  • Because they feel they’re entitled to free escapes.

Oh you want to prepare so you can have a the slightest chance to counter my most op item in this game? Sorry you’re not allowed.

  • did everyone missed the other items survivors brought? I mean, 2 brand new parts, paired with a key.

This obviously means they’re SWF. They were going to gen rush and use the key to escape as fast as possible. I would say they deserve it.

Btw, key is broken. Pls nerf

  • There is another one downside to this perk. Survivors need to stop repairing that particular gen to get the effect. So, if survivors are on different gens, you can only pressure one. So the others will not be affected by this perk. If you focus on getting everyone off gen, you're losing the time you gain from the perk.

Also, it gives a huge notification to everyone that this perk is activated. So survivors will never get caught off guard. Also, survivors know who's the obsession, so they will know when this perk is going to pop. If they want to unhook, they will leave the gen before the effect kicks in, so it won't block the gen for next coming survivor.

And it has limited usage and needs other perks to change obsession like your build. On its own it has only 3 uses if you don't take any DS intentionally.

To be fair dedicate your whole perk build just to make a simple perk works shows that particular perk is underpowered.

  • Great. Just another thing to keep me away from playing this game.

I’m gonna stop caring about what’s gonna happen in this game. I wouldn’t expect much from these devs. I suspect it’ll be bad like hud change and infested with lots of bugs that’ll never be fixed.

    Hi again guys,

I just want to say thanks for all the feedback and comments on my post that I made while being very frustrated. I can see that it's not just Killers fault and of course I didn't mean to categorize all Killers because of this.

After reading the comments and reflecting this I can see that my teammates where the biggest part of the problem.

I meet a lot of nice people in this game, and on this forum and I am thankful for that.

I just wish that the few people would not ruin the game experience, both Survivors and Killers.

Wish you all a good time :)

I wish everyone that blames the killer for tunnelling can actually realise most of the time it’s their teammates’ fault rather than the killer, just like you

I mostly play as killer, so when I play as survivor I can see that most of the time it is my teammates’ fault.

Hope you have a great day playing this game.

  • SWF is not common, but not rare either. I can say half of my matches are against SWF (I can easily tell with their loadouts, like same cosmetics, 4 flashlights, same perks for all survivors, etc.)

With that many experience with SWF group as killer, it easily shows how SWF breaks the game. There is no chill match with SWF, I need to sweat as hard as I can to even have the chance.

also another thing, you main some of the best killers in the game. I don’t. I play any killer I like at the moment, including clown and legion (my main btw). So maybe you can still 3-4 kill with these SWF, but I certainly can’t.

  • You won’t be stomping noobs.

if you play as survivors, your teammates will drag you down, so you can’t really stomp the killer.

if you play as killer, matchmaking will pair you against red ranks no matter what ranks you are.

if you somewhat feel you’re stomping, finish the game as fast as you can. Short pain is better than long pain.

  • It’s true. I used to play as killer for 2-3 hours everyday before my break. Right now, I can’t bear to play a single match in 2-3 days.

Until devs address problems with the game overall, I think I’m gonna stay like this, and maybe even drop the game entirely.

Sorry survivors, your queues are getting longer.

  • I bought all licensed dlc except demo with discount. So... Around 30 dollars?

Never spent any money on overpriced worthless cosmetics.

From my personal experience along with a handful of killer mains I watch. There was. Maybe its just a PC thing. Maybe its just a NA thing. But it was the case before.

Maybe. I’m on PC in SEA region, and that’s my experience.

  • @Mr_K said:

These dry spells occur for both sides. The pendulum is just currently on the survivor side. A year ago, killer queues were the ones taking forever.

I never had a killer queue for more than 3 mins in past 2 and half years

As survivor, 5 - 10 mins are very common

  • Dead hard for distance is predictable, but not counterable. Mind changed.

  • Yay... yet another sound bug.. why I’m not surprising...

  • Change claudette too while we’re at it. Change it to pitch black or a bush or something

  • @Volcz said:

How were they bullying you? By emoting or? Teabagging during the game? I'm confused.

Running towards you while spamming flashlight, T bag after pallet stun, stay around you at just the right distance and spam flashlight when I down someone, etc

they know clown has no pressure in chase so they can afford to stay around me to taunt me. I know I’m rusty so obviously I can do better, but even winning doesn’t feel good in these scenarios.

  • @Theninjajesus said:

Welcome back! It's like you never left, am I right?

    If anything it’s getting worse.

  • You forgot a flaw. Totems have ######### spot and can be cleansed in first 30 secs. So the new undying will be gone in first 30 secs without doing anything for you.

Rip undying. It was not so reliable before, and now it is even more useless.

  • Same experience. Asia server in midnight is hell. In my experience 7/10 matches are SWF, usually toxic with OoO and all are red ranks.

I bet they have quite a win streak so that's why those groups can stay over midnight.

So my advice is play killer in morning or afternoon, so you'll get solos more. And when you're skilled enough, come back on midnight and beat the crap out of them.

That's what i do, but not always work though. Sometimes still get bullied just because wanting to play a low tier killer.

You're right. I am so sorry. The fact that he walked 15 feet from my hook and left someone on the ground so he could hook me a second time in 10 seconds is absolutely not tunneling.

you probably should blame your teammate instead of the killer in this case.

first, how can he injure everyone else when you’re slugged? I assume all survivors are around to get a pallet or flashlight save or some other reason so he can injure everyone else without you been rescued. This is your teammates to blame:

second, you are hooked, and I assume there are 2 survivors hiding around injured, waiting to rescue you. Your teammates should never attempt to unhook when injured.

No.1 survivor made a mistakes and get downed around the hook, and No.2 survivor makes a mistake at immediately unhook you when the killer just down No.1, possibly without BT. This is your teammates fault for being so altruistic. You should be lucky you have DS to give you second chance. I believe killer picked you up just to waste your DS so you don’t have it in end game. We all know how bs it is in end game.

third, if you play solo, you just made a mistake of not bringing kindred. If this case happens even with kindred on, then more the reason you should blame your teammates.

When I play killer, I would be stupid to ignore the unhooking and proceed to hook the No.1 when it’s so close to me. What I would do will be the same as this killer, go back and potentially down both of you, and go back to hook No.1, possibly found the last survivor around, and end the game right there. if not, I will at least injure one of you for unhooking, and go back to No.1.

remember, deathslinger has poor mobility, so he needs to snowball as much as he can when all survivors are around him. It was the most logical choice from him.

  • Bring a mori next game.. or wait...

But seriously, if you feel that bad, you should take a break. Anger is not good for health. Play other games that are more relax like single player games.

  • The in game store never fails to charge you money when you buy something

She's getting another iri addon, I don't see how that's not a buff.

You mean another iri on par with nurse’s?

  • @xenofon13 said:

    Honestly 10k bps are nothing.

True. I can afk as killer in a game, and still get more than 10k points lol.

  • @Mooks said:

DS is designed to be an anti-momentum perk and it worked exactly like that in your match (based on your description, didn’t see the clip)

why should there be a perk that is ONLY meant for anti-tunneling?

Ask yourself. Is it fair for killers? Is it fair to take away what killers built without any requirement from survivor player? Why should there be an anti momentum perk in the game?

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

And can you believe killers want the perk nerfed?

@Bard Tell this poor soul how badly you want DS nerfed.

We don’t want it nerfed. We want it to be FAIR.

  • You cannot hook every survivors you downed with victor every time because it wastes too much time. You need make the most out of victor when you control him, otherwise it’s just too inefficient.

And people seems to find difficulties in differentiating between toxic behaviour and just gaining tactical advantage.

Toxic behaviour doesn’t give you any advantage other than being rude. Examples are T-bag, constant hitting survivors on hook, bleed out everyone, etc.

However, slugging tunnelling camping can sometimes win you the game. Survivors gen rush can win most of the game. These are not toxic. Sometimes it is the best choice depends on the match.

  • As long as there are people who still feed them with money for their cosmetics and broken game, they won't do it. Not in a million year.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I feel the same man, how is a millionaire company with 600+ employees incapable of fixing a bunch of bugs and add new ones in 3 weeks...

See this I don't understand. Killer is stupid easy yet I get the feeling their just aren't that many red rank killers, like why not?

Because killer is not stupidly easy, not as long as there are SWF bully squad.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

So they have to run another perk to make it useful, how is that stronger than ds?

You need flip flop and to be able to fully recover so it can become good for a free save, and to make flip flop shine you need a slugging killer and unbreakable.

    Nowhere near strong as DS.

DS + UB + Flip Flop + Power Struggle

Yay... you can never pick this survivor up when downed at pallet, especially when used in SWF.

If you pick them up immediately at pallet, boom, easiest pallet save or flashlight save by teammates. If you try to look around and chase them away, and then come back to pick him up, boom, he saved himself simply by pressing a button. If you leave them on the ground, yay unbreakable.

    You saying this is fine?

Edit: sorry i got carried away at typing this LOL. Didn't realise you're talking about power struggle being stronger than DS. However, if it is paired with flip flop, it nearly becomes the same level as DS + Unbreakable with absolute no counterplay imo. And this is unlimited usage.

Boring, how about a double perk slots weekend. Let the chaos flow

Nah, double or triple bp weekend will be more interesting :)

  • @ALostPuppy said:

Um, define "bullying", and if you have video examples I'd like to see, because a lot of people call SWF squads "bully squads" and all they're doing is something so benign like coordinating head on plays. Or they're just playing better than the killers and get called a bully squad despite the fact that all they're doing is being better at the game. And of all the big streamers I've watched Ive never seen them go out of their way to flame the killer in postgame chat etc. Even all the survivor mains.

Getting head on constantly and flashlight spam in the process is not the greatest feeling you can have. Yes you can still 4k anyway, but that doesn't show their intention is not trying to make fun of a killer. If the killer is new player, congratz, that killer just get the free ticket to be a masochist

As for op post, yes i did see youtubers or streamers that just want to be toxic against killers. They have the skill, probably, but what they did to show their skill makes me sickened. That's why i don't watch survivor main contents because most of them just want to be toxic to appeal to their audience.

  • Doing what you said in Ormond actually makes you win the game, because of how broken that map is lol.

  • It's because SWF is a huge problem in this game, balance wised. They got so many benefits with no downsides at all.

In your case, knowing someone is being chased is a huge intel already, because you can sit at the gen for that time, and not worry for killer coming for you.

And usually it's SWF groups that want to be toxic and abuse the perks like DS and BT. So obviously killers are complaining about SWF more often.

As for camping and tunnelling in solo, i actually love being camped and tunnelled... that is if my teammates do their job. Because i know that if killer decide to do this, they always lose the game even if i died in process. And i'm quite confident in wasting killer's time, so it's a job well done for me. However, it's usually my teammates that angers me like they let me 1 hooked despite killer is not around, and i brought kindred.

  • @UnknownlyKnown said:

Agreed. I rarely get bloodlust ever, as I just break pallets and use my power before bloodlust comes into effect. Which is what all killers should do. The true skill of killers should come out around now.

How do you use your power if you're myers in chase? How should i use my power as myers in chase so i'm skillful?

  • If they don't make those addons, they will feel like their product is not on par with their usual standard.

I hope you get the joke :)

  • Myers definitely sucks the most. He has nothing in loop besides faster vault speed and occasional T3 lunge. I will definitely not play myers if bloodlust is removed.

  • Against new survivors, i can even down them as nurse with no blinks. They don't even know how to loop, so bloodlust will not even kick in as they go down very fast.

So.. not really. Bloodlust hurts new killers more as matchmaking frequently matches new killers to good survivors, and without bloodlust, killers don't have the slightest chance against them.

  • Nah it's fine. If anything it needs buff because currently it's too weak to be honest. It's not worth a perk slot as it only activates during what.. last 1 minute of the game, and still can be disabled by survivors at any point of the match.

I wouldnt mind they rework the perk, but there are far more problematic perks that needs to be looked at immediately compared to this.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:

Then don’t rush the hook 0.00000000001 nanoseconds after I hook someone. I’m not letting you save them for free.

100 % agree. I have so many survivors called me camper tunneller when they tried to unhook when i am still around.

It's a shame when BT and DS can save their asses in these situations where they make a grave mistake of unhooking when killer is nearby.

  • No. DS is boring and unfair, and i haven't unlocked it yet. I would rather bring spine chill, small game, detective hunch, wglf.

    Did you read?!

i said I SPECTATED and WAITED after I DIED, so that I COULD SEE what the killers loadout was once the match was OVER.

And nothing in the killers load out could explain how they were magically always knowing the exact spot of other survivors after someone else was hooked. Behaving like they had BBQ, but they didn’t. They didn’t have any tracking/aura perks or add ons. The only weird commonality was that all of these suspicious killers were using Agitation. Which is highly strange.

Why are you sound so angry? I know you told me you stayed and watch until the match is over. What i meant is i can't really judge these killers because i didn't see the match myself. I am not saying you're lying, i'm just saying what i feel about this because personally i really haven't met a single hacker.

And about them all using agitation.. that sounds suspicious indeed. Maybe you could try to use agitation as killer to see if there's bug or something?

And btw, you can try to report these killers for hacking if you're in these situations again. If they are indeed hacking, they got banned. If they're not, then nothing is gonna happen to them.

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1729178#Comment_1729178

You see the killer's loadout at the end dead or alive once the match is finished. Have you played the game within the last 2 years?

Yes i know. But usually for me personally i won't speculate the game after i died because i'm solo que.

And if i really did, i always see some bad plays from my teammates like crouching in corner do nothing.. and it hurts.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1729178#Comment_1729178

No. Died. I spectated/waited to see what their load out was because of how suspicious and frustrated I was.

Then it's hard to judge whether they hack or not. For me i have never encountered hackers in my 600+ playtime.. so no offense, but it's hard to believe it personally.

  • If you get to see what killer brought in these matches, then am i right to assume you escaped in these game?

If so, i highly doubt they use hack because hackers usually won't lose no matter what because that's the point of using cheats.

  • Why don't you play nurse for a while?

To be honest nurse was the killer i mained before the nerf. And after that, she's literally unplayable. That cooldown is very annoying, and kills all the joy playing as her. Not to mention game-breaking bugs, and all the troubles you need to get through to be somehow decent at her.

  • I think making her have visual que in phase is good enough. No need to give directional que about where she is, because spirit still can't see survivors.

  • @Jeffalations said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1725142#Comment_1725142

A buff? NOED can change the course of the game from a survivor sided match to a killer sided match in the endgame. Definitely not necessary.

Only if survivors allow it to be activated. This perk has too many downsides to make it good. You're forced to play with 3 perks the entire game, and survivors have the ability to remove it from play at any point of the match.

When i use it, it gives me 1 down at best, and then all survivors will swarm to hook, use DS BT bodyblock combo to get out. So.. no, it really doesn't help you much as killer. I would rather use some other perks like whisper than use Noed

  • Give survivors visual cue is enough for getting rid of standing still mindgame. A directional sound kills the entire purpose of her power which is unpredictability
