Everyone is talking about Lery's but what about Hawkins lab? Also, great idea it would add so much more atmosphere to the game and ''Dead by Daylight'' would actually make sense now.

I don't watch stranger things, so we need something equivalent for that map — preferably something related to the Upside Down. :)

Who cares about what devs say, they don't understand their own game LUL

There's a lot they see that you don't see as a consumer.

    Couple questions/points

Thana: wdym with "This penalty increases to 20% over 120 seconds."?

Lullaby: So basically another haunted grounds?

Beast: i feel like 30-20 seconds is way too long.

Sole: im guessing every death makes it go down right? (So 40,32) Also, by "inviaible to killer perspective" you mean completely invisible or still aura?

Boil: how exactly would that work? "Recovery progress is converted into struggle effects (not struggle progress) at a 50%/75%/100% conversion rate."

Rest i like, pretty good ideas!

Thana: wdym with "This penalty increases to 20% over 120 seconds."?

When you are injured, you will suffer an increasing penalty to repair, heal, and sabotage speeds that starts at 3%/4%/5%. If you don't heal for a while, this penalty will max out at 20% within 120 seconds of not healing.

Lullaby: So basically another haunted grounds?

Yes, if it's going to be a Hex.

Sole: im guessing every death makes it go down right? (So 40,32) Also, by "inviaible to killer perspective" you mean completely invisible or still aura?

Yes, increasing the meters would make the perk weaker.

I mean completely invisible to the killer, this will help the last survivor get away with things they would normally not get away with.

Beast: i feel like 30-20 seconds is way too long.

    How does 40/35/30 sound? :)

Boil: how exactly would that work? "Recovery progress is converted into struggle effects (not struggle progress) at a 50%/75%/100% conversion rate."

If you recovered to 95%, when picked up by the killer, your struggle effects will be 95% stronger than normal.

95% is 20% more than the current Boil Over. :D

  • This perk is just awful because a lower terror radius doesn't help you while in a chase.

If anything, the perk should lower your terror radius at all times by 4 meters per Obsession hook up to a maximum of 16.

This might sound strong, but it does encourage the killer to not camp. The perk makes both sides happy, one sides gets rewarded for applying pressure while the other side doesn't have to get camped. :)

The developers need everyone to participate, this is a team effort. There's a reason why they told us it's our game, not their game. :)

If that were true and they wanted our feedback about the dedicated servers on the live build, why wasn't the release properly announced in game? I hadn't taken part in the PTB so it took me a while to realize what was going on. If I knew, I could have properly documented and reported the issues I encountered.

It would be confusing for console players because they can't get into the PTB. However, the official forums are linked to the game, so everyone can get equal access on events and offer their word there (if they choose to). :)

I'm sorry if I sound a little oppressive, but the game won't just improve on it's own. Feedback plays a huge role in every game, and it was the reason why DS was reworked, pallet vacuum was removed, EGC was introduced for standoffs, and so on.

If no one offered any feedback at all, where would the game be at today?

  • @Dreamnomad said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/730735#Comment_730735

You are wrong on every single count. I absolutely can and do expect a professional well-made product when I spend money. I reserve the right to do whatever I wish with my free time. If I choose to give feedback then that is my choice. If I choose to complain about the product being unsatisfactory then that is also my choice.

If I choose to not waste my time and money on the game because I'm unsatisfied and would prefer to do other things in my free time that is my choice. I am under no obligation what-so-ever. A job is something I get paid to do. If I'm not getting paid then it isn't a job. A game is something I play for enjoyment. If BVHR puts out an unsatisfactory product then the consequences are theirs, not mine.

How can you expect a professional product if you aren't going to help them?

Like I said, the developers can't do everything, and they definitely can't read your mind on what you want as a consumer (as well as what is wrong). You are free to do whatever you want, but there are consequences.

Choosing not to help them can end up hurting you and everyone else in the long run. That's all I'm saying, and if everyone would participate, the game would be in a better state.

  • @Dreamnomad said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/730378#Comment_730378

My JOB as a consumer is to enjoy the game in my free time! I'm not slave labor. They can use the perfectly good money we pay them to pay people to test their stuff.

Your job as a consumer is also to provide feedback as well. If it wasn't your job as a consumer, there wouldn't be a "feedback and suggestion" sub form let alone a "Dedicated Servers Feedback" sub form whenever they activate them on the PTB.

However, if you don't want to participate in making the game a better place by offering feedback, then don't complain when bugs, connection issues, and etc. ruin your "free time". You had the option to make the game better by testing stuff and offering feedback, but decided not to — thus there are consequences to your actions.

The developers need everyone to participate, this is a team effort. There's a reason why they told us it's our game, not their game. :)

Since I got 6 upvotes on this suggestion, I was thinking tokens should be earned everytime you heal to the healthy state.

This gives an incentive to heal or take protection hits for your teammates to get your tokens back! :)

How does everyone feel about the EGC now that we've had a long time with it?

I like the EGC, but I don't like Exit Gates being impossible to open or patrol in a reasonable amount of time. Survivors, although at a disadvantage, shouldn't be left with impossible odds for survival and the killer shouldn't have to give up because the Exit Gates are light years apart. :)

  • @StupidButTru said:

With the amount of perks killers have that helps killers babysi- I mean track survivors. Distortions needs more stacks with killers coupling Nurses with BBQ n Chili. At the very least give it 5 stacks since there's tons of add-ons and perks that reveals aura especially in high ranks.

I already know there's gonna be comments saying DiSTorTion iz FiNe ThE WaY iT Izzz. But seriously you have way too many tracking perks and add-ons for a game thats supposed to be a hide and seek element.

We don't get paid to test. Not interested in working for free. Hire some gamers to do so.

Here's what I see, if you want a good game then it's your goal as a consumer to make sure the developers know what is wrong with their Dedicated Servers.

Otherwise, you can't complain about Dedicated Servers being bad because you had the opportunity to give the developers feedback but choose not to instead because "you wanted to be paid".

The developers don't need to pay you for doing your job as a consumer, namely, providing feedback. :/

That doesn't make it any less stupid though. Why should a rank 15 survivor fight a purple ranked killer? They are clearly going too get destroyed.

They are in a SWF, so the highest rank will be used to prevent bullying. I rather have this than SWF squads using their low ranked buddies to bully low ranked killers in my opinion. :)

5 and 13 is a range of 8 not 6. So it's still not the appropriate ranks.

Though it is pretty close to be fair.

    He's a rank 10.

Survivors often complain because she comes out of nowhere and downs you for little to no skill at all. However, killers say she does take skill because you have to predict the survivors' movement — which isn't always as clear as it may seem to survivors.

Now, in my opinion, to be as unbiased as possible, I agree with both sides to an extent. There are times where you get rewarded for doing absolutely nothing is kinda cheap, but at the same time, from my Spirit experience, she does take an insane amount of skill to perform crazy hits with her power.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/729014#Comment_729014

It's one of the examples we gave. Right now, it just increases range without increasing charge time. This means you can go, "Oops, I accidentally touched the blink button and ended up in a different timezone." The reason why this becomes a problem is because it greatly reduces the window of time the survivor has to run away and break line of sight, allowing the Nurse to catch back up much quicker, reducing the amount of counterplay.

After the change, the charge time is going to be increased as well. This means that you can still go super far, but you're going to have to spend the time charging your blink. This way, you keep the counterplay, but you still have the utility of being able to blink around the map quickly.

Short version: It's not so much the range that's an issue. The further you blink, the more time the survivor has to react and the lower your chances of actually hitting them. The bigger issue was being able to charge a blink way faster than you could without the omegablink add-ons.

The silver lining: It won't completely destroy your muscle memory.

This nurse add-on update is amazing, thank you for sharing this with me! :)

As a console Nurse main, I look forward to this!

It was changed because survivors were getting sprint burst twice during a chase.

I think Exhaustion should recover while running, but only at 25% the normal recovery speed. This turns a 40 second Exhaustion timer to a 160 second Exhaustion timer, which means the survivor would need to outplay you for 160 seconds to get their second Exhaustion perk off within the same chase. :)

I think this is a fair compromise in my opinion.

  • @Omans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/724429#Comment_724429

I'll only respond to you now because you are the only one who isn't blinded by ignorance. And because I respect someone who plays nurse on console.

But, like, I agree with you? I said so many times that this is the worst map in the game and this house is terrible to try to chase in, but it ain't no infinite. Of that I'm sure. Next time you are killer on that map do what I said and you'll see. Even against a Survivor who runs the route optimally you will catch up.

But man, you are devotion 2, that's still kind of a new player in this game. Just saying. And people who can't consistently hit rank 1 on both sides shouldn't be talking about balance issues. I just assume that people who want to discuss balance are able to be rank 1 on both sides. But there is a huge, huge skill spread between a good rank 1 and a noobie rank 1. So, showing those pictures doesn't really mean much...taking those pictures at the very beginning of rank reset would at least mean something. Anyways, take some advice from someone with many, many more hours in the game. And from someone who originally played console before switching to PC, I'll tell you that no, on console it is impossible to rotate your camera as quick as you can on PC. So doing that thing I said will be less effective on console.

I am all for Haddonfield just being deleted. It is a terrible map. But I really don't like misinformation being spread, too.

To be clear, you know I been playing Dead by Daylight before Devotion was a thing, right? Therefore, you can't base my play time on devotion because you have no idea how long I been playing before devotion was introduced.

Also, I don't like to say how many hours I have because then it turns this thread into a hours contest and I want to avoid that!

However, to give you some context on my hours without saying specifically, the pictures actually mean a lot if I'm a rank 1 console Nurse main because as you mentioned, it's a lot harder to play her, which means I'm definitely better than your typical rank one player — I know what I'm saying.

I know Haddonfield is not an infinite, but with Balanced Landing (and very rarely without Balanced Landing) you're basically creating a semi-infinite just by getting Haddonfield.

I want to define what a Semi-infinite is because I don't want people getting this confused! :D

Semi-infinite: The loop is so strong that it would cost the killer the game if they tried to chase a survivor in this loop.

No map should have a semi-infinite, period. I explained why in my previous comments how damaging, and unhealthy this is for the game.

Edit: Sorry if I sound rather oppressive, I don't mean it to come out that way! This is a very passionate subject for me, and I want you to understand why I feel like Balanced Landing makes Haddonfield almost an infinite. 😕

  • @Omans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/723582#Comment_723582

Read whatever you want. I don't know why, but I'm trying to help you get better at the game. You want to be stubborn and continue being a closed-minded, bad player? Fine. You do you.

Whining about infinites and then saying 'come fight me bruv' when you are proven wrong... That's hilarious. Players like you are the reason achieving balance is so difficult for the devs. A potato who thinks he isn't a potato (you) is a headache to deal with because he won't accept he is wrong, and is then super vocal in his whining.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/723783#Comment_723783

Did you read what I wrote? Brute-forcing it is good enough if you do what I said. And if your routing isn't very optimal, here is another tip: hide your red stain before quickly turning and vaulting the window. Be careful not to get stuck on any walls! I know that can be difficult for some players! Now the survivor player will hesitate for a split second before jumping down, allowing even low rank killers opportunity to catch up!

    ---------

Honestly, the consensus on the Asian servers is that the number of North American killer players who are potatoes is a really high number compared to actual good Killers. I didn't want to believe that, but talking to some of you, and seeing some of these clueless replies from players who seemingly have put almost no time into killers (otherwise why would you think this is an infinite when it clearly, clearly isn't) makes me wonder if they are right.

    IMG_1112ca3d-1d78-42e0-8207-e60c52d56921.png IMG_c0383687-5b17-4911-8ad7-984fec8c7b18.png

Yes, I read what you wrote, and I definitely put time on both sides — I know what I'm talking about.

That's not going to work because the survivor will wait for the red stain to touch the window for a split second, then vault. Some survivors wait for the killer to commit to the vaulting animation before jumping off (unless your Spirit). Furthermore, even if you mind game them, you have to go back down the stairs and catch back up to them. By the time you catch back up, they are going to be at a pallet, and once the killer breaks it — rinse and repeat this paragraph because you know where they are going next while you break it. Even worse, if they predict which way you leave the house, they will just go right back to the safe vault (rinse and repeat).

Just because something has some counter play doesn't justify how broken Haddonfield is. Both sides should have fair counterplay, but Haddonfield is skewed towards the survivors 9/10 times. This shouldn't be the case, period. 🤷‍♂️

Just to top it all off, you KNOW it's bad when killers are forced to ignore a portion of the map because it will cost them the entire game. If played correctly, there shouldn't be a loop so powerful that it costs the killer the game, never.

That's my arguement with reasoning and justification.

  • @Omans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/722345#Comment_722345

Not true. If you swing when decsending you can cut the chase time down considerably and catch them even with balanced..I've done it many times...

I'm not saying it isn't terrible. It is definitely the worst area on the worst map in the game, and it needs to be fixed badly, but it's not an infinite, and it can be beaten.

I doubt it because good survivors will vault the second floor and wait on the back porch roof. They won't jump down unless they KNOW the killer is coming, so you can't mind game them unless they are low ranked survivors.

Overall, this may sound killer biased, but Haddonfield is the most broken map in the game in my opinion. I'm terrible at chases as a survivor, and for me to run the killer for 3-5 generators on the semi-infinite (it takes the killer so long to catch up you minus well call it an actual infinite), is ridiculous. :(

To make you feel better, I'll tell you a story related to yours.

One time, a survivor and killer worked together to sacrifice me. The survivor let the killer down them, and use their dying state aura to find me. I ended up DCing because I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of farming me on the hook nor give the killer his hook points. They told me I was hatch camping noob etc... , but at the same time, I rescued the slugged survivor countless time. I didn't want to keep rescuing him and make one sacrifice into two sacrifices for the killer.

I reported both of them after I DC'd and that's really all you can do.

Please don’t cleanse, she is snowballing y’all because you’re cleansing. Every time I face Plague my teammates give her enough corrupt purge to last basically all game. If you’re going to cleanse then at least do it when you’re fully sick.

Most people don't know this, but walking doesn't increase your sickness.

There have been times where this saved me because I was about to become fully sick and the killer was about to hit me. Therefore, I walked and let the killer hit me, then continued to run as a become broken.
