I know, id love changes for them as well! But unfortunately, i think the devs have given up on such an amazing killer, and this change will leave all the good twins players behind... And the rest who played them campy will be left... They need a full rework! But considering they haven't got 1 skin since release(Skins are made more if the character is played more/the devs care about them) its looking like they dont want us playing them all together! What a shame honestly...
#JusticeForTwins #RevertChanges
Maybe we should do a straight camp with twins montage/compilation. If we were to play every game as camping twins, eventually we'd annoy enough people maybe they'd have to address them, and camping victor is the most egregious way to play them.
I'm willing to play only twins in only that way until they get addressed properly... Seriously, they ######### up the last two killers, and we can't be waiting two years for them to revisit these characters. Maybe we can make them see BIG DATA

In my opinion, things like keys and iri head are inherently toxic and not necessary for one to win at all. I also don't see how it can be fun to limit chase interaction (which is supposed to be the fun part of the game) by insta downing people (unless you're a bad huntress that needs to reload multiple times in any given chase) or to rely on a clearly broken crutch item to get an escape which ultimately means nothing.
These do enable toxic behavior, as in purposefully making the game unfun for the other side by choosing to run broken and outdated stuff, and anybody who denies one of them does is biased.
How could I be biased if I enjoy fun on both sides? What would I be biased against in this scenario you presented me? If I loved both it head and keys, it would sound to me that I'm actually unbiased and just like fun.
But I didn't even say all that, all I said was Toxic is usually used interchangeably with anything that makes the game easier on one side or makes something funner on one side at the others expense. It's a game, it's not toxic, chill.

Is there a compilation somewhere? Lol I'd love a montage

While you are technically correct that the new legion has some counterplay, I believe bringing back the ability to stab somebody in deep wounds again would be a mistake.
The purpose of Feral Frenzy is for team-slowdown and mobility - it's not there to shorten chases. What you are proposing just makes Legion a better tunneler. And while I personally don't have an issue with tunneling, I'd rather you don't give a killer an ability that makes tunneling the most efficient way to play them. Legion is already a bit of a one-trick poney. Your proposal will just turn him into a one-trick pony that tunnels.
Actually, the way they are describing this I think it would be less effective than playing Legion as he is played now (with the added benefit of giving him SOME agency when he needs to actually go for a down)
Legion already loses scratch marks in Feral, so it's a complete lie to say he can't be countered out of Feral frenzy if he were to regain this trait. His momentum can work against h and a well timed juke will trigger a miss and long stun (as he works now) so I think giving him some incentive to re-stab the same survivor (for some benefit, whether that be reduced mend time or some other debuff. Hell, maybe even a buff of some kind instead for Legion) wouldn't be a big deal, especially since you can no longer moonwalk chase survivors to get cheesy downs (which was the only real issue of old legion as far as being unfair to play against goes)
Right now, the counterplay to legion is simply spread out, rush gens when you see the mend bar under someone, and if he finds you first and rushes, just tank the hit so you can get back to rushing gens while he ######### off into the sunset. Good legions who aren't getting any aura triggers after a hit will just try to cancel out and chase you anyway, but they have to deal with the stun that's usually enough time to get to a loop if you're aren't on the dead zone, meaning he gets meager reward in getting an initial hit from frenzy. Giving him back some incentive to stab someone multiple times not only makes a lot more sense from a character and lore perspective (Unless I missed the part about commiting multiple hit and runs) but it would make his power more useful than simply being a melee attack with a minor inconvenience and a decent tracker mechanic attached.
-
Man, tbh I don't give a ######### anymore. They released him as he is due to arrogance.. He's the worst full released killer we've ever gotten. After this, I'm only buying killers with shards going forward. I feel like BHVR gave me a big FU when they released this killer for purchase. So many anti-consumer be going jg on at companies right now, and no one in support willing to listen.
And I can tell I'm not the only one feeling this way. Even Scott Kind keeps making passive aggressive videos about how poorly the devs explain their decisions and selectively listen. It's not even difficult to figure out what the killer needs at a base. Ricochet and no more laceration degeneration would already be a good start (even if he needs more than that pretty sure)

Having knives not decay would be a good start. What a stupid concept, like who decided knives wounds should just heal themselves? In what aspect does that fit the lore of the entity?

Well, the way I see it, the new killer I got today was blight, because before this patch he was pretty much unplayable for me on Console, but now I finally get all the hype people put on him and he's a blast.

I don't want to just pile on, but yea, this killer is trash. He's so bad. Most killers in this game punish you for using my a power incorrectly or at the wrong time, but this is the only killer who puts himself at a major disadvantage just for using the power....
Almost anytime you can use his power in a meaningful way, you could just melee instead and avoid the risk of missing or not getting enough knives into a survivor. What's the point of hitting the knives anyway, you won't be in a position to hit the survivor with knives again once they realize you are committed to throwing them, especially not with the bullshit recoil (that I'm sure is bad on PC, but on Console is downright ridiculous)
So you're best option is to commit to chase at 110% speed... It's really just like the worse inverse of Legion and Deathslinger..
Also, I may he alone on this, but I don't like what they did to Wraith much either. I don't think he was that bad but the slowdown from decloak just feels... Unnatural. Maybe It'll just take time, but so far I'm not a fan.

I like the twins, but I'd take anything coming their way with open arms because I just enjoy the mechanic of switching characters

I know it's an easy copout to post Scott Jund content, but today is one of those kinda days to remember this.
I played in those Toxci MWF 2 lobbies Scott is talking about. I myself was very Toxic in some of those lobbies... But to say DBD isn't just as toxic, well he's a streamer on PC, his experience does NOT encompass all experiences of DBD players. I have literal hundreds of toxic messages from players of this game going out of their way after the game to message me on PS4, saying all kinds of ######### including the group messages where they say GG EZ GIT GUD, #########, and of course all the slurs people love to complain about.
Scott is just particularly lucky if he doesn't see how toxic this game can be. Of course the Toxicity has died down A Lot and I barely get any messages any more, but at one point this was absolutely the game where I got the most negative comments (and judging from some of the old steam profiles of folks who played this game back then, it wasn't exactly exclusive to ps4.

If I'm being absolutely fair....I don't hate that review or rating.
How many of us have stuck around in some form or another, playing this game for the last 4-5 years? Seriously, I can't think of a single game released in my adult life that I've devoted as many hours as I have DBD. It IS technically the greatest Assymetrical game to exist at this point in time, and that is a feat considering how many of us remember Evolve and really wanted that game to be amazing (and I still secretly hope someone will bring that concept to fruition with better execution)
This game literally carved it's own niche, even had imitator games based on it. It's a cult classic. It's a pocket gem. I'm probably amongst the most critical of this game in many aspects, I find alot of things to disagree with... But I usually come back after some time. And when I think back to those original feelings I would get playing this game, the highs and lows... Yea, I don't think it's too indulgent to give the game such a high remark.
Hell, call me crazy, but given it basically inventing a staple genre, I could see the case for it being a 10 in some eyes... I think 9 is as high as I'd possibly go, personally, but think of this game in terms of say, a tetris in 1970whenever the hell it came out.. It created a space that didn't exist to the same degree before. A whole new formula of game interaction. From that perspective, it deserves its flowers.

I mean if survivor escape too qucikly/without chases they depip too. Nobody gets hooked, they don't get any benevolent points. No chases? No evader emblem.
See that's different though because in that instance, the survivors are being punished for having an AFK/really bad killer who doesn't chase enough to give even one survivor an emblem.
Gens may go fast, but not so fast that if a killer actually plays the game, the survivors will just depip. If a survivor never gets hooked in 5 minutes, thats a bad killer and survivors shouldn't be punished for that either
-
@EvanSnowWolf said:
The Entity feeds off pain, suffering, despair, and other negative emotions. It wanted it a meal and you handed it three M&Ms. Of course it is displeased. You ended the game as fast as you could so all your emblems are garbage. MMR has nothing to do with it.
Next time play with your food a little bit better.
So the Onus is on killers to play the game less well, not on the survivors to play better...
That's a crap system. It should stand to reason if those Survivors are blown out of the water by you, they depip and you rank upward. Showing mercy to bad teams is not a skill, it just shows why matchmaking in this game is broken. Frankly, the way it is now only proves Trutalent is correct in that the killer win condition is and should be based on hooks, not kills.

Not you refusing to see this from my perspective?
No?
I get it, I'm ignorant cause I don't agree with you. I get it now.
Dude, It's not ignorance to understand your viewpoint and still disagree with it. I can see why you would say since both killer and survivor could use stretch res, it's not unfair because it's available to both.
The issue is two fold - for one thing, survivor absolutely benefit much more from stretch res than killer does, because the killer is playing in first person stretch res barely does anything for them, but allows survivors to basically have a bird's eye view from a third person perspective. Inherently unbalanced.
The other issue is when you don't see how unfair this is in a cross-platform game.. I'll never be able to benefit from stretch res on a ps4. It's not fair to expect that I should.habe to just accept that because I can't modify things outside the game, the more reasonable expectation is that people shouldn't be trying to game the system.for an advantage and only use the resources available to everyone within the game itself.
If you ever need to understand how much taking advantage of resources outside of the game effects of, look at the difference in performance between solo survivors and SWF with Comms.

What is this strawman BS you guys keep putting out there? Of course people would want to get rid of outside, unintended advantages in this game. Why would you assume anyone here supports any of that? Only because YOU do..
I can't believe there are people in this community (very new, obviously) who think modifying files in the game is a fair advantage to play for in what is essentially a giant game of hide and seek.. Like that's actually pathetic.

I also don't think you can base balance decisions only on stats but atleast the dc Part of your argument is not correct.
Did they say they outright removed games that had DC's in them or simply that they didn't include DC's as deaths? Because if on person DC's and the rest die, that still inflates the stat.
And as warcrafter said, this also doesn't include hook suicides, which are probably just as common as straight DC's, in my experience they are anyway.

you say you just have to hit the non injured one but the injured should be trying to prevent that and also it's difficult to hit survivors without being close to them, don't make it sound so easy.
leaving victor there or even hitting the healthy survivor with victor won't do much, also if both survivors are injured you can't do anything. The twins are probably the biggest killer in terms of counters wasting too much of their time.
name the options for the situations and consider how feasible they are, everything i mentioned is easily feasible as long as the survivors are aware of them.
Hag's power is miles better than twins, it also doesn't have NEARLY as much counters in fact as a hag main i can say that the only reliable counter is trying to get rid of most of her traps when she picks up a survivor and even then with good gens she can easily recover. Even flashlights are not that much of a problem.
I definitely don't think the twins are as good as hag (I've always placed hag in the top 3 up until spirit existed, and then just below her)
But I think, again, how you can reposition yourself at a moments notice with twins is waaaaay underrated. I also think we don't have enough examples of amazing twins mains to exclaim the proper way of playing them. My best reason for making the hag comparison in the first place is because people tend to think she's only good at super camping, which as a hag main you very well know isn't the truth, but its also so viable to play with her in most scenarios that for people to assume it isn't off base.
The twins weren't even given a full month of exploration by the big streamers before they decided what they were good at and how to play them optimally. They seem to think they are only good at camp/slug. I will say anyone who uses the term "proxy camp" is basically placing an unfair stigma on this killer - most high rank killer games have some form of "proxy camp", I've seen countless streamer vids where Killers return to the hook after a cursory search of the surrounding area, even if they don't have bbq or haven't seen a survivor. This does include Otz.
I think the twins have an untapped potential. I think more research is needed, and that means we need more devout Twins mains who aren't afraid to lose a good amount of games trying new things out. I still say they need time.

Deathstroke is awesome. But I feel like he's even more heavily punished than the twins are when he misses tbh, as he lacks the pressure they have due to occupying two spaces at once.

I mean they are trash, they win due to a lack of coordination as well as knowledge on how to verse them.
- injured? stay near another survivor so they kick victor and heal you if that isn't an option go into a locker so the killer loses all pressure.
- Victor camping? crouch, kick victor so you do the save.
- Know where charlotte is and she switched to victor? If you know your further than 40 meters just go into a locker when victor comes.
- Have victor on you? Don't take him off and go to a loop or spot where you can't be ambushed. especially don't take him off in a chase.
- Just always prioritise healing, the twins can't slug unless survivors are injured.
- 3 perks heavily hurt the twins which are unbreakable, soul guard, and wglf. wglf makes picking up injured survivors after kicking victor nearly completely save.
- At a lot of vaults you can just keep fast vaulting them and victor can't do anything.
- Split gens first, don't let a 3 gen happen if it does keep running away early so less survivors are injured.
If players just knew these tips even solo's would prove difficult for the twins to beat, I have actually versed survivors like this WHILE playing them the best way and the match was a complete joke.
As for playing them another way you can't... they don't down survivors fast enough unless you mass slug which you won't unless you get enough injured which you won't unless you camp and try to 3 gen. The best play style for them has already been found they simply are not suited for any other play style or they become weaker.
I disagree with that, as alot of those situations you mentioned have counterplay that twins can act on.
I will say WGLF does cripple them to a degree, but only as much as you don't cover your bases. If survivors group up with the injured one, you just hit the non-injured one, then one of them has to deal with Vic while another has to deal with healing, at most only one survivor is doing gens in that scenario.
With loops where vic can't do anything, why not just leave vic there? At worst, the survivor has to slowly crouch away while you are busy with Charlotte applying pressure, otherwise you get useful info and potential to force that survivor out of position
I just don't think you are aware enough of every option available to you at all turns, especially if you are playing safe... Or playing risky in a situation that calls for it.
People used to say Hag was only good for camping, once upon a time. They said she had too much counterplay and was defeated by crouching as well. I'm just saying, maybe we shouldn't be so quick to assume twins ONLY can play in one way. They are too multidimensional imo.

Yea, that's not super fun, but I'd argue if you're efficient and don't miss too often, the satisfaction is much greater. And I think placing charlotte in a good area is important to making sure you aren't wasting pressure, as a kick should be sending you back to defence mode on the other side of the map.

It is the systematic difference between Twins and literally any other Killer.
I understand your point, there are lots of options for using her power. But say I miss with a Bill chainsaw. I am not suddenly transported across the map as punishment, I can just try again. Twin's are punished two-fold: You need to wait for power to recharge (which albeit is quick) and you need to reposition. Double punishment for a possible reward.
I mained Twins for 3-4 weeks and I had my fun until I realized just how unintuitive their kit really is. I am not even going to go into how some windows create infinites w/ Victor.
Fair enough. I can see why they aren't for everyone. Some windows absolutely screw vic, but sometimes when you're playing for position, it's fine if you have to, say, leave vic at a loop for a bit to ward off a survivor.
I think of it like this.. if you were that billy at a bad/god loop, you can only do two things, deal with that loop and hopefully get that survivor down, or leave and lose pressure.
With Victor, you can choose to leave that chase at any random time and keep pressure on the other side of the map. If they take the time to go kick victor (9/10 they will) then you wasted more of their time while potentially chasing someone off a gen far away. If they DONT kick him,you have killer instinct and get to decide if you switch back and hit that guy while he's out of position, or you just keep him as a ward in that area and use the information of the direction that survivor is going, knowing which gen he is likely to go to.
Twins to me as they currently are, read alot as Hag once did to many players before her major buffs - people thought she was trash, no one played her, but the ones that did kept telling everyone how ridiculous she actually was and how she didn't even need major buffs.. Now she's arguably top tier, if still underplayed.

@AChaoticKiller said:
Im sorry but if you find playing twins fun you have a very different mindset from most players.
Like i can't find having to camp and mass slug being fun and also getting kicked as victor is simply awful. Even if you do that against a swf that is good and knows the counters to the twins they just demolish her.
Even controlling victor isn't that fun.
Hey, agree to disagree. I'm not of the impression you HAVE to heavily camp, although slugging is pretty much a necessary strat for any red rank killer, so I don't see the problem with that.
The fact that you can split the map in so many ways means looking at it as simply "Camp" is pretty disingenuous. You can absolutely change the ways you play them, I just don't think enough killers bothered to explore them, since many either say "their trash" despite definitely not being worse than killers like legion, or "they can only camp and slug very well". Most people are immediately put off by these claims, and they just seem forgotten for no real good reason
-
@Moxie said:
It's really not fun running Victor across the entire map, attempting a pounce, missing and then being crushed.
A literal waste of all the effort you put in and you are right back where you started.
Super fun.
It isn't fun to miss, but that is something you can absolutely control once you put in decent time with them.. I've been looped around many a tree, and I'll say this, there are practically no spots where you are safe from a victor lunge, barring vaults ran a particular way, such as diagnolly, and he can often compensate with his speed and the fact he has no red stain.
Also, if you know you are going for a bad shot, sometimes it pays to shoot a little more off center but in a good position so if the survivor is feeling particularly ballsy and want to kick you, you'll be at such a range where theomebt they think they can still kick you leads to a free hit... The often misjudge his recovery.
Or if charlotte is here and you have a particular add on, quickly leave his body after the recovery so they can think they are kicking you and get the exposed effect. This surprise DOES work at times, again because the timing of his recovery seems unreliable which works to your benefit.

Also the mob mentality of "oh man this dude says hes bad so he must be bad. Hey everyone, hes bad." And it just ripples because sheeple.
You are so full of sugar honey iced tea.
You act like you're the only billy player whose legacy or mained him from jump street. He absolutely has changed, and MULTIPLE people have confirmed this again and again.
I was red rank with billy for over a year, stopped playing him because I wanted to try different killers for a while. When I played billy after the nerf, it was a night and day difference in perspective. His flick was definitely shadow nerfed, he cannot turn like he used to (my sensitivity hasn't changed in 4 years)
And you want to talk bandwaggoning? Keep saying his overheat has NO EFFECT, like that isn't the dumbest crap, he can't feather like he before, he can't cross the map and return without risk, etc. It reduces his fun factor by a mile, and I've seen players such as Otz overheat and it cost them in chase, so miss me with that BS.
Just because you can still win with him doesn't mean he wasn't changed for the worst. He's just not as fun anymore, period

And then they complain that killers are Op because kill rates are 68%.
Funny thing there is 68% kill rate = ~ 2.5 kill average. So basically just above tying. The best killer in the game has an average kill rate of 75% aka 3 k average at all ranks. How OP

Heres the thing. If you put yourself in a position where you will always be able to prevent an unhook, due to your constant knowledge and active positioning, is that not functionally the same as face camping? Im not calling you a camper here, a tier 1 myers trying to face camp would be ridiculous, but Im playing devils advocate a bit. Like sure the nurse isnt face camping, but if she teleports back right before someone can make an attempt, every single time, she might as well be? What is mechanically different from the two situations?
That's a good point - it's all meaningless.. I guess the major difference is splitting your attention vs. playing it safe, but in any other game playing it safe is a good idea

Just finished a game where i kooked all guys 3 times.. and the last one only one.. they all died while there was still 1 gen left.. downed the last one, closed the hatch, and hooked the last one..
So, after the game, the last player to get hooked (a red rank of course) text out to me to cry about me using NOED, even if it didn't got to activate..
So he texted me, NOED 🤡 to which i replied.. AND NO ONE DID 😎😎..
He got furious and continue to text salty msgs afterwards 🤣
Anyone has run into this type of survivors that think so highly of themselves just to realize that they also lose easily from time to time??
Short answer: every killer has lol

There are no such things as toxic strategies for either side. They are challenges to overcome, nothing more.
There are simply people who can't adapt to countering said strategies and refuse to accept that they might be in the wrong game.
If a killer is getting beat by the gen rush, they have to get better. If survivors can't beat a camper - they need to get better.
It's that simple... FULL STOP
I agree with this, but you can't say that here. You need to leave, fir your safety sir.

Personally, when I play Legion, it tends to be amongst the least stressful high rank killers I could pick up on a whim.
I don't really main a killer anymore, I just pick a random killer and do my best with what I know. Legion's kit covers so much, it just feels like all you need to worry about is the fundamentals. He's got inborn tracking, he has inherent slowdown, and he moves at such a high speed, you can put yourself in some places that make it very difficult for a survivor to course correct in time and avoid an M1 follow-up, etc.
He really just gets stuff done. I imagine he's not very well liked by survivor players when someone is really good with him, but he never doesn't feel rewarding to play, at least imo, as would say, playing DS and missing a few shots.. I like playing DS more, but I also get more stressful situations playing as him than I do with legion.

It wasn’t. Some people just like to be negative Nancy’s. Don’t worry about that one :)
Thanks Mooks :) was starting to feel ripped to shreds in every thread I post.

No, I think his butt is a bit bigger here on account of these being padded skiing pants
Eh, I didn't consider that, good point.

Why was that necessary?

Make it based on hooks and not unhooks. Maybe each token or every two tokens gives you a 1% speed boost, and at 4 or 5 tokens the exposed status effect at end game.
The only thing I don't like about it is that would make it a "win harder" perk if it were done that way. That would just encourage gen rushing, instead of encouraging survivors to destroy totems, which is kind of the point of NoeD now. Survivors risk a very dangerous (yet not unwinnable) end game if they ignore them, without condition.
NoeD is kind of a "lie of omission" style perk. It's very existence is merely a threat to survivors who decide totem hunting isn't worth it. After all, without NoeD, there wouldn't really be a strong reason to leave gens, and that's part of the issue here.
NoeD is already somewhat of an empty threat because so many killers are discouraged from using it. They get called out on the forums, called out in endgame chat and via messaging. People forget survivor players made a whole Facebook/twitter group that was talking ######### about and "exposing" killer players for all kinds of stuff, including using NoeD. It's an indictment on your ability to play if you ever even think of placing it in your perk slot, because "good killers don't need it"
Imo if you want to nerf NoeD, you HAVE to give totems some inherent property that creates desire in survivors to destroy at least some of them. Something that makes chasing them down, instead of passively falling upon them in the open, worthwhile. If you only change NoeD in the way you mentioned, survivors would likely start playing more "immersed" which is to say alot more stealth and less risky hook play. They would be encouraged further to stick to gens, while also playing for denial of hook states. It gives Survivors too much control over a killers perk, IMO.
