Although I want the token mechanic, I think it should work similar to Devour Hope, so at a certain amount of tokens the effect would be permanent up until survivors cleaned the Hex.
-
Although Dead Hard is the best, Head On is by far the most fun to use imo.
-
I'm actually extremely glad that the people who said no were still very constructive rather than destructive and ranting with their answers.
-
Clearly the devs listen to this guy.
We need to protect him.
-
I used Diversion last week and I use Mindbreaker on PH. I do remember last when I used them :p
Now if I'm going to stay on topic, I agree with the 3rd point, although the devs don't have plans on that as far as I'm aware.
-
For the most part, I'm a fan of it! However, I do think that it could use a small buff that occurs if you're not the obsession other than "Whenever your aura is revealed to the killer, the killer's aura becomes revealed to you." I'd like it if maybe every 80 seconds or so when you're not the obsession you see the killer and they see you for 3 seconds. Otherwise I'm satisfied with this change, and I hope the devs do more of these in future ^^
-
On topic though, this looks great! How long did it take you to create it (if you did create it).
-
Looks like console Dead by Daylight to me...
-
I'm having a ton of fun at the moment, although Dead by Daylight isn't the only game I play so that might be why I haven't got bored of it.
-
I've never really used either perk as I've never felt the need, although both perks for the most part seem positive and I'm excited to see them play out in game.
-
Iirc, Deliverance trumps Second Wind meaning that Second Wind wastes its effect, although I might be wrong on that.

To add onto these already four good reasons, you can run in one direction and 4 seconds later run in the other.

@NoOneKnowsNova balancing is really hard with perks like this :/
Much harder than most would think that's for sure.

@Slashstreetboy Exactly. The Trapper but also the Hag benefit from it, but so do all the other killers such as Leatherface, Hillbilly and Huntress.
@NoOneKnowsNova Nah, I think ~30 seconds is strong enough, I mean, you can show the Aura of killers for 3 seconds, that's enough in my opinion!
Fair, I can understand the logic behind a 30 second cooldown, and it could be a bit too oppressive if it was anything shorter.
-
Personally I'd like to see it have a shorter timer (20 seconds maybe?) however it only works outside the chase, as the current description makes it seem that unlike old object, this can occur inside the TR.
Despite my proposed change, I'm extremely happy with their proposed change and I hope we get more info on it soon.

totally not... what is the time increase for?
I think if it wants to be a true anti tunnel perk it needs a bit of a time increase. Maybe only 20 or 30 seconds to counter slugging.
-
The fact you make sure to say that you're not a survivor main three times in your post (including the title) makes me think you are infact a survivor main.
Regardless, I think the nerf was slightly overkill, I think it should've got a small time increase as compensation, or maybe the healing part removed. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the changes.
-
Thanks for this dude ^^
Also no clue what Eichhörnchen means but there it is.
-
One word: Doctors
-
I believe it'll be released on the 11 of February although don't take my word for it.
-
I'm fine with swf. Most of them aren't bully squads, and regardless of the killer I play I do have the potential to beat them as long as they're not gen rushing as fast as they can.
-
I've had this occur twice to me. Once I was survivor, in which after the killer downed me and dropped a pallet I was teleported to a random place in Midwich, and once I was killer and after I dropped a survivor at the exit gate I was teleported and got stuck in the wall. No idea why it happened.

You're right to avoid Reddit, I agree it's rather toxic. But I appreciate how civilized you are about this, props.
Honestly, with how split people are in this community anyway, it seems pointless to compare which side is larger. It would be nice if people would adopt the mindset of "If it happens, it happens" and just hope that the license they like will get added instead of going out of their way to disagree with others.
Regardless, cheers mate.
I also appreciate how you're remaining civilised about it rather than attacking my opinion (as I'll be honest most of these threads turn out that way).
The "If it happens, it happens mindset" is one we should all adopt. Besides, the killer itself doesn't matter near as much as the killers power, and I think thats what everyone should focus on. I was never a fan of Silent Hill or Pyramid Head being added, yet he's one of my favourite killers in the game to play, so if a fnaf chapter would be released I'd hope I'd have the same reaction with that.
-
As someone who loves the healing perks, I tend to run WGLF, Empathy and Solidarity along with Autodidact. If you’re not a fan of Solidarity then We’ll make it tends to be a good choice (although can counter autodidact as you have less time to get skill checks).
Borrowed time is a great substitute if you don’t have Jane Romero or you just don’t like the perk which I wouldn’t blame you for.

On the flipside, there are reddit posts on the dbd sub where the majority of people share the opposite opinion.
I respect that many people may not like the idea of fnaf in dbd, but just saying "no" isn't the way to go.
That’s actually good to know, I don’t tend to look at dbd on reddit as it seems a tad bit to toxic for me. I respect people who do want it, especially people who don’t push it too hard.
Also after doing a bit more research https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/138393/would-you-be-fine-with-springtrap-in-dbd/p1 seems like maybe more people do want it.

What...?
-
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/91866/should-there-be-a-five-nights-at-freddys-killer A fairly old poll, however I believe it still stands for the most part, and for more recent info,
When someone says No and nothing else and that much people agree compared to no one agreeing, I think it shows that majority wouldn’t like it in the game. Even in this post, the two most upvoted comments are about how someone wouldn’t like Fnaf in the game.
Although the perks sound ok, I’d much rather anything but fnaf, and the closest I’d take to fnaf would be an original animatronic killer.
-
It would be abused (and this goes for both sides if both had it).
Killer or survivor was better than you? Blocked
Killer played as someone you didn't like facing? Blocked
Survivor used a certain item? Blocked
Killer or survivor used a certain perk you dislike? Blocked
-
I believe it does the second option, making it so they can't message or join you, although I could be wrong and if someone says otherwise I'd take their word for it.
I know for a fact however that it definitely is not the first one.

However where its celebrated (I believe its in Japan) it was the 3rd of Febuary.

I feel like that applies to every killer. If the killer is good you can't do anything can you? for exaple a good deathslinger or bubba will end chases quick aswell.
In those cases however there are atleast some counterplay. For Bubba its windows and with Slinger its faking sharp turns. The counter to a Stridor Spirit? Hope she misses. If that's ever the counter to a killer that doesn't take too long to learn, you know there's a problem.
-
She is one of the easiest killers to play and one of the best too. Her chase power for the most part is a guessing game, and while this would be fine if it was in neither of the sides favour, it is heavily in the side of the killer, meaning that chases end quickly. Her counterplay is to play stealthy and most people don’t enjoy that kind of playstyle, and even then, if the killer is running stridor, that stealthy style is for the most part, ineffective.
-
From what I know, all the killers are strengthened by the entity, making it literally impossible for them to die.
-
Slight condition change that I'd like, if the killer is in a chase it doesn't apply.
Otherwise this is actually a good idea. It punishes the killer due to playing like such, and the survivor gets to keep their rank, while also understanding that later in the game (especially during egc) the killer sometimes needs to camp to get a kill.

Yeah, same here. I don't really get the point of doing a code if it's down in less than a day of being announced
@Zeus said:
Wow they put out the code 15 minutes after I shut my PC down and then get expired before I wake up. Why not make it 24 hours?
This is because the day that this code refers to is only celebrated on the 2nd of February, hence it's short time frame.
-
Do some killers cause it to be the reason its ran so much? Absolutely yes. Some simply tunnel till their hearts content.
The problem is, some killers don't tunnel. Some play normally and are still hit with DS.
Regarding your second paragraph, I always thought it would be a good idea to keep it at 60 seconds, when performing actions it goes down at double speed and when either slugged or in a chase it goes down at half the speed.
-
Although I think triple your usual bp is a bit much, I'd be up for a bp reward for playing the side with less players.
-
Unless it's a very rare occasion, I usually play solo. I have trust issues, so I usually feel like I'm not wanted, hence I stick to playing solo survivor or killer.

Why say it needs a nerf if you run it, what a strange thing too do. Shhhhhhhhh there are OP perks in the game, I for one do not think spine chill is that OP but that's my opinion. They wont touch DS but knowing the devs they'll nerf the hell out of spine chill 😑
Well I'm naturally going to run the perks I find the strongest that fit my playstyle. I also use Ruindying on Ghostface (although I've only had 2 matches with him) yet I also acknowledge that was overpowered.
-
Can confirm this works! Thanks for posting it ^^
-
This is actually a really good idea, and I'm excited to see what you make of this thread and to see what gets majority ^^
I think a European Beast-man from the Victorian era sounds like an interesting concept for a killer.
I think a sympathetic story would fit this killer.
I'm not exactly sure how it would go, but Darkness sounds like a neat idea for an element for a power.
As for what the power is like, a killer that has both chase power and mobility of some sort sounds good.
Finally for perks, it should be varied with a hex perk, a chase perk and a slowdown perk.
I wonder what everyone else will choose, it'll be interesting to see.
-
Personally it needs a nerf of some sort. To me it's the most consistently great perk in the game. It's the only perk that has always been in my build due to this consistency.
-
I rarely experience either at red ranks, yet you're experiencing it 3 times in a row?
You're having a very unlucky day my guy.
-
I still don't get why some people suicide on hook, unless you were camping, then I can atleast somewhat understand.
-
Oni I really enjoy facing. His power feels unique in the chase and usually the better player will come out on top. I struggle playing him however as his turning feels clunky when turning on console, and you're much easier faked than a PC player would be. I see Onis often which I'm glad about.
Slinger is not that fun to face. His power is unpredictable and takes a great reaction time to avoid his power, or constantly shaking which if the killer doesn't shoot then you've lost so much distance. Playing him is enjoyable, and he feels like an easier, but weaker Huntress. They're a bit rare to face, and even when I do they're quick games due to him being easily gen rushed.
Pyramid Head really depends on the player. If they tunnel and focus you with their cages then its extremely boring and the game is usually a quick one. If they play fair and use their punishment of the damned well, it's an enjoyable one. I also find Pyramid Head extremely fun to play as, his power feels extremely unique and although its bit clunky on console it's fun and still strong. I don't see PHs to often which I'm glad about due to more of then playing a toxic playstyle.
Blight games are always fun ones in the chase, although the perks are almost always the same. BBQ, Ruindying and Tinkerer. The games are usually long with the better player(s) winning. His chase power on some loops is one of the best in the game. Unfortunately he is practically unplayable on console. Not only is turning extremely odd and feels wierd to use, but he feels too short, a complaint many have for this killer. This is probably why he has such a low pick rate which dissapoints me due to him being extremely fun to face.
Finally Twins. I hate facing them and I haven't even bought them. Their play styles revolves around camping, using Victor after hooking a survivor and then when the survivor is unhooked going back to Charlotte and slugging the unhooked survivor because BT wouldn't kick in. I haven't bought this chapter myself and I don't have plans to soon. I'm glad seeing this killer is extremely rare as I hate facing the duo which I felt had so much potential.

DS is very problematic and has been since it's inception. Let's balance it how it should be.
Keep it THE SAME WAY IT IS, BUT, IT CAN'T BE USED WITHOUT AN ITEM.
The icon shows a weapon in the survivors hand, so to get DS to work, the survivor should have an item. Timer is still 60s, lockers, etc are all free game. The only difference is, an item MUST BE in the survivors hands.
This makes FRANKLIN'S DEMISE a direct counter to DS. What say you community?
From a logic standpoint, this makes sense, however from a balance standpoint I'm not a fan. I think there are better ways of balancing the perk than just adding another condition to a perk that already has a condition.
-
I play Clown, so I'm bound to do better with other killers over him, however I find him extremely fun to play as and can still get a lot of 3ks and 4ks if I play well.
