In what world is Hillbilly the only weak original killer?
-
Are we able to tbag and go clicky click with a flashlight to the killer?
-
None of the examples are holding the game hostage at all.
-
Demo. They're always extremely nice while usually keep the match close.
-
As a Billy main, remove his roar, buff most of his add ons while nerfing Lopro chains, and fix stupid hitboxes of branches and vines that realistically shouldn't be stopping him.
-
Dead Hard and CoH need nerfs, along with Iron Will. Every other survivor perk is fine.
Dead Hard needs a rework, I can't see it's current concept being balanced without either keeping it S tier or completely killing its use.
CoH doesn't need a range nerf. That doesn't fix it's main issue. It needs the self care ability removed imo, while also reverting to the 100% heal speed boost to compensate.
Iron Will needs either a duration or a reduction to the percentage that it reduces for grunts of pain.
-
This would make all boons useless. The only one that needs changing right now is CoH.
Also, Hex: Pentimento, like any other hex, is a perk with a great reward but huge risk. If you don't like the risk of boons, don't bring the perk.
-
Itll probably be one of the more popular survivors, so Feng or Nea probably.
-
Neutral as a killer main.
I think it's more balanced than Noed as it doesn't effect the whole team while also giving a fair warning. I also like how it promotes not tunneling the obsession until focusing on them at the end. Bonus points for it's synergy with Nemesis (The perk, not the killer).
I dislike how weak it is, and how that it can't be buffed too much without turning it into another Noed.
I would however leave it as it is, as although it's a weak perk, many killers find it very fun.

Not all but most TTV are just toxic, cry baby, attention seeking ######. If I see a TTV i'm out.
I've faced countless TTVs. I've only ever had one that was blatantly toxic at me, while a few that were more toxic about my playstyle. Otherwise the vast majority have been quite nice, or just average without any criticism or praise.
-
What's wrong with TTVs, what's wrong with SWFs (most of the time you can't tell it's a swf from my experience), how did you know it was high MMR and how did you know it was a SWF?
-
Nemesis has always been one of the more tunnely killers from my experience.
As for camping, it's as common as it is with the majority of the cast to me.
-
All of killers main ways of getting bp will somewhat align with chasing. As far as I'm aware, they can get bp in all categories just by getting into chases.
For survivor, it's a lot more spread out. You're not going to be healing survivors while being chased, or going for hook saves when you're on the opposite side of the map doing a gen.

115 nurse with 5 omega blinks
I'm convinced this forums would still find that survivor sided.
-
So a single game dictates how the game should be balanced...well in that case can we please have Pig nerfed? I faced a Pig who killed all of us without a single gen popping so she must be overpowered.
-
I can't speak for survivor, as I only really use builds based on what archive challenge I have, but I do use a somewhat unique build for Billy, that being BBQ, Lethal Persuer, Enduring and Spirit Fury. No slowdown and much more fun.
I also like using an All Exposed Myers build, usually consisting of Noed, Devour Hope, Haunted Grounds and Make Your Choice.
-
I'll be honest, the map isn't too confusing once you learn it, even without playing RE2. I'd say the only part I don't know is a very small bit of the upstairs, on the east side of the map. Otherwise I think I know most pallet and gen spawns and the way to navigate it.
-
The only killer that I think is even somewhat add on reliant right now is Ghostface and maybe Nemeis before Marvin's Blood (Is that the name?) was nerfed . Everyone else can perform relatively fine without add ons as long as the player is good.
This includes Spirit, who is the third best killer in the game and needs one of her red add ons nerfed.
-
Keep all offerings during prestige imo, let alone the retired or unavailable ones.
-
It's not a bad perk per se, it's just a very niche one, and even when you do bring it there are many opportunities to look at a wall instead of having to deal with them.
I do however love bringing it when I see 4 flashlights and the survivors intents aren't doing gens but just to be toxic.
-
Hated it as Billy, hated it as surv. It was fun on Clown however.
Still, it remained one of my least favourite maps when it existed.

One BNP is already enough to change the match, what are you trying to say?
Gonna disagree with that, most games I don't realise there was a bnp till after the game and I don't feel like any gen went fast.

It's funny you say that because I'm literally matching with BNP and prove thyself EVERY match, lmao
That's unfortunate, but are they bringing just one bnp or is it a 4x bnp?
-
Gonna agree with you.
I'll be honest, I find most of this forums is very over dramatic when it comes to things. Some people act as if gen rushing happens every match or two yet I can count the amount of times I've ever actually experienced it on one hand.
I don't see my totems get cleansed in 30 seconds either.
And sure toxicity happens, which admittedly does get to me, but it happens when I play survivor too so it's an issue with both sides.
Killer to me is much more enjoyable than survivor ever has.
-
It's definitely not impossible, I know for a fact I got it genuinely.
It does, however, require a ton of luck and usually a build dedicated around it.
I remember for me I needed Wake Up, Iron Will and Resilience all in one, while getting a very lucky Haddonfield door spawn.

Why?! She has the best skins :'(
Not even in the best 3 for female survivors, let alone survivors in general
-
As a Billy main, I'd love for his roar to be removed and some add ons to be buffed. As for the smoke and being forced to look down, I don't mind that much if at all.
-
I will be honest, from my experience this sounds like a you problem.
Came back a few days ago to the game and in about 15-20 no slowdown perk Billy matches I'm still yet to get a 0k/1k.
-
One of two things.
A. They're a hacker.
B. They've had the game open since before she was kill switched.
It's most likely A
-
I wanna say Demo if he was slightly stronger. His power helps him in chase, tracking survivors and going around the map quickly.
I'm glad that those who are arguing Nurse aren't the ones balancing the game.
-
Not even a question this one. Nea is the only surv that I find is toxic more often than nice.
-
They've said they're done talking about possible future mechanics as it only gets peoples hopes up for something that's in development.
Not sure about the kindred one, but early game collapse is a concept from a long time ago so not a great example there.
-
You want to buff the third best killer in the game...?

Not really as demo and ringu has a pretty strong 3 gen protection with their teleportation. But you did make fair point with end game as they can camp easily and block the gates being powered. Mmm to make it fair the you can't spawn out when you're up by the gate nor can you spawn out near a hook.
That would definitely make it much more balanced, however still boring in my eyes.
If this were to ever happen, I think they'd all need something unique to each them, for example Foxy could have some sort of attack where he does a quick run and hit, similar to how he runs down the corridor in the games.
-
Would have arguably the strongest end game of any killer with the ability to defend all the last three gens at once with, also sounds like a pretty boring power imo.
-
Would I have camped and tunneled you? Nah. Would I have been annoyed and frustrated though? Yep.
This wouldn't necessarily be due to you however, but rather sudden loud noises such as Flashbang and Blast Mine, trigger my tics, which cause a bad pain in my neck and shoulders, and if they've been bad on said day, headaches.
-
You know the saying goes, 7th times the charm!

Shameless self promotion, Kate did a small bit of tbagging and didn't leave when she could leading to an extra free kill.
No audio for some reason but oh well.
Also yes I did get toxic after. Do I know if this Kate was toxic the whole match themselves? Or maybe I was in a bad mood? I've no clue this happened 7 months ago.
-
Well Clowns bottles practically nullify dead hard unless the survivor uses it smartly.
-
Visually beautiful but horrible balance wise from my experience.

@NoOneKnowsNova the only guy ik that still plays Billy maybe he can give some more advice
Thank you for tagging me here Karu ^^ I always seem to miss threads that I'd actually be of use in.
Perks
Let's start off with perks as that's the first thing you mentioned. Hillbilly usually excels with perks that do one of three things.
1. Has a good synergy with his ability to go around the map fast.
Examples of this would be Hex: Ruin, BBQ or Tinkerer.
2. Has a good synergy with getting downs with his chainsaw.
Examples of this would be Spirit Fury with Enduring or to an extent Infectious Fright.
3. Has a good synergy with helping him get downs on loops that don't work with his chainsaw.
Examples of this would be yet again Spirit Fury with Enduring, or Bamboozle.
Seeing as you're relatively new to Billy, I don't think it's a great idea to suggest the build I use, so instead I'm going to reccomend a few perks that you can mix and match. These are;
Hex: Ruin (with or without undying), BBQ, Spirit Fury and Enduring, Bamboozle, Tinkerer, Discordance, Infectious Fright, Lethal Purseur, Pop, Thrilling Thremors, Whispers.
The basic build I'd say would Be Ruindying with Bamboozle and then any perk between Whispers, BBQ or Thrilling, although at the end of the day it's your call.
Add ons
Next up add ons. It's easy to tell to most people that his add ons aren't that great. So I'll keep this brief. His best add ons are Lopro chains and anything that reduces his overheat. Engravings are also good although usually I reccomend learning Billy without them first.
What you should try to do
Pay attention to what kind of survivor you're looping early in the game. When rounding corners with your chainsaw some survivors don't hug the wall out of fear. You can sometimes catch them out and use this to your advantage.
Know how to feather your chainsaw needed.
Be able to do mind games consistently with your red stain while revving. Some loops like shack can be amazing for you if you know how to do this and the survivor isnt paying full attention.
What you should not do
Don't overuse your chainsaw or it will overheat often. Overheat is one of the common Billy complaints I see yet once you learn him you don't overheat too much unless you're not using his chainsaw correctly.
If you need to, don't be afraid to M1 them. Better to get a hit than miss three or four chainsaws.
Finally
Be prepared to lose. Billy is, to me, the most map dependent killer in the game. If you get a bad map it can be game there and then. If you get a good map then you can dominate. Regardless, make sure to enjoy yourself playing Billy and remember that sometimes his shotgun is better than his chainsaw.
-
Fun is subjective...so for now I would reccomend you take a break from the game and try something else.

But why miss when you can hit and gain an open perk slot?
Dead Hard exists, Spins/Fakes exist, sometimes you swing through a pallet after trying to mind game but they're gone, simply missing a survivor due to the aim assist thing screwing you over and finally when dropping from buildings but wanting to do a 180 its quicker to swing and even quicker with unrelenting.
Yes it isn't an amazing perk, but it's not a bad perk either.
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
Perks like Monsterous shrine, Sole survivor, Unrelenting and this is not happening are so ######### bad that no change can make them better they need to be reworked to be better
Imo unrelenting is actually quite a good perk, can trick survivors out often because they don't expect you to recover so fast.
-
Boons shouldn't be changed as a whole. You have to remember making this change doesn't only nerf CoH, but it nerfs the other three perfectly fine boons.
Instead CoH needs to be changed itself.
Personally, I'd just go with buffing its healing speed back to 100%, but remove the self care action.
-
Even if it was you, you wouldn't get banned. Stream sniping isn't a bannable offence.
-
As much as I do too personally hate it (and it's one of two perks in the game that I gladly call OP) the solution isn't in removing it.
It needs a rework instead.
-
Unless they add an Until Dawn chapter, nothing for now.
I quit the game for reasons outside of DBD while I enjoyed the game at the time of quitting.

When a survivor breaks a chain on an object, another chain instantly respawns to shoot again. Many people seem to think this is a function of the Impaling Wire add-on, but no, that add-on just makes 2 chains respawn when one chain breaks. The only problem is that the chains are so slow and bad at tracking that they rarely hit, so people don't notice them.
Aim at a survivor's feet instead of their body if you're worried about missing a chain. For some reason, this increases the hitbox. Not sure why.
If you're approaching a chained survivor and you're guaranteed a hit, try to break some chains with your body before you hit them. This causes them to respawn and fire again as you hit them, which if you're lucky can slow their on-hit burst to essentially just running speed. However, this is unlikely.
Try to place your Gateway kind of in the open when chaining someone in a loop, rather than right next to them. If you chain next to them, then the chains will often all snap at once when the survivor rounds a corner or gets too close to a wall - hence why you shouldn't chain someone who's about to turn a corner from right behind them. If you chain them ahead of where they're going, then the chains are much more likely to "stick".
Franklin's Demise and Hoarder are both heavily overrated on Pinhead. Franklin's hurts you because you want to get the box when you down the guy carrying it - if you hit them, and they drop the box, then you can either continue chasing and ignore the box or pick it up and lose the chase. Hoarder is a training wheels perk first and foremost, to help you learn box spawns, but when you get good at predicting box spawns it's largely unnecessary. It's better to run slowdowns or BBQ.
Question for you, is Lethal Purseur a good pick on him? Or is it too time consuming to find the box early game and too risky in the case that LP doesn't help you find it.
-
Pinhead or Nurse.
Pinhead is extremely annoying to face as a Solo player.
Nurse shouldn't exist in the current game.
