So is legions power mostly worthless?

I've played about 10-15 games as him and just dont get the point of his power all that much. It seems it helps you find more survivors which is nice and help you get across the map more effectively but applying deepwounds doesn't seem that useful unless a player actively doesn't mend themselves. Am I wrong on this though?

  • I don't play Legion so maybe I'm not experienced enough but it does feel like his power isn't too impactful against competent survivors (I.E the ones that don't waste time healing) since it might keep or get them injured very easily, but to officially down them you need to chase as a M1 Killer, which is pretty brutal on some maps and against very good survivors.

Yeah thats kinda how I feel. It feels like all of your hits get undone pretty quickly and I almost feel better just playing as regular m1 killer

  • focus on keeping everyone injured. survivors will either take the risk of staying on gens injured which = easy downs for you when you find them or they will waste a lot of time constantly healing. sloppy and thana are a good combo on him. he's not the easiest to do well with but it is possible! he's a bloodpoint machine though.

  • If you have a team that STAYS spread out, then yes it's useless. However, this kind of coordination is rare and doesn't last long.

Legions power is all about keeping everyone injured. Generally, if you spot a healthy person or healing, frenzy time!

If you spot an injured person, you have to chase them normally because his power cannot be used to down (unless they forget to mend).

Legion is basically an instant down killer if played optimally due to how easy it is to injure.

Edit: sometimes it's beneficial to frenzy an injured survior just to reveal the locations of the others. You would do this if tje injured survior likely has ds up but you think there's another one nearby.

  • Legion can almost instantly strip away your biggest defence, being healthy, force you to waste time mending, and always knows where to go to get more vulnerable survivors.Their power is all about information, game delay and aggressive tactics, and you have to be very good at m1 killer.

  • Knowing the location of a survivor(s) doesn't really mean anything since you need to be pressuring them directly to get them off generators. Competent survivors are comfortable with being injured, especially against Legion because he's an M1 Killer that gets bullied pretty hard on certain loops.

  • It can feel useless, but it does more than you think. If you want to injure someone as Legion, they will get injured because he is so fast in his power and he can valut over pallets and windows, he's pretty much inescapable. The tradeoff is that he can't down with his power. It is best used when there's more than 1 survivor in 1 place so you get multiple injures. If you get all 4 injured with it, you're sitting pretty. Chasing someone injured means they only have to make 1 mistake in chase to go down instead of 2, which is a huge difference.

  • I've used legions power for map mobility at times.

Say I hook a survivor and know another is doing a gen further from the hook. I can pop his power and get to the gen faster plus a free 12s time waster on that survivor. Hitting the survivor also gives you immediate knowledge if other survivors are close by.

  • Yeah, I originally thought his power was good for snowballing but the more I play him the more I understand just how worthless his power is. You literally get punished for not using it i.e. you lose half your gauge when you m1. You get a 4 second stun after wiffing, canceling your power, running out of power, hitting the same guy twice, you dont more fast enough or for long enough to reach people just at the end of your killer instinct range, you can't see blood, auras, or scratch marks for no reason.

The best he has is """"punishing"""" survivors, which is bs since injurying all the survivors doesn't matter since you still have to m1 the survivors. And killers that keep survivors injured has 1 huge weakness: survivors have no reason to heal. So what do they do? Gens. Killers like plague have massive snowball potential through her power. Legion has absolutely nothing. He needs a full kit rework, not a buff. There is literally nothing you could buff to make is power any good

  • Yeah for Legion I feel like his power should allow him to hit a survivor again (do his stun thing) but half the mend gauge on the double hit survivor.

  • Dont underestimate the Legion. While he seems weak he is one of the most mobile killer in the game and here's why:

1-He can find all the survivors with his power. Even someone that will hide in locker can be found by legion's power. Also while you have the power you can open lockers and etc...

2-He can travel the map and patrol gens fast with his power. Not to mention you can skip the survivor then bodyblock them so that they will not use windows, pallets and etc... I did that a lot and most of the time I will get the injured survivor quite fast.

3-He can stop loops and force survivor to drop some pallets. Because of your power you can still injure the survivors even though they will drop the pallet or vault windows. After they got hit most of the survivors will leave the looping area which then you can destroy that place.

4-His power can punish survivor even more with the right perks like Thanatophia. Even with the green add-on you can keep them broken for 60 seconds. Moreover as I mentioned at number 2 imagine the situation where you are at shack(one of the most used place for loops), you hit the survivor with power than use bamboozle to close to window. After that with sprint power of yours you bodyblock survivor againts the pallet. It will be a free down.

Overall he seems a weak killer at first. Some groups can easily bully him but underestimate him as a killer is dangerous. He needs a good practice and at the right hand he can be devastating. Use bodyblock method more with his power and you will see what I meant.

  • Bamboozle has been really good for me as Legion as well. A lot of survivors stare dumbfounded when a vault, especially with my power too

    Does bamboozle work on pallets??

Bamboozle does not work on pallets, no.

However, Iridescent Button will instantly destroy the pallets you vault as Legion. So it's kinda like a very aggressive, permanent bamboozle.

  • I feel like this alot. It's up and down with them I feel. Had my best game ever with them last night could have won at 5 gens but had some fun with a jane and zarina before I killed them. Barely have a page of perks on them but had Green disco and tinkerer and was flying accross the map. Tried double fatigue add-ons so didn't lose really any distance when frenzy ended. There aren't too many close games I can remember with legion it's either stomp or be stomped. But regardless they always fun to me.

Like Doc, Legion is very good at wasting huge amounts of the survivors time in their base kit.

The point of FF is to help stall the match. Sure mending doesn’t take long, but multiple instances of it over the course of the match adds up big time.

  • Personally, when I play Legion, it tends to be amongst the least stressful high rank killers I could pick up on a whim.

I don't really main a killer anymore, I just pick a random killer and do my best with what I know. Legion's kit covers so much, it just feels like all you need to worry about is the fundamentals. He's got inborn tracking, he has inherent slowdown, and he moves at such a high speed, you can put yourself in some places that make it very difficult for a survivor to course correct in time and avoid an M1 follow-up, etc.

He really just gets stuff done. I imagine he's not very well liked by survivor players when someone is really good with him, but he never doesn't feel rewarding to play, at least imo, as would say, playing DS and missing a few shots.. I like playing DS more, but I also get more stressful situations playing as him than I do with legion.

  • As a Legion main, absolutely not.

That's not quite correct. Bamboozle will still make you vault pallets faster, but Bamboozle does not block pallets.

Good clarification. I wish it did block the pallet granted it would only benefit Legion

  • Useless

in a chase vs an Injured player unless your hoping to find someone else that's healthy

  • actually, quite the opposite.

you have the ability to keep everyone injured at all times, which is quite decent in itself. combined with Thanatophobia it creates a very good game slowdown tool.

however, on top of this you also get an amazing tracking ability that allows for very quick locating without having any counters to it other than the range.

now, this isnt necessarily a part of their power, but they are also a average height killer - this means that its a lot easier for Legion to mindgame around loops. combined with the darkened screen that deep wound has (which is very, very annoying for survivors btw) and the fact that everyone is always injured with this killer, makes for a decent chase ability aswell.

they are really not as bad as many think they are.

use Thana on them and they are a decent killer that can defiitely be played and win at rank 1. and if you feel a bit insicure about his power, its exact length and range and all, you can always use some Add Ons to reduce its downsides.

this doesnt mean they wouldnt need any buffs ofc, but they are far from useless / worthless.

  • So would a good build for him be something like thana, nurses calling, sloppy butcher, and bamboozle (or maybe bbq)

As a legion main il sum up his strengths with bad grammar.

Legion denies survivors the ability to reset if used correctly, and can slow the game to a halt tbf currently one of his addons is broken (yellow pin) as it has no timer unlike his green and brown pins. He saftly give info but in exchange if a survivors in a dead zone reveald they will probley to to a pallet. Try to get stunned out your power by injured survivors to waste pallets when your power ends.

Best addons extend frenzy time and decrease stun

Ok addons are increased mend time

Worst are his purples Frank's mix tape and stab wounds study

Weakness regular m1s lower your power gauge sometimes m1ing a healthy when it's almost full off another chase is a waste when you can power hit force a mend go for 2 or more.

if you can body block try to do so.

I run bbq thanataphobia ruin bloodecho

But if you want his best build just run all slowdown

Spirit fury enduring is a good meme on him.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info then!

  • It is not good to use feral frenzy when crossing the map. It is used whenever you see healthy survivors to keep them injured. His power is not worthless, he just needs more lethality to it.

  • Legions power actually gives him quite a lot.

    • Information: hitting a survivor will reveal all survivors without deepwounds in your terror radius. People often think this is just to be able to chain hits but it's so much more then that. Knowing where survivors are is key to winning. And knowing where they are not is also a huge benifit. You frenzy a survivor and nothing is revealed with killer instinct? You can bet they are at the other side of the map rushing gens. Let the survivor you just hit mend and go stop them. It also makes finding specific survivors a lot easier. You don't need to constantly chase the same person to tunnel them out of the game. For example you hook survivor A for the second time. Then you can go chase and down survivor B. If you find survivor C after that you can frenzy them and go find survivor A who is on deathhook
    • Slowdown. Mending takes by default 12 seconds solo or 8 seconds when someone else does it. 12 seconds on a gen is 15% progress. 8 seconds for 2 survivors is 17%. Double it if you have ruin active. That's why you should very rarely chase survivors who are deep wounded if you can. Unless they run into a deadzone. Mid to late game if everyone is injured you're better of frenzying a survivor to find the other injured ones and chase them while the first on has to mend
    • Easy injure. The snowball potential is quite high with Legion. You injure people so easilly that they eventually will stop healing. That makes unhooking very risky. If you happen to be around while a unhook is happening a trade is the best thing survivors can hope for. Frenzying a survivor to find 2 others to then down one of them, slug and chase the third is a very sudden spike in pressure that's not uncommon if you know what you're doing

The weakness of the Legion is that they have to finish the job by themself. If mindgames and hiding your red stain are foreign concepts to you, you'd be better of with a killer that has a chase power to make it easier for you. Luckilly Legion is one of the best m1 chasers in the game trumped only by pig and ghostface. Who can crouch midchase in addition to the following benifits

They are short and completly silent. They can pull of mindgames towering Plague or footstomping Oni or Demo can only dream off. Many don't seem to realise the things you can pull of with Legion that just doesn't work with other killers. For example revaulting shack window is worthless with clown. With Legion it will catch many offguard. To top it all off one succesfull mindgame is all you need.

In short no it's not worthless. It just needs a different mindset of play. If you frenzy a survivor just to chase after them then you'll find the speedboost you gave them will reach them to safety every single time. And you'll waste time chasing a single survivor in a strong spot. He is a 4v1 killer so you need to play him as one.

Sorry, long post but that just shows that their is a lot more then meets the eye with Legions power
