That sliding is INSANE… now i believe he is just like nurse… strong, but infested with bugs which will never be fixed..
And these survivors are really, really bad. One of them even runs in straight line in hopes of getting away from blight… I wouldn’t be surprised if these survivors are in red ranks.
And the DCs… damn i hate them.

we can try. Can we at least get points for trying.
I will, in fact, and I'm gladly to do so. But I won't get my hopes up..
-
I'm from SEA, and the queues are really like that. I haven't have my killer queue longer than 20 secs in my entire playtime.
And players here are really not joking around. Everyone uses meta perks here and sweats like hell. It literally forces me to sweat every game. And the salt is real here. Everyone is blaming each other, not just to the killer.
This is why i haven't touched this game for 2 months already..
-
Let’s be real here. It doesn’t work.
The matchmaking is still as rubbish as ever, matching new players to veterans. Smurfing still exists. Bully squads still exists. Toxic people still exists. These things are the one who keep new players out. It has always been like that.
If it doesn’t work before, it certainly doesn’t work this time.
-
Not really care about their roadmap. They’re all of the same, chapters, patches, chapters, and they always screw it up with lots of bugs anyway.
-
Those perks at least requires killers to work for it.
But for this combo? Slap on it and you're good to go. The only work you need to do is.... get hooked?
But i'm not here to argue about this "free" term. I'm just mentioning my concern about the combo, and how it really affects the game especially in indoor map.

NOED is a perk that's "free", where it activates without any effort from the user, and it has a very huge benefit. you bring it, you benefit from it. sometimes you don't even have to bring it to have its effect, since some people might fear it and leave the trial without wanting to risk it going for a save.
anyway, here's a post where you said NOED is underpowered, has counterplay, and needs a buff
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1725142#Comment_1725142
quit while you're behind.
NOED is indeed underpowered IMO. Good against solo queues that are altruistic. But if survivors are clever, the perk itself really doesn't do much.
Most of the time NOED only gives 1 instadown in the whole game, and it's at the last stage of the game. Here are some scenario
- 4 people alive. You're gonna to proceed with camping anyway. That means there's plenty of time for survivors to find the totem and breaks it, DS+BT+bodyblock+99% gate, save the person on killer face and get out. Unless that person is really unlucky to be hooked around the totem.
- 2-3 people alive. This is uncommon in the game. So if survivors simply leave, you get only 1 extra kill. And you probably can more than 1 kill if you bring something even better like PGTW.
- 1 people alive. Doesnt mean anything. You won the game already.
Another thing is it can be removed from the game before it even does anything. And you're basically playing the game with 3 perks the whole game just for an instadown in end game. That doesn't seem good for me.
-
@th3 said:
You realistically only get 29-37 seconds of use since the timer still decreases while healing. This is assuming the killer also doesn't have any slowdown perks affecting healing. What could've been a meta change for survivors that killers complain about so much has panned out to be little more than yet another niche perk.
It still almost guarantees escape on first hit. That's not a small deal since early game is so important for killers.
-
Now i'll tunnel more because i know more survivors won't bring DS anymore. Good Luck.
-
Any link?
-
The term "free" comes from the perk just activates without any effort from the user, and it has a very huge benefit. You bring it, you benefit from it. Sometimes you don't even have to bring it to have its effect if the person on hook happens to have this combo.
-
One thing I’m concern is Open Handed + Kindred.
Free killer aura in 32 meters from hooks is kind of broken, especially in small maps.
Lets be real, it’s very common for killers to be within that range while chasing another survivor. This just makes mindgame impossible until survivor is unhooked
-
The problem with dead hard is it only gets used at the last moment when you're just about to end the chase. So if they get away with DH, you have to waste additional time on downing that survivor, otherwise your time committed before is wasted. That's why it's unfair. All other exhaustion perk doesn't have this issue except DH.
Another problem is DH does not have requirement. Being injured is not a requirement. Unless you're versing instadown killer, it's always there to use.
-
I have seen surge of OoO usage after they announced the nerf. Almost every game there's a OoO
I'm gonna drop the game until the live patch comes.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/242162/lucky-break-will-become-meta-and-its-bad
It's not like players use poised lightweight distortion etc... Why would they use lucky break? + It's only 90 seconds and when you heal urself it will take time It will NOT become meta
Early game is the most important part for killers. This perk just makes that harder.
And no, survivor won’t be stupid enough to heal in that 90 secs. They’ll be doing gens and bail away when killer approaches, which he can’t track in any way.
Not to mention this makes chase extremely annoying for killers. Paired with iron will, you have no way to know how survivors loop because you need to moonwalk or hide behind walls to trick survivors, basically means loss of sight. This makes mindgame nearly impossible. They can leave the loop at any moment and you won’t know.
-
They should do more for BT that used for bodyblock.
-
I agree they should make the collision disappear. It's being abused now.
-
Absolutely not necessary. It's even longer than legion's stun.
-
Twins change are very, very bad. You now get punished for both successful and unsuccessful pounce.
Who thinks 5 secs stun is good idea? Survivor can literally run for 20 meters to crush him and start healing.

If you read my next comment you'd see I thought Lucky Break worked on unhook because I haven't used it in a long time. The comment that had been up for like an hour and a half before you responded..
Okay my bad, sorry :)

@Todgeweiht said:
I think it was made to compensate for the camera change. Still not a good nerf.
If anything it makes twins an even better camper. There is no other reason to switch over to charlotte when you're controlling victor other than defending hooks.
-
@Pulsar said:
Twins mains now know what it's like to use Legion's power.
Bad reward and you get to eat a longer stun than Nurse.
It's even worse than Legion. 1 more second than legion's abysmal stun.... and survivors can completely counter him by grouping up..

It's not that difficult. The most information that SWF have can be added as additional gfx elements to survivor avatars: a survivor is being chased, a survivor hears a heartbeat (just add a hear-beating icon). It's not necessary to bring solo to the same level, they just have to make solo much closer to SWF and it doesn't require that much coding effort. No new sounds, no 3d models, no new game logic. They just refuse to for some reason or don't care, that's it.
Giving totem counter is easy, buffing solos to SWF isn't.
And if they really do this, all killers will be underpowered. That means they need to revisit every killers. I can assure they won't like this.
-

They don't turn invisible. You can still see and hear them. Even if they have Iron Will you'll hear them repairing or healing.
The killers this affects the most are tunnelers.
Oh, so i hit you, i chase you, and i'm tunnellers?? What are you thinking?
-
Reduction of snares basically means you can't use it as trap now. So only as chase tool now.
However, i can't accept they reduce pallet freddy. It's already weak, and nerfing it even more just makes every pallet add-ons useless.
-
They won't ever buff solos to SWF level in terms of base game. Too much effort.
SWF on comms will always get free perks, and solos and killers are always gonna suffer.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Wait... What??? Lol
They really don’t want anyone playing Twins do they? 😂
Pouncing as Victor is probably the most fun you get out of playing this killer, why on earth would they make it punishing to pounce?
Gets punished for both successful and unsuccessful pounce.... Great change from these devs.. /s
-
@BabyCameron10 said:
Just what an unpopular killer needed.
it is even worse with legion’s stun, and that is already a nightmare to deal with.
5 secs... are these devs even thinking? All survivors within 20 m radius can literally run to crush you...
-
@Zaytex said:
Yeah IDK why you would ever pick Twins after this. You're punished so highly for using your power right. This makes staying in pairs against the Twins even more stronger.
Yeah. Exactly my thought. Eats DS for downing someone, gets kicked for missing pounce, low reward on pouncing healthy survivors, can’t do anything even when they group up injured...
Man.... she’s dropping the tier list so much. Her only form of pressure, snowball, gets gutted. Now she’s even better camper with instant switch..

I think the complaints are generally more to do with how unfair a key escape feels as opposed to the sheer volume of them.
Don't get me wrong. It's a bs mechanism. I just personally haven't came across many key escapes in my nearly 2k hours.
My experience is when I’m starting to come back as killer with 1 gens left, boom there is key escape.
Thats why i almost always use franklins. Even they sometimes they can still escape with keys because they found it in chest, or just drop it beforehand and comeback for it.
And postgame chat makes it even worse..
-
There is one thing I’m confused. They removed all action speed slowdowns on freddy, but now they add action speed increase to perks? Strange thinking here.

Blocks gates for someone that falls asleep for 10 seconds...lol
Apparently anything beyond 10 secs is broken... we have at least 2 mins in EGC, and 10 secs is what they gave him...

Basically this.
How often do you lose a kill to a key?
I honestly can't think of any in the last couple of months.
Very often. There is a reason why so many people complain about it.
2 gens left with 2 ppl left? Or 1 gens left with 3 ppl left? Very often they ended with key escape, robbing me my kills where i can do nothing about it. Hell they don’t even need to bring a key, you can just stumble across one and get your free escape.

There would still be hatch camping, one survivor just waits until the other dies.
But the idea is good. Only one should be able to escape using hatch, and key would only reopen it if killer closes it.
No it won't. Hatch don't spawn until only one survivor left. That means survivor won't know where the hatch will be.
@Nameless said:
It still grants the survivor with the key a free escape with this suggestion. Sure, you can't bring your friends along but you'll still get out only because you brought an item.
Also, hatch offerings exist meaning that hatch camping would still be a thing. They'll just wait at the location they already know it will spawn.
Yep if it's EGC it's basically free escape. However it's only 1 person. As for hatch offering, again it's just one person, so that's okay.

That's because killer is too easy.
Yeah, too easy to win, that's why people don't play killer.
Kind of wonder why we have so many people that wants to torture themselves to play as survivors that can almost never win. What a world we're in..
-
Even if SBM really showed them how broken this game is, it won’t change a thing.
Buffing all killers except for 2 is too much work, and i can assure you these devs don’t want to do that. Just for record they took years to implement the current DS nerf.
-
Just leave this game in dumpster. With these devs, this game will never be balanced.
Their objective should he buffing solos to SWF level, and buff killers. This requires a lot of work, and these devs definitely won’t do this, i assure you.
-
I’m all for buffing solos to SWF level.
However, they need to buff all killers in the process, and you know how much work that needs, and you know how lazy these devs are..
So I wouldn’t put my hope in this. SWF will always dominate, and solos and killers will suffer. That’s why I don’t play anymore.
-
Bad manners most of the time. They want to flex how “good” they are in this game by bullying weak killers via broken matchmaking.
Often these survivors are the one who DC on first down.

Why shouldn't killers Cheer "just run ds" when previously it was exceptionally rare to get a game without it?
Survivors can't abuse it and are crying for an auto obsession so they can take another abusable perk while also having the "threat" of DS. This is stupid and entitled.
If you are being tunnelled (real tunnelling) then start to run the perk again. If it was still at its previous popularity then there would be no issues.
That’s literally my point. DS is no longer god mode, and now survivors are switching to other broken perks, but still doesn’t want killers to tunnel, essentially asking DS basekit.

@Wafflecat said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241434/for-those-who-asked-for-obsession-every-game
1 DS out of my 4 perk slots? I solo queue, why do I HAVE to run a specific perk to make sure the killer doesn't tunnel me? Why doesn't the killer just want to play the game fair? I don't run at the killer off hook, I don't stick around under hook.
Also, it doesn't work. Killers have become more aggressive with their tunneling since the nerf. I ran it last night and stabbed quite a few killers, know what they did? Still tunneled me out. I had a Freddy come back right as I was being unhooked (there was only one other surv in the game because he tunneled the other two). The other survivor was injured, I had BT. He tunnel me through BT, then he tunneled me again. He stood above me and swung at the wall repeatedly, waiting for DS to run out. He then picked me up with .000001 seconds left on it, I stabbed him, he tunneled me again. This is red rank by the way.
It doesn't work. Killers don't care. So the arguement of 'Run DS 5head" is pretty worthless.
This game is not designed to play “fair” for killers.
Often when you play “fairly”, you’re rewarded with losing the game and sometimes trash talk.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Killers: Survivors are only using Second Chance Perks!

Yeah they nerfed DS so it won’t be abused now. So now it’s no longer free second chance perk. That’s why there is no reason not running it.

Honestly I think they were WAY more consistent before. I knew exactly what I would and wouldnt slide off. Now it's pretty much a gamble again, cuz ######### all those hours learning what he slides off of. BHVR just had to change the detection for his collision so it's different from before... not fix anything anyways AND make it worse in the process.
Agree. Now everything you see is not reliable.
-
Don't handicap yourself with playing "fair". This game is not designed for it at all.
Slug, tunnel, camp, whatever that makes you win the game. Don't even show mercy because if you do, survivors can come back really quickly.

Totally a wasted perk slot. There are at least 10-15 perks better than DS now
Then don’t bring it. It’s your choice.
But don’t cry when you get tunnel.
-
IMO it’s becoming the old legion... but little bit better.
Long distance shot still means nothing. This alone makes him low skill cap.
At low wall loops he has little counterplay. Spam the knife and survivors are downed.
At high wall he can’t use his power and has to rely on 110% m1 (TL, jungle gym, etc.)
At this point he still doesn’t excel in any area compared to other ranged killer. I still won’t play him after update.
-
It is the only objective the killer has.
He has no gens to defend. Defend gates are futile. Chasing survivors means nothing when they can just run straight line to escape.
So it's acceptable.
-
I only get DSed when i expected it, and wants it to happen. Never get DS for just snowballing since the update which is really nice.
-
Either that or the killer has give up LOL.
