I agree with tge original 3 killers, but I honestly really like the Pig's current mori.
-
Theres new soundtrack?

@Nick
I thought they scrapped out that idea for DS. -
I really hope this pun was intended.FrenziedRoach said:Not saying she's the greatest thing since bacon...

System.out.println("CAMPER!");
System.out.println("HACKER!");
System.out.println("UNINSTALL, "+ slur1);
Post-tutorial chat has to be like that, deeply disappointed otherwise. -
But its THE Freddy. It has to be powerful.
-
Yes, it is going to Switch and it was supposed to be announced during their E3 conference, but Nintendo ran out of time and had to dedicate some time on how to purchase and install Smash Bros.

Its difficult though. I will just list all killers and my thoughts:
Trapper: Weak-ish maybe, unless you are not expecting him. His traps, even in real life, are very visible in most settings except high grass. Granted you will be permanently hindered for much longer compared to in-game.
Billy and Leatherface: Chainsaw is pretty much instant death, very strong. Maybe LF is more effective because of better control. And in real life you will eventually run out of stamina, making it more difficult to escape LF in the long run.
Wraith: Sure, invisibility and all... but weak to any light source. He would only be able to use his ability at night AND dark areas. And his normal attack is just a blunt weapon (unless that thing on the top is a blade). I would say Weak-ish as well.
Nurse: She is undead, can go through stuff and appear anywhere. Maybe vulnerable after a blink, but still. Pretty strong, if the bonesaw was sharp enough.
Myers: This one is hard because it depends on what would count as "not real life" stuff. If he had its full powers, stealth would be in his favour and stalking up to Tier 3 would mean instantly killing whoever he gets to. Strong, but his body doesnt make him look particularly well-built compared to others (unless it is just his model).
Hag: Well, similar to Wraith, since light can screw up her power. But she is difficult to track in certain areas, and has claws. Still, you could probably overwhelm her physically quite easily. Weak-ish.
Doctor: Whoever is near him goes mad, cannot concentrate and suffers of hallucinations. He doesnt even have to land a hit on people to kill them, as enough shocks surely will. Very strong.
Huntress: I would say pretty weak. She has range and axes, but her lack of common sense and intelect make her really vulnerable. Great awareness, but she is just an animal that can be hunted. Weak.
Freddy: A dream demon. Impossible to prove its existence to others and much less expect his attack. His only weakness is him having to be "remembered", which is almost impossible to fight against. Very strong.
Pig: Ability to torture people, beartraps would be even stronger. She could probably even come up with new powers and traps. Still weak in terms of physical strength, but potentially a strong killer.
Clown: If he had to kill people in open world, he would return to his old habits. An already established serial killer, except that police would easily counter it. His potions however, would be insanely powerful. Problem is he is easily countered by gasmasks.
Overall,I believe Doctor and Freddy would be the most powerful ones. Only followed by the chainsaw bros.
And worth noting, if killers were to work together in real life, the ultimate combo would definitely be Pig and Clown. -
Well, the Clown is rather overweighted. Makes sense he cant run just as fast as others.

Sucks to suck.

Quentin-kun. Going to start using Kate maybe, as she is the only likable female survivor for me.

Honestly, anything from Haddonfield onwards maps are really varied (except for Badham that borrows assets from it, but the school is the main point of the map). Honorable mention for Lery's and Meat Plant.
Then we have the original realms, which have the most maps. Maps inside the sane realms HAVE to look similar, but not exactly the same. This is what happens with them honestly. The layout of, for instance, MacMillan Estate changes so much, mostly affecting how you play.
As for the new Chapel map, the deal with the Clown's maps is that "it will visit other realms as well", meaning other realms with a single map will also get circus stuff with another variation of their map. Not the best and usual approach, but they are killing two birds with one stone. Old areas will get more variation and the Clown gets several maps. -
I like how there are so many different and contradicting opinions on this thread. :P

Remember back when Premonition was meta...
-
I have always hated splitscreen, but maybe because the only local multiplayer games I grew up with had all perspectives on the same camera.
-
Honestly, as someone who hasnt watched the movie(s), I feel as the axe does not fit with the whole farm theme (I think he is a gargoyle, but...). Would prefer a harvesting scythe.
-
Good suggestions.
Adept survivor achievements can only be acquired if you escape through the gate. Hatch escapes do not count. -
Hangman's Trick is extremely extremely situational, but I had some nice plays with it months ago.
-
Wonder if this version of Myers will be allergic to DS like the Myers we have...
(because whenever he gets hit by it, his hand "swells".) -
Well, it needed to be updated anyway. Checked it the other week and made no mention of stuff like emblems.
-
I could see Laurie with a pair of glasses, wavey hair and grey top. And Myers being replaced by a single giant hand.
-
Honestly, I dont see why it matters so much. Creative teams can change their minds about something all they want, and a single random question in one random stream nobody seems to remember should not stop them.
-
What if it removed the UI (only for generators left, item held, state of survivors, and own perks) for the ones affected? Or deafened them, preventing from seeing someone getting hooked.
-
Complete random. RNGesus may or may not be in your (or everyone's favour). The only note is that it never includes perks of the latest DLC.
-
Killer backstory, I just love it how it goes from a relatively sane person to the machine we face today.
-
Its never a specific forest or location. The only requirement is being alone, I think.
-
I love the Pretty Woman Leatherface, lol.

A really enjoyable read, honestly. Props for the Black Trail idea.
Also, by "Shake It Off" you mean "Snap out of It"? Just checking. -
Well, likewise, what is stopping a survivor from doing the exact same thing against new killers. Or going on a SWF and have others feed them items, or stealing someone else's item after they died.ThePloopz said:Well what’s stopping a rank 1 killer from farming ultra rares on rank 20 survivors when the rank reset happens because at rank 20, survivors basically give you the 4 man. -
I personally find the hatch changes fair. Sure, faster generator progression would be nice, and all.
Just for the love of The Entity, dont go back to the old hatch standoffs. They are not tests of patience, its just luck during a boring staring contest. If they were not to implement the hatch closing option (which I strongly disagree with), then the least they should do is change it so killers can instantly grab a survivor (not exposed effect, I mean grabbing directly) if they are within range of an open hatch. Survivors only need one click to get away. The killer needs 3 with a reasonable time between them, or an extremely well timed and positioned one.
-
1- Pig and Doctor (I love them both, I refuse to choose)
2- Clown (incredibly satisfying for some reason)
3- Freddy (cool mechanics)
4- Leatherface
5- Hag -
When I read the title I thought about joking about you wanting back the pallet pieces flying across the sky when the killer broke them.
-
I like her hair. Unlike Laurie and her kind of long hair (I guess), this one has physics. Like when you are healing yourself, it properly covers her face, like it would if you crouched facing down. Small detail, but still.
I can see where you are coming from. However, there could be a hidden meaning. The Entity taking the most hopeful person would be a test to break their will much more important than already despairing survivors.YankeeSan said:Her backstory is kinda trash.
"Lookat this girl, isn't she great, everyone loves her then suddenly graphic tentacle kidnapparoo"
Given that the other survivors were abducted due to lack of hope, Kate was taken for No Reason and it doesn't really mesh well with the other survivors' stories or the feel of the game. tl;dr old man yells at cloud because bad lore
There is also that "melancholy(ic), even dark," song. Its not specified whether its the Entity's presence or a small spark of depression inside herself (probably being homesick, or feeling alone travelling across the country). -
Some more:
- I am indecisive about NOED's current state after they made it a Hex that can completely not activate at all. At the same time, the very first version was just a bit OP being unlimited.
- After that Deathgarden alpha, people suggested survivors' auras should be revealed to the killer after a certain amount of time by default. I believe I am against it.
- Would rather play a no camper Speed Limiter Leatherface than a litterally instant chainsaw Hillbilly with turning add-ons and Tinkerer.
- Clown and Nurse mori animations are the best ones. Second one is either Leatherface or Hag. -
Mine:
- I hate using Whispers.
- I prefer Pharmacy over finding someone else and Self Care.
- The Clown's bottle recharge time is fine.
- Lullaby is not useless (except for the notification and instant cleanses) -

Things change and fears of basically everything exist. Such as the fear of doctors and yet we have the Doctor. There is honestly no way to cater to everyone.
Dont you mean they cannot Carter to everyone? Heeey...
...
I will get going now.

Shall we also ask for blood types like any japanese game? :P

JEEEZ
Trapper: Sexy Evan showing some legs.
Wraith: Love the tribal themed one.
Nurse: AMAZING. So varied.
Doctor, Clown and Huntress (Bear Skull), have the creepiest versions. I cannot wait to be chased by these killers wearing these skins. Especially Carter, looking threatening as hell. -
My thirst is high enough to stand such view.

Quentin's swimsuit, please! 😍

Nea can look like a proper serial killer now.

And PrincessCarwash was never seen again. :Pjn5480 said:Just for fun

I like Kate's facial expression on that 4th picture, lol. Still sexy.

I dont see why that would be holding the game hostage. If the killer's ability (player skill, not killer's power) to track survivors is crap or did not bring any tracking perks to make up for that, its on them. And if the survivor refuses to do a generator to reopen the hatch, they are putting themselves under extreme risk of getting found.Totohli said:I can understand that people really want to see a change but for me personally, the hatch isn't a problem at all. The closing mechanic seemed ok, but i can imagine survivors just hiding out somewhere, keeping the game hostage, and making it even longer instead of actually doing something
Having 3 kills as killer is great already, having a psychological battle with another player by simply waiting, just for getting the 4th kill, it just seems so absurd for me.
People can do what they want but i rather just roam around looking for a survivor out in the open and feeling Lucky, than creating a waiting game to see who presses M1 first.
But again, that's just me.
As for this "psychological battle", the presence of the open hatch encourages it. Hatch stand offs come to mind, which is pretty much exactly what closing the hatch is aimed at. -
What about the bottle? A drunktard weeb vampire?
-
I liked the idea someone posted a few days ago (sorry, person, I cant remember you!). Obsession can still escape the killer's grasp, non-Obsessions will stun/slow the killer. Still a viable perk and way less annoying.
Probably would prefer if Obsession had to wiggle out a certain percentage before being able to use it. -
About Wraith's mori, why not lifting the survivor from their head with one hand, and with the other banging their body with his weapon like he does with his bell? He is using his power, technically. :P
