Definitely better over current NoeD.

It's OP but not for the reason you list it as.

I figured they were referencing the Norse god. Didn’t think of Marvel.
I think they meant the Norse god and not the Marvel one, although I'm unsure.
Edit: replied to the wrong person smh.

Considering Demo was only removed from the game 3 months back, I doubt we will see a collaboration with Netflix any time soon.
-
Tagging the number one PH main EU, hopefully he can help.

Swamp.
I hate the realm completely on both sides and it tends to lead to a very boring or unfun match.
This leads to me playing worse, which leads it back to the question of the thread.

I mean, tunneling is just inevitable if you want to win as killer. Against sweaty survivors you are usually gonna lose almost 2 gens for your first hook unless you are playing a top tier character. That's completely unsustainable and the game is on track to be over in 4-5 minutes. I don't know why people still think you can get 12 hooks in that timeframe while swapping targets and moving to new areas of the map with fresh pallets.
Maybe as Nurse. As someone like Clown? It's not happening and your only viable strategy is to tunnel someone into the ground ASAP.
Also it's easier to just negate DH by playing 1 shot characters. I don't hate mindbreaker on killers who are ambushing survivors at generators either.
As a Clown main I'm gonna disagree with that completely, unless something has changed in my month break, I won most of my games without tunneling anyone out and it was rarely a sweat fest either, games being done in 4-5 minutes has always been an extremely rare occurrence for me.
-
If Dead Hard just gives survivors a free third health state, why don't we just change it to that instead.
Basically let's give it a permanent Mettle of Man effect.
That's how we balance things by your logic.
-
As of a month and a half back (the last I played), I currently have 1,206 escapes and 5,561 sacrifices.
-
Yeh a lot of them definitely should be made easier. Hopefully they change some of the harder ones soon.
-
If they can be permanently broken then make their effects map wide. Otherwise they'd be useless.
CoH just needs to have the self care ability removed while reverting to the 100% heal speed boost.
-
Some of these will definitely be more controversial than others, but here goes nothing.
- Unbreakable is overrated.
- CoH benefits some killers more than it hurts them.
- Iron Will needs some drawback or limit.
- Adrenaline is, other than Head On, the worst exhaustion perk.
- Spine chill makes survivors play much worse.
- Aftercare is one of the most underrated solo queue perks, although it does need a buff.
- Small game shouldn't have tokens for how much totems are left. It should have been base kit.
- Autodidact is actually a good perk.

I hate noed and dead hard for the same reason. They both exist to rob the opposing side of a victory.
They both feel horrible to go against, and if you're not ok with one you shouldn't be ok with other, that is if you actually play both sides of this game
Couldn't have put it better.
-
Depends on what the feedback is like in a week or so.
I do think they'll buff her, but they will be cautious with it. They'll take buff her a small bit and maybe revisit her in either the next mid chapter or the mid chapter after the next chapter.
-
Yknow what I'd actually love to listen to one of these, especially with topics where people could have very different views such as balance of the game.

Good point.
Was it a good change though or a substantial mix up? not really.
Healthy changes should broaden the available play styles not narrow them, that's what makes stale meta a narrow selection of viable play options.
Like you said it was an unhealthy change, and due to such I hope the perk is changed soon.
-
I don't see the problem I guess. People have asked for worse.
Including me. I just want topless Jake.

The somewhat tedious, but to my knowledge correct way, is this:
You file a report for harresment via the in-game system and take a screenshot. THEN you go to this page here (or just google dbd report):
and scroll down till you find "Additional player report information". Then you follow the steps there, report some more stuff, including your very lengthy own player ID and the screen name of the rowdy player and also submit your screenshots of the post-game chat.
In the end you will get an eMail and the fuzzy feeling that you fought toxicity with the slowly grinding mills of BHVRs internal systems. At the very least the toxic player might get an internal mark and if stuff accumulates they might give him a slap on the wrist. I don't know, I have done it a few times when peeps clearly overstepped, but obviously I don't know if anything came of it.
You dont actually need to screenshot it and report them on the website if you're reporting them for in game chat. Reporting them sends the logs to the report team instantly.

Except undying got a real nerf, and COHs nerf isnt even noticable
I will agree with that, although the point of my reply never was if the CoH nerf was enough or not. It's the fact that the other person phrased it as if Undying was nerfed instantly while CoH took ages to receive a change.

Nah Undying was nuked into oblivion. How often do you really see it these days? I only see it when I play against Blight. Meanwhile the COH "nerf" only added a couple seconds extra. So yes technically it was a nerf but it didn't change the new meta.
Boons need either tokens so survivors don't have unlimited blessings and/or killers should have an option to bust the totem so it can be reused.
Haven't played in a month, but back when I did play I still saw it in most of the survivor matches I played, and when I played killer it had become a common perk for me to use when playing with certain killers along with great success.
CoH does need another nerf however without a doubt. Personally I'd prefer it to have that 100% speed boost to healing (maybe even more although that could definitely be broken) but remove the ability to heal yourself with it. Possibly a range reduction along with it, which could work interestingly with other boons.
-
I misinterpreted the title as you rating your friends, on a tier list format.
So if one of your friends was funny, instant S tier, while if you had a real boring friend, straight into D.
-
@NOEDENJOYER said:
Undying, fairly got nerfed pretty damn quickly because it made the survivor experience miserable.
Circle of Healing, takes a couple of months to receive a "nerf" and remains a main contention to killer misery and is still a problem.
Just one example of how the developers don't actually care for the killers experience. If they did, COH would've been nuked as fast as Undying.
This arguement falls flat when you realise that, unless the wiki is incorrect, Undying lasted a month longer than CoH in its strongest stage, with Undyings introduction being in Mid September and being nerfed early February, while CoH was introduced in October and nerfed late January.
Also saying Undying was nuked is a huge overstatement.

It didn't really change the meta though. Everyone still runs the same 1v1 chase perks and one just subs in a COH for uber team healing.
All it did was invalidate hit and run playstyle thus upping the value of tunneling and camping further, two strats that people bemoan constantly.
And that's still a change in the meta if it changes the way people play.

@Mdawgu said:
Seems like most people agree boons are OK. Circle of healing is busted. Wonder if there is a reason for that devs?
I do think the devs realise that it's strong and needs to be nerfed, but also don't want to completely gut the perk as it's a fresh change to the meta, so from seeing it get nerfed a tad bit recently, if I had to take a guess it'll receive further changes soon. They're just taking it in small steps.
-
They most likely will be. A great example would be how in 2020 Cheryl had her christmas sweater released through a code, and if you missed it, it was available for purchase sometime in 2021 year (iirc).
-
I'll be honest I've never experienced this and I consider myself great with certain killers.

If boons aren't as powerful or stronger then hexes the how come when boons came out hex builds pretty much fell off the map?
Two reasons
1. Hexes are either great or awful. It's why the usual four you'll see now are Ruin, Undying, Devour Hope and Noed. Even before boons, you would only really see these four.
2. Boons aren't that great other than CoH. CoH itself does need a nerf according to most, but the other two that are in game right now aren't used often if at all, and for good reason as they're not that good. And the new one in the PTB won't be used much either.
In other words, this isn't a boon strength problem, or a hex weakness problem, it's a coh strength problem.
-
Boons have a limited range and have effects that aren't near as strong as the hex that was usually paired with Undying (that being ruin).
They aren't comparable, at all.
That doesn't mean I think CoH is fine, I just don't like the comparison.

@YourFather said:
Why cant Hex totems be reused when they get destroyed and blessed? because they would be Overpowered.
So why can Boons be reused infinite amount of times in the game? because they are Overpowered.
Right now we have a Boon that offers very good areal healing.
A Boon that hides Scratch marks and Auras, so basically creating a Safe Zone for survivors.
And now with the new Killer and Survivor coming. We are getting a Boon that gives Haste, which inturn creates another Safe Zone plus More workable loops. The killers with little or no mobility have already a hard time doing well in the game.
So what are my known solutions for this problems?
- Its stated on the title of the discussion.
- Make it so that Boon can be used only two times in a match(so it has tokens for example).
- Give Killer the ability to destroy blessed Totems completely. So that the Survivors cannot use that Totem again.
The only boon that needs changing is CoH. The other two currently in the game aren't great, and the new one will most likely be used as much as the said two boons, maybe a small bit more.
Some of the weaker hexes needs buffs, but that's as far as I would go.
-
Joey.
I'm sure he's soft behind that mask + free hoodies.

Doubt it'll ever get one but I'd love one.

Lethal Pursuer on Billy or Huntress is always fun, even if its a one use perk.
I also like using Nemesis on Nemesis.

Didn't the devs say they put a Bloodpoint cap in place to limit the damage cheaters can do?
Speedhacking, god flashlghts, sprinting while dying, flying, insta-healing, and the devs are worried about cheaters buying perks, items, and addons??
This was a long, long time back when cheaters were a very rare occurrence afaik.
-
Other than those that you have mentioned, I would say @CashelP14 and @Aven_Fallen who coincidentally both have the same pfp and both of them are quite good members.
-
@jesterkind said:
...Why would they give out compensation for killswitching something?
Because the dbd community is fairly entitled that's why.

No. The only way bp can go above the cap is if you redeem codes or rank rewards. I don’t think there has been enough of these to get that much bp.
-
I love how we have loads of Kate mains complaining about favouritism after getting a linked cosmetic, and then there’s me just waiting for Jeff to get any cosmetic at all.

Or, and hear me out; if everyone pulled their weight & did totems as they find them; then you would not have to worry if your SoloQ teammates did totems.
But as I've said; I'm for a totem counter if you're not in a SWF. Another good mechanic to help SoloQs approach SWF.
A base kit totem counter is a solution I can happily agree on.

Doing totems costs pretty much time not doing a gen to even get to the point where NOED activates
That's, literally, the point? Either you do totems, or you speedrun gens & get punished. Holy hell; why do people keep thinking THE POINT is a flaw? Probably because they don't want to stop doing gens.
Also wit randoms you cant yjust do totems, and you cant coordinate with them doing totems at all
If everyone JUST DID TOTEMS; being with randos would not matter. What TF do you want? Totems to self-cleanse unless everyone is in a SWF?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799639#Comment_2799639
Again; if everyone would just do totems as they see them; being in a SWF or solo would not change anything.
But Survivors want to stomp and scream and insist NoED is impossible to counter for SoloQs because they want to sit in their comfy SWF with 16 META perks and lick gens until they t-bag out the exit, and NoED ruins that. So clearly NoED is impossibly and 'Someone think of the SoloQ!'
If everyone did totems in solo queue then we would see a higher kill rate without a doubt. The killer gains a lot of pressure if survivors not only have to go around cleansing the totems, but also figuring out if their team also did the totems and where they did them.
In a swf you can just call out "I did a totem in the corner of the map" and everyone knows that they don't have to go there. In solo queue, you have to check there regardless unless you had seen them do a totem there earlier. Combine this with the fact you have to do this another 4 times and it shows how much time is wasted.
And yeh just presume I'm a "survivor", the presumption is wrong but good on you for guessing.

@Phasmamain said:
But a lot of this is subjective. For example I don’t find tagging or shaking head toxic since there are a lot of contexts in how it is used
I think it should be obvious when it’s used in a toxic way (after a pallet stun, at exit gates) and when it’s used for being nice (Tbagging with another survivor, tbagging after a killer does something nice such as giving them hatch or farming)
-
@AngyKiller said:
Oh look, more 'If you don't play the way I demand, I'm going to shame you' BS. Good thing your opinion means nothing. 🤡
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799544#Comment_2799544
Actually NoED saves your ass if Survivors don't use their ability to cleanse totems. IE: Survivor input. Really wish people would stop lying about NoED.
I’ll agree with the NoeD part for swf, however for solo queue I don’t think this is a lie at all.
-
I’ll be honest, I don’t know why they’re visual. They should be hidden so no one gets confused in future.
-
Depends on the killer and if I’m playing serious or not.
For example, if I’m playing Billy seriously, I very rarely get anything less than a 3k, while if I’m messing around with Huntress I’d only get a kill or two, if even.
-
As mentioned above, it's due to the game not being made with a replay mode in mind. It was confirmed recently in a Q&A (iirc) that the only way to implement it would to be start coding the game from the ground up.
-
Until Dawn!
-
Not once. I don't swf for good reasons, and I've never seen anyone here on dbd, although I'm very poor at remembering names of people so maybe I have before and I just didn't realise.
-
Until Dawn.
I'd do anything to have it added to dbd as long as they make the killer the Wendigo and not the other option.

@DoritoHead said:
How about no
Edit: And here's why.
Many killers rely on their M2 for hits (Huntress, Bubba, Pyramid Head, Oni,
Bird MommyArtist, Blight, Hillbilly) and so STBFL stacks aren't going to be helpful. Many killers only get hits using their M1 attacks (Michael Myers, Ghostface, Trapper, Spirit, Nurse, Ghostface, Pinhead without Engineer's Fang, Freddy) and so while STBFL can have value, it's extremely niche and there are simply better perks to run.
The only killers STBFL is good on are killers where it can be a huge help for using their power quickly (Hag, Deathslinger) or killers that have M2 abilities that are average enough that you'll usually just get hits from faking it or not using it at all and getting an M1, But strong enough that you can use them on the obsession no problem. The only 2 killers that this applies to are Demo and Nemesis. That is a grand total of 4 killers.
I’d like to add Clown to that list of killers it works well for. Stbfl will considerably reduce the distance survivors make if they’re already slowed down, making it a great choice for him. Shame not a lot of people realise its potential with him.
