A problem I see with this is survivors stealthly fueling all gens and only after that they'd start to repair, especially swf. This means the first minutes as killer will be spent roaming the map doing nothing and not gaining real time by this.
A possible solution would be to make moving with canisters very noisy and slow, and there would be needed a timer in which a gen can be repaired before needing to resupply.
@White_Owl I appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. On the subject of gas cans I thought that they would make stealth more difficult as you are now holding a rather uniquely colored large item in your off hand. However I am prepared to make them more risky in several times ways (from making noise notifications louder and showing the can aura to flat out revealing the aura of anyone running with a gas can.) However, I don't know what should be done yet as these ideas are in their infancy.

Geeg, people still care about cosmetics? Thought everyone is pissed lol
@HavelmomDaS1 I'm just annoyed with the smug jerks that gloat that they have 10 second queue times again while high rank killer players and console survivor players have immeasurable queue times.
I actually am rather content aside from that.

Why does Legion need a rework in the first place? Just because some people hate going against them?
@Yamaoka Legion needs a rework because their add-ons are inconsistently powerful and people are abusing their mechanic Deep Wounds to get cheese kills they frankly don't deserve.
I like playing Legion and I don't exploit with them, but I'm willing to play as a crappier killer if it shuts down the moon walking exploit.

I used to main doctor for quite some time till I realized he only does well against random solo players because he's the best tracker in the game but is just overall awful against aggressive teams who don't care about being found because his ability doesn't help much in a chase.
Sometimes his ability even makes you lose time during a chase. I've shocked so many survivors just before a window or pallet and they still vaulted with no problem robbing me of hits and time. Not to mention the Doctor moves at a lousy 110% in treatment mode and less than 100% whilst shocking.
@Yamaoka The thing about the Doctor is that he is an absolute god at generating BP and he is slightly better in a chase than Clown in my eyes.
The power can be annoying to use at first but you just have to charge it early. For example, at a classic T-Wall L-Wall you need to shock the window while you're staring at a wall if you're on the outside as by the time you actually round the corner the survivor will be at the vault and will use it if you didn't smack them with the 2-3 second debuff that prevents actions. You have to basically train yourself to figure out where survivors would be in a chase and then shock them a few seconds before they're safe to go in for a hit.

My main annoying point is I was in the corner of lerys picked up a survivor and the other three survivors were all crouching in front of me they weren't in the dream world but they body blocked me carrying a survivor in the corner. All three of them and the carried survivor broke free.
@douggie123 When you word it like that, that sounds more like a problem with Freddy than anything else.
-
How is that survivors body blocking a killer carrying a survivor isn't reportable isn't this causing a disadvantage to the killer.
@douggie123 Oh no! If only there were *cough* AGITATION *cough* perks to help killers *cough* MAD GRIT *cough* deal with this problem.

@Jonathanskilz The new system is bad because it prevents people from playing the game entirely. We NEED to make it slightly easier or something otherwise customers will be unable to enjoy the BHVR product they've purchased.

@Shad03 Well I made a rather "awesome" discovery about the Cold Joey combo. If you have Enduring and you lunge at a healthy survivor at a pallet (or was it a Feral Frenzy?) if you're lucky you can go through the pallet and get the stun on their side. Then the super fast stun recovery let's you do a 180 and grab the survivor if they try to vault away from you.
I've only done it once in my entire Legion "career" but holy heck was it satisfying. Both myself and the poor Feng I yoinked were thoroughly surprised. I think perhaps the Feral Frenzy cooldown add-ons might affect stuns in general, but who knows?
-
@Shad03 But did you snap into them like a Slim Jim?

@Peasant The thing is that you can't make sacrifice faster, it is going to break the game, just like you can't make generators go faster with certain perks. Monstrous shrine can never be good because of this reason.
I can understand for perk combos like BBQ ruin, enduring spirit fury, it is difficult to choose this perk and give up one of your meta perks but imo killer addons are far more powerful than killer perks.
Some of green addons are extremely powerful and I do believe that people actually use this version of the perk. Clown has bleach + 10% ether, spirit's all of green addons are great, Freddy has his range addon + dream transition reduction, Leatherface has his insta chainsaw (green + yellow), huntress has her babushka + braid etc.
I was kind of afraid people were gonna find it too powerful tbh, I am surprised.
@Delfador The thing that just doesn't sit right with me is keeping add-ons to be frank.
Survivors and Killers both have Black Wards for the purpose of keeping add-ons and survivors have a mechanic (escaping) to keep them as well. They way I see it, killers should have a built in mechanic to keep their add-ons instead of having another questionable design choice be fixed by a perk.
As for the fairness of speeding up sacrifices, I see no wrong here simply because survivors have had ways to speed up generators for ages. Not to mention, tool boxes and perks like Prove Thyself let survivors speed up their objective now.
I sincerely believe that making a perk that is accessible to all killers without needing to buy dlc or pray for the shrine to speed up sacrifices, as you get hooks, is perfectly fine.
I am still hammering out my ideas for a Monstrous Shrine rework but I do care about balance so I am carefully examaning my numbers.
Here's just a sample: (by no means my final suggestion)
Monstrous Shrine rework 1:
Each time you hook a survivor you gain a token, each token increases sacrifice speed by (x/y/z) up to a total of 20%-30%.
The Entity hungers! There must be sacrifice!
Monstrous Shrine rework 2:
You start the trial in the basement. While within a (8/16/32) meter radius of the basement your stun recovery time is reduced by 50% and your attack cool down is reduced slightly. (Was considering adding a movement buff instead of cool down but still open to suggestions.)
The basement is your home and their hell, destroy all who dare enter your domain.

I know that since I main Quentin currently I'm likely to use either Adept Quentin + Kindred or Kindred + Wake Up + Spine Chill + Botany Knowledge.

@Delfador While your idea has merit, I just don't see it happening. It seems too underpowered honestly to not be worth taking over perks like Whispers, BBQ and Chili, (Virgin) Ruin or (Chad) Corrupt Intervention, or Monitor and Abuse.
Furthermore, I just think that Monstrous Shrine should be more focused on the act of sacrificing rather than be a different buff that is powered by hooking.

Leatherface does take skill. You can't just pick him up and chainsaw survivors around obstacles, through doors, jungle gyms etc. without bumping into stuff causing the longest stun animation in the game. Also he has to mindgame survivors to get a chainsaw hit most of the time because good survivors are NEVER far away from a window or pallet.
Leatherface is the definition of high risk high reward. If you hit the survivor you get a hook - it you hit an obstacle you lose the chase (temporarily).
Legion on the other hand really takes very little skill. I've just bought Legion so my friend can play killer without the need to mindgame survivors. Pallets, windows, distances - nothing is much of a problem for Legion.
132% default speed in Frenzy which can be increased with addons, can vault pallets and windows like a survivor - yupp that's easy mode. Only thing that makes Legion bad is the fact they can't instadown.
@Yamoaka I play Legion regularly and while we lack a technical insta-down we do have the Cold Dirt + Joey's Mixtape combo that when used right is pretty much the next best thing.

Ok the add ons don't count to me because in 99% of my games I don't use anything beyond green add ons. It just doesn't interest me. I like fairly standard chill games.
So for me he's a 110% movement speed killer which makes it hard to get survivors down with him. He doesn't have hatches, traps or phase walking so he's on his own. He feels like using Huntress without hatches - awkward.
So then you use his power and boy does it suck. Ok I vaulted the pallet and hit a survivor. Now what? Oh they aren't down. Guess I'll hit them again. Oh they still aren't down and I'm stunned. Hmm maybe if I just keep doing it another 3 times that will work but boy is it taking a while.
Maybe I'll try a new strategy. I'll apply deep wounds then I'll manually end stun next to them. Hmm can i catch up to them before they get to another pallet? Oh no they reached a vault.
Hmm that wasn't very fun either. Whats optimal? I know, I'll hit them twice then follow them while staring at the floor. Hmm dont want to get too far that i cant follow them, but dont want to get too close that the chase counts. I know i'll look sideways or backwards. Hmm they keep running and running but im getting closer. Their bar is ticking down. They cant stop to heal. Its still taking a while though. I know this isnt fun when it happens to me but it seems the simplest way to get a survivor down.
Basically he sucks. Hes crap without his power and his power blows without purple add ons. I'd rather just take a normal killer and give the survivors a good whack. Even Freddy doesnt feel anywhere near as hindered as Legion.
@The_Crusader If you want chill games then let me reveal to you the real add-ons you should be focusing on (in order of importance/rarity)
- Cold Dirt - Considerably reduces Frenzy stun time
- Joey's Mixtape - Moderately reduces Frenzy stun time
- Julie's Mixtape - Slightly reduces Frenzy stun time
- Stolen Sketchbook - Extends Frenzy time a lot
- Mural Sketch - Extends Frenzy time a fair amount
- Mischief List - Extends Frenzy time a small amount
Focus on shrinking the stun time for your "chill games". Just find a survivor, use Frenzy to get them down from Healthy to Injured. Then use the refilled bar to get as close as physically possible. Keep an ear out for the heartbeat of others nearby and remember those areas for later. Then once you're close and it looks good, deactivate the Frenzy and the shorter stun let's you walk a step or two and lunge at the survivor. Down them and hook them and use the info from Killer Instinct during the chase to find another survivor nearby.

While I'm on the subject of the Plague, the most Evil thing you can do for now if you poured some of your points into Adiris (did that sound weird?) is get "Last Mask"s and Corrupt Intervention on Legion.
If you have decent luck you'll get Temple of Purgation and the survivors will be super excited, right up until they see one of their buddies get Deep Wounds, and then have half of the bar deplete.
If I could get a full BP refund for my Frank's Mixtapes and Stab Wound Studies I would, but I gotta use them sometime.
-
@Shad03 I use Quentin as my profile picture because I look rather similar to Quentin Smith (yes, the "ugly" DBD variant) in real life. Additionally, I like memeing about Pharmacy and since I see so little discussion about the perk sometimes consider myself one of the leading Clergymen of the "Church of Pharmacy."
I also like all of Quentin's perks as I like:
Knowing where the doors are at all times (as well as opening them faster)
I like a guaranteed Green Rarity item every game.
I like buffing allies near me.

@Poweas said:
It's more of the fact Enduring makes it useless. I believe Enduring should not affect it, then DS is in a solid spot.
@Poweas I must respectfully disagree with you on this. Enduring is a counter perk that counters stuns and Pallets, it should affect DS as DS is a stun perk and the Killer sacrifices a perk slot to choose Enduring.
-
@MagicalYummies Most survivor players seem to like playing against the Plague. Her fountains heal you so you don't even need to waste time healing and her basic power doesn't counter loops at all. Overall she just wastes her own time when using her power and gives you free heals.
Corrupt purge poses a threat to be sure, but the loud CLANG you hear right before she activates it gives you a clear signal to lay low for sixty seconds or so. Her main power is mainly an aesthetic decoration and her only real threat can be countered.

I feel this too honestly her biggest weakness is literally a wall which can even be found on popular loops so when you can just loop her around a wall idk I don't have fun trying to infect someone for a damn long time only for a 4 man escape to happen. Where as legion I just use legion as more of my bp killer, killer I use to get blood points.
@KillermainBTWm8 What makes this worse is that my Legion build let's me avoid tunneling survivors. (BBQ + Whispers + Monitor and Abuse + Corrupt Intervention) Legion's own power (Killer Instinct) helps me find nearby targets and BBQ lets me keep an eye on the distant ones. Whispers helps me stay on survivors while CI buys me time. I can go from survivor to survivor and always be shifting pressure so the survivors all get some pressure but nobody is crushed by it.
Meanwhile in a Plague match:
The best Plague strats right now are:
- Camp the last fountain
And:
- Tunnel Survivors with Corrupt Purge
(Also don't forget that the pay is terrible.)
I look at the two and I know that I'll pick Legion every single time.

Unfun to play Plague? Are you guys insane?
@Kagrenac Maybe it's just me, but the feeling of "Whee vomit everywhere" fades after the 20th 4 man escape. It doesn't help that I can play Legion and have a blast and rack in anywhere between 20-65k BP or the Plague where I'm lucky if I get 20k.
-
". . . how much BP they earned"
You might've escaped Ace, but while you have just a sad, 15k BP I have more than 3 times that myself. Have fun grinding Visconti.

Although I find her fun to play against, I find her much of a challenge to play as. I am still trying to get a grasp of her power. I do love her concept and design but overall it hasn’t been doing it for me. I will say she is really great for end game if you still have fountains that are corrupted.
@Iceman But how is she good in the end game? She needs to first walk all the way to a corrupted fountain and then walk all the way to a door to even use the power. Then, by the time you finally arrive she's already too late and she can't actually down anyone because the door is open.
-
Okay guys, so I want some honest feedback: What are your thoughts on the Plague?
I know that we're primarily Legion mains here, but I imagine some of us tried out the Plague at least for a short while, or the achievements.
I personally find her a rather disappointing killer, but I'm eager for everyone else's thoughts.
-
I hope this is only happening to me, but plague games are really hard to find, i have been playing all day long and i havent faced a single plague.
"She is not in my top five . . . you guys should give her a chance." Just an observation of hypocrisy.
Now the Plague has several things going against her, but the reason I don't play her anymore is her awful BP income. I can get more BP than her on SURVIVOR if I get a good game, and all of my other killers beat her in this aspect as well.
So already her low BP income deters me, but then when I objectively examine her I just get really depressed honestly. She had so much potential but the direction the devs took her was okay during the PTB. Post-PTB and she's just a disappointment.
-
Enduring is a counter perk. It's entire existence is based on being able to counter survivor perks. It needs to be a strong perk to be worth a perk slot so I feel that it is balanced.

@deathsia Legion can be on so many differing power levels mainly due to the add-ons at their disposal.
Many will clam that Frank's Mixtape + Stab Wound Study (or Cold Dirt) is Legions best combo, but I know better. Both of these add-ons require 3 Frenzy hits with limited Frenzy duration.
The actual best add-on combo is Cold Dirt + Joey's Mixtape, just get the first hit with Feral Frenzy and then get as close as possible, then cancel Frenzy and get a quick M1 in after the 2 second cool down. It takes only 1 Frezy stab and 1 M1 for a total of 2 hits with this combo. (Compared to the 3 hits both Frank's combos have.)
Legion can do better with perks that buy and save time like Corrupt Intervention and Whispers, you just NEED at least uncommon add-ons if you actually want to get a kill.
My newest perk strategy is to use Monitor and Abuse for better ambushes. Then when Killer Instinct activates I do a quick spin if I hear a heartbeat to see where the next closest target is. Then just finish he chase and hook to use BBQ to get intel on the far away people while using the info from Killer Instinct to get the next survivor, rinse and repeat until they stop moving.
