I've never seen a Shotgun be suggested as a stun extender instead of just a stun on command, but that'd certainly make it way easier to balance.
The scissors seem pretty situational, but would be nice against a facecamping Leatherface.
I think a stun on demand would be a bit broken, so making it a stun extender makes it much fairer and like you said, easier to balance.
As for the scissors, while niche, I think it would be a quite unique and fun perk overall ^^

I don't blame you, the prices are outrageous. This is the only game outside of TF2 that's gotten me to drop tens of dollars on cosmetics. Luckily the TF2 Mannconomy is paying for most of it.
I'll be honest I don't mind the prices all that much, I just still haven't forgiven dbd for the nft incident hence I haven't bought a thing.

Gonna rip this straight from the Until Dawn chapter I made a while back.
Live To See Another Day
After repairing a generator for 80/70/60 seconds, this perk activates.
When Live To See Another Day is active, you can rummage through an opened chest which will guarantee a shotgun.
Shooting the killer in the head with a shotgun will stun the killer for an extra two seconds if they are already stunned.
Using the shotgun will instantly consume it.
Live To See Another Day can only be used once per trial.
Retaliation
Despite those falling around you, you use the few tricks you have up your sleeve.
After repairing a generator for 80/70/60 seconds, this perk activates.
When Retaliation is active, you can rummage through an opened chest which will guarantee scissors.
Stabbing the killer in the back with scissors will disable the killers power for 30 seconds or until they miss a basic attack.
Using scissors will instantly consume them.
Retaliation can only be used once per trial.

Haven't spent a cent on DBD in over a year and I don't plan on changing that now.
-
I'll be honest, half of them annoy me which is why I usually stick to killer.

Overheating ruined billy.
Last night I went against a billy who was probably pretty good but unfortunately I have legacy III Billy so there was no chance for him to win. He spent most of the game trying to saw me and gave up a 3 gen chase for it.
He found the team in the killer Shack and we had the gen to 90% completion. Two fled but me and another person were touching it alternating while he was trying to saw us. I got the last 5% while he was chasing me. Then I threw the pallet and he overheated before he could saw the pallet.
I felt bad for him as a reflection of when I play killer because Billy's power is a joke. It did not use to be that way.
While I do think he has problems, personally I've never found overheat one of them.
Hearing you have legacy III billy, maybe our differences come from the fact that I never really mained Billy until post rework, while you've been playing him since the game came out meaning you've experienced him differently than I have.
-
Overheat isn't that big of a problem. It punishes people who use his chainsaw too much.
-
To me, swamp is undoubtedly the worst realm in the game. I can somewhat deal with every other map but swamp makes me want to stop playing dbd.

Yellow bottles are unintuitive which is why he suggested changes to them since he is correct in that no one really uses them.
I'd argue that the fact that no one uses them is that they're not given a reason to. Currently, it's quicker to just walk to an area and save a bottle opposed to using a bottle as when you take into account reload times (and having to reload more often) you're actually only wasting time. If they were split into separate pools you wouldn't be wasting bottles as you could still save your three tonics for the actual chase while use three antidotes for mobility.
-
Have you seen the amount of cosmetics BHVR give her?
And let's not forget the amount of people that have already started partially simping in this discussion smh.
-
The three I decided to look at (Billy, Nurse and Clown). I all disagreed with.
Billy doesn't need his chainsaw to overheat when hitting survivors who are unhooking with his chainsaw. While potentially niche there are situations where that could be the difference between a win and a loss and survivors should be punished for trying to get risky unhooks. Bumping into objects is supposed to be highly punishing as this is an insta down ability that allows you to go at 230% speed. The revving movement speed buff however I can get behind, that's a nice buff I've never thought of. I'd also personally like his roar removed.
For Nurse, I'll die on my hill that she's an outdated killer that needs a full rework. A broken killer introduced into a broken game and has seen almost every broken mechanic get removed while she has gotten a small rework and remains as the undisputed best killer.
Clown, my second main here, is one that's interesting. From listening to Otz it sounds like he doesn't actually know what to do with Clown. Personally I'd remove Red Heads finger entirely as it does seem broken in my eyes. Otherwise I'd just go with the change many have suggested. Give Clown three bottles of each, that way when using a yellow bottle it doesn't seem like a waste.
-
For the most part, my games are much closer. Before mmr almost every Billy and Clown game (my two mains) would always either be me getting completely stonped or destroying the other side, no where in between.
Now however most games go right to the end, which while some may find stressful, others like myself long for those games that are as insanely close.
The only complaint I would say I have is in a swf it takes the average MMR of all four players, not the highest players MMR.
-
A player charm that was available last Christmas event. Couldn't even get the holiday right smh
-
While I don't like her terror radius when you're far from her and when you're within 12 meters of her, I like it when she gets extremely close to you and when she's in chase with you.
It may feel less natural when in chase however as no one plays Hag for that to be tested.
-
Probably Nurse because she's a completely outdated killer that shouldn't exist anymore and facing a good one is stupidly unfun.
-
Nurse is too strong

Always been this way.
The text is poorly worded, however it does say to "catch" a Survivor in your Bear Traps -- which can be interpreted to grab them out of it.
I'll be honest when I think of catching someone in a trap I literally just think of them stepping in it. Not even me walking over to them and hitting/grabbing them.
Maybe I'm just dumb.

Can you explain how it would be abused?
On console it's very rare for people to play with crossplay off. On the few occasions I have played with it off as I was playing with a streamer who seemed insistent on it, we ran into the same killers every time (2 or 3 different people).
So, it wouldn't be too hard to just lobby dodge until you get your friend, then let them kill you. Rinse and repeat. Works even better if no other killer has cross play off during that time cause then its just rapid in out in out.
Obviously this could be countered easily by making you only able to like each unique person once every 24 hours, otherwise 100 free shards a match, every match that ends pretty quickly. I'd say you could be getting 100 shards every 5 minutes so 1200 an hour. Not great but people would abuse it given the chance.
-
I'll be honest I'd love for Ghostface to be the worst killer in the game (or better yet reworked) but unfortunately nerfing him would make no sense as he really doesn't need one with the state he's in.
-
Would I want it? Yes
Would it ever be implemented from a business standpoint + due to the fact that this could be somewhat abused? No
-
Thank you for showing me this ^^
I thought people were complaining about the event tome or something but this is just really dissapointing to see. I hope they go back on this decision but I doubt it.
Seeing as it's a good cosmetic a lot of people will buy this and it'll probably become a common trend to see these.

Gotta love when you're 30(?) euro game with dlc costing so much more having limited time skins.
Isn't dEAd by Daylight amazing?

Wait are they releasing skins to the shop that are limited now?

Probably nothing unless I let one of my friends get their way and let them dress me up.

Shattered Hope should be basekit imo. There are 5 totems in each game which means survivors can get 5 uses out of their boon perks. Allowing constant blessings is just ridiculous.
Other options to nerf boons:
- Increase the time it takes to bless a totem each time one is snuffed out.
- You have 3 tokens, each time you bless a totem you lose a token. Once all tokens are gone, you lost the ability to bless totems. (This would allow up to 12 blessings per game if all survivors brought a boon perk).

I agree, Shattered Hope should be basekit. Imagine how stupid it would be if survivors needed a perk to destroy a Hex totem. That's how it feels right now for killer.
Gonna slightly disagree with this. As of now, the only problematic boon is Circle of Healing. The rest of them aren't worthwhile bringing cause either their effects are too niche or simply not that good.
While this change could balance CoH, it would almost certainly kill off the other boon perks.
-
I want a really flashy bright cool looking map, one that seems almost futuristic in a sense.
-
Overheat doesn't effect a good Billy.
I will agree however that his add ons are pretty poor and the recent two maps haven't been the best for him.
-
She needs a rework because her power is too strong.
She's an outdated killer. She was balanced around a game that had infinite on almost every map, pallet vacuuming, two pallets on one loop, no bloodlust, ds that lasted the whole game once you were Obsession, the list goes on and on and on.
Yes she's been nerfed since, but she still remains the killer who is undeniably the best killer out of the current roster.
I don't know how she'd be reworked...although I'd like something that messes with gravity similar to what we see in her mori (at least I think something like that happens in her mori, I haven't played in a few months).
-
Honestly I came into this expecting a very subjective biased post, but many of these points are quite good.
It was mentioned in another thread however that challenges are being looked at.

It's funny that neither of those communities get brought up much in discussions like these. Though admittedly I've only seen small bits of FG discussion here and there since it's gone F2P, but even from that I totally believe this. And I know for a fact DBD toxicity has nothing on ToS.
If I had to theorise why neither get brought up I'd have to jump to the fact that all three of the games are wildly different. Dead by Daylight is a 1v4 horror game, ToS is a tactical Mafia/Werewolf styled game and Fall Guys is a party game.
It's a shame cause both of them are good games but their communities have made the game much harder to enjoy.

oh I've not been on Reddit so I was unaware of that but, then again Reddit is one of the worst places for everything.
Reddit definitely can be a bad place, but with most communities I'm in usually there is just a loud minority, with most people being fine as long as you stay away from the huge subreddits.
The Fall Guys sub really feels like they just rounded all the bad annoying users and put them in one place for the laugh of it. Try say anything positive and you'll be down voted into oblivion.

Really Fall Guys? Is it from like gameplay perspective or just the community overall of Fall guys?
The gameplay is mostly fine. The community, especially on reddit, consists of the most entitled, whiny people you will ever come across. They make the DBD community look like saints.
-
The only more toxic communities I've ever seen are the Fall Guys community and the Town of Salem Community.

I'm a fan of one single freebie. Sometimes connections drop for a split second and you get dropped thru no fault of your own, sometimes you get disconnected from host but you never actually lost internet, it's happened to me before while I'm actively in a party talking with people. Bhvrs servers aren't the best, but not so bad it should need more than one in a cycle.
That's why the first ban is only 5 minutes. By the time you log back in from a disconnected that should be half of it gone already.
These form of disconnects are rare. If they were common I'd be up for debating a freebie, but to me, someone who has good Internet, I'd say I dc once every two weeks or three weeks due to server issues. I can manage those five minute bans just fine.
-
If you're playing with bad Internet then you're ruining the game for four other people. You absolutely deserve to be punished with a dc penalty if you disconnect cause you selfishly decided to play knowing you could ruin others games.
-
I really don't understand how some people think both are too low.
Survivor I can understand...the argument is there to be made as it makes less than killer, but killer is more than fine especially after all the recent changes.
-
Well the game has to be fun for both sides. Right now I don't think there are any killers that need to be nerfed due to them being boring. The problem with the main two that have received nerfs due to it (Freddy and Spirit) is that they had no interactions. They created lose lose situations.

Nurse already got nerfed for several times. Nurse need no more nerfes. The other killers need buffs.
This is extremely flawed logic
-
I'm only "toxic" when I'm feeling bad and even then I try not to. Unless the person was being toxic to me, I almost always feel worse after.
-
Jeff and Jake

Hillbilly main here. My best guess is that it's to punish people who overuse their chainsaw. If you're good at Hillbilly, you'll very very very rarely overheat ever anyways so it doesn't matter too much to me.

its scarier to think that they believed it was supposed to be this way all along.
To be fair this may be more due to a lack of communication between those who code the game and those who playtest it and less them simply not playing their game whatsoever.
After all the description of the perk never specified prior that it deactivated after use, which leads me to believe that it was never clarified between the two teams in the first case hence the huge delay in "fixing" it.
-
As a Billy and Clown main due to my bias I feel insulted.
