Insulting over genrush/tunneling

My perspective of the game is that survivors must do all gens and escape and killers must kill all survivors. So doing gens as fast as possible and getting rid of one survivor early game seem like the perfect formula to win a game. I get that you can be mad that you got targeted by the killer or that you could never find 2 survivors at the same time as killer, but come on, there's perks to counter both strategies and insulting over people wanting to win is a bit pathetic imo...

I don't even know what to respond when people insult me for doing some of this as if it wasn't what i was supposed to do. What is your perspective? Maybe I should try to play more "fair" but honestly i have fun trying to win as hard as possible in any game I play and i expect the opposite team to do that aswell.

Btw i want to make clear that i'm not against people complaining about balance issues, this is a necessary thing to make the game more fun, just about people insulting over using the best you can to win.

  • Tunneling is only effective against chill teams that you could have 4k'd anyway (your job is to kill everyone, not one person), and genrushing is just plain unfair and unfun for everyone involved. It's like putting the difficulty in the game down to "beginner." Small wonder why people hate it.

Plus, especially with tunneling since that's something that can be done by yourself, you know it's hated and makes people miserable and you still do it. Hmm. I wonder why people get mad?

Then again, you clearly are bringing a competitive mindset into a noncompetitive game.

  • you know what is even more effective at "winning" a match? using cheats.

But somehow that will probably go too far even for you, must be within the game's rules or whatever.

Point is, tunneling is just weak af, and in a game as silly is this, playing purely to "win" when you know such a silly tactic is like taking candy from a baby, hence directly deminishing the value of said "win", is...to use your own words, pathetic.

And to this part "just about people insulting over using the best you can to win." like...how can you not see how extremely sad that is? to use everything in your power to give you the edge, how....insecure? idk even how to call it, again the value of doing well is directly connected to the effort it takes, if you give yourself every advantage....then what is that "win" worth?

Now how about you start playing some matches without bringing items or add ons? now suddenly if you do well its much more satisfying and earned, its you doing well, not some item or add on.

but I feel im talking to a wall here, but yeah I have zero respect for "gamers...." like that, its boring, challenge yourself damn it.

  • I just think those strategy’s shouldn’t be as effective as they are. Don’t know how to fix that though.

as survivor you should prioritize healing/helping your teammates/not getting hit by the killer in almost all cases; but rushing gens instead is way more rewarding in the end and getting hooked on a rusty meathook is somehow the better idea than running away because you get a gen done..

same with killer, you should try to injure/hook/kill everyone, only focusing on one person shouldn’t be as effective because the others are more likely to escape, but in almost all cases either the survs rush the gens (see above; then killer complains) or they try to stop you from tunneling and it’s ez killer game if the killer has some skill.

Damn I thought a game that has 2 teams playing against each other was a competitive game but i guess i've been playing Barbie World Adventures while murdering the unicorns all along.

You seem to make such a big drama over someone just enjoying to win video games. Keep talking to that wall then maybe one day it will respond back.

that does not make any sense at all, what you are even trying to imply here?

Depends on what you classify genrushing as. Is it 4 commodious on separate gens or people just being effective?

Because he says that DBD is not a competitive game when it clearly is and i've been trying to win when I shouldn't.

well there are different definitions here, yes you play against eachother....but like if I play a game against me 8 year old nephew....is that a competitive game? or do we know its os completely skewed we are just having fun?

because DBD is not even close to being anywhere near balanced, and it pretty much cant be without removing 90% of the content, so in that sense its hardly a Counter Strike or Starcraft or whatever.

Well maybe you should look in the dictionary the definition of competition. Monopoly is a game that you play with 8 year nephew old and is a competitive game.
