So tell me, how come when survivors are afk, killer can still prosper, but not the other way around? How’s is that fair?

I cant tell if those awesome are ironic or not...

I always give people "Awesomes" for being civil and explaining why something needs to be buffed/nerfed/reworked lol.

    Oh. Awesome

I really do feel like WGLF should give you tokens on doing generators, destroying hex totems, opening the exit gates, stunning the killer, safe unhooking, and getting hit by the killer when he is carrying a survivor.

Wow, it's ironic that you got that much as a survivor since killer's usually get more lol.

1.They already planning to have a cool down for her power and if they do this I wouldn’t mind the movement speed she have now

    2. Her seeing blood while phasing would be op, I saw this when I used the ultra rare add on along with the other ultra rare add on “mother ring” which make her super fast.

I play with her and I am a rank 3 killer. I went from rank 11 to rank 3 just with her and a couple of game with wraith. I would not say she is a low tier killer, O really do have a fun time playing as her.

It would also be nice if the scratch marks was brighter when phasing, someone mention this but I forgot who.

However I do agree that she need some buff because with out the add ons then it is very challenging. I personally don’t mind using add ons.
I mentioned the idea of her seeing brighter scratch marks while phasing because it's the only thing she has with tracking so it needs to be reliable. :)
  • @Nickenzie because that’s not the point of the perk. Might as well ask why Brutal Strength doesn’t also make you vault or pick up faster.

WGLF is to reward survivors for playing as part of a team and making altruistic plays. Personally the only change I think they need to make is now that they have a “safe rescue” scoring event, only make a WGLF token pop when you make one, don’t reward people for farming. Of course you’d still get tokens for taking hits, untrapping, stunning.

Why do you need more ways to generate stacks?

    Flashlight save
    Pallet save
    Unhook
    Untrap
    Take a hit

I’m probably missing some. Not only are these beneficial for the survivor team, they’re beneficial to the killer as well. One or two people trying to set up saves or take hits = less people on gens. If you can get stacks just by pallet stunning killers or doing a gen... that’s too easy.
They can rename the perk to something called "The Best Survivor" and add my (More Ways to Get Stacks) Rework. It's just that not every survivor is altruistic and it sucks that you can't earn tokens any other way besides that. Imagine only getting stacks with BBQ when you hook a survivor in the basement, that's how hard it is to get stacks with WGLF because everyone has a different play style. Do you like to play a play style that you don't like? That's why I don't like WGLF and would farm with BBQ. Hopefully you'll understand @Well_Placed_HexTotem :)
  • If Autodidact is too powerful now, then We'll Make It must be broken as hell. The most likely time you'll be healing someone is after and unhook and it saves just as much time as a skill check from Autodidact at 5 tokens.
    Nice point! :)

Also, WGLF is not even in the top 5 used perks for survivors. While BBQ is strong #1

Also, nice job assuming I’m the worst, and that I’m fine cause I DC to save a flashlight. I want the points to get everyone p3, including killers!

read previous comment. I didn't even assume you bring it in the first place, just pointed that survivors DC to save it, so there is no risk and items can be saved. You want to say it was about you?

Why’d you even mention it? This is about BP (that can and will be spent on killers) not some flashy stick

    BP = more items/addons + perks + prestige.
Killers need addons. Survivors don't and even save it.
less items spent = less BP needed.
I explained it 3 times, you can't seem to grasp it. wonders

BP is shared across both factions. Let’s give you a hypothetical. If I want p3 Dwight. But I’m fine playing either side. Which side is better to play to get points fast? Killer, or survivor? When I’m spending the points on Dwight? It’s killer. Stop assuming I play survivor to spend on survivor. I want everyone p3. And I have one p3 killer and survivor already. And billy don’t need add ons

I play survivor to farm. I have BBQ, but with survivor it's much faster, efficient and relaxing. your point is..?

ps: Billy uses up addons. Survivors can find item+addon in trial and retrieve it.

Survivors don’t make more, not if you’re even somewhat good with killer. I get like 26k a game with billy. Also, I don’t use items for survivor or killer, so that point falls flat on its ass. I said it earlier but you ignored me and repeated yourself like some busted up record.

I'll repeat however many times you need, since you don't get it.
It's easy to get tokens. There are 4 ways, at least. If you can't it's only case of git gud.
If you don't use addons to farm on killer, it's your own choice. You being good enough to do that does not mean that it's actually easy. It's just that YOU are good that you can catch 4 different survivors once. It's objectively easier to get token as survivor than as killer. Are you arguing that or smth?
Or are you arguing with 26k points average? It's just you who's good. If it's someone else they might not be as good. And kiler is taking whole length of the match always. If survivors take whole length of the match, they get nearly same.

If its so easy why is there such a disparity in matchmaking right now? On PS4 (community I Mod is 56k people) 30k reported as playing killer! THATS INSANE! THATS UNREAL! Also, if you’re good enough to get 4 WGLF tokens, it doesn’t mean it’s normal ;)

Well, I'll just take this argument. I might have few arguments, such as people play both sided, not only one, but I'll just agree that people think killer is easier to get points and 4 stacks.

It's because that IT IS easier to get stacks on BBQ. (Look at my BP btw for reference)

I always use BBQ for bonus BP but I will not use WGLF because you hardly get any tokens. Even when you do, your more likely gonna receive less BP than the killer does, I'm being 100% honest with you @Sarief!
It should be easier for a killer to get stacks. The devs want BBQ to discourage camping.

Also, of course killers get more BP. They require add ons which go away no matter how well they do in a match. Meanwhile a survivor can load in with a purple item and keep it off they escape, or they can just find another purple item in a chest. I can’t load in as Doctor and find Restraint Class III sitting on the map somewhere.

When trying to balance these perks, too many times people fail to understand that in an asymmetrical 4v1 game like this, the 1 side SHOULD have advantages and better abilities.
I understand that this is asymmetrical horror game but how how much would it hurt to give a survivor more ways to earn stacks?

  • Tell you what, I'd be okay with seeing WGLF buffed if I stop seeing threads that ask for a nerf to BBQ and Chili.

Get back to me when you can accomplish that :chuffed:

I don't want WGLF to give the survivor more power, I just want it to give the survivor more ways to earn tokens besides being limited to altruistic actions. I know, I FEEL your pain killer mains that survivors are OP but adding more ways to get stacks won't make the survivor anymore stronger. It's just that currently, if I want to farm, I'll play killer because I always get 3-4 stacks on BBQ and to be honest that is not hard. Also I'll repeat, WE. JUST. WANT. MORE. WAYS. TO. GET. TOKENS. We don't want a secondary effect to the perk.

So far, the most broken perks are for survivors, so why don't you solve that first?

I'm not comparing the power of the two perks, I'm comparing how one perk will get more tokens than the other perk. I could careless of BBQ gave everyone the exposed status effect or something when you hook a survivor, I just want more ways to get stacks on WGLF! Seriously, a BP bonus doesn't make a survivor any stronger and adding more ways to get tokens won't hurt! :)

And make farming less frequent..... OH MY GOD! Is that why they don’t want it!?

WGLF should only award a stack if you perform a safe hook rescue so survivors don't swarm the hook lol.

    Spies from the Shadows
You see auras of 30/40/50% of crows in 8/10/12m. Crows in your terror radius have a 60/80/100% chance to be disturbed by injured survivors even if the survivor is crouched. Injured and dying survivirs attract more crows to land near them.

    Surveillance
Kicking a generator will cause its aura to be white to you for 16/20/24s. During this time, it regresses at 130/140/150% normal speed. If the generator is interacted with before the time is up, the killer is notified and gains a 10% speed boost for 5/7/9s. Cooldown of 20s
(Survivors will be able to tell when a generator is under the surveillance affect by red sparks coming from it)

    Unrelenting
Missed attacks have a cooldown decrease of 20/30/40%. Succsessful attacks have a decreased cooldown of 12/15/18%.

    Monstrous Shrine
Hooks in the basement give 1/2/3 less chances to free self from hook. Time in the first and second phase are both decreased by 5/8/10%

I don't like the spies from the shadow changes tbh.

There are enough tunnelers in the game and tunneling is already powerful. No need to make it more powerful.

It needs to be easier but if any generator gets done you get a stack or just ones you do? Does it go to 4 stacks or 5? It would also completely switch the way 2x bp events are played because it would be easier to get more bp while just holding m1 on a gen.

It should just be gens you do, to follow the theme of doing objectives. And unhooking is still the easiest and fastest way to get BP, so I think it would just be an alternative.

Looping is necessary, and the people complaining about how it's been in the game forever but still playing the game? I'd have moved on if something so game breaking had stayed so long.

OMG you are right! i just opened the game description http://www.deadbydaylight.com/en/game/informations/gameplay and there it is under survivor features:

    • run in circles until the killer grows tired of doing so
    • teabag at the exit gates

Oh look - someone who thinks survivors should run in straight lines so he can get easy wins.

Please stop putting words into my mouth. I never said that. (sounds familiar?)

"Looping isn't in the game description" implying it shouldn't be done, camping isn't in the game description either, so killers shouldn't be doing it, obviously.

There are more things to lose the killer than running in circles.

Please, tell me the many mechanics to losing the killer, I'm sure you're great at it.

Devs mentioned camping in the pre release streams.
They never said anything about running in circles tho.

Oh, they never mentioned anything about survivors surviving? Are you implying survivors are supposed to do EVERYTHING but run around loops to survive?

    Looping =/= Surviving

Look, we can go back and forth for hours.
You claiming that survivors con only survive by looping and i claiming that there are more things like juking, stealth, mindgames, etc.
You ignoring those things and insisting on looping being the only way, and so on...

How about we agree to disagree?

Please don't put words in my mouth, I didn't say it's the only way to survive at all - but complaining about something that is in the game and literally cannot be removed is ridiculous.

You mean like you complained about camping?
And it sure as hell can be removed.

I would love for you to quote me complaining about camping and requesting it to be removed.

And it sure as hell can be removed.

Oh god - please, give me all the feedback you have on this, I would love to hear your unbiased way of getting rid of looping that doesn't harm survivors drastically, please, I need to hear this balanced nerf of yours.

If the developers are gonna nerf pallet loops then they need to add more stealth options! Maybe a survivor could hide underneath a table or maybe a survivor can crawl in grass to avoid being seen? Just throwing out some ideas! :)

BBQ has a secondary component because if it were strictly used for BP gain then no killer in his right mind would remove 1/4th of his perks for it while trying to rank up (we are, in theory, supposed to be trying to rank up, right?).

If someone takes WGLF then that's only 1/16th of the survivor team's perks.

While I agree the tokens should be more easily obtainable (the current requirements assume that a killer is doing well enough that there are plenty of unhooks to go around), a secondary effect is unnecessary. Perhaps make consistently hitting great skillchecks be a trigger for a token? Or repairing the equivalent of a full generator?

Yeah, it needs a buff. Tokens need to definitly be easier. Or simply require less

Agreed, WGLF needs more ways to earn stacks besides be limited to being altruistic!
  • The only thing I can see as far as to why they wouldn't is the one major difference to what you are saying in your examples . The event counters for survivors like repairing gens or cleansing totems are fixed items and no challenge in finding or catching them to get the bonus . the killer only gets a stackable bonus if he chases down a survivor and hooks them the first time , so that means he has to hook each survivor once at least before loosing any survivors for the effect to have its max . Take also in consideration that a objective that is fixed cant dc to keep you from getting your bonus either .

Is it weaker in comparison , probably so . But is it easier for a survivor to do ? does a dc effect it ?

I understand @Grimbergoth and your reasoning but hear me out!

Well hooking a survivor IS the killer's objective and eventually you'll get someone on the hook! Additionally, it's not difficult to find survivors since nowadays survivors think they are the power role and don't care if the killer finds them! Once you hook a survivor, taking into consideration that BBQ shows you another survivor aura, your already on your second stack on BBQ while a survivor has to risk everything to get theirs! The survivor may not even get a stack if the killer camps as well (And don't worry, I'm not against camping, it's a strategy)! That's why I think a survivor should get more ways to get stacks instead of being limited to being altruistic! :)

While I don't mean to steal your thunder, I also want to suggest a third option:

    * Remove the bloodpoint bonus from both, make that passive for everyone.
    * Add an effect to WGLF.

That way the end result is the same (faster progression for everyone), except that way you're not forced into using a specific perk just to level up faster. BBQ and Chili is a perfectly good perk on its own, you don't need extra bloodpoints to make it more desirable. I'd rather have that be a passive increase across the whole game. That way you're free to use another perk if it doesn't fit your playstyle.

This would be great! Now you don't need to waste a perk slot on getting more BP which will make both survivors and killer's happy! :)

    @Peanits, unique thinking!

Hes a cinnamon bun, too innocent and optimistic for this cruel world. A rainbow in the darkness

Well, WGLF needs either a secondary effect or more ways to earn stacks. To be honest, I play 50/50 ratio on both sides and I can say that I would be completely fine with WGLF getting more ways to earn stacks!

I think it's fine as is.

It's weaker in comparison, i agree.
But Killers are supposed to be stronger than a single Survivor.
It's only natural to me Killer abilities are supposed to be stronger, if they're comparable to Survivor abilities.

I understand that the killer is the power role and needs to be feared but a buff to a BP perk wouldn't make the survivor anymore stronger. Maybe my first suggestion where the survivor has more ways to earn stacks would be good but I can understand your reasoning with the second rework since it gives more power to the survivor.
  • I have every killer to prestige 3. I love having options. Instead of rewarded for this though, it takes so long to get the perks I want for new killers.

The bloodweb system needs reworked asap.

If you have so many P3 characters then you'll probably have a great chance to get tons of ultra rares in every blood web! However they should make it possible to 3 perks in a blood web level instead of having 1. This speeds the grind progress by 100% and you won't believe how fast that you can get perks! :)

When will you add a "one free kill" button for the killers?

Yes, this is a rant, but a right one.

I don't like the end game because the survivor becomes immersed. If you're gonna nerf the hatch then make sure the odds are a 50/50!

I really liked @FrenziedRoach's idea on the hatch standoff:

-Survivor gains a 200%-50% repair speed bonus.
-Completing a generator will open the exit gates.
    -Killer can close the hatch.

I'll add on to his idea by saying "Left Behind" can gives you a 20/40/60% increase on great skill check success zones when you are the final survivor! :)

Just finished watching a Ted talk on self-reflection when I realized that the main idea of the talk would be well suited to the Dead by Daylight community. The main idea was "Ask what questions, not why questions." What this means should be simple enough but I'll elaborate in case it didn't sink in. When doing anything in your life even something as simple as playing Dead by Daylight, try to ask yourself questions that start with "what" and not "why". Here are a couple of examples for both sides:

    Survivor examples:
Don't ask yourself: Why was I camped? Ask yourself: What can I do to not get camped again?
Don't ask yourself: Why was I tunneled? Ask yourself: What can I do to not get tunneled again?

    Killer examples:
Don't ask yourself: Why was I bullied? Ask yourself: What can I do to punish bullying/not have it happen again?
Don't ask yourself: Why did I lose? Ask yourself: What did I do wrong/What can I do better?

Just figured I'd put this here for everyone.
    Cheers!

Ooo, in my speech and debate class... We look at a lot of Ted Talks! However, I do wish that there was a feature in DBD where you watch your last played match so that you can reflect on your mistakes! :)

Why should killers have any powers? Let's just remove them. That way their powers and 90% of their addons are now pointless. Killers can just minimally impact how much fog is in a match. That make you happy?

Look at your ignorance.. please read my post again and you will see I didnt say "NERF HUNTRESS SHES TOO STRONG TAKE AWAY ALL KILLERS ABILITIES"
Last reply, you are obviously not getting the point and just jump to conclusions.

Im okay with your idea, IF she doesn't lose any of her hatchets when using that add-on! :)

@Nickenzie Well when the next reset hits, try a perkless run to rank 1. After all, playing perkless usually teaches me a thing or two about how I usually play.

    @Peasant
Ooo, I'll try that if it's more difficult than NM! I'm just tired of having a easy game as a survivor, I want a challenge when I play survivor! :)

The title says it all, I use No Mither to see what my actual survivor rank is! :)

Here is my reasoning on why No Mither makes your survivor rank actually matter:

1.) CANNOT make any mistakes or else you're gonna kissing the bloody floor!
2.) Killer's will take advantage of you using No Mither and will likely try to kill you faster than other survivors to reduce generator pressure!
3.) You HAVE to be stealthy since if you get hooked, the killer will like go after you to keep momentum -Your an easy target as well! (Refer to number 2)
4.) Dead by Daylight is actually a scary game when you use No Mither and you actually feel that the killer IS the power role!
5.) When you escape, you can know deep inside that you deserved to escape and you know that it was YOUR SKILL/TEAMWORK that got you the rank up!

    My Actual Survivor Rank: 10
(It would be higher but I can only play on the weekends because I have college classes in high school that I need to focus more on)
No mither  doesn’t make it actual because you don’t leave pools of blood and can pick yourself up off the ground , I have a few no mither builds for specific purposes, if you want an actual rank play solo with no friends to help the way it was intended, the reasoning is because with swf I could go perkless and survive
Going solo Q and No Mither is so difficult, it's why it's taking me forever to reach rank 1 with it! :)

    Lol you're funny

    @Grey87
     I know, I was laughing too! :)
  • lol @ high school classes...

Rank doesnt matter unless you want games full of nothing but slugging and tunneling. You want an achievement? Aright. Throw this free week in and you have stage 6 cancer when it comes to the community. Let the BM begin.

IKR, college classes in high school is so fun... well not really! :(

Back on topic, I actually like it when the killer slugs me because, coff coff, No Mither grants infinite amount of recovery from dying state! :)

However it's true, if you reach rank 1 survivor with No Mither then you can actually say that your rank matters! Reaching rank 1 No Mither is a huge deal and not many people can achieve that!

For the love of god no P2W. The grind is rough but having blood point packs would be insulting
Actually, it would be neat if you could by a limited double BP booster with iridescent shards! :)

    3 Hour 2x BP Booster: 5,000 Shards
    6 Hour 2x BP Booster: 9,000 Shards
    12 Hour 2x BP Booster: 12,000 Shards
    24 Hour 2x BP Booster: 15,000 Shards

If you buy a 2x BP Booster on a 2x BP event, you'll get a 3x BP Booster until your timer ran out or the event ends! :)

Not a bad idea, she's kinda OP but it's hard to tell since if a survivor is in tier 2... a survivor's running speed is 70% and she will be going 110%! However if a survivor is in tier 2, I guess they are doing something wrong lol.

I may reduce the speed reduction a little, giving survivors a little more of a chance... just ever so.

I don't think you need to decrease the speed, it just looks OP on paper. However during a game, it could look completely different and could be underpowered! :)

BTW great and we'll thought out killer design!

1st Match after event started P3 Wraith and that doesn't include his flamefest at the start either all because i wouldn't give him an easy basement kill.

    Ooo, salt! :)
  • The first version of the hatch closing function was good. It just needed two simple things: a base Left Behind effect (repair speed could be increased anywhere between 75% and 200%) and after X amount of seconds (maybe somewhere between 100 and 200 seconds), the Survivor’s aura is revealed to the Killer permanently in order to prevent the Survivor from going immersed and holding the game hostage.

But unfortunately the eight year old Scrubvivors whined and moaned because their free win was gone and got BHVR to give in again and change it so they had an easier win.
"Scrubvivors" I never heard of that one!

Edit: I absolutely love your idea of the hatch end game! :)
  • She is my new favourite killer and I am going to main her and try and p3 her this weekend. I use to main Myers but she is way better
Yeah she's pretty decent if you know her mind games! :)

However her scratch marks need to be more brighter, it's the only thing she has while phase walking and it needs to be reliable! :)
  • This may annoy you posting on your post cosntantco but also I reckon she should be able to vault through windows etc whilst in spirit world and if your lucky you can catch a survivor off guard
No, it doesn't annoy me! I like to interact with my community as much as possible so keep posting! :)

I had a idea where she can go through a vault location when phase walking, exactly how nurse goes through walls with her blink! However I don't know if that would be OP or not, it will need testing for sure!
  • Iceman said:
    @Nickenzie

ooh I definite like the idea of the scratch mark being brighter when phase walking. You should mention this in the balance feed back.

And I saw a post from Janick stating that she is getting a buff and he also mention that they are going to lower her cool down.

She is one of my favorite killers to play as now.
I want the spirit to know if a survivor has stopped running or not! If she can't even tell due to the grass then she can't even use her power - Your basically making blind reads!

However hopefully @Janick will look into this and give her the appropriate buffs! Remember, we don't want a nurse we just want a strong killer! :)
  • The feeling is mutual but also her speed out of spirit world isnt fast enough I don't feel. I feel it should be faster
This could help too! Hopefully they will consider this as well! :)

@Nickenzie My proposal to indirectly lengthen generator repairs are "Gas Cans". There would be a total of 4 cans per generator. Each canister would allow for 25% progress to be made on a generator. Upon using a gas can you lock the progress to the respective level.

For example, you encounter a generator. You cannot repair it until you use 1 gas can. After applying the can (one guaranteed moderately difficult skillcheck) you will be able to begin repairs up to 25%. If the killer regresses the generator during this time it will regress to 0%. After being fully repaired to 25% that progress is saved but the generator shuts down. After another can is used the generator will hum back to life and can now be repaired to 50%. If the killer regresses the generator at this time it will regress, but not past 25%. This pattern will continue until the generator is fully repaired.

Gas Canisters will be hidden throughout the whole map and can be carried in a survivor's off hand. They do not prevent you from carrying items. I would also ensure that more Gas Canisters would be found inside of structures.

Overall this will force survivors to consistently stop repairs and search for cans to continue repairs. The commute from can to the generators will increase times enough to slow down the objective and prolong the game a fair amount.

With this addition I'd also add three perks:

    • One survivor perk that lets you either see the aura of cans close by (or acts like small game) or you gain the ability to carry to cans at a time.
    • One killer perk to allow them to regress generators past the locked tiers
    • One killer perk to allow the killer to move a single gas can at a time.

    What do you think?

Not a bad idea! :) This would definitely work well on slowing the game down as well!

As devs said "survivors using certain perks is fine"

@Vietfox Remember folks, if you weren't supposed to use the perk, it would not be in the game.

Every perk in the game is quote unquote a crutch perk since you have to earn each one and the ability to use four. When ds goes away those sweaty 4 man swf that run that build will start the hook sabo again.

To be honest, I would rather have sabo squads instead of DS because at least they aren't doing generators and you don't have to waste 2 chases on evry single survivor just to hook them. @fcc2014

I would rather the ds if i have as oppose to the sabo squads. If i have to run hangmans trip moving forward in the red ranks i'm gonna be pissed. As long as i get the other 3 ds to the hook fast enough rarely an issue maybe 1 gets it. The obsession is another story which is why i want Rancor on all my killers.

Yeah, I respect your point of view! :)

It's just sooooooo annoying to have a DS hit you when you're about to get a hook! :)

    @Nickenzie said:
DISCLAIMER: The numbers are just rough values/placer holders. So if you see anything that is too low or too high in my "Generator Rework" thread, feel free to suggest a better number value! Thanks!

    REPAIR TIMES:

Generator repair times for the number of survivors on a generator: Left repair time is one survivor repairing a generator 0% to 100% and the right number is three survivors repairing a generator 0% to 100%.

    1 Survivor; 2 Survivors; 3 Survivors
    80sec       /65sec         /50sec

A generator will no longer have all four sides available for all four survivors to repair a generator! A generator will always spawn with at least one side being blocked by the environment!

    GENERATOR PARTS:

There will be 12 generator parts in every trial that survivors can pick up. Auras of generator parts will be revealed to survivors within a 12 meter range and generator parts will be spaced 32 meters from one and another. When a survivor is carrying a generator part, the survivor cannot use their items but the survivor can drop the generator part at anytime.

    INSTALL GENERATOR PART:

Generators need only two generator parts to be fully repaired. The first installed generator part will allow the generator to be repaired to 50% but cannot be repaired any further. However two installed generator parts will allow the generator to be repaired to 100%.

You cannot start repairing a generator when no generator parts have been installed in that generator!

When a survivor begins to install a generator part which takes 5 seconds, the survivor will be faced with two difficult skill checks during that time frame. Succeeding both of the skill checks will install the generator part but failing any of the skill checks will cause the survivor to start over on the install generator part action WITHOUT alerting the killer.

    DONE!

Leave civil feedback below and tell me how you feel about your opinion! If you're gonna disagree with me, make sure you have reasoning and justification!

You really sound like a bad player who is needing a serious handicap.

Lol, I'm just gonna highlight this and move on! :)
