I'd like to thank everybody who gave their input on this.

THIS fixed it for me. I did a clean install of my drivers and the stutters went away. Thank you very much!

I did try updating to the latest NVIDIA drivers, but maybe I can try to rollback to an earlier version and give it a shot. Thanks for the input, anything helps, really.

I feel like, by pressing the ready button, you're at the very least signing up for the possibility of that stuff happening. Neither killers nor survivors have any meaningful obligation to make the game fun for the other side, necessarily. As it stands, tunneling is (and I'm not saying I like that fact) a strategy that is employed.
Even though I doubt it happens every match for you as you said, maybe use the fact you're being tunneled as an opportunity to get better in chase and, who knows, maybe even have some fun with whatever it is you have left of the match. The killer giving you endurance by hitting you after you get unhooked isn't by far a valid reason to leave the 3 other survivors hanging. We all know DC bots are kinda hit or miss.
-
Definitely Krasue. Hillbilly's makes me happy but it's just because I know the match will be fun.

Stop cheating then?
Explain to me exactly how using filters is cheating while keeping in mind Dead by Daylight had officially supported NVIDIA filters for years.

It's hilarious seeing the meltdowns in the other forums about his. It reminds me of when Hunt: Showdown banned Reshade. Everyone was raging saying "I'm colorblind", "its too dark it looks bad", and on and on. I will say Reshade was much worse in Hunt as there were ways to use it to explicitly cheat, while in dbd it's more subtle things like making the red stain and scratch marks more noticeable and such. Still I think it is best for the game to have an even playing field as much as possible and I mean we all know most of the people complaining are not colorblind, they just want their slight advantage.
I'm all about the fairness aspect of this change - what bothers me is the lack of warning and the risk my 8 year old account is under.
Heck, making the game darker by removing my filters makes bright things like the red stain stand out even more and I personally love it, but just updating the game and potentially flagging my account out of nowhere is kinda uncalled for IMO.
I did use filters to have an advantage in darker maps, of course I did. Everyone did. I just don't think I should be banned when I didn't have the option to use the officially supported NVIDIA filters like some people. -
@Coordi said:
We do not support any third-party software and we have always advised players that they are "use at your own risk".
Sure. But you'd think such a drastic change in your game's anticheat (so much so that players are kicked out of lobbies by it for using a program that didn't cause any issues for over 3 years) should've been given more attention, no? At least a tweet? There's countless players who don't have NVIDIA graphics cards who use reshade and now just don't know if they're gonna get banned from the game and lose all their progress or not.

@Royval said:
reshade should be a form of cheating
Curious. Why reshade and not NVIDIA filters which were officially supported by the game until today given they serve the same purpose?
-
Not really. If the survivor is good I will tunnel them to get better at chase, not because I'm tilted and hate them or something. Sometimes I even leave them on the ground and go do something else so they can get picked up and we can go for another chase. Nothing is more fun than getting chased as survivor in my opinion so I don't feel bad either.

Must be one of those features only a couple accounts get like the perk and prestige icons before you queue

Você precisava ter deixado o personagem no prestígio 3 nível 50 antes da atualização do prestígio, hoje em dia não dá mais pra pegar.

Can't wait until the MFT nerf comes and people realize they're still losing games, lmao.
Wonder what they'll blame then...

Even as a Sadako hater I have to admit this is going too far. Might as well delete her from the game now.
-
Too much Sadako. Went to killer for the day.

As a Feng main myself, I feel pretty good.

Cute little pinball man until he pulls out the alch ring and speed addons. 8/10 overall.
-
Surely it's okay because it's hard to learn her guys. It totally doesn't just take a little effort to become a decent enough Nurse to shred through most pub teams. You see, back in my day she could blink 6 times so she isn't op now, you don't know what op is for heaven's sake! Her addons also cost bloodpoints so that's already a reason as to why they shouldn't be nerfed, you earned them with your hard work playing through these matches having to blink 4 times to down just 1 survivor. Survivors need to get good at the game!

And/or Léry's, please. I just wanna play Bubba.

I don't want to. I'm stuck, addicted.

How many hours on average does this SWF have again? Asking for a friend.

No that's just survivors being entitled there is no reason to DC unless its a irl emergency they just didn't get a killer they liked, when you hit that ready button you know what your getting into be it a nurse or ghost face them DC is them just having a cry.

You know, perks are nerfed because they're too overused, oppressive, or overperform. So... None of those reasons clearly.

Jokes on you I got these boldness points ON TOP of the chase points. I see this as an absolute profit.

I try against killers that aren't broken. It's not about sending a message to devs, it's about how I've come to prioritize my own fun. That's all I can say here.

So, you're gonna give up and ruin the match to other players?
Please, just tell me that you don't live in Europe, so I wouldn't play with players with the same mindset as yours.
My point being, you're not always gonna have fun; The moment you do queue up as a survivor, especially applies for Solo Queue, you do accept the fact that you're very likely gonna encounter Legion or Plague with Thanatophobia, Eruption, Overcharge, Call of Brine, and Dying Light. The moment you're expecting something else than this, your expectations are above the average and you're only making excuses.
Like, so what? If you're not having fun, don't play the game where and when you may possibly not be having any fun. Stop with those double-standards when and where other people are supposed to obey you and please you whenever you're not having your day.
Yeah I am. Don't wanna be the good guy if it means the fun of other players (who probably are having a miserable time already) is any more important than mine.
I'm not gonna stop playing the game because of the 4 killers out of 28 who completely ruin it. Thanks for the advice.
Telling me to not have fun is seriosuly absurd. I'm not taking away the right of the people who want to play those killers, they just have to not mind 3 or less player matches I guess. Maybe play something else if you don't wanna deal with that.
EDIT: Also I'm currently in Asian servers, you just gotta worry about the other thousands of people in your continent who prioritize their fun.
-
go next, that's why. no point in wasting time in a match where you're not having fun.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. My three go-to builds survived completely intact and now that survivors had some time to adjust to the new killer speeds things got pretty much back to normal. Games feel much more fun and fair now, though, and surviving isn't a givin, but needs at least some good decisionmaking and looping skills during the trial.
Killer queues got longer indeed, because a lot of players for the first time feel confident enough to try out killer for real, instead of getting dominated, crushed and laughed out of the game. During peek hours my killer queues are finally sub 1min, though, because, gosh, people still enjoy playing SWF in the evening. I see this a win win for everyone.
Gotta love it when oblivious killer mains give their obviously biased opinions on survivor issues. What are your go-to perks? Urban Evasion? This Is Not Happening?
As someone who's played thousands of hours of almost exclusively solo queue survivor, and who also dropped Dead Hard over a year before its nerf, the games have been hell solely due to the buffs the killer side received while we (solo queue survivors) stayed neglected at the same level. Teammates kill themselves because they're tired of facing Starstruck Nurses and 4 slowdowns Legions, for the 4th time in a single night, knowing they can't do anything as a single survivor without sacrificing the entirety of their build (which is now even more limited due to all the nerfs) to get info, and even that doesn't guarantee all their teammates will be doing the same.
I've seen a killer main playing on twitch recently, oblivious to their rock bottom MMR, going against a 2 hour Trapper and saying "What are survivors complaining about? I can play just fine!". Well yeah you're supposed to when you don't touch the role at all except for rift challenges or dailies.
This update is creating killer mains because to play survivor without a premade team is living hell and I believe this is a double edged sword - when most SoloQ survivors get tired of it, the sweaty SWFs will be all that there's left. And back you bunch go into complaining and rants on the forums.
-
I don't think killers should get buffed any further until us solo survivors can do half of what a SWF can without needing to sacrifice an entire perk build only to have one tenth of the information a discord voice chat provides. Removing SWF is off the table, as proven by the many discussions here I've seen over the past year, and completely nerfing all of the killers that are too oppressive for solos would mean they would no longer be able to compete with strong premade groups.
If BHVR did find a way to buff solo queue for it to be comparable to SWF, weak killers should be buffed next, however if the stronger killers continue to be overpicked and overperform, I don't see why they shouldn't go for nerfs.
-
Yeah. In my region right now killer queue times are unberable, I have to wait at least 5 minutes in queue to get a match in the best case scenario, so I've been doing some survivor, although it's never been the role I enjoyed most.

Nurse, Blight and Artist

remove two perfectly good perks because of the one killer that can abuse them like that, yeah sounds reasonable
-
Why do you want others to dictate what's good and bad for you. Killers should do whatever they want without needing to feel justified for it. There's no "oh but the other side is not gonna have fun" because it's just a match, it's not like you're the only killer the survivor you're tunneling goes against. You're purposefully going out of your way to play in such a manner that may be annoying to some, but once the match is over they'll forget you even exist within a few minutes. You bought the game, you get to dictate how your matches are played.
-
Some of my survivors still have DH equipped. I don't plan on taking it off. Thanks.
-
You know, even as a hardcore survivor main, I'm willing to agree that the Dead Hard we're saying goodbye to was BS. However, I can't help feeling like most of the killers who would crucify DH users are just gonna be met with disappointment when they find out they can still get looped without it. And in comes the complaints about all the other exhaustion perks, especially with people playing safer now...
-
LMAO, I had the same thing happen to me a while back. It's almost like it's reverse psychology - you wanna derank, survivors/killers will do everything in their power to make sure you win. Funny to think about.

You never played against me then because I play addonless. Also that 9k solution is if RNG favors you and only if you want to get close to what old basekit Nurse was like. Not to mention you are unable to run any other addon. You complain about her distance addon forgetting how it was prior to her nerf. You think a little speedup is oppressive? You have no idea what her addons were like back then.
Oh! You play addonless! That's so rich, but it still doesn't quite fix the problem her addons create because of the majority of people who do use them. Just a little note: Nerfing something busted into something slightly less busted isn't really a fix. You're talking to someone who handed out beta keys to play KYF with my buddies. Trust me, I've seen Nurse at her strongest, but what good does nerfing her into her weakest do if her weakest is still miles above what the next killer can do? I'm not saying she should be nerfed into the ground, I'm saying she should get a respectable "Addon Rework/Revisit" as Billy did. Since you play addonless, that should be no issue to you.

Everybody who have played against pre-nerf nurse knows how strong she was. I need absolutely nothing to prove you that and everybody who has experienced that knows I am right, because I am not saying that she is not strong now, but instead that she was way stronger before.
Refer to what I wrote above.

Old basekit Nurse was far better than current Nurse with both recharge addons. It takes a lot of reving for current Billy's chainsaw to overheat. I know it was bad when it was first introduced, but they nerfed the heat gain by a lot shortly after.
For Nurse, during the PTB the recharge system was bugged and started recharging after swinging instead of fatigue. Giving the impression it wasn't that bad. Even so, the Devs nerfed her recharge addons before the live release and ofcourse the bug was fixed.
So, yeah I'm making the comparison.
First off, very disingenuous of you to pretend the reason Nurse is getting so much hate recently is because of her basekit. Yes, indeed, her basekit was nerfed a while back, and with it came a 9k BP solution to every Nurse main's problems which is the double recharge combo. Double range or Range/Recharge are also still in the game. No nurse player, and I repeat, NO nurse player I've seen the past six months playing nearly 100 hours every 2 weeks didn't have one of these combos. Not one. And that would be memorable so I'd remember it if I'd seen one. And that's just talking about the addons she can use, now when she uses perks that are already busted on regular killers she can only be stopped if the person playing her is completely new to her.
My point with that Nurse talk is: Billy got everything (and i'm talking addons as well) he had ripped away from him because he was 'too oppressive'. Then why are killers that would always do better than him in both a high skilled and low skilled scenario not getting the same treatment? Nurse was NEVER worse than hillbilly and still isn't. Same applies to Blight. Both of these killers have addons that make them more efficient than even crack billy was. It doesn't make any sense.
@Mercês said:

The Nurse nerf was absolutely as impactful, even more impactful, as Billy nerf. I don't know what you talking about.
Nurse went from a 70% high MMR winrate to a 50% high MMR winrate pre-MMR changes. Don't overestimate the impact of being able to spam blink right after charges come, and this combined with range addons. Current Nurse is strong, but if you've played against a pre-nerf nurse you would know that she's not nearly as strong as she used to be.
Ah yes, the statistics. Oh, you're talking about which one of the MMR tests that didn't work again? What part of the old MMR experiments can be used as reliable data? Surely, again, you know nobody is complaining about basekit nurses because you just don't run into those, right? Nobody plays nurse without addons and even when people do, the next one is just gonna have all the busted stuff all over again. We need to stop pretending things are happening in this perfect vacuum where perks and addons aren't used by strong killers.

Nurse was touch 6 months prior.
Weird for you to even think the "touch" they gave nurse was nearly as impactful as the absolute destruction they did to billy.
Like "Oh no, my favorite killer! She went from being the best killer in the game to being the best killer in the game but now she waits like 3 seconds before blinking twice and that's without addons because if she uses double recharge it's basically pre-nerf Nurse all over again!"
-
Don't worry bro, I'm sure BHVR knows what they're doing by keeping Billy nerfed while refusing to touch Nurse and Blight.

she's bs.

Aren't you the guy who quit a while back? lol
