For Doctor, not sure if this is enough to make him top tier, but anything is good for him:
- Decrease his shock therapy charge time.
- Increase his shock range a bit, like at least by 50%.
- Remove charge penalty from his add-ons.
- (Maybe) Make Snap Out of It count as healing again.
-
Again with this discussion. Myers isnt evil. One who doesnt know the difference between good and bad cant be evil, because that is just nature, just like Huntress.
-
For Killer, definitely Clown. All his perks are powerful. I use PGTW on almost every single Killer and it works amazingly.
For Survivor, its more difficult. I use WGLF quite a lot, but only that one from David. Samee deal with Lithe and Feng, BL and Nea and Iron Will and Jake. I guess its either Claudette or Quentin. I use Empathy and Botany Knowledge a lot, as well as Pharmacy and Vigil.
-
Legion needs a "toxic"outfit, like Nurse has.
-
Yes, DS forces an Obsession if there are no other Obsession perks in the match. It will select any of the other 3 Survivors.
-
They should remove Bound Envelopes and replace them with Bloody Party Streamers. I feel left out as Killer when Survivors use those. :<
-
Pharmacy. Does the same thing as SC, but better.
-
Im indifferent towards it. So, I dont care either way.
-
Most likely individual releases. Most likely in some weeks in between chapters.

@PigNRun Don't you like 15% extra healing speed, with a little harder skill checks? It's called "Pharmacy": it should give you both quality and quantity, in my opinion.
@NeaJovovich It's very situational. No, Pharmacy + Plunderer is a suicide: you deserve two good healing add-ons, and some luck to find a closed chest. At high ranks, chests are ignored.
The thing is, it heals you pretty fast already because of the quality of the medkit. If I am going to bring a perk to ensure I get an item, I would rather it lasted longer. Thats why I would rather it have something like double additional charges add-ons, like Gel Dressings + Gauze Rolls.

He's my second least favorite, mostly due to his backstory being the literal best we have (IMO). I find him boring to play, and, as Boss and Blueberry both said, his Mori seems to have set a new standard length. It's one of the coolest, but it lasts WAY too long.
He is, however, really powerful in the right hands.
Why is having a nicely written backstory a reason for you to dislike him? :P
Also, regarding his mori, it is lengthy, but Nurse's still lasts longer. His and Hag's are of the same length, and only slightly longer than Leatherface's and Myers'.

I would like to mention that Plague's deformities (other than the toe) are indeed a symptom of the disease, not a side effect of a treatment. She didnt burn herself, her skin was rotting. She was disguising the putrid smell with the incense burner after all.
Anyway, if my memory about microbiology lessons from high school doesnt fail me, definitely bacteria, as that is the only one that can cause abscesses. The spread of the disease is an interesting topic though. Its either airborne or direct contact transmission. You would expect a priestess to touch her followers and further spread it (I even think one of her cosmetics says this specifically).
Needless to say, the state of her foot is most likely not related to the disease at all. Probably just a generic infection resulted from cutting her own toe and leaving the (non-plague) infection to spread to the rest of her foot.
-
Would rather it only added Gel Dressings. Thats all Pharmacy needs, additional charges. Surgical Sutures is a rather meh add-on.
Also, Wake Up didnt get a buff. It only made all tiers have unlimited distance of you opening exit gates.
-
In order to get the "Take a hit for someone" tokens, the one you need to take a hit for must have been in a chase with the Killer, and you have to take a hit from them before that chase ends. You have to be fairly close to them though, and moving (I think). The problem is, thats the most unreliable way to get tokens.
Unhooking people and freeing them from a bear trap are the most reliable ones. Taking hits from the Killer while carrying someone can sometimes work, but not sure if you have to be healthy, or crouching, or standing for it to work. I tried it once and after being hit twice (yes, I got downed), I only got one token.
-
The problem is, we go back to the same core topics all discussions lead to; "What is defined as winning to you?". People who say that getting generators powered up means they have already won are also the people who say NOED rewards bad Killers.
I consider endgame to be just like any part of the trial. With that in mind, NOED works just like any other perk, it boosts some property of a certain part of a match. It just happens to be endgame, where some people already give up by then and is disregarded completely.
There are some Killers that have endgame potential. The best example being Pig. Her ability basically says "Its not over until you escape or die". If endgame wasnt regarded as a valid section of the game, this Killer, endgame perks or even the hatch wouldnt be a thing. So, why is it wrong to build yourself up to another part of the trial instead of buffing for (for instance) early or mid game? People dont complain about Corrupt Intervention, they dont complain about STBFL, they dont complain about Spirit Fury.
Basically, NOED. Its not a crutch, its not a second chance, its not even OP. Its just another perk that focuses on endgame, just like Blood Warden, Remember Me and Rancor do (this last one being less so).

I always thought it was weird dance with me only hides your scratches for 3 seconds, but then distortion and poised hide them for like 10
Thats because those two are not controlled by you. Dance With Me is all your doing and decision.

There's also Ash Ketchum
And he is Ash. Not Ashley.
-
He is called "Ashley" (right?), which is predominantly a female name. :P
-
I thought Ash was a girl though.
-
He is my second favourite Killer. Sometimes I get good matches, sometimes just decent ones, other times bad ones. Most of my games are with either common or no add-ons at all. I usually run BBQ and Bamboozle on him. The two other slots, I change oftenly. Sloppy Butcher, Devour Hope, Discordance, Pop Goes the Weasel or Save the Best for Last. Very rarely, Ruin.
I would say he is heavily crippled by certain maps. Lery's makes his power almost useless. Generators in Shelter Woods are too spread out for him to apply proper pressure (and the fact that the map itself is out in the open space can go either in your favour or against you).

Bloodwarden shouldnt exist? are you saying it good? Or are you just saying that its a second chance perk
Back when I posted that comment the thread was titled "Second Chance Perks - What side has more?". My listing refers to second chance perks, not crutches.

True, we did get 4 gens done but we we're all on death hook pretty much, he applied excellent map pressure the entire game. He pathed the tiles optimally, knew where you break los and mind game, when to use her ability and when not to.
That's why we got destroyed because he played her optimally compared to others that try and just spam her ability or not use it properly.
So, what you are saying is that Killers should be balanced around high skill players at the top. Which is ironic considering our developers.

This is flawed. If they have DH, that's a helluva lot more than just 50% of the looping time. You also need to make that 9% 27% due to the other three survivors running Resilience and working on gens. It can vary greatly depending on perks and items.
People really need to learn that healing isn't necessary. Like at all. Unless you're going against a Nurse and you still need to do like 3-5 gens, then maybe? But otherwise, healing is a waste of time.
I already said this, but what is the difference between using Dead Hard as No Mither vs using Dead Hard without it? Its like doing math like this: (2*2)/2 = 2
-
I already had both, so nothing new here. I still lack Sole Survivor, Object of Obsession and Dying Light, which I want to appear on the Shrine (just so I can get every perk, they are all #########).
I got STBL a few months ago from the Shrine. I have used it with Clown a lot in the past, but I didnt notice much of a difference in effectiveness overall. So, I dont really use it anymore unless I have no other perks.
Since I have Pig, I originally unlocked old Surveillance just cause (though most of my Killers dont have it for some reason). With the buffed version, I havent made much use of it, but the few times I have, it yielded amazing results.

How often do you lose to 4 No Mither? Have you ever seen a No Mither sabo squad?
If they're coordinated, they're only a bit worse. No Mither isn't broken by any means but it's far from the ######### perk everyone thinks it is.
Again, broken is a joke. If they have situational awareness, they'll reach a loop before you can get to them, then you have to go through the same long chase. Especially if they stay separated but coordinated, then you're screwed.
No Mither/Broken/Being injured doesnt make you run faster, or loop better or anything. If the people behind those characters are doing a good job while running around in that state, then that means they will do twice as good without using No Mither. A good coordinated SWF can definitely pull it off, but the fact that they wont be able to be at top health also affects them.
-
Just like BBQ is only based on sacrifices, WGLF is only based on altruism. I do agree WGLF could use more ways to get tokens, but they need to be altruistic actions, not objectives.
I would prefer:
- All current ways (taking a hit for someone, flashlight/pallet save, etc)
- Safe unhooks only.
- Full-health state heal (or make it work like daily rituals) = 1 token
-
May 2018, first day forums launched. Just because I wanted something to read between and during classes (they can get boring sometimes). And I also wanted to avoid the Steam forums as much as possible.
-
Correct. Lullabies (Freddy's and Huntress') cannot be modified in any way.
Insidious will only affect your TR inside Dream World.
-
Kiss: Tapp (just because he is lonely, I never see any Tapps around)
Press F: Kate
Marry (and Press F): Quentin
-
Oh boy... Here we go.
First off, I would like to say Crutch != Second Chance. Secondly, just because they are second chance perks doesnt mean they shouldnt exist.
Survivors have 4 (2 two of which may change): DS (both old and current versions), BT, Mettle of Man (current state) and Buckle Up (current state).
Killers have 1: Blood Warden.

@Boss To be fair that was because of face campers. Back when it actually meant standing right in front of the survivor with no conceivable way to save the poor sucker.
Yet so much time have passed and Killers cant hook from multiple sides, therefore we have this "hook vacuum".
What people dont realise is that there is no such thing as hook vacuum. Its just latency where the Killer got to the hook first before the Survivor wiggled off. The vacuum we see is just the Killer's hooking animation adapting to the hook position. If Killers were able to hook from multiple sides, there wouldnt be a need for it.
People would still complain though, because they would not be facing the animation adaptation, and they would still get hooked even without this "vacuum".

Can someone explain to me what a double pallet is?
Back in the old days of DbD, there were a crap load more of pallets in the map. One that was particularly bad were those jungle gyms that had two pallets that spawned on the same one. Thats called "double pallet". They were removed a long time ago, so that only one pallet can spawn per jungle gym. But apparently, recent changes made to minimum pallet distance can sometimes force them to appear again.
-
@Carpemortum As I said, my case, not yours. Mine is also from tonight (instant lobbies).
-
Instant lobbies as both Survivor and Killer (old and current matchmaking) vs Semi-instant Survivor queues and 5-minute wait time for Killer (and more because Survivors with high ping kept leaving, understandably so) with awfully mismatched ranks (new matchmaking).
Pick one, because that is my case. They screwed up bad, but at least they know they did and are not ignoring it.

The problem with Doc is the current matchmaking. Anything other than under 100ms ping makes “Snap Out of It” in madness tier 3 near impossible.
Skill checks are client-sided though.

I wouldnt mind a perk that gave more points in the Sacrifice category. Im always running short on that.

Good grief do people not know how a modern business works anymore, you don't have people that do visual arts and have no fing clue how to code working on bugs. The same is true for coders that have no clue how to do cosmetics.
Also how do you think they hire more people if they don't have money coming in from cosmetics? Do you think that somehow BHVR magically grows it on trees in the snow outside their office?
Now since you're so eager and have so much know how on what they need to do you should apply and help them fix said issues. They've got tons of openings right now but keep in mind they hire both the best talent and the people that work well together.
I thought their income came from milking moose and selling maple syrup.

Excellently ? How often do you escape from a Trial completely unseen/unnoticed by the Killer exactly ? If you manage to escape unnoticed half the time (5/10 matches) considering you were not playing on Haddonfield or the Swamp, which are actually the only two good maps for Stealth and also having in mind the fact that the Killer was not being looped the whole match by a single Survivor (if he gets looped the whole time he can't look for others so this does not count) , then you are indeed an excellent Stealth player.
Unfortunately, I manage to escape completely unnoticed in only 1/10 matches or so.
By the way, Iron Will is not Stealth. It involves you getting seen and injured. If you get seen you are not being stealthy.
You are right, Iron Will isnt stealth. That means I need absolutely nothing to stealth!
Also, it is unrealistic to say that you will spend the entire match unnoticed. That means that:
A) The Killer is bad because they are chasing the same person/people.
B) You arent playing stealthily, you are playing immersed.
As I have said before, the game isnt only about chases, but also about stealth. Likewise, the game isnt about full stealth, but also being found. The game doesnt cater to either side because it takes both into consideration, because their intended game is a balance of both.
If you are bad at chases, you will get hooked. Thats why you have 3 chances by default.
Anyway, back to the top. Iron Will is stealth. It helps those who are failing at chases. Stealth is pulling a juke and losing the Killer mid-chase, just as much as not engaging at all.
-
Clown, definitely.

If you use Quentin than he has to be p3.
His alternate outfit looks way better though.
That said, my Quentin is P-50, but because he is my main. I never use the bloody clothing though.
-
1) Leatherface: Straight up getting to the Survivor's back and rev up the chainsaw, and thats it.
2) Hillbilly: Similar to Leatherface, but with less control.
3) Myers: Leaving aside Scratched Mirror Myers, straightforward as hell.
Legion is one of the easier Killers indeed, but not the easiest. You still have to learn to deal with 110% movement speed with as little interaction with your power as possible.
-
Its not the same, because Tombstone has a downside, therefore making you play worse than what you would do without Tombstone (potentially). It increases the amount required to trigger EW3, completely depletes it when used and makes you slower. You should have just been more specific.

I don't think you saw how Enduring works against DS.
Without Enduring the stun takes only 3 seconds and it starts during the dropping animation when the survivor can't even move, which lasts about 0.7 seconds, so the stun time is actually ~2.3 seconds.
Enduring reduces the stun to 1.7 seconds and dropping a survivor still takes about 0.7 seconds, which means that the stun time is actually 1 second. The killer can basically down you after 2-3 seconds. You can't even vault a window in that time. Yesterday I literally stunned the killer and mashed Space to vault a window that was behind the killer and he still managed to turn and hit me before I vaulted.
I really don't think DS should be affected by Enduring, because it completely IGNORES the perk. And Enduring is also a meta perk anyway. They should bring back the 4 seconds stun and maybe then Enduring could affect it.
What about Empathy or Bond countering Knock Out? (not even a strong perk) Or Distortion and BBQ? Or Sprint Burst or Spine Chill and any stealth Killer?
Thats the definition of a counter. Making another advantage completely ineffective. I really see nothing wrong with this. DS's old "counters" were barely even soft counters, and that was bad design.
-
I havent had it happen to me, but I have done that before in order to complete the "Kill by your own hand" rituals.
-
A bit less than 1 million, which is the BP cap. But it also heavily depends on how you manage each bloodweb, what item quality you take and your luck.
-
I use Iron Will, and that is the only stealth I need. Even without it I still do excellently.
The problem with stealth is that most Survivors dont know how to do it. They think that hiding behind a nearby tree or pallet is enough despite being predictable.
-
Everyone has different standards when it comes to ping. In my case, as long as its yellow or less, its fine.
