What we need to do is get some toxic survivors with their own channels to make content then trick you know who into using it. A few swift copyright strikes should sink his ship, eh?

@MandyTalk But how else am I to recognize my fog friends?

@Shad03 Nah, it'd be Michael Myers. His final smash is a mori.

@Hoodedfengm1n I know about that. I am just trying to help spread the word.

I used Nvidia ShadowPlay to record the gameplay and HitFilm Express to edit.
@No_Mither_No_ProblemWell, guess I'll have to one up you someday with Bandicam Free and Windows Movie Maker.

Rare photograph of a survivor that likes playing against Freddy Krueger:

Also, if you happen to play a killer like Huntress or Spirit or something that can be hard to master feel free to use them as practice dummies.
I find the most success when using them as hatchet targets since they usually just stay for heal points as long as you avoid getting too close.

Honestly people lurking at the gates have always been somewhat entertaining for me. For starters, it's a solid risk for them. If they get downed far enough away or at the wrong angle you can grab them. Furthermore, if you have Franklin's Demise you can steal their stuff. The real reason I don't care is that I find that they are offering you BPs and sometimes just want WGLF tokens. Each successful hit is 500BP. If all 4 survivors stay at the gate and you get just one hit in that's 2000BP. If they let you get a few more hits in you might be looking at 3000BP or 4000BP.
So if folks are being rude and make you not want to got to the gate, just think of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nVoqbnCtwg

@Helstar I hate to break it to you but most people in the game are either normal, toxic, or entitled.
What do I mean?
Most folks just play to win
Some folks play to bully
Some folks play until they're not having fun anymore , so then they immediately disconnect.
Honestly, we all sort of embrace all of these categories at least once in our time playing Dead by Daylight.
I was toxic once when I was just getting started because I was new and was angry I kept dying and was watching a certain Spaniard's compilations to get better at looping because I didn't know better.
I was entitled once and would always DC against the Pig.
Though thankfully all of that is in the past now, and I play normally now.

When you dodge items, cosmetics, and survivors whom you don't even know are SWF but just seem like it to you that's what I mean , those people want to cry about balance but have you ever stopped to think they may not rank up as high if they played those games instead of dodging and then the game could better find a match more appropriate to their skill? How hard is that to understand
@OrionsFury4789 Ah, I see what you mean now. I personally try to avoid dodging lobbies. The most recent lobby I have ever dodged was just some flashlight spammer in the PTB just because his clicking was annoying and I just had him last game. However in general I will play games against any lobbies the game throws at me. It can be 2 flashlights it can be 4 toolboxes, I don't care about the outcome of my matches anymore. I got to rank 1 the other day and all I saw were de-rankers. The fun of Dead by Daylight is meeting the different players. That, and trying to scare the hope out of every player I meet.
I wish people wouldn't dodge but I honestly don't put it past them. I have had times where I queue up and then as survivors start to enter I remember I wanted to wash the dishes or something so I leave. Was the "dodge" irritating for them? Sure, but most folks don't like afk games either so I will go with the lesser of the two evils.

And with the influx of problems killers are causing by not playing the game as intended wouldn't you agree they deserve that right revoked? Especially now that they've had the opportunity to abuse it 2-3 times longer than survivors ever did at this point and it's a serious problem causing veteran members to leave the game.
". . . not playing the game as intended. . ."
What's this, now?!

It's a hot mace. The censer has spikes on the corners and it is always burning something. It looks genuinely painful to be hit with.

Yeah! Down with the ranks!
Just wait until I get the last 2 survivor rank achievements.

Why in god's name are they DCing? I can't even get a full lobby, on either side.
What rank are you at? I was getting lobbies just fine earlier when I played, both sides, too.

Please don't. Please don't make anything related to Trypophobia. If the next killer is related to lampreys i'm gonna scream.
Honesty I wouldn't be surprised if in honor of the "New Killer is The Bee" meme the devs add a walking beehive as the killer.
It's still human shaped, but the flesh has been corrupted with dark honeycombs poking out of the skin while honey and nectar drip down the legs.

The puking and the notifications are completely irrelevant^^
Yesterday I would've called you mad. After having played her earlier though I couldn't agree more. More often then not @Hoodedfengm1n the killer won't let you get away as they'll just puke at you until you're broken for that sweet M1 down.

I said in my post"No detection perks" I figured that people would naturally assume whispers was included in that since it is a detection perk, just not as accurate as others.
I see, my apologies.
Though I must say that I have on one occasion gotten a random locker grab just from dumb luck.
It was on the Thompson House and I had spawned by the killer shack. I went to the nearest corner and thought "a survivor must've spawned here." Sure enough I opened a locker and got a free Meg. Do while a very select handful of killers hack. I can't help but think that this is just more of a case of you having bad luck.

People hyped about Head On don't know about this one thing:
-
I would just like to point out that the Corrupt Purge can either be a rail gun or buckshot attack.
Suppose you stumble across a healthy survivor as the Plague with Corrupt Purge charged. When you fire corrupt purge you injure the survivor and send them forward. If you can maintain contact and have enough Corrupt Purge left over, then you can hit them a second time with the power, downing them.
Or if aiming is not your forte you can quickly shake your head with Corrupt Purge charged to fire a line of pain about 2 chests long straight in front of you. This line of pain can also hit multiple survivors.
Sure her Vile Purge isn't great for much other than weakening survivors for a M1 attack. However, being able to basically have hatchet buckshot is awesome!
-
Appearance wise I'd give her a solid 8.
Gameplay wise, I'd give her a solid 9.
The Plague has a lot of good things going for her. For starters, she's tall, really tall. Slap a FOV perk on her and she'll get a lot of use out of it. In terms of her power: it's a skill power. People wouldn't shut up about how Legion takes no skill so now, we have the skill killer.
Here's how she works:
- Beginning of game, charge up Vile Purge
- Find a survivor and try to get all of your vomit on them.
- Vomit at them until they are broken.
- Then M1.
- Hook or slug survivor.
- Look for other survivors.
- Use fountain to charge power
- Shake your head (like you're fiercely saying NO) to have a buckshot ranged attack. Or focus all of the blast on a survivor to just gun them down from healthy (requires great aim)
- Repeat as necessary
She's fun and can be an effective killer. You just need to have skill in order to win with her.

I've never come across this as a survivor, but it sounds quite funny. Tho it may be a tad difficult to get it rightt based on camera angles. It could also be possable the killer becomes transparent. Not too sure tbh.
This actually sound's cool, not gonna lie. Maybe if a survivor is near death on hook I'll come over just to Frenzy into their camera?

OH GOD THEY ARE CHANGING TOTEM SPAWNS
They are genuinely difficult to find in the PTB.
-
@MMIT62 Well look at the bright side: The Plague killer spawns with fountains. So, if you stumble across one by chance, then you will know what's coming ahead of time.
(The fountains can spawn in chest or generator spawn locations and is the only prop in game that has a running water sound effect, I think.)

So it is not possible to pip as a killer now?
Actually, since so many survivors DC on the live build they may have actually broken the rank system with this.
Normally I'd just say that the devs made the system much harder. However, since just 1 DC can damn you and since so many survivors DC killers might not actually be able to rank up high enough to stay with survivors. Red Ranks on survivor might actually become infinite lobbies as killers just won't be able to escape the low ranks after the next reset.

Right, because getting everyone with Borrowed Time killed is definitely going to help you escape that camper.
Sorry, my bad. I forgot you could use Deliver- wait you hook farm, NVM.

@The_Crusader said:
Campers/tunnelers mostly depipped anyway. The downside to this is the game is going to be awful for new players or returning players as there will be the most borinf, unfun killers at low ranks.
Similar to how low rank survivor is full of all the disconnectors.
You say that like survivors don't DC at higher ranks.
(I know I main Legion, but seriously?)

I played a Plague match earlier and slugged for a 4k. Got all four kills.

Right, because getting everyone with Borrowed Time killed is definitely going to help you escape that camper.

That's what happens when you can't win chases. Maybe you should get better at chases.
I'm sorry @BACKSTABBER but after an earlier post from you regarding sabotaging other survivors and helping the killer I genuinely think that you getting camped and beaten is karma.
In all of your posts the scenarios suggest you were farming or being toxic only be to beaten by bugs or players more skilled than yourself. If you play kinder with your allies perhaps you'll have far less trouble in games.
-
Punishing people for hitting hooked survivors is unwise. It has been discovered that quickly smacking hooked survivors will silence their hook scream and replace it with the quieter standard attack scream. This is a good thing for killers to do once they hook someone so they can better listen for injured moans or grass rustling.
-
@Orion said:
Hitting on the hook. That's the only thing I consider toxic (at least of everything that's happened to me).
Now are you referring to just a quick "love tap" after hooking you toxic? Or are you referring to the tenderizer style hook beating?
-
@Eveline said:
You are right about red ranks lol. But even with ruin it is less than 5 minutes.
Well depending on how things go some survivors refuse to leave which takes up another minute to herd them to the gates.
-
Game duration in a nutshell:
Ranks 5+ 3-4 minutes without Ruin
Ranks 5+ 4-6 minutes with Ruin
Ranks 10-6 8-10 minutes no Ruin
Ranks 10-6 10-12 minutes with Ruin
Ranks 15-10 10-15 minutes no Ruin
Ranks 15-10 15-20 minutes with Ruin
Feel free to correct me if my memory is failing me.
