  • It is good. Those 2 are best slowdown perks you can bring. Even if they don't work together, their value is worth it.

Only downside is ruin is not consistent. In some game ruin can be broke in 20 secs, meaning ruin has no value. So if you want something more consistent, you can change ruin to something else like surge.

  • New Killer? Meh, definitely not.

Wraith buff, blight FOV change and DS change? Oh yes can’t wait for it.

  • I can’t wait for DS nerf tomorrow.. today i’m matched with a lot of survivors that abuses DS and BT and flashlight clicks a lot..

Oh man tomorrow will be a great day.

  • Just play how you want. You’ll gradually get better eventually.

Sure there are lots of toxicity you need to face, and I can’t give any advice to this. If you can tolerate them, you play. If you can’t, leave the game, come back later or play something else.

But eventually you’ll reach a point where survivors dominate and you can’t do anything. Sadly this is the current state of the game. I’m just giving you a roadmap what’s gonna happen.

  • Nope.

He’s right now a low skill, low reward, not interesting in anything at all besides aesthetic. So I’m not gonna play him.

  • Killer.

Most, if not all, survivor content are so clingy, like bully killers to hell, t bag, loop for 5 gens, head on into ds... that kind of stuff..

I hate it with my guts.

  • All meta perks need a nerf, and I’m saying for both sides.

Perks should be a small bonus, not have a huge effect that can change the whole game. All meta perks are game-changing currently, so needs to be changed.

No, but with Hillbilly they snuck his own so I hope they do the same for Wraith.

I wish too. But probably won’t hear it for more than 5 secs because you’re always invisible lol

It feels like there's been a huge lack of communication from the devs over the past 6-12 months. Maybe it's just me, but they seem so distant from the community it's unbelievable. They're just kinda doing whatever they want it seems like

like how they updated HUD and survivor movement suddenly, and cause a huge uproar, and then just rolled it all back (survivor movement).

At this point their priority is release skin, release unfinished chapter, and profit. And I’m not surprised anymore

  • Unless they’re running and I’m very close with spirit, I can hear the panting sound.

if they are standing still or crouching, nope. I haven’t heard it even once in my entire playtime.

I don't think that was a hack. It seems like it's the speed Charlotte is able to move at when waking from her idle state. Maybe the player got stuck with that speed permanently.

The Twins were after all (and might still be) very buggy.

Could be. Maybe he can try to unbind victor again and switch back to solve the bug.

Nevertheless if it’s a bug, it’s a game breaking bug and needs to be fixed.

  • Finally the game is balanced /s

jokes aside I think you’re being hacked. I was hacked by survivor at that map with same killer. Can’t unbind victor, permanent blind, etc...

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

They sneak Wraith his own theme and chase music. What? Think I'm excited for the new killer. Nah nah nah.

wraith got his own chase music?

  • Unbreakable.

It is unfair. When killers are finally snowballing, one unbreakable basically resets it. And it doesn't even need to be earned. You bring it, then you can use it.

  • For killers, good skill means good strategy. Winning the chase is part of it, but not enough to win the game.

For survivor, it's all about the chase and how long you managed to keep the killer busy.

This is why I play hag.

I can choose to either play nicely.

Or trap every square inch within a survivor and stop them getting the save

I’m liking the twins more and more because of this. I can decide how the match plays out.

If it’s chill survivors, I’ll go for hooks. If it’s toxic swf, I’ll go for mass slug.

  • Remember, some people will still say those survivors are just want to have fun, not sweaty at all! They just use voice chat to chitchat, definitely not calling out the killer!

    I feel pity for you..

  • For me no one really.

But I enjoy blight the most.

We're on strike at the moment, because we're tired of our big boi getting disrespected.

Those who admit the weakness in himself is strong. If you never admit the weakness, you’ll never be strong.

People say clown is bad does not mean disrespect. They wish he can be better. Do you want to leave him be at current state, or do you want devs to buff him?

  • @poomanchu said:

Yes, but don’t you guys feel awful doing it?? Lol, I just tried this, and it was absolutely brutal... I felt horrible for the survivors.

You need to get at least decent survivors to get the adept. Baby survivors will often die too quickly and ruin your emblem.

So I’m not really feeling bad. And devs literally force killers to do this because of how stupid this adept is.

Agree. Last mmr test was ages ago. Who knows how long they’ll make another test or become live matchmaking.

Hello. I'm a new player who's only got about 20 hours in the game because I bought it last week. I know my opinion may not be as important because of this. I have grown to like DBD very much. However, this new SBM system is making my experience pretty miserable. Every game today has looked like this:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S5EEFKBEETMC/image.png

How am I supposed to be useful for my teammates if I don't have the slightest bit of game sense and the only teachable perk I have unlocked is quick and quiet? I don't have Laurie's perk to help me not die straight off the hook, I don't have Immortal to get myself off the ground so they have to stop what they're doing to come for me and I don't have gifted extension to save people safely because most high rank killers like to come back to the hook after saves. I actually feel like a burden.

I have been playing for over 4 hours and the situation is still the same. I have not met any other new players and have been getting trashtalked a lot by red ranks who rightfully assume I don't know what I'm doing. Isn't it supposed to adjust to my skill level after a while? I understand this is a 24 hour test but if this does get implemented then I think I'll have to stop playing because this has not given me any chance to learn. I just get killed after 20 seconds of chase, then saved off the hook to die shortly after. The game was really fun before today.

Actually, you don't really need meta perks to do well as survivor. I myself got to red rank as survivor without unlocking any teachable perks.

I know it's not fair for you to play with red ranks, and trashtalk is unacceptable, but i's only 24 hours like you said. After that it'll return to normal, and I doubt they will release SBM any time soon.

  • I'll camp and tunnel that user to death. Hey it's you who don't want a fair game at first place, so don't blame me.

It's half of the reason why i love bubba. Soo good at dealing with these people as well as toxic survivors.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

Everyone seems to ignore though that it requires no wasting time kicking generators, and if more than one survivor was chased off of a gen, the killer can maintain a chase with one survivor secure in the knowledge other survivors cannot just immediately jump back on the gen.

It also stops a killer stressing about a potential DS, because any Obsession switching is great for Dead Man’s Switch.

To be 100% clear, I’m not saying DMS is better than other slow down perks!!! I’m simply saying it’s viable with distinct advantages that other slow down perks don’t have. It can actually be an incredibly effective build to run DMS, Nemesis, and Furtive Chase. Sure that’s 3 perks to make DMS more effective at slow down, but many killers run that many perks for slow down or synergy anyway.

That's three perks for just a decent gen slowdown. Not even great, but decent. Pop alone can probably beat this combo, and even better if paired with tracking perk.

without video evidence no, the amount of reports is irrelevant, we won't ban people without actual proof.

What if the survivor escapes the match with 3 gens left and 4 survivors alive? Can it be tracked with in game report?

  • To be fair, some SWF burn those offerings with the intention of bullying the killer, and leave with 30k bp

  • It may be possible in future when killer has more time, but right now it's not possible. Killers won't have time to look for totems. Remember, you have 4 survivors to look hex totems, that means you have 4x the time the killer has to look for it. If previous ruin undying was that much of problem, then survivor totem will be hell

  • I can't main spirit because i don't have good headsets. I really like her, but all sound bugs and inability to hear breathing and footsteps with my headset just ruins it for me. I might as well go blind if i play as her now.

If I see one more person say "jUSt BAIt iT OuT" I'm gonna flip my lid.

Please tell me how to bait out a Dead Hard for distance. Please tell me, I'm dying to know.

Clearly they don't play enough to see this. Dead hard for distance is NOT COUNTERABLE with m1 killer. You can predict it, you can know when it'll be used, but you cannot counter it.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

Some Youtuber said that there are killers (specifically M1 killers with no mobility) that are at a huge disadvantage on large levels when survivors bolt as soon as they see the killer and it has now been interpreted as survivors are never allowed to run away because it's toxic and unfair to killers.

So it's The Internet doing what it always does; taking a decent point and stretching it to such an absurd level that it becomes ridiculous and then pretends like that was the original point

To be fair i realized the problem with holding w long before that video comes out. Probably a year or 2 ago.

It's funny those people who has more experience than me does not realize it sooner.

  • @Ivaldi said:

Lets be real here.. It took him 47 seconds to down a survivor while just doing a W chase. He would have wasted even more time against someone at the Killer shack or a T/L wall. Literally every killer with the exception of Trapper, Doctor & Bubba have a way to counter "W gamers".

    Wraith - Has high mobility

    Billy - Has high mobility

Myers - Has small TR and high mobility in Tier 3

    Hag - Traps

    Huntress - Ranged Attack

Freddy - Gen teleport to cut survivors off

    Pig - Sneak attack

    Clown - Slowdown Bottles

    Spirit - High mobility

    Legion - High Mobility

    Plague - Ranged attack

    Ghostface - Sneak attack

    Demo - Lunge attack

    Oni - High mobility

Deathslinger - Small TR & Ranged attack

    Blight - High mobility

    Twins - High mobility

    Ji-Woon - Ranged attack

Most of those "Counters" you listed are situational and some of them are simply not true.

Wraith - Yes good mobility, but need to hit bell again to attack. By this time you already got to a pallet.

Billy - Holding shift w doesnt necessary means running in straight line. Using some obstacles and his mobility is limited.

Myers - How does myers in T3 has increased mobility? Aside from faster vault and bigger lunge nothing has changed.

Hag - Requires setup. If survivors run in zone with no traps, you can't catch them. Most maps are large enough to have these areas.

Huntress - Depends on map, and requires good aim AND open area. Dead hard will save you 100 %

Freddy - Not every gens are in the way where survivors are running towards. And you cannot teleport to finished gens, so late game this option is limited

Pig - she has weakest stealth, moves slower than survivor. Once survivor is injured with stealth you're back to holding w chase

Clown - Slowdown bottle usually wont hit survivors at great range if they are smart. so you have your yellow bottle, but its speed boost is small, and you waste your one bottle and need to reload. People already stated his yellow bottle hurts his mobility more.

    Spirit - Okay

Legion - High mobility, but can't down survivors with it, and get a huge 4 secs stun out of power. Not sure how this helps.

Plague - Requires survivors to cleanse. No cleanse, no power.

Ghostface - Stealth down requires survivor to be oblivious, and depends on the area survivor is in. And it has a huge cooldown of 30 secs.

Demo - Zoning requires survivor to be open area AND in range. That range is not great, and he's slowed down when lunge is charged.

Oni - He literally is m1 killer from the start of the game. You need to injure survivor to even have power. If survivors just hold w in first chase with you, you wont have power.

Deathslinger - Range is 20 m only, and requires very precise aim AND open area.

    Blight - Okay

    Twins - Okay

Trickster - Not out. Can't commend

  • By right you should have no chance of escape since your team lose against the killer.

it is already a big favour for you to even have a chance to escape at that point. Not once, but twice. Hatch once, and gate once. Why do you think the killer should give you more chance to escape?

If the killer loses the game, and 4 survivors can escape, do killers get 2 more chance to kill one survivor? No. The killer is not given this opportunity, and with DS and BT it’s impossible to secure a kill in EGC.

  • I mean, survivor queue is usually longer than 4 mins....

    surely you can manage.

  • You’re probably tunnelled and camped because of bringing a key.

Be clever, don’t bring a key.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

Well yes, that's the idea of the perk. It's an anti-momentum and anti-tunnel perk, not a free minute of invulnerability.

People who used it because they get frequently tunnelled (genuinely tunnelled) aren't going to be affected by the nerf at all, because they're not going to be in a situation to heal/repair generators anyway.

They can still be healed though.. I’ll be very sad to get hit by DS after downing that survivor again from full health...

Bit of an exaggeration / lies.

    Unbreakable works once per trial

    Once for everyone is enough.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2024180#Comment_2024180

That's a pretty big assumption my guy.

DS was nerfed in the way it has been because it allows Survivors to fully heal another Survivor to full (16 seconds), run to a generator, fix it for a good thirty seconds and still have it active for when the Killer comes back. The Killer can be punished for picking them up at 59 seconds despite not having tunnelled them at all, which isn't good design. That's the issue with the Perk.

The ones you highlighted are avoided by the Killer just smacking them down. If the Survivor hops on a generator in your face right after getting off a hook, then it is 100% your fault for not downing them and instead letting them get that full minute of generator progress.

DS does not prevent you from going down. Ignoring them altogether because they can stab you when you pick them up is ridiculous.

If you chase or down them when they’re doing gen in your face, they’ll cry in postgame chat and in forum how killers “tunnelled” them and slug to avoid DS, and cry for killer nerf.

And if DS is used with UB it is invincibility.

  • @Blueberry said:

Yeah anything greater than 20+ seconds of chase is a survivor win.

Too many people think of a win as literally escaping the chase. That's how we end up with so many wild balance issues.

Agree. If more than 1 minute chase is basically god like. The damage has been done and the killer will most likely lose the game.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2023532#Comment_2023532

Except there have been plenty of streams showcasing how survivors go from healthy to down within seconds when the ricochet add on is equipped...

This is because of the bonus laceration for ricochet knives. They removed it already, so being basekit should be okay.

  • How to be disrespect though? It's not like they can see the end game chat.

And i believe most of the people here don't really mean disrespect towards console players, especially killers. Sure some people here complain how console player sucks, but those posts are just rants and meaningless.

Yikes, the fact that this is upvoted basically tells me what the community thinks towards suicide on hook.

    And it isn't good.

I don’t get it. For a single person to suicide, you’re ruining the experience of other 4 people in the match. I don’t know why this community accept this.

There should be a penalty like DC penalty for this. Suicide on hook is basically DC with extra steps.

  • Funny how DBD, a “party game”, can inflict this much of stress to a state of affecting mental health...

Good luck to you. Hope you can recover from it soon.

  • Favourite moment is have the chance to bully toxic survivors to hell.

But I wish I’m not matched with them in the first place..

  • I don’t play much survivors so I don’t really have great stories like these guys in comments..

From my experience I only faced one killer that are somehow toxic.

A huntress bring iri head and infantry belt with pre nerf mori. Killed everyone else but left me bleed out, and nodding her head the whole time. Honestly I don’t really feel offended because I just alt tab to watch YouTube shows..

Others are like nodding and hitting on hooks, which I’m fine with it. It’s usually after I looped them long enough, so I already considered a win. So again I’m not offended.

Never had a single killer that makes me mad. Most of the killers I faced are nice, and usually reply gg back even when losing hard. The same can’t be said to survivors though..

  • @JHondo said:

Even in that scenario there is nothing wrong with end game camping. Gens are done and I've got someone on hook I'm gonna defend that hook since there's literally nothing else for me to do. When I play Survivor if I'm caught in the end I will hold on as long as possible and plan my exit for the potential save but I understand that a killer will try to ensure I die in that case and I don't get salty about it.

I just have a survivor BM me for camping in EGC.

And the funny thing is the next game I’m also match with him. He suicided on first hook because I downed him too fast.

Oh, btw his name has a word “trolling” in it LOL

  • All their gameplay clips are like played in brown ranks. At that stage of game of course you’re gonna rate it 9/10

however, once you put more time in it, it changes drastically. Bugs, balance, matchmaking, etc.. it easily become 5/10 or even lower the more you play.

personally I believe this review is payed by BhVR to bait more new players.

Deathslinger in my opinion is the 7th or 8th strongest killer in the game just for his excellent chase, which is a very good position considering he's a 110 killer with no mobility and limited range to his weapon. Blight is the 2nd/3rd best killer because he has insane map pressure AND insane antiloop. If map pressure was more important Wraith wouldn't be among the weakest, as he has one of the best mobilities with double Windstorm (and he'll have even more after the buff). Nothing beats having fast chases imo.

Wraith is not among the weakest IMO, if you use double Windstorm. And after the buff he's quite good actually, probably among the best considered you can actually use his other add-ons.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

I mean killers can stack multiple gen regression/slow down perks. Seems only fair that survivors get one to not slow down progress when working with another survivor. Besides, multiple survivors working on one gen is kinda a good thing. I'd much rather 4 survivors on one gen than 4 survivors on 4 gens...

4 survivors spawn on one gen with prove thyself basically means the game starts at 4 gens instead of 5

  • True. I had a game where I got outplayed by survivors that just waiting at pallets on that map.

1 … 8 9 10 11 12 … 41
