@Shad03 I'd love to take a look at your idea Shad, but I am afraid I don't know where it is.
-
@Iceman My whole idea is that the Frenzy is not something you earn as you still need it to get around the map. I just wanted to remove the annoyance of constantly mending as survivor while also finding a way to shut down moon walkers. My suggested change prevents Legions from just spamming Frenzy and stabbing one survivor until they die and instead forces them to actually get a normal attack in. For folks that actually know what they're doing it should be simple enough. It should only pose a challenge for people that relied on the broken mechanic of Deep Wounds.
I should add that I intended Legion's Broken status effect (that would replace Deep Wounds to only be temporary and have a timer, like Deliverance.)

Speaking of the Plague, i am the only one who finds her annoying as hell with the constant back and forth to fountains to cure yourself ?
@Plu Honestly, I really like the Plague. In fact I already plan on never curing myself just for the peasant memes. Also I will intentionally infect my allies as much as possible.

@PeasantI actually wouldn’t mind that idea. Is it that you fail to mend you go broken? Because if so there needs to be a punishment for being injured. Maybe like blind survivors from seeing any auras such as gens, hooked survivors and auras.
@Iceman I originally meant that we should just remove "Deep Wounds" from Legion. The status effect annoys survivors with the tedious mending and is abused by moon walkers. By switching from Deep Wounds to Broken survivors no longer have to mend, moon walking dies instantly, and now Legion will "take skill" as you'll need to get a standard attack in with a 110% killer in order to down someone. Just repeatedly using Feral Frenzy won't down survivors anymore so you actually have to do a proper chase.

I’m just waiting for the devs to mention whatever plan they have for Legion.
How do you guys feel if the devs they stayed with their original idea of having Legion stalk before getting their power?
@Iceman Eh, I dunno. We already have a killer with a white mask and a knife that stalks people. I think the devs need the variety.
What they really need to do is swap out Deep Wounds with Broken for Feral Frenzy. Make each consecutive hit extend the timer by some amount of time (boosted by the knife add-ons). This prevents the moon walking exploit and it lets survivors loop Legion for as long as they like. Legion will need skill and mind games to get the normal M1 hit in for the down.
What do you guys think?
-
I don't understand why folks are so concerned about Spies from the Shadows since it just makes an existing tracking method better. After all, it takes a few seconds for crows to fly straight up. If you lose a survivor just listen for the caws of angry crows and look for them flying straight up.
-
I mean, I don’t mind it, at least it’s not the Chinese spam, but...I dunno, I don’t think it looks good for the forums if someone is trying to sell weed and counterfeit money on it, ya know?
@Chaotic_Riddle If I was a moderator they'd be gone by now. Since I'm not I guess we'll just wait?
Maybe if folks just bump all of the spammers to the top then when the mods come online they can delete them faster?
-
It needs a hard nerf or a complete re-work Bc it’s incredibly broken on cwf. the type of advantage it can give a team is truly game breaking.
@HeroLives Please elaborate on how you could even begin to rework OoO.

Ouch.

@killakestrel Try the Hillbilly or Legion of you're new to killer. They both are pretty easy to start off with.

@Peasant that's true, doesn't the exposed status also counter bt?
@NoodleLegs From what I've seen, no.

maybe! idk, i never run it because imo it wastes a perk slot for smth like... balanced landing. but maybe, you never know how things turn out. @Peasant
@NoodleLegs I'm just going to warn you now that Bubba's Frenzy counters BT. The 4 swings can counteract BT and still leave 2 swings for you.
-
@NoodleLegs said:
oof, same, but i got called garbage once for not getting a survivor because leatherface was camping. i didn't have bt.
@NoodleLegsYou say that like BT would've made a difference.
-
New achievement: as the Legion, have all four survivors disconnect from the trial.
@Orion Nah man, you gotta bring Franklin's Demise and Frank's Mixtape. That way folks will be forced to stay or lose their item, and the Mixtape will ensure that they run and don't just pick it up again out of fear.
-
I did some searching on a map after almost everyone DC'd against me as Legion and guess what I found?
Gas cans already exist and have a model! All you need is some coding and what do you know? New secondary objective!

YOU'RE OPINION IS WRONG AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD FOR HAVING IT!
[INSERT ANGRY LOGICAL FALLACY'S HERE]
@NuclearBurrito Rin's father would have been a cooler design. I say we dig him up and have him finish what he started!
It's time to exorcise this Spirit!
-
I responded to your survey. I honestly hate everything about Spirit. Legions can be annoying, but at least you can freaking see them!
She's unfun for me to play as or against.

@Eveline I often use one of the below sets:

Why not remove the BP portion and just make that passive and based off how well you do on the emblems... the better you do.. the better the multiplier. Modify the ranges back to way it was.
Then we can see a drop in BBQ usage based on what you say.
Why make it more of a "take-able"???.. The idea would be to have less people using it.
"How about no?!"
-
New killer perk: Critical Hit!
Each time you successfully hit a survivor (grabs do NOT count) you gain a token.
After getting 2 tokens your next successful attack will put the struck survivor immediately into the dying state.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Fascinating. Perhaps you have somehow become cursed to receive a notification whenever I make a post now?
-
@Kikki All you need to do is dodge the hatchets, although that's easier said than done.
The way Huntresses aim are as follows: They will wait until you drop a pallet or vault a window to get you during the animation.
The will throw between cover and you when you're in the open and running to cover.
They will charge the hatchet to full power and then throw it towards you.
So you need to vault and drop pallets early, run towards cover and be ready to quickly change direction. Lastly, if they throw the hatchet towards you, you can try to duck if you heard the chime noise as that means the hatchet will move in a straight line, perhaps even straight over you.
-
Sometimes survivors force hook chasing and tunneling upon themselves Bc they unhook their teammate while the killer is near or chasing them.
I remember a week or two ago I spared a Claudette as Legion on Haddonfield because she had an (Explicitive referring to a donkey or posterior) Visconti farming her.
-
@Kaalaxi said:
The only OP insta-down is huntress iridescent head.
Only if you can actually aim and the survivor is out in the open and bad at dodging hatchets.
-
@Kaalaxi said:
Some killers still find looping to be "toxic" even though that's how you play well as survivor. Had a huntress lag switch me after missing all her hatchets on a short loop she could throw over then face camp me all in the first minute of the game. I just laughed, and played the next game. I find it funny when they camp since its probably a "loss" for them and they get no points.
I can remember when I first started playing killer that I hated Loopers with a passion. Nowadays I just find them boring.
People always tell me that the chase is the most fun part of the game, but looping just doesn't feel right. It's like NASCAR in a way: "Another left hand turn!" I dunno. I just wish survivors had an alternative to running in a circle.
-
I admit if it's a P3 nurse then yes. I feel like anyone who Prestige Nurse is super good. Even on my nurse (Have not Prestige at all), people would still DC.

It MIGHT be good on Pig, whose traps need gens done and deny survivors the exit gate.
So you might be able to do some Pig build with Fire Up, NOED, Bloodwarden, and Dark Sense. But I don't really know.

@BoxingRouge said:
I mean notice how meta it would be with sloppy butcher and it would take survivors basically a whole minute to self care once, it’s would’ve been unbalanced and broken if that went live.
Yeah, it's a darn shame there's not some perk coming out that let's you partially heal yourself while healing another survivor.
-
@Mushwin While that would be nice I am afraid that there are just too many (insert whatever explicit noun you want here)s in the community. I have tried several times after having lost the trial to give the hatch, only for folks to run out the gates out of fear of NOED.
If such a code was made then it would quickly be ignored because some (repeat previous explicit noun here)s would abuse it just for a "cheeky" kill that doesn't change the fact that they still lost.
It's a nice idea @Mushwin but one that would be abused.
-
I periodically will have these "bump and grind" moments during chases where I just decide to not hit the survivor so I just walk directly behind them and folks usually lose their minds frantically spinning and dodging a swing that won't be coming for a while.
This is especially entertaining on Legion as folks expect me to be a tryhard deep wounds abuser.
-
@Warlock2020 BBQ and Chili is rather different than DS so I am very surprised you'd compare the two.
You see, Decisive Strike before the change punished the killer for doing well and rewarded the survivor for doing poorly. The killer would win a chase and then receive a free stun and have to waste more time because they succeeded. Yet the survivor who failed and got caught just gets to run away. This is bad perk design because it punishes success and rewards failure.
Meanwhile BBQ and Chili rewards the killer for succeeding. Furthermore it punishes the survivor for failing to escape. The killer won the chase and so they get a hook and a BP multiplier token. "A reward well deserved." The survivor who failed now has to deal with the fact that they just revealed their allies because they failed. (Unless they are within the radius, behind a generator, or in a locker, or have distortion tokens.) This is good perk design, someone succeeded and got rewarded while someone who lost was punished.
Back to the topic of the OP
@harry14141414 The fact that Decisive can be countered with Enduring is a nessecary change as it enables counter play. Most mechanics in DBD have counters in place however, for the longest time DS had almost no counters. DS's primary counters were to use an exploit or juggle. Both of which were unreliable and didn't really counter DS much as they avoided the perk. Juggling didn't counter DS, it just delayed it. However, now killers can pick a perk to actively counter another perk. Just like survivors can pick perks like Adrenaline to avoid healing and rush generators or pick Distortion to counter BBQ, soon Kindred will complete destroy campers. Counters make the gameplay more interesting and it's a good feature.
-
What really bugs me about the Thanatophobia change is the fact that their new healing perk would counter it.
-
I second @Hoodedfengm1n's opinion. Thanatophobia is already one of the weaker perks in killer loudouts. While I can understand why you would want to avoid buffing the perk now a nerf seems irrational.
-
@HatCreature said:
I knew this would happen, they didn't even say why they didn't like it or why it was taken out. They said they'll add in a new buff for it along with buffs to other perks, probably in the mid-chapter but still, I was so excited for this.
I'm telling you, after the DS rework they want to nerf a killer perk to avoid another review bomb.
-
@The_Crusader said:
Pretty good buff so far.
They should at least just leave it as it is. 6/9/12/15.
I wonder if this is Legion related.
@The_Crusader Probably done just to avoid another review bomb after the DS change.
-
@Nikkiwhat said:
I feel they did this because of the DS changes..... "Can't change DS and buff a Killer perk" Thantophobia ia greatly designed Perk,,promoting the Killer to find and injure as many Survivors in as short of an amount of time as possible...which dissuades tunneling a Survivor over an over...but sure...nerf it *rolls eyes*
So they nerfed a perk that discouraged tunnelling?
You know what that means folks!
IT'S TUNNEL TIME!

So as you guys might be aware some folks have been claiming Legion is brain dead. This here is a screenshot of the post game from what was my last DBD game for now.
I'll still be around on the forums, but the number of bugs regarding loading screens and just getting into matches is simply intolerable.

This game is estimated to last for 5 more years, Legacy could be added into the newer characters to make players currently be capable of knowing "Hey, I played during year 3 of dbd" and have proof of this, why I said year 3 is this event could occur as the anniversary event, so its exactly year 3 and the original legacy could get like, color changes to them @Peasant (god I hate doing @ and not just quoting)
While your idea sounds reasonable you're forgetting about the liscenced survivors as well as how such an event will work.
Last event offered cosmetics and folks were whining about the grind.
Additionally, you don't need to have a cosmetic to announce your presence or experience. Folks achievements have dates so if people actually care about how long you have been playing they can just look at those.

You are breaking my balls @Peasant, your breaking them
I just feel like Legacy should remain locked to the original 5.
-
The newer survivors such as Feng min, Adam francis, David king, Kate denson, etc, should have legacy for there own event, because we cannot get the 5 legacy…
I dunno, just doesn't feel right.

If anyone wants to complain that the new proposed Fatigue wouldn't matter because of Bloodhound or Sloppy Butcher I would just like to point out that that's the whole point of using the perks, to counter weaknesses.

My biggest issue with both sides is manual DCs. I don't even care anymore what you do in-game, just play the darn thing!
