On bloodlodge my totem spawns exactly besides the gen. I thought map rework was supposed to fix this?
-
Good. But sadly these devs won’t watch them.
-
Because survivors might have queued for a long period. So it’ll match any killer to these survivors first.
Thats why red rank survivors are matched against brown rank killer

I disagree. We need more killers with Exhaustion addons, not less. Exhaustion perks in their current state are essentially a free 3rd health state every 40 seconds...that is insane. Stack that with zero negative, zero cost, zero requirement, very little skill needed for them. There is literally no reason you wouldn't run an Exhaustion perk right now unless you simply did not care about winning and wanted to meme...that is bad design.
Most loops you would get the same if not more benefit just using a second slow down bottle. Not to mention extra risk for that gamble since the survivor could also get it.
Agree. I'm surprised nobody talks about this.
IMO exhaustion should have some sort of debuff. Maybe when you're exhausted your repair speed decreases 20 % and runs 5% slower.

You should know better than that. Obviously I run the typical slowdown meta like anyone else when I expect competent teams but since I played that particular match at night I knew I could run whatever I want and win anyway.
EDIT:
Here, this should be a relief for your eyes lol
He could have escaped if he just run and drop down, into the god pallet.

This is probably the killer lol

Why am i thinking about this?

Because this topic has already been covered ad nauseum on these forums and I've explained it on here literally dozens of times over the years.
To summarize lots of explanation:
You counter most killers by reacting to what they do. IE you are being re-active.
However.
Against Spirit you do the exact opposite. You have to be pro-active, not re-active. You have to force her to react to you, not you reacting to her.
IE if you are looking for feedback from Spirit to react to you are already playing against her incorrectly.
You need to understand what she is seeing and hearing, and then manipulate that to mislead her into guessing incorrectly.
That sums up perfectly. Apparently people can't adjust to this because against every other killer, they can get away by reacting, only not for spirit.
I think it's really cool for such killer to exist. At least when i'm playing as survivor, the game won't be so dull when everything i need to do is react against what your opponent does.
-
Even their logo is infested with glitches now, so you know how bad the next chapter is.
Just a joke :)
-
Why am i not surprised..
-
It's just a teaser about the bugs and glitches in next chapter..
I mean, it is now officially called "bug by daylight" or "glitch by daylight" as we see with the new logo
-
I do see increase in usage of DS and OoO recently. Probably they are enjoying them before getting nerfed.
I probably not gonna play until next chapter, where both of them get nerfed. It is like the old instaheal nerf all over again.
-
Slinger, Doctor and Legion are all quite fun. But in terms of strength, Oni is best.

It does not help with bad teammates. They will leave you on hook, kindred or not. The only thing it does is makes me feel even worse...
-
Claudette, hands down on both sides.
As survivor, they usually crouching around and do nothing or just self caring at corner.
As killer, simple. Can’t find them unless I’m doctor. I hate it.

@Shirokinukatsukami said:
Why is hidden killer spying on survivors before the game still allowed?
You want to remove survivor switching show us the killer in the lobby.
You are checking profiles when you play DBD. I mean what the hell man. Some killers are just absolutely neurotic.
Being able to see what survivors bring is part of the game. It allows killer to prepare for the match. It has been designed this way since the beginning.
I think few months back, as survivor, you can see what killers you’re facing in lobby by reading the log files. What happened back then is really bad. Every survivors brought the best counter to the killer. Iron will with spirit, calm spirit with doctor, spine chill with ghost face, etc. Some of them even dodged killers they don’t like. It made killer game absolutely horrendous.
-
I can give you a simple and useful trick.
When you down someone, always assume there are others around ready for the save, especially at pallet or when you see flashlights.
Bait them out by standing still on the downed survivor, most of the time they will come out. It works most of the time.
-
By your logic a killer can tunnel 4 survivors at the same time. Seem legit.
-
Are you playing as killer or survivor? I suggest you to play as killer. Solo queues are bad examples, even though you might be a good survivor.
And DS and OoO change should happen ages ago. It’s unbelievable how they survived this long.
-
Getting farmed without BT.
Loop killer around the hook.
Don’t do totems.
-
2 days ago I think. Now I just login to use the code for cosmetics.
For me, cosmetics are hard to come by because I don’t spend a single cent on them.

They want fix it in next patch, that doesnt mean it will be fix. This "Devs" have no idea what they do sometimes.
I agree devs like to make some questionable decisions. But this desync is quite a huge problem, and it affects all players.
So I think It’ll probably be fixed quite soon. I certainly hope so. They did say their top priority now is this issue
-
IMO It is so good that it’s on the edge of OP, but people seem to underrate it. It provides so many informations to the users.
You know what killer you’re facing.
You know where the killer is heading.
You can make safe rescue every single time.
You know when your teammates are looping the killer.
You know what your teammates are doing, so you can make the best choice for the team.
You know which gens your teammates are doing.
Of course SWF gets it for free, but for solos, it is the best perk out there, but sadly it’s overshadowed by second chance meta..

hits from another dimension also are not fair and balanced.
I know. It’s getting fixed in next patch. No reason to complain about it when it’s getting changed, just like complaining DS now.
-
Press “E” to outplay is not fair and not balanced.
-
First few killer games are very easy, as new survivors dont even know how to play. With your knowledge as rank 3 survivor, it's stomp.
However, when you ranks up to green or purple, that's when killer starts to be hard.
I suggest you play until red rank to see how the game looks like from killer perspective.

thing is Hawkins is way more balanced since it adds some vertical gameplay and some cool ish mindgames. There are many pallets, but seems more managable (In my opinion)
Hawkins has 2 best gens for survivors. That really balances the map as you basically only need to do 3 gens on that map.
So yeah, i agree hawkins is balanced.
-
I prefer the community one, the adept icon with their health status.
Simple, and yet effective.

Agree on the perks too, it's why you basically have to run some form of gen defense such as Ruin, Corrupt, Pop, if you want any chance against these teams. No room for fun builds, unless you're OK with losing.
It's a real shame as I'd love to play some slower, relaxed, drawn out games, not tunnel people, hook everyone evenly right up to 12 hooks, but it's not an option as decent survivors will tunnel the gens. Also I feel really bad when I do close a game out in a couple of minutes, and then see that not a single survivor was running DS/UB/Adrenaline, perhaps they were running fun/silly builds, or perhaps it was literally just baby survivors all running basic perks.
The problem is on both sides, the survivors also don't know if they're going to be against a great or aggressive Killer, so their only option is also to hit the gens straight away to give themselves some security. It's a viscous cycle.
I just wish the early game mechanics devs promised can arrive soon.
And no bugs please..
-
They prioritize on money. Anything related to money will get the top priority.
Example: Cosmetics. They never get delayed, and usually gets fixed first.

33 last I counted, but it could easily be bumped to 35 if you got unlucky
Oh my god.... i think hawkins is the only map that can be compared to this.
Maybe it's even more than hawkins..

@JPA said:
"Killers don't even feel out the match. They don't know how's its gona go. They just tunnel to death their first hook."
The problem with this is a Killer can't "feel out the match". One minute or less into the match, 2 gens can pop at any instant. If you leave that any longer, it could be 3 gens. The Killer doesn't know if they're playing a 4 man sweat squad until it is too late. Therefore, they have to come into each match assuming it is an efficient team, and play aggressively which usually consists of slugging, snowballing, or some form of tunnelling (depends if you consider going for someone you know is on death hook, when you've hooked 2-3 other people, as tunnelling).
If you don't play aggressively right away, it can already be too late if 3 key gens pop, leaving the last 4 gens spread across the map, very difficult to defend, and you may only have 2 or 3 hooks.
The damage is already done if you are playing a casual team and you immediately snowball and have one person hooked and 2 people downed, as someone may give up at this point and suicide on hook thinking "what a sweaty killer", but it's necessary.
Coukdn't agree more. When i play killer, i will go all out against anyone, especially when i suspect there is SWF. I can only relax down when i killed somebody with 3 to 5 gens left, otherwise they can make a comeback really quick.
The same goes for my perk build. I won't know who i'm versing, so i will give at least 2 slots to good perks.
It's not like i have a choice. First 2 minutes in the game usually decides how the game ends. It's the fact.

Although it is not 16 Gb for me, I hate that this error occurs way too often even without any update or patch. You can play three games or more and then, all of a sudden, games gives you this crap. I thought that it was due to me using custom perk icons, but I guess not. So annoying to verify the files, it still takes time when what I want to do is just play the damn game!
I don’t even open my local file of change anything in there. I don’t get why I’m getting these errors.
Something is definitely wrong in the patch. The verification says they can’t recognise some of the files, for no reason.
-
@InsaneCoaster said:
Verifying your game files shouldn't take that long unless you have a really slow internet connection or computer.
The problem isn’t verifying. The problem is after verifying, the game fails to verify some of them, and ask you to redownload them again

I mean, I also criticized them for the Halloween-"Event" in 2020, because it was even worse than 2019 and I always thought, it cannot be worse than that.
But yes, I have hope that the next Halloween-Event will be better and it would be just fair to see what they are doing.
“It cannot be worse than before”
This is literally what I thought for each chapter.. but oh well they managed to prove me wrong every single time
LOL

IMO the yellow gas now is mediocre risk, low reward mechanics compared to his purple one, which is low risk, medium to high reward.
Of course people are gonna stick with purple bottle.
They need to either increase speed boost, decrease activation time, split counter for both bottle, etc. Either one can be applied to make it more useful, so you can see them more often.
-
I definitely see more survivors body blocking for someone who’s dead on hook.
However, they are still not coordinated, and end up giving me a free hit, making the situation even worse.
-
I don’t own Kate and Jane..
-
Do you think breakable walls benefit killers?
-
It is boring. Importing free cosmetics from mobile and asks us to grind to hell is ridiculous.

My little screenshot our beautiful Not_Queen would love to disagree with you there
I assume it's just damage control. Her previous statement really fires up the community.
-
So she simply implies that they are not gonna revert HUD change, is it?
Looks like we're gonna coup with this rubbish HUD for another 3 months or more...
-
It's a bad idea. Survivors will definitely ban every top tier killers. So for people that mains those killers, they will never get a match.
-
Those words are just pretty words that aims at cooling down the community.
I sincerely doubt they're gonna come out with solutions in near future. After all they did say those changes are not going back.

@Kebek said:
But but, how will you get your feeling of accomplishment after getting 8 hooks and 4 survivors escape.
Or even better, 1/12 in your progress with survivors already done 3/5 of their progress in first 2 minutes. Very encouraging indeed.
-
My last few match I almost never get a good use out of yellow bottle.
Pink bottle does what yellow bottle does, and better. Instant activation, better antiloops, doesn’t benefit survivors, etc.
I’ll be very surprise if anyone comes out with a good way to use those bottles.

But if they did it the way they did it for Survivors then that would encourage tunneling. Even though they themselves said it was a legit strategy
That sounds nonsense for me. If killer wants to tunnel, he will remember who he hooked anyway. There is no reason to hide that information from killer.
These devs..
