  • I only think your new because when you've been here long enough, you won't care about forum or community politics (unless your in a SWF constantly) and will play how you want anyway. People are hypocrite it's a fact of life, we all are

    She has no chase power.

She's worse than everyone except Legion at getting downs it seems.

Give her time man, that's all I can say

It seems like if you even attempt to play loops you lose.

Just like any killer, you don't want to overcommit to strong loops, but I wouldn't say she's uniquely bad at them. The fact she can transition to phase and out without loss of speed makes her mindgame already better at weak tiles, and you can take extra time to get a down if you need to, knowing you can just to to a gen in progress

From what I read and seens it's another killer who has to have specific perks to play well. And it's getting old.

I'm using her base perks and sloppy butcher (a great COH detergent on a killer who can just instantly be behind you). She definitely isn't that handicapped. I get the general killer frustration, I've had it in periods too, but I'm telling you this killer will be fine over time as people actually play with her kit. After all, this is a killer we've really been wanting for a while of you look at it from a certain perspective, a killer who isn't simply anti-loop but can contest a 4v1 as well as cut hold W short.

It just means making clever decisions with her power and yes, making a proper build will be key in higher ranks, but that's always the case, even with the top killers.

  • Imo the haste is almost negligible, if you aren't running that boon with at least COH, it's really not anytbing crazy.

The killer on the other hand is currently underrated. She will be complained about soon enough as people figure out unique ways to mess with Survivors heads with her.

So it's another ######### killer that relies on perks because the devs cant balance their game. Great.

Guess my prediction came true which I hate.

She is not bad, see my above post

What Clown buff are you referring to, did he get a buff while I wasn't looking somewhere?

Would love it if someone could answer his question

  • @Pulsar said:

I'm out and about right now, so I can't look at anything right now.

Is she good? How are the perks?

I think she's actually fairly good. Her main features are definitely mindgaming with phase and TV TP, but her ability to cut chases short with well planned, sneaky teleports is unmatched IMHO. People say she is negated by COH, but I disagree with that for two reasons:

    A. As strong as COH is on some maps (downright busted) overall outside of comp, it's really not as big of an issue for hit and run style. People used to get upset when you would bring self-care as it was a waste of gen time, and that was back when BNP's and keys were actually strong. Make no mistake what I say, it is overtuned to this day, but hit and run is not dead, at least against anything under 3 man SWF.

    B. She is uniquely capable of dealing with any survivor who is unwilling to commit to looping, including trying to heal.

TV's are plentiful and obscure enough to cover almost any point of the map a survivor will go to. This is good because on top of the fact that you can end chases before a survivor has the chance to reach an area of safety, no matter where they go, if you teleport in the general area of that survivor, you are getting curse stacks, which I would equate more to a Mike Myers mechanic than a PH one, given just by doing what you should be doing (a lot of teleports) you will easily gain stacks that can lead to a survivor getting taken out quickly and with only ever being encountered once.

Overall I think she can have a wide range of application and decision making based on what perks you bring and your overall strategy. She is someone who can play so deceptively, I would say she is a close cousin of spirit. I also suspect she will eventually be complained about, as it seems she has so many ways of getting sneaky hits at from TV's, with the mindgame being that once she demanifests, you have to either watch for her to see if she phases to a TV or if she will just catch up at 115% with intermittent wifi attack.

I think I've finally found the stealth killer for me!

Is it that bad? Seems like streamers are having a good time with it.

I think my train if experiences with it in the first 3-4 days kind of gave me a bad taste overall, but by the 5th I've started appreciating more little things about it tbh, despite my earlier criticism. I still don't love the sound design, but I think I can get used to it now.

I've been hearing a lot about how VHS is the next big thing. Interesting to read your comments.

Is that a widely held opinion about that game. And are survivors generally as unpleasant as those in this game?

I would walk this statement back a bit. Apparently WART, who I was playing, is seen as the weakest of all killers in that game. My opinion has moved slightly, albeit I stand by the sound and tracking being worse than DBD by far, I'd also say it may be mostly intentional to the design.

I hope there are some ways they can make it a bit more decipherable, such as the "blood" in the game being more visible (although again, I can understand why they don't want tracking of injured survivors to necessarily be a given, as it can be in DBD).

With more time with the games unique sound design choices, I may still may come to fully be won over by VHS. I hear criticism and praise in somewhat equal measure, so it may have a significant chance going forward, and even DBD had a very rough early phase, look where it's at now

  • @BenihimeWrath said:

Just trying to do my dailies/knock out rift challenges and playing killer is like pulling teeth. I literally just got done playing bloodborne NG+ and it made me less frustrated than trying to get 3 survivors to step in traps before the game was over.

I just got done finally playing VHS as killer for a few matches after waiting months to get access to the beta....

Let me tell you, as bad as the feeling of killer can be in this game, it is nothing next to the outright uselessness of playing killer in that game. Just try tracking a survivor in that game - there's no scratch marks, the sound design is just ass, an injured survivor barely gives more indication than a non-injured on where they are, and there's basically no way of knowing which station they're building on unless they miss a skill check, so you have to guess.

Made me realize I really took this game for granted. There isn't a single game like DBD that is nearly as well though our, even when the devs are very ignorant to some things overall.

It doesnt stop you from playing the game. You can snuff out the boon. Let them bleed out, while you chase someone else. It takes longer, but it doesnt prevent you from playing the game.

You have no idea dude, if two boon perks can affect the same area from three different levels of elevation, you are not going to snuff them soon enough to make progress, let alone lose the entire game. But keep thinking you know better til you see it, I didn't think it was ridiculous til it happened to me either

    Still too much recoil?

That was quite hard even on PC when they released him, it's way easier now, but I can see console might have issue with it.

Way to much vertical recoil. And the thing is, it shouldn't be a problem. Most shooters are fine on console, hell I play huntress and get some ridiculous shots that you'd think would require mouse and keyboard. Even deathslinger is good (BS nerf that ruined his flow notwithstanding)

But Trickster is basically impossible as far as I reckon, you have to concentrate way to much energy on aiming and managing loops at 110 on a joystick can already be a very fragile process with debris, etc. Without having to account for the 40 ounce bounce

  • @GiveMeBoops said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784747#Comment_2784747

That's not really hard. He was super bad when he was released.

He is decent and fun to play now. So that is one of things they did good job. Took them some time tho.

I wish I could experiment with him. Somehow they managed to make Blight work on console, but can't get it going for Tricky

  • I had a feeling it was around that release... Thanks

  • @alpaca_boyyy said:

Just me or facing even an okay Trickster is just no fun in chases? You cannot loop AT ALL indoor or open maps. Especially when he is right behind you, no counter at all unless you use deadhard to dodge a knife or two... His power is just unfun to go against. id rather have an insidious bubba and that's saying something... anyone agree?

As someone who can't play Trickster because console... I've played against a few tricksters that felt very strong in chase. I don't know that he needs a nerf because he's slow and no 1v4, but it's definitely a scarier sight when I see a trickster now than when he first came out.

Its different, bleeding her out in that situation wasnt necessary, Im ok with people bleeding on RPD or Disturbed Ward (for some reason you cant get down the main building without Boil Over activating even if you se the stairs) but in OPs situation he could have hooked her which also is the best course of action for hooks work twice as fast than bleeding. If he resorted to the less efficient way of dealing with that was out of pettiness and because he wanted to punish OP for using a perk he didnt like.

That's true, he wasn't playing to win at that point he was trying to be petty. I had one of those famous RPD matches with boon exponential in play. Miserable experience, so I can sympathize but it wasn't a great option or worth it imo. Tbf I've only had two other games where flip flop + boil over were an issue, but it always feels like crap.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784688#Comment_2784688

The only thing I agree with in this message is that Boil Over is exploitable. Though, the thing that needs to be killswitched is the RPD badge, since that's the thing that's being exploited using Boil Over.

Well agree to disagree, but our experience doesn't need to be the same to agree that RPD badge should definitely be Killswitched. I'd accept that

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784663#Comment_2784663

...It's really not that bad, and again, in this example Boil Over is achieving very little beyond getting the killer mad. Gideon's has plenty of hooks in that area, this was just being mad at the existence of Boil Over.

Also, it doesn't require two perks to counter, if you struggle with the strafe movements you bring one perk, Iron Grasp. And that's if you struggle with the strafe movements, it doesn't require it. I'll grant it's probably harder on console, but that doesn't even slightly translate to leaving survivors to bleed out because they're using a totally legitimate perk that you happen to find harder to handle?

Boil Over is not OP, oh my god. It's just something you notice now.

No dude, I've been playing against boil over since it's release, and to ignore that it's a bigger issue now than before? Well, as you said, you have the priveldge not to know, but it is absolutely a huge pain in the ass (as it already was annoying before buff) for it's wiggle distortion. As for this example, I agree, this one isn't bad and the killer may have been being petty, but I'm not going to say he's wrong, maybe he legitimately has issues with not seeing the hook.

Also who cares? Survivors can only BM or what? Sometimes things like this will happen, like if you play nurse and a survivor tests your blinks, finds you lacking, they will teabag and taunt to compound that frustration and it will happen almost without fail, 98% of the time. Who cares about the BM at this point? That is the biggest issue of this thread, and it in itself is petty, so for my point it is irrelevant.

And I never claimed Boil Over as OP, but it should be Killswitched or amended sooner than later, because it is EXPLOITABLE! You know, like leaving PH trails or Hang traps near a hook, it's not 100% unbeatable, it's not 100% OP but it should not be an interaction that exists, point blank.

  • @HectorBrando said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784535#Comment_2784535

In your situation? bleed them out.

But in the video OP posted? he could have hooked her easily, OP is right, this is just childish, that Blight was petty beyond reason and it does put some light on a problem with Survivor perks, you use meta "META SURVIVOR ALL SAME PERKS NERFNERFNERFNERF", they change a perk "HOW YOU DARE CHANGE [PERK] AND SHAKE META, IM GONNA CAMP AND BM ANYONE WHO USES [PERK] FROM NOW ON!!".

So it's ok to run a perk you want to run, but it ain't ok for a killer to use a tactic you don't like? They are one in the same

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784626#Comment_2784626

Doesn’t stop you from playing the game anymore than a camping bubba will.

If Bubba camps, you get to plays a new game within 5 mins. Tell me, is it more fun to be camped by a bubba for 3 mins max, or be stuck playing ring around the rosy for 15 minutes on RPD? especially when Bubba's power is almost entirely in the survivors control to respond to, whereas you are powerless as killer in this situation

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2784537#Comment_2784537

I mean, look at the map OP is on. Boil Over can absolutely be broken and unfun... on certain maps. For the majority of the maps, it's stronger but it's fine, and Gideon's doesn't have any abusable spots to my knowledge. Maybe one of the gaps down to the second floor if you're lucky, but it's not a guarantee and there are hooks down there if you manage to get the killer to drop there anyway.

OP is right that this is childish. Boil Over isn't OP, it's abusable on some maps, and there's no reason to force someone to bleed out just for bringing it with intent to use it legitimately.

Thats Bullspit. I play on Console, it is not easy trying to counter those movements on a 100 percent new, functional controller. Try it on one you've had for 2 months with selectively bad deadzones (it only affects this game somehow, #########??) That make certain angles not even work?

Outside of that, why does this perk have 3 great effects? what's being said is how strong it is on vertical maps, what's being ignored is it's strength on almost ANY indoor map. Name a single killer perk that gets as much value in one single perk? It's overtuned, not to mention the fact the counter for it is literally two perk slots. And let's just hope it's not paired with flip flop, Christ almighty help you if they run that, you don't even need that much coordination to get massive value out of it

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Does it need to be killswitched though?

I am not against RPD being gone for a while but Boil over clearly works as intended. However annoying it can be

It needs Killswitch, absolutely. A map offering, boon: exponential and a perk shouldn't stop you from playing the game

  • @Phasmamain said:

Because nothing is mechanicallly broken. You can still win the match by bleeding all 4 out

I know this is facetious, because we're all burned on the devs now, but anyway:

    RPD Fact #27 -

There are actually two (or more) totem spawns that are within Booning range to hit the RPD library. Great case use for Boon: Exponential!

I've already recorded the game, this is obvious not playing as intentional and I don't think Bhvr can ignore enough of the same repeated issue. What surprised me was how they were able to progress the game in such a way I had literally no counter to, as every pursuit from almost any gen position led back to the library, and obviously this was a coordinated SWF so who knows how much was communicated outside of the game. I've found the buff to this perk very annoying, but overall had no real complaints outside of having to slug a few games, but after that game I have no doubt in my mind this was an oversight...

  • I like it, tbh it's been fun to see folks just break off and grab one, even in higher rank games. Hopefully they continue making events like this, for however long this game continues

  • Just purge. Be a complete scumbag for a while, get it out of your system, realize it's a game and if anyone is getting that mad at it they can't let it go after the game, you can laugh them off because it's silly. But you have to purge too

  • I noticed this yesterday, it looked like I was hitting survivors with blueberry faygo

  • I do like the event and how both sides came chase down tickets, breaks up the gameplay. Honestly I've liked the events since December's

  • I've had a lot of people use voil over and it doesn't even feel that different on a controller. I think it's fine, but it could be strong in vertical levels, which is fine

  • @Nathan13 said:

it's temporally disabled cause it's getting reworked.

I wish they took badham with it

  • Currently, I've really been enjoying Blight, and he's been a go to. I would have thought he's one of those killers that, like Trickster, is hard, if not impossible to playing a controller, but whatever they did to change his playability on PS4 honestly does need recognition, because he plays so well I can't see a fathomable skillgap from a control perspective. He has been very consistent for me, but more importantly, fun to play.

I play Dwight as survivor, but I also like the newest guy, can't remember his name now.

  • @Aneurysm said:

They may have created a couple of troll perks but it's still in the running for best patch ever now they've deleted haddonfield

    Haddonfield is gone??

  • I still think he's better than hillbilly, for what it's worth.

  • Likely analog issue if playing on controller. I've messed up 3 controllers playing this game over time

  • All you have to do with the perk is make it so it can't be re-applied to the same totem and buff TOTH so that you get a notification when a survivor blesses a totem (you can't make it it's own perk tho, that would be incredibly pointless on its own unless you threw a crazy effect on it as well, like say, 60 second global exposed or something).

  • From now on, I only tunnel fengs

If you're the type of player to call out tunnelling as unnecessary across the board ..

Let me correct you right here as you've already lied.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2510138#Comment_2510138

Here is my post that mentions necessity of tunnelling, allow me to quote the only element that may have a relation to your fabricated idea.

The fact of the matter is that good players that also stream have shown that tunnelling/camping early isn't necessary in most cases

So, since when is 'tunnelling/camping early' a broad claim? It refers to killers opting to use these strategies right off the bat rather than as a sort of reaction to their situation (Gens popping quick in bad map, no 3 gen, skilled team with weak link ...). This is pretty specific, and certainly doesn't cover reasons killers opt to tunnel when pressured.

Now that we've established you've, at the very least, used hyperbole to misrepresent me knowingly, I will say that we agree on the fact that tactics such as tunnelling have their place without necessarily being a sort of mindset like some have here. Camping endgame isn't some sweat tactic, nor is tunnelling when put in a position where it's the only game-saving move.

If we're allowed to make assumptions off one another, you've clearly given me the impression that you are part of this scourge that consistently divides survivors and killers as if they're two different species. The community would be infinitely better if individuals like you treated 'mains' as you'd call them with a bit more empathy, which ironically you call me out for lacking consideration for the other side.

Here's the sad truth for you: I'm a decent killer player, and when queues don't suck I play killer more often. And no, I do not need to tunnel early. And when I'm brought to tunnel, 4/5 times it's due to my own misplays. I do not deny there are balance issues and better players than me in the opposing side. But you know what? After 2k hours of this game and playing in the same goddamn maps for a long time, I think I'm capable of adapting and turning the tides despite some odds stacked against me.

That just sustains my claim, as you're still making a grandstand indictment on all killers who DO tunnel from the start. There is definitely a video where OTz says the best strategy is to get someone out early.... Which means tunnel, and camp can also be implied from that statement.

Bottom line, whether you chose to accept it or not, the most optimal way to play is to get a single person out early. Trading hooks benefits the survivors, and if you're the type of person to consider a 2K a win (or whatever qualifying statement you make to justify not going by the games definition of a win, which is in fact, a 3-4K on killer side)

If my definition of a win is to get as many kills as I can, there is no world in which I could consider anything below a 3k a win. You light call that try hard, whatever you may say about it doesn't affect my definition of a win. I don't come from a mindset where everyone gets to always win and have a good time together.

That's not to say I never take it easy or goof off, I typically even let at least one survivor get hatch (or I carry them to it) so miss me with the empathy claim, because I probably have more hours on both killer and survivor than you, and as a survivor I play for altruism in solos.

This isn't an argument about empathy, you can slow down after you see your wrecking and pull that back if you like, but we're not gonna sit here and act like playing mr. friendly killer who never tunnels at the beginning of the game and always goes for fresh hooks, doesn't get ######### on by coordinated SWF groups. If you're only reacting to what some of those groups are doing, instead of playing preemptively, well all I can say is wait till you reach high MMR before you make such reactionary claims.

And finally, your taking what I said about Survivor mains too far. I didn't say al survivor mains or all survivor players, I was specifically mentioning the so entitled survivor players that literally mandate how others play. Since that is essentially what you are doing with your first comment, that mindset applies to you more than the name, so I apologize for Cali g you a survivor main. Are we done arguing semantics now?

  • @ElusivePukka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2510415#Comment_2510415

It has to do with what you said because you brought them up as an example of people who use these tactics - and my point is that these people, regardless of following, are poor examples of anything. What you said is correct, these people use those tactics: and my point stands that they're wrong to do so. If you want to win, which by BHVR standards is a 2k: no, you don't need to tunnel or camp. You are, in fact, giving up on the potential for more if the survivors involved have a lick of sense.

I wouldn't 'cite' OTz as a top expert of DBD, nor most of the names I see put forth as 'proof' of something an individual takes issue with, and I'd laugh at those who did - they're experts in content creation, not in gameplay. If any content creators are 'experts', it'll be the dataminers and white hats reporting on exploits. Their credibility is further hit by fellow content creators calling out the hypocrisy and inconsistency of people who pretend that tunnels and camps are necessary.

Understanding why someone has a following, and the bias inherent to all content creation, is important for understanding why they may be a particularly bad source for examples.

The problem with your whole argument is it presumes 2 incorrect positions

    1. That I only mentioned top level streamers, which I didn't, I also said tournament players.

    2. That no DBD streamers are great, or in fact, tournament level players of the game.

You explicitly call out OTz as not being a great killer, which is your opinion to have, but he's a really good killer by most people's approximation. And what about players like Zubat? There are plenty of examples that upend your argument on that base alone, but you still haven't addressed the fact that tourney players do the same thing in most cases, with the best killers(or best campers).

Of course most of these players aren't the general player base, but there are plenty of good survivors that aren't on a tournament team, and that's what so many content creators were comparing about MMR for, it's not literally just the same four survivors they would play, they would just be playing against a run of the mill optimal SWF group game after game that would negatively affect their content.

And lastly, 2K is not necessarily a win, that's a draw

  • @ElusivePukka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2510297#Comment_2510297

"Top level streamers" aren't particularly good players. Truly optimal play is pretty boring, regardless of game: you don't get a following for pure success, you get a following for near misses, close failures, and enough savvy to spin a narrative. Plus, when "top level streamers" also call out how laughably fallacious that narrative is, that argument is proven just as silly as the people who fall for it.

Ok, so what does any of that have to do with what I said? I didn't remark on all top level streamers being amazing.

That wasn't the point. The best streamers still use tunneling and camping, do they not? Optimal play may be boring for many, but that isn't the point either. We're doing everything to deny the fact that at the end of the day, what I said was correct. If you want to win consistently, there are times you will need to tunnel, and possibly even camp, as much as someone else online might not like it..

Aso, I only ever use the streamers argument because so many of you here like to sight them as the top experts of DBD. Frankly idgaf of OTz shows videos of him losing constantly or not (although he is personally my fav DBD streamer), that doesn't take away from his wins and what he does to achieve them, and he's got as many hours as anyone playing this game.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

Tunneling isn't a must for any killer.

It's a must for players who've artificially capped their skill ceiling by choosing to blame others for their own lack of competence.

Which is why top level streamers and tourney players so do it... Mhm totally not a biased opinion

  • @DeliciousFood said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2510142#Comment_2510142

Gen speeds aren't the issue, the maps and RNG are an issue are however, that I can agree. But it doesn't stop the fact that matched with similarly skilled opponents, you should be at least performing decently. It takes a Haddonfield or Cowshed to truly feel oppressive.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2510167#Comment_2510167

Do you know who I am and what my gameplay habits truly are? Do you have some sort of insight about me that I certainly not shared willingly on here? If not, then you're just maliciously assuming things to denigrate my opinion. Which leads me to believe yours is probably nothing worth recognizing. Since you're comparing average games to tournaments and referencing Otz's sweaty streak habits that he apologized for often times during gameplay, then I guess I'm right to save my energy, lol.

To re-iterate my opinion from before, you're free to tunnel if you feel like that's your only option, but unless this is the top of the top, I'm convinced it's unnecessary with enough game sense and skill. Besides, as one poster said, the truly dangerous survivor groups punish tunnelling/camping like no other, and those without the skillset (and right killer) to face them will lose regardless.

I'm using context from your own comment to come to a conclusion about your behavior. If you're the type of player to cal out tunneling as unnecessary across the board, or using it as a gauge for player skill, you're the type of player that isn't as concerned with one side of the game over another. You're whole comment was disingenuous from the start. You're just doubling down by claiming the best killers never or hardly use the tactic.

Whether you chose to engage with what I said or not matters very little to me, as I wasn't directly addressing you with all parts of the comment(which is where I believe your comment about me making indictments about the way you play came from). My point about survivor-favored players making these types of claims is just as true as it was 3-4 years ago. If you're the type to complain about it as a competitive strategy, if you're the type to acknowledge that at top levels, only nurse and Spirit are universally viable, and still sit there and shot on people who tunnel when necessary, you are literally showing your bias, and the discussion can end there.

You're going to eat L's if your skill isn't sufficient to compete against the opponent. The fact of the matter is that good players that also stream have shown that tunnelling/camping early isn't necessary in most cases, and with MMR they rarely have to if they're running a decent build (Players like Otz end up struggling with meme builds sometimes). So it's quite clear that if you're not at the right skill level, you should expect to lose. But if your situation leads you to the perspective of 'I must tunnel to have a chance', chances are you're simply not as good as other killers who are comfortable at this level without these tactics. If you like to use this playstyle then that's fine, but if you don't, then it is best you let yourself adjust to a lower skill bracket. Better teams will always beat a tunnelling killer anyway unless they're some sort of comp player.

You and every survivor main that claims tunneling isn't necessary against top teams are full of it. There are several games where you can see OTZ tunnel, respond to unhooks in ways some would call tunneling, hell even camps occasionally.

You're still using the same old shaming tactics that don't work anymore. We have enough evidence from DBD tournaments (lol) where all the killers camp and tunnel because at a certain point that is the most effective way of ensuring at least a 2k amongst the BEST survivors. This is with them playing killers like Nurse and Spirit.

In high MMR, it may not always be necessary, obviously that isn't the case, but to talk about tunneling like it's, say Stretch Resolution (which you survivor-mostly players always find some BS way to defend) is a falsehood. It is a sometimes necessary tool, and people should stop trying to imply it as a skill-less action. It's no less skilled than anything regarding rushing gens with BNP, the only skill based interactions in this game are chase based.

  • I don't know if this is a coincidence because I'm playing Pinhead, but for some reason. All the games where I'm close to victory, the whole game is getting shut down before I get to actually claim victory.....

    I

t's getting very suspicious. I play on PS4, but it can't be a coincidence in the games where I only get a single kill or 0k, my games go through to the end, but if I, for instance, down multiple survivors in endgame for being too altruistic and pick one up, or say I'm hooking the last survivor in a trial where I killed everyone else without issue... the game crashes out and I get a disconnected from host.

And it's not like the game would have ended immediately after that hook. I also keep seeing the last two or single survivor on the end screen somehow end up not being sacrificed or DC'd... Is this just a glitch, because it's seemingly very convenient, and the condition is just vague enough to make me question

For Nurse and Billy, yes. Console Nurse isn't mechanically limited by anything - you can still be accurate enough with your blinks on a controller and with practice the only issue will be the framedrops and stutters. Billy is much the same, but obviously won't be as rewarding because of the near-impossibility of hitting a smart survivor at a decent loop with the Chainsaw. Curving is harder but curving has become a pipe dream on most reworked tiles to begin with.

Blight, though, is hard-capped on a controller. It's better now than it used to be, but you still lose out on accuracy - and especially with Rushes, the incredibly high Rush sensitivity combined with the narrow hitbox of a lunge out of Lethal Rush means you will often curve around a corner only to miss a good 30° to the left or right of someone, which doesn't really occur on PC. There's also DPI and all of the other PC exclusive Blight issues.

Blight and Trickster, followed up by Huntress are the killers who suffer on a controller the most. Most other killers at least function, even if not to the best of their ability, and you can make them work. These three killers will always be much weaker than they could be.

I don't even think Huntress is really even hurt that bay by controller. It's not quite as accurate as a mouse, but I haven't had too many moments playing her where I felt betrayed by the controls.

yeah i deff see huntress palyers in a new light that ax throwing is insanely difficult for me to predict. im used to just yeeting knives with trickster not holding/charging an ax throw. i still hate huntress mains(because theyre hard for me to win against) but i deff respect their ax throwing more

    Do you play on console?

On the contrary I can... due to players on the ground after using it

And I know it breaks the game on console cause I play on Xbox

I think that makes it even. On PS4, they literally teleport, or I might end up backwards somehow. Ever 5.1.0 I haven't had it work in my favor once

Is there a way to recall Victor from a survivor holding him hostage? I didn’t see that in their power description. It was pretty frustrating being M1.

Yes, but it's only after about 30 seconds or so. It should allow you to recall victor with R2 if you're on playstation, right trigger on xbox

The end justifies the means, or so they say.

Are u willing to make the game extremely miserable for that one survivor in order to win? What about the next 100000 who are going to get the same treatment?

Ask those 10000 survivors if they're going to handicap themselves the next time they spawn on a gen before the killer even loads in

I do agree that some perks are stronger then skill...

If the game forced both sides to not run perks (as far as "skill rating" is concerned) then we might see what's what in this game

The thing about NOED is that it's inactive for most of the match... so the Killer is using three perks and get % haste and the ability to insta-down Survivors to which is fair... but what if the tied NOED to how many totems are left when it activates (1-3 % haste, 4-5 insta-downs)

DS isn't as strong as it was before (which is a good thing) due to the many conditions of removal: Healing (getting healed and healing others), Repair, Saving, Totem cleansing... but can someone tell me if it's immediate or does it have wiggle room

Ruin is good (but now that every good survivor hits greats a % of time makes other perks not as good....... Gearhead) if it lasts some time... which is hard due to survivors finding out you are using it right off the bat then go to find it... Which brings in Undying was OP at first but now it's fair

Unbreakable was strong when DS didn't have the conditions it has now... but in a pinch it still is good (but the chances you get full use out of it are smaller now)

Dead Hard is strong (if lag wasn't a thing) cause it's activatable so you get to chose when to use it... but you don't go far

Tinkerer I can understand why... but why add Undetectable to it

But how good can we be without using perks🤔and not by choice... or addons for killer and no items brought into the match for survivor

You can't use the bugs of DH against it as a negative anymore, it literally breaks the game for killer on console now. It's basically a free escape when used now.

If you move left or right the hit box is separated into 2 hits you got the line check with the blue line then a head check with the whip

Wanted to see if so eone brought this up. His whip can actually be quite forgiving if you know how to use this to your advantage. That first clip, same scenario, I'm usually able to hit survivors with that much of their hotbox showing as long as I react correctly
