I know shes chinese but still the only female asian in the game).

Well, but Japanese school is way more likely to get a schoolgirl ghost. Its the trope and what almost everyone relates it to (or a janitor/caretaker). Usually Teachers are the bad guys who created the ghost and die at the end, or just the legend tellers.pandorayr said:@PigNRun said:

Why would a Japanese setting guarantee a teacher killer? If anything, it kind of rules it out.
the picture appears on the school map, I understand you have doubts but the scratch was not there before.
this image is from long time ago
Also, still way too early to tell if its a school or not. To me, it looks more like a Japanese temple/house because of the background behind the door.
Edit:
Also, why do scratches imply a teacher? Just shows the killer has claws/sharp weapons. -

Fire Up is just that. A perk with pretty petty values. It works on very specific builds.

As if the Exhaustion changes werent deafening already. :PHillbilly420 said:Because if they nerfed DS along with the pallet vacuum change and the exhaustion perks changes all at once then the bitching would be absolutely deafening.

In my opinion, at least in its current state, the hatch should be available when 2 Generators are left, instead of 3. The standard for education is that if you get more than half of a test right, you pass. So, why not? :P

I am going to flag this post, just because I dont wish to donate to your pool of Awesomes.

I swear I saw people with the Kate portrait. @Peanits at some point?

( ͡° ͜ʖ├┬┴┬Peanits said:I don't really think the red stain makes a difference (*!). By the time you see it, it's already too late.
But its not about catching Survivors off-guard and grabbing them from a generator. Its about being on two different sides of a spot with an obstacle in between that breaks line of sight. With the help of the red stain, juking is more difficult for the killer because the survivor can tell where the killer is looking at (and walking to).
A strategy people use is turn around, run backwards and hopefully catch the survivors with a hit because they didnt see the red stain. -

I love the red suit for Doctor. :P And the baseball bat. Ready to break some skulls.

But its an offering, an offering is always used as soon as you load into the match, whether you use it or not. What about killers who bring a mori and they dont use it? Or use a coin for an extra chest and you dont search chests at all? Or use a luck offering and not get hooked/no chance to attempt escape from hook?Psychic1337 said:I know this post is a little old but I just feel like if you used white ward but you die without a item in your hand then you get white ward back -
I am one of those who doesnt care who created the idea, separating the artist from its art. The reason I wouldnt like Jeepers Creepers is because the movies were ######### and its not nearly as iconic as the licensed killers we had and could have (Pig would be the exception to this rule, but its supposed to reference Jigsaw, who is much easier to recognise).

Can I say I came to this thread because I misread the title. I thought it was "Neverending Story - The DLC", and assumed someone was suggesting taking a character from that really old movie and askkng them to get added to the game (which would be ridiculous).
Anyway, there is one other type of DC that I find annoying Those who DC because they want to keep their item. Thats pretty much an exploit and seen it happen quite frequently. -
Its hidden in the source code of one of the websites. Go look for it.

Best spot of all: Glitched between a rock and a tree making it impossible to be interacted with.

I only check forums occasionally when I am bored during class. Am I qualified?

It is indeed horror just for the fact that it generates a tense environment (I mean the frightful tense type, not the other one). Thing is, very few games will keep scaring you repeatedly the more you play it. The sense of fear is lost because, as human, you adapt to that setting (incoming Survivor main joke).
For example, play Amnesia TDD several times, you will memorise the events that take place. Areas like the Sewers, Prison, Archives, etc (except for Choir, that one always terrified me to death), will become just simple hallways. While DBD has not that kind of predictability, I feel its a good example. The more you get chased, the more you experience with the killer, the less scared you will feel.
Back when I started playing, I admit chases scared me a lot. Same as new survivors will probably run away as soon as they hear the heartbeat. The tension is still there for me, but it happens less often. -
Are you going to complain about "Hook Vacuum" next?
-
Reroll to another character. :P If you want cutesy stuff, roll Feng Min.

Fair enough for the Hillbilly, but, about Wraith, you could say the same thing for every single killer. Wraith spent his life under daylight, but he spent his killer life phasing between the Spirit World and the normal plane.BLUE_APE said:But Billy spent his life trapped in a basement, and wraith spent his in broad daylight.

I would remove Self Care and give everyone with that perk 10 "Baby's First Medical Kit" with the same effects. Once they run out of them... done.
<jk, obviously> -
Well, I suppose the Spirit World the Wraith has access to is all darkness, just because Survivors can flashlight him out of it. As for Lightborn, I dont know; farmers spend a lot of time outdoors. :P
-
Oh, no! A killer using a perk that has been called a "must have" to make the game last a bit longer and that can be removed! And a perk that forces a skillcheck once! And, worse, kicking a generator, a feature added to the game intentionally, much like sabotaging hooks! The toxicity from this killer, oh my, worse than a nuclear fallout.Outland said:Mostly because of Killers running, RUIN and Overcharge, and Kicking Event gens. Toxic builds meant to screw over the Survivors event. This is why people want to retaliate.
-
A "bond" doesnt necessarily mean an "emotional bond". It can also just be respect, which goes beyond the emotional closeness which you can have.
-
Then dont do generators too fast. Its really simple. :PRuniver said:@PigNRun said:
Well, and if the killer is hard camping, what is stopping survivors from doing both totems and generators? Plenty enough time for everything. You cannot do it if he catches someone early, especially if he has Ruin.
5 totems + 5 gens is just not doable within' 2mins as 3 players.
Sucks if you are caught first, but if its a bad killer, it was just luck the first time, and he wont down any other survivors before generators are done and all totems cleansed. If its a good killer, he will down others and deserves the kills.
If NOED is the cause of your demise, its only because Survivors took the risk and failed. -
If you can chase someone completely backwards you deserve to down them 100%.BigBadPiggy said:The only thing I see wrong with Restless Spirit is that it would also give killers who are already fast AF (Clown) a pretty major advantage. All the killer would have to do is chase the survivors backwards. if they chase them backwards the chase sequence will not initiate giving the killer a big speed boost at the small cost of not being able to see where the survivors are going. other than that I think it would be a great idea.
-
First of all, Mori offerings were around back when games did not take very few minutes. Whether they slow down or speed up the game nowadays, they were not implemented with whatever balance we have right now in mind.
Second, a Mori slows down the game. Games are so short because Survivors do generators (or they do something stupidly overaltruistic). By taking out a survivor early, you slow down the completion of generators by there being one less survivor. -

/10chars -
Yes, top three are definitely Myers, Trapper and Huntress. Hag isnt too far behind, honestly.
-
Good. Maybe people will stop mentioning on every single post.
-
Well, and if the killer is hard camping, what is stopping survivors from doing both totems and generators? Plenty enough time for everything.Runiver said:The point of NOED is to punish genrushing.
And yes, genrushing can happens even if you don't camp.
The main issue with NOED is, if a survivor gets caught early and hardcamped, the killer can easily earn 2 kills by usually grabbing another one with NOED as the gates are getting opened. This scenario is indeed, rather annoying and problematic, and should be looked.
About DS : it's bad in every single scenarios. It's just unfun and poorly designed.

A snowy map is possible. I picture the roof of Lery's, as a second map for that realm.
-
Considering the game's name is Dead by Daylight, I am guessing if they add this map, all survivors will spawn already on hooks, giving the killer a merciless victory...
I am so in. 👌 -
Was I the only one reading it like this?
"If you take a flashlight, thats a paddlin'.Too many items, thats a paddlin'." -
If you are considering conditionals, then it could also be Make Your Choice being triggered when unhooked, or technically the Trapper using the Honing Stone add-on. :P
-
Trapper has the same basic speed as others. The only ones who have slower movement speed are the ones that ignore range. Hag and Nurse teleport, and Huntress has projectiles.Nos37 said:If the Trapper started with all traps in hand, then surely he wouldn't need the faster movement speed at all times; only for ~10 seconds after a survivor has been trapped so he can try to get to them.
-
Stake Out though, perfect counter for Ruin if you are bad at Greats.
-
Maybe they are implying that survivors will eventually die cuz bad and the last one will use the map to find the hatch.Milo said:So why is rainbow map a problem?
-
I sincerely believe that if the built in Kindred makes it to live, or even PTB, it will only be the aura reading for survivors about the killer near the hook, not the other unhooked survivors. And as Peanits said, unless its a boosted radius, very easily exploitable/countered.
-
For Dying Light, cant we just make it so the debuff is applied to everyone permanently after you hook the obsession? It is what you were suggesting, but without overcomplicating the perk. The biggest problem I have with it is that if you just happen to not find the Obsession early on (because RNG, unless you are Freddy), the debuff is potentially useless depending on the generators left.
-
"Too much aura reading" they say.

Because Meg's face is the one that needs to be covered the most.

I just find it hilarious that people would say "Bloodlust is USELESS", then it gets reworked and others start yelling "GIVE IT BACK". Typical split community.

Basically, you modified the generator to fire a signal when it reaches a certain amount of progression. Quite simple.Valtiel_Redfang said:Even the name. What are you exactly "Tinkering" anyway. The Name and image just.. No they don't fit.
