Wow I’m seeing small PP builds all over the place here from the survivors. Thank you for beating them, they 100% deserve it.
I mean I hate the small PP build but he was using a stridor spirit which imo is just as bad

I appreciate you considering my arguments despite my criticisms against a character you like.
I really wish more people had your attitude.
Most of Jane’s outfits are just “Jane on the beach” “Jane in designer clothes” “Jane in designer clothes again”. That’s why I love her painter outfit the most
-
While I love Jane your point makes a lot of sense.
This is also why I love Jeff so much. When you look at him you think “Some kind of biker or metal head?” And you’d be right. All his cosmetic show him at different points in his life from his roadie days to him being a biker. This really adds to his story imo

Leprechaun> chucky
A man of culture
Seriously though I’d love to see leprechaun in the game

Swamp feels like it can spawn in every inch of the map

Its OK but I still find monitor and abuse to be the most consistent stealth perk in the game.
With Huntress, the difference between a 12m terror radius and 0 is honestly not too much, it’s like 2 seconds at best and you are already in easy hatchet range by the time they hear it.
Moniter is great but on clown I prefer full stealth instead of a decrease in terror radius
-
It’s slightly annoying but I run oppression so I’m used to long cool downs
-
I like the new ones personally though I agree they could use more polish

Killers that rely on slugging to win( I know all killers can but oni and twins literally need to to win)

Or the devs could make it so that the chat is for decent people instead of telling them that it's their responsibility to avoid it, this kind of BS is why the chat isn't on consoles, because unlike the devs the companies who own those care about making sure people aren't being threatened with ######### ect,
Tbf this happens in any game I’ve played I’d rather they have a report system that actually does something

Then why play it?

@GannTM said:
I've been thinking about this for a few days now. I think this would keep people from being ######### in the chat, and if they do, they can't use the chat temporarily. Banning players from playing the game isn't a good idea because the player base will drop heavily, so I think this should be introduced.
You can disable the chat yourself can’t you. I’m on Xbox so I just turn messages to friends only

Looks like clown is now literally bottom tier

Surge. It's an awesome perk on the right Killers. But the M1 down restriction means that about half the Killers can't use it at all, so it's only usable on Killer specific builds. Also, Survivors that are really smart catch on to Surge and hop in lockers when they're about to go down to deny the Surge activation, which sort of sucks. Because locker grabs don't count as M1 downs.
Surge is my main regression with surveillance for tracking. It’s honestly pretty good but oppression is winning me over

Hope (its nice but I feel it has more potential)
Vigil

Killer:

Beast Of Prey (goes great with obsession perks, has more potential than it is showing)
Bloodhound (I want more reason to use it, as a colour blind person it's the only way I can track blood)
Up the ante slippery meat is so fun to use

Autodidact is a main stay for me but should guarantee at least one skill check per heal
Also second wind but that’s already being buffed

that would allow stealth killers to nearly bypass it entirely, it's fine as is and only needs to be locked from getting paired with unbreakable
They can’t really lock you out of another perk as that just shows how unbalanced the perk really is

Lol.
Yes there is.
Escape!
The pipping system and emblem system have nothing to do with win conditions. They’re simply used to determine if you were well matched, or poorly matched against your opponent.
What happens if I do 3 gens unhook 4 times and sacrifice my life to get someone else out?

@MadLordJack said:
That is a latency problem, not a hitbox problem. On the killers screen, you were still vaulting the window. Those two have nothing to do with one another and should stop being confused. It pollutes the real issue with talk of falsehoods.
Hit boxes are fine bar huntress hatchets

Agree with all but infectious oni. That perk is kinda neede to make him good

Well if we're being technical, making it true anti-tunnel would be a nerf to the perk, because it would be weaker than how it is now.
But I digress, this is exactly what they should do to it. (Making it anti-tunnel)
It’s still going to be hard to balance around chase mechanics(remember old legion) but agreed it does need to be changed

Would love to see survivors do their idle animations in the trial while standing still

What makes you think devs can't make stupid assumptions as well. Remember OoO?
I'd rather have some insight about why some changes are made (or not), even if that means others will draw stupid conclusions. At least we can filter out threads about misinterpreted data.
The devs most certainly make some bad decisions based on stats but the community will do the same thing

Oh i would buff a ton of perks because most are weak af and no real alternative to the meta perks. At least 50% of all perks are kinda meh.
Why don´t we have. for example, a killer version of Plunderers, Appraisal or Ace in the Hole? A perk that lets killers keep their addons and another one that lets killer get new addons during a match?
There is a lot of space for improvement on both sides.
Could be interesting but useless on some killers like slinger who only have 2 good addons.
im an advocate for buffing bad perks so we get more variety then nerf the op ones. I’d rather not have a situation of picking between 70 bad perks
-
Assuming your talking about monetasation let’s face it every game has a battle pass now it’s par for the course.
could it be better yes but otherwise this game isn’t too bad
-
There is a lot of stupid conclusions people will draw from these so I’d rather not have them available
-
Honestly fine with it as of now. It can counter flashlights DS and sabo at the cost of points while giving a cool animation

Tunneling is only effective against chill teams that you could have 4k'd anyway (your job is to kill everyone, not one person), and genrushing is just plain unfair and unfun for everyone involved. It's like putting the difficulty in the game down to "beginner." Small wonder why people hate it.
Plus, especially with tunneling since that's something that can be done by yourself, you know it's hated and makes people miserable and you still do it. Hmm. I wonder why people get mad?
Then again, you clearly are bringing a competitive mindset into a noncompetitive game.
Depends on what you classify genrushing as. Is it 4 commodious on separate gens or people just being effective?

Yes, survivors and killers are designed in different ways. Its a 4vs1 after all. Therefore killer perks should be 4 times stronger than survivor perks.
But this is not given. There are even survivor perks that are way stronger than killer perks.
We still need a baseline strength for a perk because at this point I don’t think the devs know. 4 times stronger tha DS or 4 times stronger than autodidact?
I understand where you are coming from but the only survivor perks I’d say are stronger than killers are DS and UB which both need a tone down.
If you want them to be much stronger than what about already strong perks like ruin or infectious? Do they get buffed because they aren’t 4 times stronger than DS.
They simply cannot Balance around this metric
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895421#Comment_1895421
Those are not downsides.
Killers have plenty of downside perks. All Hex perks for example, have the downside of the perk being removable by survivors.
@ILoveDemo dude... really?
At the cost of them being strong (not you huntress lullaby). Perks like Devour hope and ruin are very strong so they need a caveat.
I do agree that a perk like unbreakable needs a caveat to for its strength but survivor and killer perks are design different because they are two different styles of gameplay

Whatever the case - that doesn't stop the fact that people also whine about LITERALLY every killer with anti loop, because anything that goes against the "run in circles, greed pallet, take hit, run in more circles, dead hard for distance, run in more circles, finally drop pallet" is boring.
You’re right I do remember getting a message on Xbox and I quote “imagine unironically playing clown🥱”. People like to complain about these killers because they see them a skilless because they can counter looping.
Killers are in the same bucket though considering they complain about exhaustion perks(except dead hard complaints there are warranted) And some even camp people who loop them too long.
If you want an example of the opposite of those survivors watch jaee
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
Survivors only want weak killers in the game
There's actually truth to this statement.
Not every survivor mind you, but a seeming majority of them. You can even go to the top survivor main streamers on twitch. You know the ones - the elite clique who "swear they play killer off stream", but never on stream...and then talk about how they never play DBD off stream because they hate the game so much. Most of the survivor community bases their opinions on what these "super good (but not really, and I'll explain why later)" players say about the game.
The pattern is - any killer with any level of danger OR anti loop (anti loop being the big one) is considered "boring". But golly, if you go into a game as Wraith, you're considered "wholesome" because you're basically looked at as bending over for a rectal thrashing of a lifetime.
Clown - the current weakest killer in the game (on most peoples tier lists) is complained about. Why? Not cause he's fast, not cause he's OP...but because he has bottles that cause hindered status, forcing medium vaults. AKA, anti loop. Same with Slinger, Freddy, Hag, Trapper, Bubba (to an extent), Huntress, Doctor, Pyramidhead etc. All of them have decent anti loop. All of them are considered "boring" by a majority of the influencers in the community, and the majority of the community by association.
Why do I say these people "aren't that good"? Take away their Dead Hard, or other exhaustion, and they drop faster than McGregor. Blood Echo is a wonderful thing.
There is some truth to this but to be fair to them if your facing a slinger or a spirit your skill might as well be meaningless in that chase
Doctor is an anti loop killer done right as playing him effectively requires skill and survivors who play well can loop him

If you think it is safe, you don't need BT. BT is for going for risky saves to counter campers\tunnelers. It can't backfire because BT is insurance
Backfire was the wrong word my bad I meant to say some killers could nullify it’s effect causing a bad play on your part
-
@SilentHillOnDvD said:

How can BT be risky? You mean a safe unhook can be risky.
I’m just saying it can backfire if you think it is safe and ghostface comes around the corner in stealth mode to tunnel your friend
-
@TragicSolitude said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895421#Comment_1895421
You're listing counters. There's a difference between counters and a risk/downside.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895401#Comment_1895401
Deliverance - the survivor is broken after unhooking themselves. (The risk can be negated with DS, but that requires a second perk.)
For the People - the survivor becomes broken for a while to heal a teammate.
Second Wind - the survivor is broken for a while before automatically healing.
It seems the devs like to use the Broken status as their risk/downside for perks. And yeah, as a downside it's pretty unimpressive.
A perk having a counter is still technically a risk considering your risking the killer having a counter to your perk.
When i bring a healing build I am running the risk of fighting a plague( however rare they are) who will completely nullify my build and leave me perkless. That’s a pretty big risk
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895341#Comment_1895341
Could you name survivor perks that have downsides or risks for their reward, please?
BT can be risky against stealth killers or Freddy who can nullify it. Aura perks can be countered by blindness. Healing perks can be countered be mangled or broken. Running DS without unbreakable can cause slugging nullifying the perk. Plagues existence makes healing perks risky
I could go on
Edit: I forgot exhaustion addons

Fair point.
Yesterday i missed each and every shot with him. So i guess, those survivors had the time of their live.
I think he needs a rework of his addons. Since the red ones are useless. (Deathslinger)
Yeah his red are Terrible especially the hellshire iron. You can’t even move your camera to see the auras in your 24m terror radius.
The coin is usable but you have to have god tier aim to consistently get exposes
Survivors would rather have killers that give them a chance to show off their looping skills than having no deciding factor in their chase besides hoping the killer messes up
-
Both sides complain too much. Killers complain about people talking to their friends and survivors complain about someone using their power too effectively
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894590#Comment_1894590
And where did i claim anything different...?
You said billy was nerfed hard but in reality most good Billy’s can still do really well.
these killers are fun because they add equal challenge and counter play to both sides making a more fun match overall.
While I play killers like deathslinger because I find them fun I’d be lying if I said the survivors were having as much fun as I was.
-
An MMR system is coming soon after the mid chapter so they don’t care about this for now. Anyway that was pretty easy if you just focus the two low ranks and then the high ranks
-
@QwQw said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894621#Comment_1894621
Yeah I can see that. However, I think their whole theme is to be boring and plain. They're supposed to be scary because anyone around could be as ######### up as them, without you even knowing. Hence the title of their chapter "Darkness Among Us". In real life, you're far more likely to get shanked by some teens then get chased around by a big dude with a chainsaw.
True that’s why I like clown and slinger so much as their story feels realistic as opposed to someone like spirit.
Still think they could have done more with them though. Maybe Jeff was friends with them but split off after he realised their true colours?

Legion used to be cancer but nowadays people mostly sleep on them. They're a very a good killer now as long as you know how to play the game of attrition.
Solid C tier imo but a good looper really hurts them

As a Legion main, I am very offended.
I just find them boring honestly. Bunch of edgy teens with a list for blood. I’d much rather play a fat clown with tuberculosis who throws bottles at people
-
Freddy could do with a new terror radius even though he has his lullaby.
-
I’d personally say legion is worse because at least twins have a cool concept. Not only did legion ruin the game for awhile they also have a uninteresting design imo
