I feel like a challenge system would be overwhelming considering tomes already have challenges and daily rituals

At the risk of riling people up... I don't think the changes to his dash are actually a nerf... his S&D distance is pretty insane now, and where it is slower, it is easier to control, especially for a controller player... and I always support any hamge that bridges the PC/controller gap.
One thing I really like is the duration and slower speed makes it easier to control your dash after you scamper... this means scampering during slice and dice actually feela more viable as a legitimate mind game, rather than how it was before, where it was stupid to even try… while it isn't his old scamper, this actually hits a nice middle ground, that makes it an actual part of his kit, and makes Chucky feel a little more unique again.
Now all that said... the 14s cooldown is UNDENIABLY a nerf... but I think that's the part that is actually hitting people the hardest.
His new S&D when people get used to it I think is fine
I do partially agree. I think the speed nerf reduces his potential slightly but it does make it easier to maneuverer.
Cooldown is what makes it so he can't keep up with Spirit, Wesker, Blight anymore. Their cooldown add-ons are also insane, relatively. -

I am beyond myself with gratitude. 💐💐💐
Sincerely, I love horror. I love this game. And I love this community. I’ve always found a home in the horror genre- I’m sure many of us can relate. For one reason or another we are all here enjoying this game together.
@TheSingularity (pre and post 😊)
@CountOfTheFog 😊😄💐
@Shroompy 😊😄💐
+ Everyone else I didn’t list!!! 💐💐💐
I’m a huge fan of being the change you want to see. The above people have demonstrated a willingness to be that change while remaining their authentic selves. I see Dbd reflected in every single person listed and on this forum. These people will give you the best that they have to offer. Why not match that passion and be the change you want the dbd community to become? Why not? It can happen. They can help you get there.
I wanted to thank @For_The_People for being the first person from the forums that I’ve ever played Dbd with. He is a very sweet person who will give you his time of day in earnest if you need him to. He’s one of the prime examples of politeness in this community. Thank you for being a positive force in the community. 😊😊😊
Lastly I need to thank @solarjin1 . What can I say? When you meet a friend that gets you, you both just know it. Her courage to be funny and humorous are so infectious. She told me that the small pallet in rpd was the most op pallet. I was so naive of game knowledge that I believed her! LMAO! After that I realized that it was anything goes when it came to humor with her. I’m at my best when I can be silly. Solarjin1 is that friend who brings out the best in me. Thank you Solarjin1 for all the laughs and for the laughs to come 😂 I’m going to be collecting🤣🤣🤣
None of this would be possible if we didn’t have a phenomenal community team here to support us discussing this twisted hobby we all have. Thank you again to everyone at Bhvr for putting your hearts and souls (ha!) into everything that is Dbd.
They say you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar…
Let’s just use blood instead 🩸😈🩸
Happy Holidays everyone, I hope everyone stays safe and has a wonderful New Years 😊🎉
Thank you for your kindness 😄❤️
I think it's really great that BHVR is recognising people that bring the community together. -
They tweeted out saying to compensate for mistle toes being bugged, bone chill has a 100% queue bonus. So it's not gonna be fixed but they're keeping them active so you can use them for snow skulls at the start and an extra chest
-
Hillbilly tip if you are on PC. Use Q and E for turning, makes using the chainsaw so much easier.
-
I've played chucky for several hours after his changes and i think they are really not that bad, and i honestly think it has been overstated by the general community.
The change was likely made to address survivor feedback of chucky feeling like he gets guranteed hits. Therefore expecting a simple revert without any other change to take its place is unreasonable.
I also think too many people have not even given the changes a fair chance. Too many people went off first impressions from only reading them, or other people's experience.
It is slower, but after getting used to it i can still get loads of slice and dice hits.
I think "it feels bad" is too subjective of a reason to just instantly revert it.
I think BHVR should let the changes settle for at least a few months, to give players on both sides time to adjust.
I personally don't really like the ideas of alternative solutions, such as increasing the charge time. I think that would make him a lot weaker than what we have now. -
I don't think so. Q4 is just usually a rough period for dead by daylight for whatever reason. The rest of the year was great.

Don't forget that they removed the hindered that survivors got just from being infected but not fully infected. It used to be 5 percent when infected and 8 percent when fully infected. Now its just 4 percent when fully infected
This was never in the game.
-
I think wesker is overrated to be honest. Power is not very applicable at loops. Unless you do hug tech but it's unacceptably complex

Ran into a houndmaster just now who was using the bug. Hope this gets killswitched either today or monday.
0 chance of the new killer getting kill switched unfortunately

This happened to me as well. Also, houndmaster has a major camera issue when exiting a snowman. It goes all over the place

and this is the roadmap for december (basically already done)

Yeah, it means that Doctor isn't as omni-opressive with static blast to interrupt. It also means that Singularity's add-on, broken security key, will see less use as the emped cameras will not reboot in time if a survivor is cleansing a totem.
I think its a better solution than the sledgehammer approach that could have been done when it comes to balancing. Like for example, they could have instead nerfed Doctor by making static blast have a longer cooldown like 48 or 49 or 50 seconds if they chose not to fix TOTH. I don't think the players would have been happy about that.Fair enough
-
Add-on saves 0.056 seconds now. Terrible.
-
Is it really? It's going from 70% to 60%. This is 46 seconds to cleanse a totem to 35 seconds.
-
It wasn't a nerf out of nowhere.
They doubled the duration from 30 to 60.
Then later they removed the 1st kick requirement so it's just always just the last generator you kick.
In a hotfix of that patch they reduced the duration to 45 seconds 🤷 -
Sorry but map offerings are pain. I won't support the idea of allowing them to be used even more. I wish they would be removed entirely.

Has it? Was it forum redesign 2 or 3 that started this because it feels recentish. I just wish they'd go back to the very first iteration of the forums idk why they ever changed it to be this ugly simplistic way it is now
i didn't know there was a 3rd one but it's since the tags turned from red to white, over a year ago
-
I mean to be clear this has been this way since the forum redesign. Maybe this new one just doesn't support it idk. But yes i do miss this functionality

There's no current plan to change Shoulder of Burden, it was adjusted from the PTB - Live, and it is something that will be monitored on our side, if we see it behaving problematically then it's of course something that we can change, for right now we're happy with how it's performing.
Is the team aware of the bug where shoulder the burden will randomly NOT apply exposed?
-
I think they reduced his speed to address the feedback of feeling like chucky gets guranteed hits, to make him more react able.
I've played chucky for a few hours today and i feel like you can still get a lot of slice and dice hits. And it may feel easier to control. But you can't really use it at short pallet loops anymore. So i am unsure if it has really addressed anything. -

I mean, “zero counterplay” is also true the other way round without the Endurance effect.
If the killer is well-positioned and the hook wasn’t right next to the gate, that survivor is dead.
precisely!

Green moris are really rare in general because the rare item pool is flooded by map offerings

Afaik the last i heard. They've run out of spaces for profile pictures and cant add anymore.

@Mandy said:
Hi all, I have a small update for you with regards to this. It is NOT a bug that Floods of Rage and Gift of Pain activate when a survivor is hooked on a normal hook, that's then turned into a Scourge Hook with Jagged Compass - the act of turning the hook into a Scourge Hook when that survivor is unhooked takes precedence. So whilst perks such as Pain Res won't activate (because that happens when you are immediately put on the hook), those two listed above have a different activation condition.
We will monitor it of course, but for now - as it's working in game is the correct way of it working.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention <3
This is great thanks so much for clarifying 😄

Hi all! We will have our normal cadence of hotfixes - slightly different time frame, but you can definitely expect 2 prior to the holiday break. There will be adjustments to Houndmaster as well as to the Live Balance changes from PTB (as explained in the Developer Update, these were released the same way they were in PTB), there will also be a lot of bug fixes that you can expect. Not all that we're finding now will make it for the first hotfix as time is always a constraint, but we're aiming to get as many in as is humanly possible.
We do appreciate your patience, we understand very well how frustrating it is waiting for these changes <3
Appreciate it Mandy 😄

Feels worse to me to be honest. Long range stalking is so inconvenient because maps aren't designed for that.

This cosmetic is rated as Ultra Rare however it ultimately falls flat compared to other Ultra Rare skins and is generally not worth the money. Costing 1755 Auric Cells, it costs 20 USD to purchase this skin, it also breaks the price standardization that BHVR said they were doing awhile back since it is more expensive than other Ultra Rare cosmetics.
Naughty Bear costs 1484 Auric Cells, or 15 USD. Naught Bear was the first skin to ever get a unique Mori animation and was even given a specific quality tied to the Mori Animation to show this off (the blood at the edge of the cosmetic portrait). They also feature unique voicelines and voicelines in the lobby.
Ultimate Houndmaster, which is more expensive, is just a linked skin that is more expensive. Yes the dog has a new visual change and it is the first time we have gotten a Killer power cosmetic, but it has no new Mori animation (despite having that quality for the portrait showing that it does), no new voicelines, and the same animations for general gameplay.
Furthermore, you cant even use the dog cosmetic separately from the rest of the character, meaning that if you like the dog but the skin, you are forced to use the skin, or if you like the skin but hate the dog, you are forced to use the dog. It's not it's own separate option.
And with all of these issues, not even accounting for how buggy and glitchy Houndmaster is on release, the skin costs MORE than other Ultra Rare skins? It is generally not worth it, and I dont see many people (outside of content creators or people with a large amount of disposable income) buying this since the other options for Ultra Rare give so much more for cheaper.
Please decrease the price or update this cosmetic to make it more worth the money;
~ You can try to include unique voicelines that only show up on the skin and add a unique Mori. The skin will be well worth the price with these additions.
~ Or you can decrease the overall price to make it more in line with other cosmetics. Currently, you are paying for less, so it should at least be at the standard Ultra Rare pricing.The price for visceral was already made inconsistent when they released Were-Elk for huntress. They then claimed Naughty Bear's price is lower as an "early purchase bonus" or something like that.
This cosmetic for houndmaster is disappointing and below expectations that were set by the calender image.
And it's defeated the point of the visceral tag now. Whats the point of making a tag that can mean 2 different things, what are they going to do if they want to make a skin that has a customised power and a unique mori?
As well as that it's a legendary cosmetic when they've said before that legendaries are supposed to be for transforming into licensed characters although that was already made inconsistent with AOT cosmetics -
My mmr experience has been unpleasent since 2v8. Yesterday i went against a literal comp swf as myers and then i go against new players as Oni.
-
She's broken/clunky/unreliable as well as undertuned. She might feel decent against survivors that don't look behind them but against survivors that know how to play against her, she's very easy to avoid.
In this state it's not a killer i will play for much longer. I gave her another try and my opinion just got worse. -
So i checked the wiki to confirm and she has three score events… and the highest being 200.
This killer is less than unrewarding.
-
I personally like the live version more. I think the PTB version is too calm.

Isnt that an argument for trapper tho? As if the dog drags someone to a pallet theyll just stun it and get freed, in fact it can help the survivor, unlike trapper.
Yes it's an argument for trapper, the discussion is "Houndmaster > Trapper"
-
Trapper's traps don't drag survivors to pallets and they can't drop pallets whilst in them so im inclined to disagree
-
Yes you get far more. Otz demonstrated on stream yesterday, on his p100 plague he had 700 of nearly every brown offering and 200 of sacrificial ward collected previously. You will get far more.
-
I used for a few hours yesterday with a no mither build for the 2 achievements. I feel like i got value out of it in like 6/20 matches. If you get hooked before someone else gets hooked twice i feel like it's useless like deliverance. So i wouldn't make this part of my main build.
I think it is strong perk though in the matches i used it the game ended in multiple escapes or 1 gen left or all gens done.
But, i just don't think it's an easy choice like Made For This was due to it's conditions -
Completely agreed.
39% positive on steam, people are not happy with the AI of the dog. -
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
I played him for hours today. He felt so good. The tier 1 buff was heaven. The double stalk on survivors, I never ran out of evil within, and was popping tier 3's left and right. I strongly recommend trying lock of hair. 40 extra seconds on tier 3, with only 50% stalk required, you do so much damage with a single tier 3, and it doesn't reset the stalk meter back to zero when tier 3 runs out either.
I do agree that the stalking up close multiplier should be buffed a bit, I think to 0.6 at least. The iri add ons need some changes. The 400% stalk is ridiculous. Far too harsh. If anyone wants the evil incarnate achievement, go with the piece. You can get 4 kills with it, and its a lot easier.
Yes exactly. The ultra rares are what make him feel nerfed.
-
She's too buggy and search is still too undertuned in terms of range and houndsense still does not make much sense.
I dont think i'll be playing her much in this state, i'll keep an eye on to see what gets fixed though -
The bugs make her not competitively viable. I played a match as this killer on midwich and it was completely unfair, the dog would drag the survivor from a doorway to a pallet, and sometimes the dog was not even there after issuing a chase command, it was on a different floor or on the other side of the map.
I do love this chapters contents but the killer is frustrating to play and it's as i said on PTB feedback if these issues dont get addressed she will not be played for long. -
I agree making tags like Visceral have mutliple meanings defeats the point of making these tags in the first place.
The only real meaning it starts to have is the price which is still inconsistent because of Naughty Bear -
@Vishlumbra said:
You are all completely right, I mean, is a super strong perk in the sense that it extends the life of a survivor, and grants the team the possibility to define who will be at risk. Thanks all.
True
However i think in the average match, solo q especially, it wont be that good.
The only scenario i see this perk being useful is you have the opportunity to unhook a survivor who is on death hook and you have no hooks. Considering the top 2 perks being pain res and grim embrace reward hooking unique survivors, this situation isn't favoured to happen.
Not only that but you have to also survive 40 seconds after unhooking, and i think if you are already in the scenario above you are probably playing against a killer that is playing aggressively and trying to secure that kill anyway.
However this is looking at the perk from a point of view of all survivors hook stages have equal value. In more advanced play, you could say that depending on perks and player skill level some survivor hook stages are more valuable than others, which would make the perk more applicable.
But like i said in the average match i dont think this can really happen and i anticipate this perk will be like unbreakable/deliverance where people wont get value of it in enough matches to justify consistently bringing it.
I could be wrong, maybe i am missing something but this is what i think for now
