S: Nurse, Spirit, Blight
A: Everyone Else.
I'm happy as long as i get a game, and have good teammates.
-
In addition they need to fix immersive gameplay when all remaining survivors refuse to do gens. Happened quite often when there is only 2 survivors left.
-
I support you. If survivors dare to unhook in my face, damn right i'm tunnelling.

I'm someone who is very in favor of the DS nerf, but I disagree that them being healed by someone else should deactivate the perk. Healing under hook is very common, to the point that a lot of times I will need to tear myself away from the rescuer trying to farm me for 2000 altruism instead of 1500 because the killer is coming right back to the hook. If the other player is being heal-happy and preventing me from leaving as quickly as I'd like, that would be an awful way to lose DS. I don't run DS, but an overly-altruistic survivor healing me for a half second and me losing the perk would be infuriating if it did happen.
Honestly if you're downing someone within a minute and they were being healed by someone else, that does actually sound like tunneling at that point. They hadn't put themselves back into the game yet and were in fact making another survivor take themselves out of the game to heal them as well. You could've easily gone for the healer at that point and chose not to. That's on you, not on them.
If they healed pass 50% it should deactivate. That way your teammate can’t sandbag you either.

i get that. But losing DS for something outside your control shouldn't be a thing. @OmegaXII suggestion could work better for example
You can stop healing by running away. Devs have changed it a long time ago. If you let that healing pass 50% or until full health, that means you allow it.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
The DS user can control when to heal someone or do gens. The DS user can't really control to not get healed, especially since heals right after a unhook is really common.
At least DS should be gone if healing is halfway or until full health.

I’ve seen people said it’s bugged right now, but I’m not sure.
They mentioned the rate of spawning rare items increased drastically. That’s why a lot of keys.
-
4 DH, 4 BT, 1 OoO, 4 UB, 3 Prove Thyself.
4 Purple toolboxes with BNP.
1 offering for “The Game” map
3 offering for increasing hook distance.
Yay, you can escape under 5 mins with 2 to 3 hooks
(I don’t use DS because killers has to respect it anyway, and killer loses anyway)
Edit: Ops didn’t see the single pick perk restriction. But anyway, for “casual” players, this is it. And also this is one of the reason why this game can’t have tournament.
-
What you’re asking is DC without penalty just like earlier days.
First down? Suicide. Snowball slugging? Suicide. Slug for DS? Suicide.
Yay, DC penalty now does nothing except punish people leaving for legit reason.

But they are. The common killer main argument is “it’s an anti-tunnel perk!”, but how can it serve that purpose if a survivor is tunneled off the hook but then ignored for the duration of the DS timer before hooked again?
This was already being done, yes, but at least before, survivors were able to progress their goals before being slugged this way. And nobody can argue that tunneling hasn’t drastically increased since the DS change.
You know, if killer slugs to avoid DS, then DS does its job. It gives you a free hook state, and that’s huge already.

He’s sliding even more now than before.

To be fair dead zones are perfect for every single killer.

I thought for a lil while that it was intended as well, since the changes mention the slowdown was added.
I was like oh no 🙄
Me too. I’m glad to see it’s a bug. I lose so much distance with that slowdown to a point it’s really unbearable.
I’ll play him again once this bug is fixed.

the perk isnt even that powerful. its like a 2 out of 5.
Although it’s not strong, it is still unhealthy. Just like old legion, weak and unhealthy.
-
That perk is unhealthy. It basically punishes killers for not tunnelling.
-
@SilentPill said:
I just tunnel if there’s no obsession, survivors don’t wanna pay the DS tax and instead been stacking up on the other second chance perks instead. No reason not to punish the greed.
I have seen rank 1 survivors use DH and sprint burst together... like what??
They loved meta perks so much to this extend lol..
-
Yep i know the feeling of leaving. It feels like all your efforts are down the drains. I have been through this many, many times.
However, i think you should leave and take a break. Getting too attached to a thing is not good for your health. Sure the moment you dropped the game the feeling sucks, but afterwards you’ll realise how stressful you were, and how much stress you have relieved yourself. Trust me, that feeling is really wonderful.
-
The moment MMR is implemented I’m out.
I play video games for fun. Life is already stress enough, so i definitely won’t deal with that.
Meanwhile to top survivors, enjoy your game with long queues and only with nurse and spirit.
-
Clearly you got outplayed by that survivor. How dumb are you to possibly not realise that? /s

@Axe said:
truly shows how many dog players relied on that perk....
Couldn't agree more. DS usage is really going down, and survivors are all playing a lot safer than before. No more invincible bullshit
Cant express how happy i am with words..
-
You sure get me hahaha. Nice bait :)
-
Yes. When i play as leatherface my game literally freeze when i'm near a wall, and then the next second i'm in tantrum.
No, i'm not being bad. I'm sure that i did not hit the wall, but somehow the game freeze just at that point, and i'm hit.
Happened twice in my last game.

I'm generally curious as to how many people on these forums still play DBD, and who here doesn't play anymore. I recently made the decision that I didn't want to play DBD anymore because it doesn't seem like the game is gonna get better thanks to the bad balancing decisions, and how bad things have been since the Halloween Event. So if you still play DBD would like to know why, and if you don't then I imagine it might be the same with my reasoning.
I'm at the edge of leaving this game entirely.
-
By useful you mean meta perks?
IMO all current meta perks need a tune down. So if you're asking for a meta perk i'll be very sad :)

You either misread my comments or didnt read them at all. I'm saying I agree that original DS was broken. I'm not saying I want it back. What I am saying is that the current DS does a piss poor job as an anti-tunneling perk - especially compared to other perks like BT. What I want are minor tweaks to make it better as an anti-tunnel perk and to actually help if the person is being legit tunneled - like working off both hooks.
IMO BT is also broken. You can bodyblock the killer even though the killer is actively trying to not tunnel you.
I wouldn’t mind DS being better and being basekit, but killers should be buffed overall for it, like pop basekit.

Its not though. And it never did, thats the problem.
DS is now supposed to be soley an anti-tunnel perk (no longer an anti-momentum perk). It was heavily nerfed without any buffs to compensate.
Considering you literally cant do anything and maintain DS it should have been heavily buffed to compensate. It doesnt stop tunneling. It buys you a couple of seconds before you get hooked again. It should at least activate twice and have a longer stun duration. Heck, at this stage I'd nearly be okay with it teleporting the survivor across the map when it activates because right now it does nothing to stop tunneling and killers know that.
Anti-momentum perk... why the hell should we have this kind of perk?
Wanna hear killer equivalent perk like this? Each time a gen is done, every other gens instantly regress 50% progress. Anti-momentum, right? Definitely fair.
This kind of perk should never, EVER, exist in the first place. The fact it existed for 4 years is already a miracle, and you guys are so boosted by this broken perk.

It’s definitely related to BHVR. After all it’s their patch that ruins my game files.
Even if it’s EAC problem, they should take the responsibility and fix the issue with EAC

Having to choose between being totally useless or having a totally useless perk, I don't call it adaptation, I call it a useless, even harmful perk. Worse, this one no longer makes it possible to resist a snowball from the killer. Other more interesting perks (like BT) will certainly replace DS, or the unhooked survivor will immediately go look for the killer to make him eat the DS, with a bait-locker or not (although that was not the spirit of the perk...) and the killers' slightest complaint about it will be laughable.
The perk has never been abused, it has always been used the way it works: it's active for 60 seconds after being unhooked. Additionally, this perk never guaranteed a survivor to be safe, even if the killer ate the DS. This perk gave no immunity. A survivor who has just been hooked and then unhooked could totally receive hits, and be in a dying state (state in which the survivor can no longer repair a generator, etc., you will have noticed), something that the killers refused to do for some unknown reason.
It is this nerf which is abusive and very poorly executed. One or more changes to DS were audible, but not these.
You stated the exact reason why DS was nerfed.
-
Those who stopped using DS are those who abused it. They never intended to use DS as anti-tunnel at all.
However, those are the same people claiming to bring DS as only an anti-tunnel perk and insurance. I assure you they didn't.

How does getting good help against a tunneler? With how easy it deactivates and lost, its a free pass to tunnel.
Being restrained is not fun.
You decide to deactivate it yourself. Killers can't force you to do gens, healing, do totems, unhooks, etc etc.
You have only yourself to blame, kid.
-
Those who stop using DS are those who abuse 60s immunity.
The power in anti-tunnel is not touched. A huge drop of usage basically means people are not using it as anti-tunnel in the first place
-
So? This DS change does not change its power in anti-tunnel. It's those who wants to abuse it are affected. Those people drop DS now because they never intended to use it as anti-tunnel.
And, you need to know why killers tunnel. It's because this game is not balanced. Killers don't get any incentives for letting the fresh hooked guy leave. In fact, they suffer from it because the next time you see them, it's full health and needs 2 hits to down again, wasting a lot of time.
If you really want to fix tunneling, give a huge incentive for killers to go after unhooker, and i'm asking for basekit incentive. Otherwise it'll never be fixed, and DS will never become basekit.

A killer shouldn't receive a free "Tunnel pass" bc no one decided to bring an obs. perk. Of course they can still tunnel, but at a risk and that's why the obs should be base-kit. Running DS shouldn't be "required" just to have a chance to play the game and have fun. I do hope people realize tunneling really makes the match less fun.
Also the buff killer statement... mmm. The gap between solo que vs swf needs to decreased if you want killers to be buffed. Having obs. be base-kit would help solo groups (though its not a perfect change) and give them a fighting chance. A good 3/4-man swf doesn't have to worry all too much, but I'm worrying about those who play solo. This may encourage solo's to play swf more, but killers complain about that... and now an already big issue just got bigger. So I don't see why having obs. be base-kit would be bad. Killer's don't deserve a free "Tunnel pass". It's not fun nor healthy.
Obsession base basically means you're asking for the effect of DS, despite not bringing it. Survivors have 16 perks in total, and you all can't afford to use even 1 DS? You know how powerful DS is even after the nerf.
Do you think killer likes to tunnel? Killers tunnel because the game has design problems. Going for 12 hook is almost impossible against survivors with equal skill. At the same time, there is no incentive whatsoever for killers that don't tunnel. Sometimes killers have to tunnel to even have chance, like those games with first hook with 3 gens done. I can guarantee you killers that play "fair" (Not tunneling not camping) will have lower win rates overall.
Don't misunderstood me. I wouldn't mind DS being basekit, as long as killers are all buffed, like pop basekit or something. As for solo, i'm all for buffing solos to SWF level, and buff all killers across the board.
-
So you want to benefit from the perk (Prevent tunneling) despite not bringing it? No, i don't think so.
Unless they buff killer overall, they shouldn't do this.
-
I would rather spend my shards for twins than this killer.. Actually.. i did!

-
Why not go for 50 lose streak? And play with your full strength and no mercy.
I personally think its possible with the new killer lol.
-
Zero. I don’t even need to boot up the game to feel fatigue. Just looking at the game icon brings me stress, tiredness and miserable feelings. I haven’t being playing this game for more than one week.
You guessed it. I mainly play killer. I really, really don’t want to deal with that at the moment.
-
I started to choose my opponent recently about a month or 2.
Why do i do it? Because i can. I can choose not play against bully squad because of how quick the queue time is.
Don’t blame me. I play games for fun, not be miserable.

They want to keep bully simulator because playing against equal skill requires a modicum of effort.
To be fair if players with equal skill are matched with each other, killer will almost always lose

No. This game is not balanced enough for a SBM. I don't want to sweat every game just to have a chance, and in some games i don't even have a chance even if i sweat.
