  • Killers tunnel and camp more in my games. Teammates have become more selfish. I see so many Blights, Nurses, thana legion/plague

Like unless I'm SWFING I'll stick to killer lol

  • Aftercare is outclassed by other aura perks. If you're coordinating a play across the map, someone's probably on the hook which means Kindred's better.

If they're close to you, bond is better. You can even put on Open Handed to basically have a Bond aura reading so large it covers half/all the map depending on what map.

And the requirement to get after care to work means you generally only have 1-2 people sharing auras with you, before your hooked and its reset.

  • Not surprised, every game is Nurse/Blight/Legion or some anti loop killer stacking slow down with lots of tunnelling and camping.

  • Nah, as long as I keep seeing Nurses, Blights and Legions almost every game stacking slow down then I'll just keep killing myself until I get a game where I'm vsing a different killer

  • The general consensus of why people defend Nurse is because of the existence of sweaty 4 man SWF's.

But as a killer main with 3000 hours, I can tell you the amount of legitimate sweaty death comp pro tournament level 4 man SWF's I have faced is merely one game.

One game where I genuinely lost because I wasn't Nurse.

If you seriously think the fabled 4 man sweaty SWF is a common occurrence, you're simply wrong. Most SWF's are just chill, average players wanting to play with their friends. The amount of SWF's who legitimately sweat, rush gens, leave, and play in a way which is unwinnable unless you're Nurse/Blight/Spirit is exceptionally rare.

It's pure whataboutism to defend Nurse because of a SWF's potential to be that fabled sweaty comp squad that's only counterable by Nurse.

Nurse doesn't deserve to stay overpowered, unfair, and anti-fun for every survivor just because of SWF's. Nerf her, buff solo queue and nerf SWF's as well.

I've picked solo queue up some more and every 2-4 games there's a Nurse who stomps the entire team. It's getting tiring.

  • They both do the same thing really, letting you confirm the first hit for free. But the Bone Clapper has some utility in how it can make survivors paranoid.

I'd say Bone Clapper is better, especially when it's a yellow add-on.

  • I can definitely tell you, Fractured Cowshed & Haddonfield are the worst maps in the game for killer. Extremely safe for the survivors and really obnoxious to deal with.

The only maps I'll DC on if I get them.

  • All exposed-type killer perks require an action or condition to be met before the killer can one-shot. For example, Devour Hope is probably the hardest one-shot type killer perk to get to activate, but it's also the most risky.

If survivors can have access to a perk that just negates the exposed status effect, it makes the associated perks even less viable to use. Why bother using Devour Hope if they can just ignore it with a new perk?

Plus, if the survivor perk is bad, no one will use it. But if it's good, the above problem exists.

  • It comes down to the 1v4 aspect of the game. It feels more miserable to lose as killer, or perform badly, because there's only yourself to look at. Sure, there are some situations where you can't win the game (e.g BS maps, some survivor perks) but generally, you can win games by just playing very well. But when you do lose, you have four other people and yourself to judge how you've lost, which can feel horrible.

Where as with survivor, it's generally more chilled and even if you all got killed, the sense of ''camaraderie'' in sharing that loss weakens the blow to the psyche, IMO. Plus, the expectations of how good killers should be VS survivors is a lot different.

  • No they're not lol

If you think SWF's just trying to win the game is sweaty, then IDK what to tell you

  • 9/10 SWF are just average to good players wanting to play with friends, they ain't into bullying the killer and idk why this stereotype is in place.

  • If she was released in 2021, her power would take 30 seconds to charge for a single blink, storing two at most and the fatigue would be 10 seconds minimum.

  • I've seen it once for the 2k hours I've been playing this game.

    It's that bad.

Got to woo them first man. Spirit or Huntress don’t give it up on the first date after all.

    Felix is husband now

  • Dead Hard. An obnoxious perk that gives survivors free reign to make mistakes or take another loop and avoid being punished.

Can we just turn this game into a dating app? I have a few players I want to take out on a date.

Add sex I want to bang felix cmon behaviour please

  • He's playing Myers on fractured cowshed, which is so ridiculously survivor sided and an instant win for survivors with half a brain that it doesn't matter how good you are as killer, you just lose.

Not even Otz can win on that map, it really needs to go.

  • Mori's should've never been as strong as they were.

They're how they should be finally, a quirky and fun offering that adds some power to the killer (skipping DS for example) without removing the survivor from the game in 2 minutes.

Did....Did you just say macmillan and coal tower are favorable to killers ? Bwuahahhaa... In what universe ?

Coal tower is probably the most balanced map in the game, favouring killers for how easy it is to pressure generators. It's why it's the most picked map for tournaments.

Shelter woods is killer sided as it has little pallets to work with and is quite open, so it's easy to find survivors.

Suffocation Pit makes it incredibly easy to control a 3 gen.

Groaning Storehouse & Ironworks of Misery are acceptable, the God Windows got removed so there is nothing absurd about them anymore.

Macmillian maps are pretty balanced and even killer favoured.

Yes, but the thing is, PH and Deathslinger are chase-oriented killers, naturally worse than those with high mobility. A big map, or survivors who slam gens, can be devastating for them.

Because of this, I don't think they are deserving of the A Tier. But I could be wrong tho, this is jut my opinion.

This also applies to Spirit, yet she's universally accepted as S tier eventhough she's slow.

PH and DS are slow but have a comparable chase game to her.

  • Sacrificial wards exist.

And no, killers would just put on maps favourable to them like indoor maps or macmillian for coal tower and shelter woods.

  • Devour Hope - Killers need to get 3 to 5 hooks and not camp those hooks to get one shots and a mori, which is a gamble since it could be cleansed. Good play rewarded appropriately.

NOED - lol didn't cleanse the bones, idiot. Now you die ez clap

  • If she's good, look for a good place to die (no gens or other survivors nearby).

If she's bad, LOS jukes, locker jukes, doubling back, etc.

  • @Dragonshensi said:

Nurse and Spirit are the only ones who can counter and have a chance at high ranks. You want to nerf Spirit? Ok. Well prepare to only face Nurse forever. Instead of asking for nerfs, you need to ask for more buffs for killers. Except those two killers, it’s almost impossible to have a decent match in high ranks.

Blight, Executioner, Hag, Freddy; Deathslinger: allow me to introduce myself

  • Solo survivor should be brought closer to SWF and then give a general buff to all killers as compensation.

  • It's an indoor map with 20 God pallets, no reasonable human would blame you for Disconnecting on that awful map..

  • Should've just played better 5head

  • Yeah it would be nice... I'd go even further and let people have 3 active at once so the grind is reduced..

  • They're still as good since these perks save you from dying early on.

I'd argue there more important since you can't trust solo survivors to help you if it compromises their own safety.

  • @FromBlightsPOV said:

The game is balanced for solo survivors so SWFs (with communications) is unfair on the killer.

    In terms of power hierarchy:

    3-4 man SWF > Killer = 2 man SWF > solo survivors.

SWF aren't as bad as people as people say.

try winning a game against swf with only two perks because your ruin and undying has been cleansed which mean no gen defense and no pressure aka no map pressure killers who cant run to the other side of the world to kick a gen

Funnily enough, if you play a decent to strong killer on a balanced map, you still have a good chance to win against a SWF.

SWF doesn't automatically mean you lose, it's just a harder game and with the right killer, map and personal skill, they're 100% defeatable.

The average SWF is just decent survivors wanting to play with friends, not some deathsquad that everyone thinks of.

Yes, sometimes you lose through no fault of your own but 9/10 times you lose, because you made mistakes and killers need to stop blaming the game for their losses.

im not saying im saying that killer are becoming weak and we all know that luck break iron will become the new meta for surviors and undying did not need a nerf because it was a bandaid for bad placements for on the map and dont forget you loose 2 perk slots and gen defense its not that im bad but killers get nerfs so surviours can fun so killers can suffer

Come on, let's not try to argue that needing to break up to four to five ruins was fair and balanced. It was absurd and dumb.

Lucky Break/Iron Will will be stupid, but that'll probably put Stridor into the meta.

Killers may get nerfed, but so do survivors. Play killer back in 2016-2019 and you'd hate yourself.

  • Eh, the only ones which are criminal is Executioner and Deathslinger.

They both eliminate any input from the survivors. No matter what you do, they hit you. Drop pallets? They hit you. Fake it? They still hit you. If Spirit's chase is 10/10, they're at a 8 or 9 out of 10.

Oh and Executioner literally removes DS/BT from the game and can tunnel someone out the game faster than anyone else.

  • @lob said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2123313#Comment_2123313

but lets be honest spirit will get a nerf eventaully lets be honest then survior will continue to outdue killer

No? They'll still be like 10 other killers who are very strong.

If you're good with killer and the survivors aren't some type of SWF with death-squad comms on coldwind, haddonfield or ormond, you have a fair chance to get a 2-4k.

But killers make mistakes and then blame it on the game instead of improving.

9/10 times you're the reason why you lost, 1/10 times is because of the game being bullshit

  • My problem with second-chance perks is when they're stacked together on multiple survivors.

DS/UB/BT on everyone basically means you can't tunnel or slug and are forced into the 12 hook game, which is... good luck if you're not Nurse/Spirit against competent survivors in that scenario.

DH? Yeah this perk needs to die. There's nothing the killer can do... if used for distance, it removes making mistakes and actually incentives being greedy and inefficient with loops because E will save you.

  • The game is generally sided to the better player on either side, but there are exceptions, such as a SWF on haddonfield, or a Spirit with meta perks on shelter woods.

But generally, the side which is better will win most of the time.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/244001/4-6-1-killer-tier-list

The only one I disagree with is Bubba. He's more of a B tier type of killer. Blight IS S-Tier though. One of 3 killers that can hit you and be right back on you in about 5 seconds to finish the job. Before you can even get to a tile sometimes

Nah, Bubba is A tier. He chews through pallets incredibly fast so you can't loop him for long, windows aren't an issue with something like bamboozle and can be handled easily. He can one-shot an entire team and his camping game is still the best in the game and the survivors have no choice but to leave the hooked person to die. If Bubba wants the hooked person dead, they will die.

Bubba's only notable weakness is his standard mobility, other than what he has an excellent chase game and good utility.

    @landromat said:

    Blight is not S tier

Except he is, but people sleep on him because not many play him at a competent level.

His mobility is the best in the game. Almost always available, fluid control and gets you from one side of the map to the other in 10-15 seconds. What other killer can do that? Only Billy is comparable.

Chase? You can't loop this guy at jungle gyms, L & T walls, killer shack or anywhere with straight loops because he'll simply bounce off an object and come right at you and get a hit and his killer comes back up in like 5-10 seconds.. lol. The only place you can loop this guy is at unsafe, circular loops which take 10-15 seconds to deal with by regular killer mechanics and then he's right back on you after breaking any pallet because you can't outrun him.

Nurse and Spirit have better chase game, but if they're a 10/10, he's an 8/10... but they don't have the same mobility as he does. Spirit & Nurse still take 30-40 seconds to cross the map.

    @NoOneKnowsNova said:

Bubba is B+ Tier, Oni > Billy unless you're facing very good survivors.

Huntress is A tier and probably right beside Slinger (can be put either side of him) as range can be lethal on most loops.

Pig is D tier, against semi good survivors she has no chase power unless you're an extremely advanced Pig, in which it changes to very little chase power

Myers is D tier, focuses too much on his early game and good survivors will have the game practically over by the time he gets a play with his P3.

Ghostface is B- simply due to his ability to get the first hit+ hide the red stain.

Legion just behind Plague due to slowdown in B- tier.

C tier is now renamed "Clown is god".

Obviously everyone's opinions differ and many of mine may be unpopular.

    Bubba for above.

Oni's biggest weakness is getting his power. Good survivors will make it an absolute pain to get it, heal and limit how much you can use it and since without his bloody fury, he's just an M1 killer.. I can't put him above Billy who has his power at all times and isn't controlled by the survivors.

Huntress is highly overrated IMO. She's so slow, the slowest killer in the game by a far mile and the hatchets have so much counter-play to them (which is good) that any good survivor has a chance to live against her for a decent time and she's map dependent, she's utterly useless on something like coldwind.

Pig is barely B- because her traps are the best generator slowdown mechanic in the game and can outright kill the survivors with disgusting add-ons like the 5th box/tampered timer.

Myers has one-shot, so he reaches C.

Legion is C because he's just an M1 killer who makes everyone permanently injured. Plague does that but better and has corrupt purge on top of it if survivors heal against her.

    @KayTwoAyy said:

Hot Take: Deathslinger is B- Tier, and Trickster is right there behind him.

Deathslinger has one of the best chases in the game. He will kill you very quickly and the survivors choices don't matter, he's just slow and takes some time, hence A and not S tier. B- is for killers who are just M1 killers with good utility.

  • Huntress has no innate game slowdown and is the slowest killer in the game.

To get map pressure, you need to down survivors quickly and if the chance to snowball comes up, slug and down the other survivors.

  • Otzdarva made a very detailed video about this topic, check him out.

But I'd say Leatherface since BBQ and Chili is a meta perk and the double bloodpoints are amazing

  • He's pretty trash in terms of power but the general interaction you have with him is:

    A) You're in an open field or low walled loop, so you can't dodge the daggers or do anything and will go down very quickly.

    B) You're anywhere else and he takes 3 years to down you since his power is literally useless at jungle gyms, shack and even L&T walls.

  • Its fine if used to dodge a hit since it doesn't really do anything and rewards skillful gameplay from the survivor, which is healthy gameplay.

For distance? Oh yeah that needs to be removed, no counterplay available for the killer, rewards greed and making mistakes as it wastes more time for the killer as the survivor gets another pallet/window and it doesn't take skill to just press E when the killer is running at you.

  • I brought it, only because I put the auric cells back into what I got from the previous one. Essentially, it's free.

  • Yeah there needs to be a time limit put in place.

Something like 20 minutes or maybe even 30 would help stop survivors just hiding and taking the game hostage. They'd eventually lose and get sacrificed.

Only problem this could bring is killers bringing 4 slow down perks on a slowdown killer, could be abused.

  • I was honestly expecting:

"What helped me play Trickster was switching to Huntress"

It isn't a guarantee. I have escaped many times by being able to be patient and slowly prep the gate to just before the light comes on, then waiting for the killer to come by and leave, only to open it before he comes back.

If the killer is running Corrupt Intervention, Pop, Ruin, and Undying, I feel no remorse in dragging the game out. They want a long game, I'll give them one.

Well that's different because there's the EGC in play.

And sure; play however you want. Just don't take the game hostage and hide for ten literal minutes if there's no sign of victory.

  • Should happen but it never will..
