While I do deeply care deeply for the quality of the in-game cosmetics one thing about your post has completely distracted me. Why did you take camera photos? Couldn't you just take a screenshot in-game?

By buying the dlc you get at least 1 unique cosmetic for one of the characters in the chapter. In this case, you get 1 shirt for Kate.

Yellow electrode? The brown one works just fine and would honestly be a more fitting base.SentientSickness said:make the yellow electrode base, and either reduce the charge slow down, or increase the stun by .5 thats all i think he really needs.
That being said seeing ghost docs in tier 2 at base would be really nice

0h yehhh, reporting could help. Community is quite toxic.serabeth90 said:Why can't we all just have fun and play a good game
?....No, really. After game chat is the worst. I want to say "gg" if I had a good time, but the most random comments can escalate people so quickly. It's like they're touchy as f*** and super on edge.
I stopped playing killer because I was tired of being harassed and now the other survivors are harassing me when I play survivor lol. Several times now in games, certain survivors have gotten angry that I am doing generators and not running around in the middle for who the f*** knows what reason, so I can die and they can hook farm me I would guess. They run up to me and point in the direction they want me to go and if I don't listen, they will jump around me and create loud noise notifications and try to run the killer into me.
The community in general just really needs to be cleaned up; the extreme negativity, sandbagging, name calling, threats, attempted harassment through other platforms, and general anger and angst all need to stop. I don't know how to go about fixing it, but all I can say is I hope the new reporting system helps and that the devs crack down on it.

@Orange_Lady On top of the dlc bringing veterans back, another possibility could be just new free-to-play players. After all, Dead by Daylight is free to play on Steam right now.

I usually run BT, but altruism has been stabbing me in the rear alot harder recently so I might abstain from using it soon.

Pls no. It already barely does anything good.

I have begun a crusade against toxicity, but alas I have actually had decent luck at avoiding it as of late. Rest assured that I will continue to actively report users that violate the rules.

On the bright side, a lucky Devour Hope is just as good if not better than an Ebony Memento Mori.

Wait, does Insidious remove the red stain?

Let me give you a word of advice, RUN.
Your username has Twitch in the title so for some benign reason, most killers will be less receptive to you. Secondly, camping has been accepted by the developers so there is nothing that will be done to punish it. Lastly, there are perks that can be used to counter this tactic as well as common sense. You claim that you don't care "what way a survivor is played". Well if you're true to your word you'll grab Borrowed Time or Kindred and be done with the complaint.
-
Why are you complaining about Rancor again? It's too OP? That's just laughable. Rancor does 2 things and only 2 things. Rancor Exposes the Obsession AFTER the generators have all been repaired and it grants the ability to the kill the obsession. So, Rancor lets you down and kill one out of the four survivors at the end of the game. There's nothing wrong with this, and here's why.
1.) Being exposed doesn't "expose" you necessarily.
I get it, going down in one hit sucks, however, they can't hit you if they can't find you.2.) Secondly, 1 survivor is 1 survivor.
Look, there are 4 survivors in a normal trial, if the killer gets to kill off one of you for free that's okay. You are the minority. You are 25% of the team, you are expendable.3.) Rancor has two clear counters: Stealth & GTFO.
The killer can punish you severely if they catch you, so don't get caught. Just take it slow in stealth or Blitzkrieg rush the gates with allies as shields.4.) Rancor comes into effect at the end game. This means that it cannot be combined with Dying Light and is risky at best with Remember Me. This forces Rancor to be used as a last-chance perk, kind of like Decisive Strike! Rancor will only come into play if the killer hasn't killed off the obsession, sort of like how Decisive Strike can only be used once you are picked up.
Overall it's a situational perk that has potential but lacks potency unless you are an arrogant fool.

Survivor:
The Lover's Challenge."Your mission, should you choose to accept it is as follows."
Queue up for a game as a survivor and choose one of your three allies to become emotionally attached to. After selecting your partner they must survive the trial. You should ideally also escape at the same time (roughly) via an exit gate.
Your perks and tools are as follows
Perks
Self-Care will allow you to take a hit for your partner and ideally lead the killer away from them. It will also serve as your lifeline should you two become separated.
Borrowed Time will help you overcome any campers should your partner get on one's bad side.
Urban Evasion will allow you to crawl at the same speed as or faster than your partner allowing you to peak corners and lead away trouble before it reaches them.
Leader lets you actively strengthen your partner by being near them and thus encourages you to actually be near your partner for the duration of the trial.
Tools
"Broken Heart Key"
(Broken Key + [Eroded or Gold Token] + {Prayer Rope or Prayer Beads})
"A keepsake to remind you of your partner, you can feel their embrace when you squeeze the handle."
Use this tool to ping for your partner unless you get lucky (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) with a Shroud of Union.Victory Conditions:
1.) Happy Ever After, spend the majority of the match together and escape together.
2.) Long Distance Relationship, spend almost no time together and escape together.
3.) 'Til Death do you Part, spend most of the trial together and die for your love's safety.
4.) Star-crossed Lovers, spend almost no time together and you both die.In order to receive credit for completing this challenge, you'll need a screenshot of:
- the lobby where you specify whom your partner will be
- a screenshot of you exiting the match with or without your partner
a screenshot of you with your partner during the trial at least once but more is better (ideally not just at the end)
(repairing, cleansing, sabotaging, use Leader for something)A screenshot of the tally screen if you left your partner in the trial (or if they left early)
Note: You and your partner are a couple so if you get any third wheels for the majority of the trail your victory is void.
The main challenge here (aside from the screenshots) is potentially having to overcome a hard tunnel.

Spine Chill > Rancor
I had a match earlier where I was the obsession. (I was running Self-Care, Urban Evasion, Spine Chill, and Technician.) Once I had enough progress on the gate the little bonus speed was enough to open the gate and deny them their free kill. I have since then swapped Technician for Wake Up and am eager to test the further potential of this phenomenon.
-
@Slimette The phrase "Slow Vault" is a bit vague, are you by chance referring to slow window vaults or pallet vaults. For some reason the mechanics for vaulting each of these objects is different so once again, what are you talking about?

I get that being slugged sucks, but you still generate bleed out points so I cannot in good faith deny the killer these points. However, after all of the doors have been opened the killer gains nothing when one survivor lurks on the map in a clear attempt to waste the killer's time. (I'm talking about an actual problem, not totem breaking or sabotage.) So I would prioritize giving the killer an option to surrender over survivors any day. If you really want to give up, just go to the killer. Most killers have a 32 meter TR so finding them shouldn't be too hard.
-
@Toecutter Mate, why are you complaining about bullying? Your profile icon suggests that you main Hillbilly, one of the killers better suited to tank stuns and blinds. With his perks, most killers become more durable so I am confused as to how survivors are bullying you.

You have left so many options open my friend as some maps have unique features. Ironworks of Misery has some vats you could toss a survivor into from the catwalk. You could hang a survivor in Rancid Abbatior and beat them like a punching bag. Then there are more dynamic options you missed. There could be a mori where the killer drops a survivor at a pallet and then crushes them repeatedly with the pallet. You could throw someone in a locker and knock it over and stomp on it breaking the locker and their spine. The possibilities are endless!

In all of my most recent games, I have observed a 1:1 disconnection to game ratio.

There are two ways a game with Rancor will usually go. Either the Obsession dies and everyone else lives, or everyone else dies and the obsession dies. That's been my experience so far anyway.
-
Well you see, most people assume and firmly believe that the entire development team plays at the lowest ranks. Therefore any killers they create that have the potential to be viable at high ranks would have to be made to be OP at their rank level. However, no sane developer would intentionally design an enemy so difficult to beat that they themselves couldn't beat it.
-
Dear god, I don't know how you people are mentioning me, but I would like it to stop. Also to @dannyfrog87 , I am sorry about my earlier statements. I just played a few rounds of survivor and dealt with pallet bs. There is an actual problem present and it needs to be addressed.
-
While I like the new killer and the perks, in theory, this update has been nothing but trouble for me. First-off Deliverance is busted. I tested it on multiple games and each time the perk just did not do as intended. I performed safe unhooks and instead of granting me a free escape off of a hook it just sped up my death. Secondly, pallets have become broken for me. I have repeatedly "dropped" pallets at the correct time only to have the pallet remain upright half the time while I get hit all the same. Furthermore, I have been observing peak disconnections in all categories. Don't get me wrong, I like the new music, the new killer, the new map, new perks (on paper), and the increased framerate. I just wish that there were fewer problems.
-
I've been using it and getting safe unhooks with no success. I get the safe unhook, but then Deliverance betrays me by just not activating. The perk will light up, but when I attempt to escape it fails. This might be the first time a broken perk is actually broken.
-
Well I paid all I got was the default.

@TheReverendLambchops @TheBean You folks saw my most recent posts right?

So to summarize, buy with shards, if you're out, then cash. Don't use cells.

The DLC does not come with extra cosmetics for cash buyers. There is no penalty for buying with shards at the time of this post. -
It's about to finish installing. I'll get you folks your data ASAP.
-
Be sure to verify this fact with evidence, lest you give the annoyed killer mains hope.

Nobody wants to play as the son of Etika and Preston Garvey? What happened to the pebble memes?

Well I have purchased the dlc, now I am just waiting on the update to finish installing.

Hi there, 669 hours here, not every pallet drop will be safe. From what I can understand you need to be facing the killer on the opposite side of the pallet for a safe drop. Aside from that it's all luck.

-
The devs intentionally nerfed the pallet lunge hits.dannyfrog87 said:so since this change basically the hit we would of got is now gone when they removed pallet vacuum or am i the only one who feels its like this? i tried with bing bong but nope the animation to bring the pallet down is so fast its absurd not to mention in the game i had the survivors 2 of them jumped the pallet but then twice in a row ended up back on my side lol then jumped back over again. not sure if that was latency or a general pallet issue? .... question is did this fix the issue though of being on the pallet side and going to throw it with no response when you press the button etc
-
Supposedly it will be released in the coming weeks.
-
Since I wasn't there and I can't look into your past my guess is you had some lag issues. That or you foolishly assumed that you can run through a pallet and drop it instantly behind you.
-
And? That's working as intended.McCree said:@Peasant said:
The pallet speed is only buffed if you are facing it. You still do the spin when you run through it.No... I literally mean I was on a side of the pallet and the killer was on the other side. The pallet went down before he hit me. He got stunned and I stil got hit.
-
Just remember, you're the one who brought Empathy.Shadoureon said:This is my own opinion but I dont like where this game is heading with all new perks and adjusted perks given aura reading. It feels like the only way they can buff killers is by giving them truesight of survivors. Dont get me wrong I understand killers using these perks because I use Empathy. But it feels like a cheat knowing when im absolutely save while repairing.
The game is losing its feel. What do you guys think?
