Maybe the Paladins community is nicer but I’ve had more nice conversations in after game chat than rude conversations(I’m not mentioning dbd because console doesn’t have after game chat) most people probably won’t message you to have a nice chat, sadly.
I had to set my messages on PS4 to "friends-only" just because of DbD.
And when I watch PC streamers, the majority of their after-game chats consist of more or less severe insults.
I see a lot more on the contra than on the pro side when we are talking about keeping the after-game chat.
-
As you said, it can be a bit difficult for new players. But once you get used to the mechanics of the game, it will be a lot easier for you. The same applies to scratchmarks. Running is not being stealthy, therefore your scratchmarks are revealed.
Just keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it soon.
-
You could keep the pre-game chat so that survivors can discuss how they want to play. I rarely see something useful coming out of the after-game chat.

it's not a second objective. A secondary objective is something you can do but not required.
Yeah I know. That's the difference between a second and a secondary objective.
We don't need secondary objectives, we need a second objective.

@Eleghost said:
More secondary objectives would be fun but i'm not sure too many people would really care. I've seen people complaining about totems being "not worth their time" to do as they are a current secondary objective.
A 2nd objective would have to be obligatory, not voluntary.
-
While you can turn the chat off, of course, I feel like the chat is doing more harm than being useful.
-
People who have a disappointing real life often want to make themselves feel better by bullying others via the anonymity of the internet.
Ignore it. Turn off the after-game chat on pc/disable messages on console for those who aren't in your friendlist.
-
Yes you can. (For the screenshot contest, the devs even provided links for "how to screenshot on PS4" etc.)
-
DbD isn't e-sports, but I still try to not play bad and win.
-
I don't see a reason why you couldn't participate just for the fun. Obviously you couldn't get a prize in case you win, but since that is not the issue, go ahead.
-
There is a subforum for this. Here you go:

ew prestige your characters please
They can do whatever they want and that "ew" is completely unnecessary anyway.

@Nikkiwhat I was playing spirit on Mother's Dwelling and the person with DS was in a locker and I saw them go in a locker so I ate the DS cause there were still 3 gens left. And they complained that I tunneled.
I also had max stacks on STBFL. So I wanted my obsession dead. So I could keep the stacks.
I assume the survivors lost. They were just being salty.
-
You want to use Solidarity!
-
@Monika If you like your current perk build, just replace Ruin with Corrupt Intervention.
If you want to give it a try: Replace Sloppy with Infectious Fright. Slugging can buy you a lot of time. Infectious Fright is a great perk on pretty much every killer.
-
@Brawler Who said the shrine works totally RNG-based? 😎
-
Do you mean could it hurt BHVR financially? I don't see a reason why it should.
The license holder probably gets xx% of the sales (and perhaps a fixed amount at the start), so there wouldn't really be a risk for BHVR.
Or do you worry about other aspects?
-
Just prestige the character you like better.
Huntress is harder to learn, but once you are decent with her, she is more powerful than Pig.

The devs have realised the numbers, and the Game has the lowest survival rate, I believe only 50% of players escape when playing on the game
The Game is a safe pallet paradise. A nightmare for every loopable M1 killer. If survivors play bad on this map, it's simply their own fault and not because the map favours killers. It absolutely does not.
-
The problem is that almost all killers rely on their add-ons while survivors don't need items. For Billy + Huntress, removing all add-ons & items would make the game more balanced. For the rest, it would only help a bit or not at all. Depends on the killer.
Note: You also have to exclude items from chests.
-
The problem is that the chase music is too loud, for both roles. This should simply get fixed, nobody should be forced to use a perk slot for this.
-
Besides this completely removing the challenge, the battlepass (I'll continue to call it that) is supposed to be a way for BHVR to earn money. If you are a casual player and still want to get everything, you have to use your money.
-
Everytime before items or add-ons get nerfed, people try to use them up. It's a normal reaction.
-
No Mither & OoO was my go-to-build months ago when I didn't want to pip as fast (back then when high ranks meant super long queue times). You can definitely try it.

Trades arent a problem.
Going for stuns should be risky, pallets are already way too much of a easy safe zone for Survivors as they are.
Exactly. Don't be greedy for the stun. Drop the pallet without risking getting hit or if the killer is too close already, don't drop.
-
Trapper loses at lot of time in the beginning of the match with setting traps. So Corrupt Intervention can be a decent choice for him.
-
This is not a bug. Knowing the timing when to drop and when not is part of the survivor's skill.

If I'm playing as Survivor on the Mount. Ormond Resort, is the main lodge any good even if most of the pallets have been exhausted? Also, how many pallets usually spawn in the lodge?
Usually one pallet upstairs and one or two downstairs. The lodge is still good when the pallets are gone. Take a look at how the receptionist counters spawn and how you can combine them with windows. With BL, you have additional options.

I'm a scrub survivor, and that guy was a scrub even compared to me. Jesus H. Christ learn what Holding the Game Hostage entails.
BHVR should start doing what Overwatch does and ban false reporters after a while. Fairly certain this report would not have been his first, nor his last.
I don't want to know how many reports for tunneling + camping the community managers have to deal with...
-
In a very good group, everybody knows how to loop. So everybody should run Adrenaline, DH, DS and then 2 people BT + 2 people Unbreakable. 4 insta-heals.
But don't do that. Survivor is already the power role, you don't need that stuff.

Basically every map is survivor-sided. Azarov and Léry's can be an exception when the spawn is bad, but that's it.
If you have questions about a specific map, let me know.

just punish those dc while on dying state/being carry and those who manually click the ESC button, already sloved 80% of the problem
Then people would switch to pulling the plug/closing the application. There is no way around a general dc punishment.
-
Some survivors want to escape the low ranks because of bad random teammates.
Also people will probably want to use their insta-heals before the changes go live with the mid-chapter patch.
-
Why the need to blur the ranks?

Thanks, guys! I was just curious some ideas behind the occurence and this helps explain some alternative reasons.
I've had some Clowns and Huntresses do it and assumed it was for aim (I'm usually yellowish rank and on PS4, so practice seemed logical). Although a good "smack" because I was annoying makes sense too.
I don't mind when it happens because it's not like it affects the outcome or hurts anything -- I'm the last Survivor and I'm hooked and not going anywhere, so it's like the DBD equivalent of a Snickers, I thought maybe.
Thanks for the input!
If Huntresses + Clowns throw their hatchets/bottles at the hooked person, then yes, this can indeed be just some practicing.
-
Were the survivors and the killer working together from the start? Or was it a normal game and the killer simply decided to farm once only two survivors were alive?
Because if the latter was the case, I'm pretty sure this is not bannable.
-
If you can't see them, you can't see them.
When you see Blendettes in your lobby, you can play Doc. (Or Freddy, then they will get this shiny outline as soon as they are in the dreamworld.)
-
600 bloodpoints is literally nothing. Imagine a random teammate is dc'ing early at the beginning and therefore totally ruining the match - 600 bp is really nothing in this case.

Im not really interested personally, but I am suprised they haven't already done this.
Seems like a logical thing to have if they want to makes some money of Killer players.
When they first announced the cash shop, I though alternate mori animations would have been one of the first things they did sold in it, but here we are over a year later, and there isnt any.
Well, there are more people playing survivor, so it makes sense from a financial point of view to focus on these players.
-
No, this wouldn't work, too powerful. Built-in kindred for solo survivors on the other hand is something I could see working.
-
Also don't forget that at the beginning of a match it's usually a good idea for everyone to work on separate gens.
-
New mori animations? Sure, why not. Personally, I wouldn't pay money for this but there are probably a lot of players who would.

I have it already.
Should only need 42 more levels @_@
Nurse and Doctor are gonna be my worst grinds :(
Doctor at least is a bloodpoint machine.

Congratulations! (And I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get BBQ early when leveling Wraith.)
