I’m like the only one who likes going the Meat Plant as survivor. Those pallets upstairs next to the holes in the floor are great if you have Balanced Landing.
Meat Plant is a safe pallet paradise with nice potential for Balanced Landing. I don't know why a lot of survivors think this is a bad map for them.

Umm, when did they increase the amount of pallets in shelter woods? It has too little pallets still and its filled with dead zones that has nothing for survivors.
Some time ago, I don't remember exactly, I would have to look up several patch notes.
Shelter Woods now has enough pallets if you use them reasonably and don't waste time when somebody else is getting chased. Dead zones are a normal part of maps, you can't expect to be safe everywhere.

Spine Chill is really nice indeed. I use it sometimes.

Pretty sure the bleed out timer is only going down during the time they ARNT filling the mori bar, so you could have someone on the ground for AWHILE.
Exactly. The bleed out timer alone is 4 minutes.

shelter woods is pretty garbage for survivor
It used to be not-so-good for survivors when there were less pallets. But the amount got increased so the map is now totally fine for survs.
-
Coal Tower used to be close to balanced when it had fewer pallets.
Currently, I wouldn't call any map balanced.
-
I'm experiencing this sometimes, luckily not everytime.

The only thing I hear is, "I'm not doing gens."
Yup, it's like a clicky clicky person following you around. Be happy that they are not doing anything productive.
-
Depends on the situation. Two or more gens left to be done and the other guy played normal? I let go so they have a better chance at getting the hatch. Otherwise, I'll keep struggling.

I had to stop using P3 outfit on Huntress and Nurse, I used to have games where a survivor sees me and DC on the spot lol
Some people dc when they see Miss Piggy's party hat removal machines on the map. What can I do?
-
That absolutely depends on the amount of time the killer is mori-spamming you. 20 seconds is tolerable, but I feel 3 minutes isn't, for example.
If you feel like you get mori-spammed too long, you can report this. You need a video of the match, of course. The community managers will then decide if your case is severe enough for the killer to get a punishment.
-
It doesn't matter how you play, you will get constantly hate mail.
Either you can laugh about it or you deactivate the after-game chat.

DCing is not a survivor exclusive thing. Stop refreshing the sterotype.
DCs will never truely go away unless the issues that causep eopel to DC in the first place are fixed.
The issue that causes most people to dc is that they don't like losing. There is no fix to this.

This is why Keys should never be nerfed.
This is why cheaters should get banned, nothing more.
You can't justify unbalanced mechanics with the existence of cheaters.

Didn't they also say they "We do not want to rule out the possibility of having the update ready next week." Its very unclear what that means. Does it mean the update is ready and needs a certification or does it mean it will go live.
The patch isn't ready yet to be submitted to Sony/Microsoft.

The OP question was about getting found first - and he got his answer. Obviously playing like SWF isn't working well for him as he says after he dies everyone dies.
Maybe the right answer is just - play in SWF only.
I just don't think promoting this playstyle is a good idea because it's creating hard times for more solo players.

You can also compromise by working on then gen a bit then moving to another setting up a decoy for the killer. It's luck if they don't come across you while doing it, but they tend to waste a bit more time searching around an active gen for that first hook.
In solo you also don't know if you are going against a camper/tunneler or if you can even depend on the other survivors for...anything. So it is just wise not to be the first found and nothing gets you found first like rushing that gen right out of the gate.
If everybody on the survivors' side is playing like that, the players are setting themselves up for a hard match.
Just play your best, as if you were playing SWF. Either your team is good and it pays off, or move on to the next match.
-
DLC killers should be on Spirit's or at least Billy's power level. Since these killers are definitely not op and still have a hard time against good SWFs, this would be far from "pay to win".
It has been a year since a high-tier killer has gotten released. We need another one.
With the current state of the game, increased mobility is a key feature of a powerful killer. When you want to bring weak killers to a good level, there is no way around adding such a mechanic to their power.
-
A lot of solo survivors sadly play by the tactic "In the beginning of the match, hide until somebody else gets chased". If you get matched with these people and you are the only one working at a gen, it's normal that you get found first.
If your team is decent, getting found first isn't a problem. Somebody has to be the first in the end.
-
The game is in such a badly bugged state now. It's time to focus on game health.
I think I had to restart the game like 10 times yesterday. Unbelievable.

Oh ok, so that means the archives update will be a PTB on pc and then will later be released on all platforms?
No, the Archives update is an actual update on all platforms. It is currently delayed but perhaps getting released next week.
The next PTB will most likely be the PTB in about 5 weeks for the next DLC.

I mean, when it comes out, will it be a PTB or an update across all platforms?
It's an actual update on all platforms.
If the devs stick to their schedule, the next PTB will be released on PC in roughly 4-5 weeks. PTBs aren't getting released on consoles.

I know it isn't but wouldn't it be considered as grieving?
No. What about this do you consider griefing?

@Yamaoka said:
Don't expect anything to happen. I reported a similar group (I'm on XBOX too) that also (ab-)uses my main Leatherface to farm "outsiders" to death. They're still playing and still hunting down "outsiders" even though I reported them multiple times ONE YEAR AGO. At this point I'm so sick of how lousy bans are dealt with I don't even want to play anymore. Good thing there's other games out there worth playing at the moment.
Console bans haven't been technically possible one year ago, it only works since the beginning of this year.
If you encounter this group again, report them again. I would be surprised if the community managers would not ban griefers despite having the means to do so.
-
Which company would admit that their product needs huge improvement?
And as soon as they acknowledge something, the players will start asking "When is the fix ready?"
Also keep in mind that some necessary fixes would not be welcomed by big parts of the community. For example the insta-heal changes now are only a small nerf and yet the outcry was/is still pretty big.
-
@ASAPTurtle said:
Isn't this grieving which is also bannable?
No, camping is not against the rules, it's a strategy. It's not relevant how close to the hook the killer is camping and whether they are hitting the hooked surv or not.
-
Give more bonus bloodpoints. You always need bloodpoints, even if you maxed every single character.

@premiumRICE said:
Mending is usually inefficient at high ranks. Lost so many games cause people waste whole game mending.
git gud, loop well and nonody needs to get mended.
Should everybody just always stay in the killer's terror radius or how is this going to work?
-
DbD is in an unbalanced state. If somebody is rightfully complaining about an unbalanced game mechanic and gets told to just "git gud", that's nonsense.
On the other hand, there are also a lot of complaints that are not justified.
You have to look at these complaints case by case. Generally saying everybody should just "get better" is as wrong as agreeing with every demand for buffs + nerfs.
-
Do you have an idea what might be your problem? Several things come to mind:
not knowing which route to run; not looking properly (getting surprised/"mindgamed" by the killer); miscalculating the distance to the killer; not running the loops tight enough
Is it one of those maybe?
-
How about asking the devs to change the Emblem system so that a 4k becomes not necessary to pip?
Besides that, it's okay for a killer to want a 4k anyway. Blame the devs for coming up with this game mechanic that requires slugging, and not the player who has to deal with what is given to him.
-
It would make sense for the perk to allow that.
-
Depends on the situation. Sometimes it makes more sense to just eat the DS.

Yea they have a support site it should be pretty easy to find. As long as you have definitive proof you should be able to file a report.
With only a username on the screenshot and nothing more, when players change their usernames all the time?
Also if it's a screenshot of the after-game chat, there is always the possibility that the screenshot is photoshopped. (I'm not saying that the OP would do that. I'm just saying that there would be the possibility of people false-reporting other players.)
So I'm pretty sure the devs can't ban anybody in this case.

Definately not the ones I would deserve for all that I have done.
If you can't even tell us which Emblems you got, how are we supposed to have a discussion?
-
The important question is: Which Emblems did you get?

Nah, I'd just bring in Franklins
Franklin's doesn't help when the survivors can just pick up the toolboxes at a later point. Also usually you don't find everybody in the beginning, so the toolboxes can already be empty when you knock them out of the survivor's hands.
But I still like Franklin's because it helps a lot with avoiding insta-heals.
-
I don't have an anecdote to share, but I wonder how many nonsense reports the community managers have to deal with on a daily basis...
-
Usually bloodpoints and having as many survivors escaping as possible. (I don't care if I personally die as long as it makes sense from a tactical point of view.)

I forgot to mention Poised! :O
#PoisedPower
Totally underrated, best survivor perk.
-
You forgot Poised. It's the #1 must-have!
-
@NuclearBurrito Good point, agreed.
-
@NuclearBurrito Which role should have priority in your opinion?
-
@Aven_Fallen It feels like a different world when I'm playing on PC, yeah. Still, I don't want to leave (yet). I just tell myself I'm playing hard mode for now.
I haven't seen them play DbD for ages. Would probably be super weird to watch now.
-
Same for me, too. I saw them play DbD in 2016 and got the game when it got released for PS4 in 2017.
I have a better PC now, but as long as cross-save isn't a thing I'm staying on console most of the time.
-
I don't believe so. I think only killers which are available for shards will get their tome.
-
Most killers need their add-ons. If a player wants to run a fun perk build, good add-ons are necessary.
-
@JiggleWiggle Are you talking about HWSQ by any chance?

No, I saw them with BBQ in the boiler room of the preschool map waiting for the hatch. I stood in front of them waiting to close it but it never spawn but i heard it. So i hit him and chased him then downed him.
That doesn't sound like a long time span at all. I don't see a problem here.

The event did not get canceled, it got postponed.
