I think what he means is everyone complains when a new killer comes out. The spirit is a good example because when she was released people were complaining she was weak and should be able to see the blood as part of her base power. I don't remember a killer coming out where everyone agrees they are good, bad, boring or indifferent.
Spirit is a bad example because she was indeed weak-ish on the PTB. Everyone got used to seeing blood while phasing because it was a bug. After her release, she got several nice changes that made her top tier, such as everything related to her vacuum sound. She got buffed; not in the way everyone wanted, but she turned top tier after that.

Its Hag, not Witch. Respect your elders.

Kind of. Yes you can aim and throw wherever you want, but it takes ages to do so, you slow down while doing it, and flying bottles are too slow to be thrown far away and NOT be dodged entirely, meaning survivors just turn somewhere else. Most of the time you're only left with the option of throwing them at survivors' feet to land a hit. But you might as well just hit them normally if you're that close to them.
The only real advantage that Clown had at the beginning was shutting down loops in those dreadful T-wall L-wall combinations, but as far as I know (and the reason I quit playing him), this was changed and survivors didn't see their vaulting speed affected anymore.
Forgive me if I'm wrong about this last thing, but I haven't played him since. Was it reverted? Intoxication affects vaulting speed today?
It still forces medium vaults.
-
I like her, but she has its weaknesses unfortunately. Not too weak, but not strong either.
- Surveillance is her best perk, and a strong one. Probably the best generator defence perk along with Ruin, Corrupt Intervention and Discordance.
- Make Your Choice can be devastating, but only fast Killers will make full use of it (Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly) and Hag as well.
- Hangman's Trick is situational as hell. Not a bad perk, but it will only come in use once in a blue moon.
As for Tapp, his perks arent bad either.
- Stake Out helps a lot with general generator/healing progression. Ruin's biggest counter. And helps against good Spirits who use the "phasing just in range of TR so you wont hear me" strategy. Its only true downside are stealth Killers.
- Tenacity is situational, as you wont get slugged every game. That said, it has saved me quite a few times. And once we get the Evil Dead chapter perks, assuming Buckle Up (?) isnt nerfed, it will make for a quite powerful combo.
- Deterctive's Hunch isnt too good though. But its the only true bad perk out of all of this DLC.
-
Are you sure you have to be completely infected (broken state) to use the fountain? I have been able to remove it just fine like that.
-
Thats called a "marker". Its available with a certain map add-on; Glass Bead. It can be seen by all Survivors, not by the Killer. The Survivor using the map can use it to mark specific spots, like the hatch, a totem or just for fun.
-
That could be the case. In any case, thats good. Makes it easier to get tier 3 perks and get them out of the way to get the perks you actually want.
-
Small note. I prestiged my Legion the other day and got BBQ at level 20-something. The exact following bloodweb gave me tier 2, and tier 3 came a few bloodwebs later.
Basically, I got my whole desired build before level 35. Gotta love RNG.
-
I have little problem with the Survivor pipping requisites. If you die, its easy to depip, but overall manageable. Those matches are usually the ones which you are screwed over at the start. So, its rare for me to depip.
For Killers, I havent had much trouble with it either. But I havent been doing much with Killer because of matchmaking taking ages, and most games have been with Legion (the easiest Killer to pip with).
Still, I am not too obsessed on ranking up honestly. I have been put with all kinds of players anyway; from SWAT SWF to decently bad newbies.
-
Any Killer that forces Survivors to run away are regarded as "annoying to play against", which means its justified to DC if you get matched against one.
-
I dont understand what you have against WGLF. How is it "Novice" when I see it being used more than certain Exhaustion perks? > Farming category.
Head On > Situational
Poised > Situational
Botany Knowledge > Specific Builds
Diversion > Neutral or Good (or anything other than just "Fun to Use")
Tenacity > Situational
Unbreakable > Situational
Calm Spirit > Neutral
Leader > Neutral
Solidarity > Situational/Neutral
Breakdown > Situational
Quick & Quiet > Specific Builds
Stake Out > Good
-
I disagree with the entire chart. :P Except with Meta, but this category seems to be about the usage in matches rather than actual effectiveness (Dead Hard and Unbreakable).

Amazing show. Creepiest person was the "Return the slab or suffer my curse" person. WatchMojo did a list about that show a while ago and it brings back so many memories. I'll edit in link if anyone wants to see it
That one and Courage's origin episode are my two favourites.
-
Potentially true. The better you are, the less you rely on all-purpose well-rounded perks and therefore may opt to try memeish/more specific builds. That said, even if you are good, if you are not interested on those kind of perks, you will stick to the better ones.
-
Yes, but its faster.
-
Its actually different. Reappearance add-ons mean that you get a long lunge/speed boost as you get out of phasing. The stronger it is, the longer it lasts.
-
You mean the icon that appears during the match next to your four equipped perks? Sometimes greenish blue and other times red?
That is just telling you a specific perk with an effect is active. Green/Blue means buff, red debuff. For instance, the Thanathophobia icon showing there in red means the effect is active because someone is injured. The Aftercare icon means that someone used it on you and you can see each other's aura.
Another example would be Dying Light. If you are the Obsession, it will appear as a buff when performing altruistic actions. Likewise, after you die, it will show as a debuff for all other Survivors.

Rin's father was driven insane by the Entity itself to commit the incident that led to the death of his family. If I was to guess, the Entity might have retreated after taking Rin, making his father sane again. He might have suicided after realising what he had done, he might have ran away, he might have kept on living, or anything. We dont know that. What we know for certain is that Rin will never get her revenge because that is the whole point of the "Vengeful Spirit" tale.
-
Fake copies of Windows 10. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
-
It definitely takes longer as Killer. 5 minutes for me. Compared to >1 minute as Survivor. It might just be the new chapter hype and everyone playing Plague (tons of them, by the way), but I also experienced this before when they were testing it out.

Why did the entity choose her if she never really did anything bad before she died of the sickness? Billy was abused so he killed his parents and that's why the entity came. The wraith was tricked into killing people, so he went crazy and killed his boss (I think). The nurse went literally crazy and killed a bunch of patients. And so on. What did the plague do other than take a few followers with her when she left? Is her "Abandonment of her people" count as something worth the entity coming and claiming her?
The Entity doesnt choose people to become Killers just because they did something "wrong". It chooses them based on the strong emotions they experience so it can feed on them. Look at Spirit, for instance. In Plague's case, Im guessing it was her strong devotion to her deities that attracted the Entity.
-
I would still swap Dead Hard and Sprint Burst. I just cant ignore the fact that SB makes you immune to certain stealth Killers once per chase.
At least Dead Hard is no longer the worst Exhaustion perk. Head On is.

Courage the cowardly dog, best show of my childhood
I grew up with Courage as well. Some episodes were so ######### up and I loved it because of that.
-
Alien Isolation and Amnesia The Dark Descent. Outlast did scare me, but I didnt enjoy it (too unrelenting). It was also too predictable.
The Laat of Us is an amazing game. But the "horror" part of it isnt what makes it good.
-
I got played nice with it yesterday. It was just the Obsession and I left. They got hooked and the Killer managed to spot me with BBQ. They got really close to me because of the TR being on the Obsession (and trees were blocking my sight).

I think that instead of generators, it should maybe have a stack system in which it gets stacks from survivors being hooked?

@Wolf74 Self Care was nerfed by the healing speed being decreased overall. On top of that, there's no way to increase the speed of Self Care with other perks.
Decisive Strike's nerf literally went live 2 days ago.
As for Object of Obsession, is this a broken perk or something? I never see anyone use it, and from what I know, it's just a perk you run if you're interested in dying.
Botany Knowledge?

I wish they wouldn't have put DS in shrine of secrets the week before they completely ruin it. I am the sorry sucker that wasted 2000 shards for a perk I wont use now. Could have planned that out the week AFTER you change it. This is a game for killers now bcuz it's no fun to get tunneled and they are making it easier for killers constantly.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/48381/decisive-strike-upcoming-changes
How long has that post been around before the update dropped? A MONTH? Not to mention the PTB and thousands of other ways to get informed of it. If you actually didnt want this version of DS, you wouldnt have "wasted" shards on it.
-
The only achievement I dislike is Deranged Pursuit because its not how Legion goes. At least Evil Incarnate and Skilled Huntress actually tie with their power appropriately.
-
This is an intended change for al lockers. After they made it so that hiding in them prevents others from seeing your aura, they added this to balance it out. You cannot see auras while inside (aka Blindness effect).
As for those games, if you meant that those Killers found you while you were inside of those lockers, Iron Maiden does not work like that. It notifies the Killer when you exit the locker, not when you enter it. There is no perk that gives you that information other than properly timed aura reading that showed them you going inside the locker.
There is also the fact that if you are infected and go inside the locker, said locker will turn green as if Plague had puked on it. So, that is another thing that could have happened.
...Leaving aside locker hides that wont work because they are predictable.
-
As far as I have experienced, Plague suffers with two maps; Lery's and Blood Lodge.
The latter is because of how open it is, making it really easy for her to be spotted from distance, especially while having Corrupt Grudge active.
-
Use No Mither. Counters Plague quite well. Tier 1 only though.
-
Most likely it was done in preparation for dedicated servers.
-
I would recommend to prestige Clown because its way rarer to see and it looks better than P3 Myers, who simply looks as if someone spilled chilli over his outfit.
-
If they ever decide to make a Killer called "The Mexican", it needs to carry a lot more stereotypes with it.

Myers has DS, so here's that.
I said Myers. Not Halloween. DS is one perk out of 6 that came with that chapter. All others? Absolute crap or situational.

Are you using military grade headphones? I’ve never heard her footsteps when she’s phasing. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say that they hear Spirit’s footsteps while phasing.
Also, is any Killer not named Nurse or even Billy meme tier to you?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/373492#Comment_373492
Superior to Nurse? I always saw Spirit as slightly weaker than Nurse because you can’t phase walk through a wall or pallet.
About the footsteps, yes, they are audible. They are like thumps on the ground (even though she doesnt walk like that). You can also hear Wraith while cloaked that way.
-
People seem to be confusing "sounds" here.
What people complain about: The finger crackling sound that plays when you start phasing being heard by Survivors.
What people are confusing this with: The vacuum sound that plays while phasing.

That wouldn’t exactly make her low tier though. I feel like you guys are overreacting about this.
Overreacting or reacting accordingly because this affects all Spirit players in a negative way? I wont say low tier, but they seriously need to revert this if intended.

@PigNRun her hair looked different to me when she was, idk maybe gamer sense.😂
Oh that thing. I honestly never noticed it or used it. In any case, the hair thing sounds extremely situational. (Not to mention it becomes ineffective against the School Spirit outfit)

I am debating between Spirit's general ambience sounds (not the vacuum) or her "sheathing" her blade.
-
Surveillance is. Discordance becomes completely useless once Survivors figure out you have it, which turns into a Killer's worst nightmare; Survivors on different generators.
-
Sorry, should have specified. Case 2 was actually unhooking yourself with Deliverance while having Adrenaline on hold.
-
Bu removing, you mean being completely scrapped or maybe applying it as base?
Other than the ones mentioned:
- Buffed: Vigil (up the values a bit, like up to 50%, at least for yourself).
- Nerfed: MAYBE Borrowed Time. Move it back to Endurance status effect instead of Deep Wounds. Not because its OP, but I liked the idea of it being a timer that forced you to heal or find someone else before going down. (I also liked the black and white VFX more).
- Removed: While Monstrous Shrine is the best option, to avoid repetition, I would remove both Play with your Food and Dying Light. PWYF is just #########, and Dying Light promotes gameplay I avoid.
-
Just bumping this. Has anyone experienced it? Is it just "you cant heal" or "you cant be healthy"?

We need the video of David being stabbed down there by Myers...
