I keep seeing survivor mains spout "It rewards the user for bad game play" all the time, but that isn't the truth. The truth is it punishes survivors for bad game play. If the killer was bad, your team should have had no trouble cleansing dull totems. They're usually near gens and not overly difficult to spot. Survivor is mainly a team role with the option to be selfish and play solo. One player isn't meant to cleanse all the totems, everyone is. The devs have even implemented perks in order to promote totem cleansing- Detective's Hunch, Small Game and Inner Strength.
The perk is not god-awful, the majority of survivors are.
If the survivors were good, they would have no trouble taking turns looping the killer while their teammates work on generators. Strong perks in the game are a good thing, it breaks up the monotony of the matches. I rarely ever even see NOED in most of my games. Even when it does come up, it is cleansed within 30 seconds unless my team was bad.
I understand that counter-argument in the case of a swf, but what about solos? Are we all supposed to go around the whole map once or twice to make sure each totem has been cleansed?
Obviously NoeD is a rare perk anyways, but I just thought I'd give a counter arguement to your counter arguement.

I don't play Freddy but he isn't more OP than nurse, is he?
Thing is Nurse takes a whole lot of skill to play, Freddy takes very little.

I'm in between slight nerf and huge nerf. Don't make it too far that she becomes F tier, but make her power somewhat counterable if Stridor is in play.

I'm not saying it is not possible, just saying that most of the complaints people post here to nerf killers is most of the time to nerf them into the ground and make them useless so they have a easy game.
They barely even try and complain about a killer being OP.
Be honest, how many spirits do you face these days?
Barely any, if I face a spirit maybe 2 or 3 times in a week, than that's a lot
Although some people do want her nerfed into the ground, that's not what anyone who either isn't biased or has enough game knowledge would say. I just want proper counterplay atleast if they're using Stridor. If she couldn't hear during phase for example, I'd be completely fine with her.
I've played survivor alot today due to the shorter queues being constant rather than only being mid day, and I'd say she's the third most faced killer for me at the moment, behind Nurse and Freddy. Maybe fourth as there has been alot of Bubbas today for me.

She's been nerfed 3 times already if I'm not mistaken.
What you are asking is make her completely useless
Just because something has been nerfed doesn't mean it can't be nerfed, or even reworked, again.

I disagree spirit needs a nerf Iv had some rough games against good survivours with her even with over powerd Addons. No need to keep nerfing killer stuff all the time because survivours don't want to learn counter plays. I play both survivour and killer and don't think she needs a nerf just learn to get better
I've played 13 games with her before screwed up hitboxes. No add ons, and the perks I used were Surge, Pop, Stridor and BBQ. 12 of them were 3ks or 4ks with gens left. I had no previous experiences with her and she was that easy to play.
-
@Dingo88 said:
Plus this is why killers always get nerfed coz survivours don't want to learn the counter plays they just assume it needs a nerf. Every killer is beatable if you know what you doing.
There no need to nerf her
There is a huge need to nerf her, and while I'm optimistic with most killers, even ones like Nurse, Spirits counter is pray she makes a mistake. When the only counter to a killer is them making a mistake there's a problem.

Please don't nerf the Spirit.
Why?
@ugDUST said:
Don't need the spirit. If you want you can throw on fixated, iron will to counter her.
And what happens when they use Stridor like most do?
-
Alert: I tend to be aware of my surroundings and what's going on, even in a slight movement tends to catch my attention.
No Mither: I have major trust issues and I don't really let others help with my "injuries" but rather go on and do it myself.
We're gonna live forever: "Your few friends deserve the best protection." That's what I'd do if my friends were in danger. I probably couldn't do much but I'd try my hardest to protect them.
-
Nurse is extremely hard to learn, including precision, timing and prediction.
Spirit is fairly easy, and if you've got headphones and Stridor she takes very little learning to be good at.
-
I genuinely can't remember the last time that's happened to me.
-
Fix the hitboxes and I think we're in the most balanced state we have been in for a while. I personally find gen speeds fine on both sides.

Definitely fast now, which I can only presume is to do with the hitbox issues.

Well every 30 secounds to have lithe or balenced would be great and makes them viable :D
It would definitely see them used more, and I'd like that buff to both, however hopefully a BL buff post Haddonfield rework, otherwise 30 seconds on BL could feel a bit too oppressive.
Lithe 30 seconds I'm down for right now however and I'd like to see it used in a ptb.
-
Not only is this not true, but you're also making it out as if looking up to someone and wanting to try something they enjoyed is a bad thing.
-
The removal of exhaustion makes it pair a bit too well with other exhaustion perks imo, and a 5 second stun seems too long for a 3 second charge up that the killer often can't do anything about (such as if the killer is chasing an injured survivor and then suddenly someone else uses head on on them).
Personally I'd like its exhaustion to timer to be reduced, maybe 10 seconds each tier, nothing crazy because it does have its uses.
-
Yes, it does.

No they are not guaranteed spawns. I've played Midwich many times and sometimes there is not gen in the chemistry room or the music room. It's random.
But anyway as others have pointed out this is an easter egg for the first Silent Hill game. In it Harry has to find two emblems (one in the music room and one in the chemistry room) and bring them to the school courtyard to move forward in the game. If you look at the clock tower in the school yard where the two god pallets are you will see two empty plaques on the wall of the structure. If a gen spawns and is done in the music room or the chemisty room an emblem will appear on that plaque. If both gens spawn and are done as part of the 5 needed to escape then when the doors are opened the door to the clock tower will open and that chest will appear.
@Dpooly said:
@NoOneKnowsNova The only way to guarantee proper spawns is to use the 'Mary's Letter' offering. You will get the right gen spawns every time if one is burned. Makes me wonder if it's the same for finding the undiscovered easter egg on Oni's map, seems everyone forgot about it or gave up.
My bad then! I always assumed they were guaranteed spawns but I guess if two people have deconfirmed me then they're right.

@CakeDuty said:
It's a secret, been there ever since Silent Hill DLC. If you do the gen in music room and chemistry classroom (I think) the door to in there will open up and you get a chest. I think the item gotten will be of Ultra Rare quality.
It's rare to see cause it's rare to have both chemistry and music room gens spawn at the same time.
I thought they were guaranteed spawns? Ik the chemistry room is that's for sure.

Jeff Onesie cosmetic when?
-
Depends on the situation.
-
Personally that would be unfair, although I can understand why someone would say otherwise.
-
They never said they would, infact Mandy confirmed a few days ago that it wouldn't be out for this rank reset.
-
If I'm doing challenges like "Escape through the hatch one time" then I'll use it, otherwise it's too situational imo.

According to Scott (I think hes the dev) he has no plans for cross overs this year as he already has alot on his plate.

If you're ever going into a tight area, fake it first. Often they'll shoot instantly allowing you get some extra time.

Yeah... a "tactical" play. Totally not just being rewarded for standing in front of a hook.
The only time it isn't tactical is camping for no reason, and if that happens survivors can genrush. But if you know 2 or 3 survivors are coming for the save, then its tactical. If its egc and you want a kill, although maybe not tactical it's usually accepted among the community, and camping someone for the last 10 seconds on the hook is tactical.
-
Probably because camping (hovering around a hooked survivor) is often a tactical play, especially if you know survivors are around, its egc, or their timer is almost up and you want to confirm a kill.
-
Cya, and I hope to see you in the fog ^^

I saw someone say they are different from behind. Can anyone confirm this?
If they look the same from behind then my suggestion is to remove some fabric to expose Hillbilly's butt. Then they are definitely different and worthy of being a reward.
It's a bit blue at the back iirc, that's about it though. It might also be brighter but that could be the lighting in the rift pass.
-
Personally there are plenty of good cosmetics that are available with shards.
-
Joey and Jeff, how could you say no to them?
-
Since when was Leatherface OP? And dc penalties are fine. Otherwise I can agree with most of this post, with the frustration of new bugs and the gap between the strong and weak killers.

Yea I was rank 1 yesterday, and I'm now down to rank 4, so I don't think it's just visual.
Hmm, maybe it isn't visual then, I'll test it when I get on later.
-
The unbroken emblem is bugged where unless you escape it'll be black iirc. Additionally sometimes if you safety pip you'll still depip although I think this might be a visual bug as I'm still rank 1.

I don't understand why the devs won't implement multiple killers for custom games. Balancing wouldn't be a problem, it's with your friends.
I think it'd be fun for 2 Bubbas to team up on the best looper & see how long they'd last.
I just want to see 4 Ghostfaces tbagging a Nea or Claudette.
-
That's it, all you need to do is collect it. I don't think you see it if you haven't chosen it, and I'm unaware if one person can get multiple in a match.

Please no. Yesterday I had a survivor who was complaining about my Hex: Third Seal, because it is a ######### perk to go against and I shouldn't use it because it isn't funny.
His suggestion was a timer for 25 seconds or anything like that.
Yeah, that's sounds right.
Right?
Ah yes, 25 seconds on an already weak effect for a Hex Totem. What an amazing idea!
-
It's slightly different at the back.
-
I like the walking while injured animation, but the running while injured just looks like they have a cramp from running too much.

It should just actually blind the survivor. Problem solved.
The Killer can now bring flashlights with the odd bulb add on to blind the survivors permanently.

Long story short there's a golden toolbox hidden on every map. So far we've found all of them except for 2. We know the location of Dead Dawg Saloon, but we don't know how to get to it and we're still stumped on Midwich.
We're not necessarily supposed to get to the golden toolbox on Dead Dawg, take Family Residence for example. The toolbox is hidden under the house. We see it, but iirc there is no way to get to it.

Lemme know when you've uploaded the video, I'd like to watch it ^^

Oh in that case I guess? But it’s still really low effort alongside 90% of the pass
Still low effort but atleast I don't have to pay for it ig

They are literally the default pants
What gives devs?
Literally putting default cosmetics in the rift
It's slightly different after checking, it seems a bit brighter, but one noticable change (albeit minor) is at the back its blue towards the top.
