    Here's the thing, survivors are getting REWARDED for farming now since it has no real punishment. They just SB away or DH pass you, additionally the exhaustion reset wasn't necessary since you recover while on the hook. I think the new unhook animation was okay since it allowed a mind game but now with the other stuff, expect to see more cocky survivors. Sorry about the rant :p

    No they don't get rewarded. How do you come to such a conclusion? The guy can still be downed within 10 seconds. The ONLY difference now is that the guy has a chance to act, that's it. You make it sound like it's 100% a free escape when that's just flat out not true. It's a fair chance to escape, where before there was no chance to escape.

    @thesuicidefox
    The i-frames and exhaustion reset gives a incentive to farming and I'll ask you this, "Do you like to get farmed?" Because now there's now more survivors farming and making bad plays now since the developers added a mechanic for playing poorly. Additionally I'll add on, I think that any bad plays in general shouldn't be rewarded to begin with coff coff farming.
    I think horrible players will farm other players no matter what the circumstances for the hookee is.
    If there is no penalty for the unhooker, then unsafe hooks will always be done.
    The hookee is not responsible for what the unhooker does, yet prior to this, they were the only ones punished with no chance of survival. Now they have a second of run time, assuming the killer adapted to these changes.
    That's the point, the unhooker doesn't get punished enough. I could farm every survivor because there's nothing stopping me (Not saying that I do farm btw, just making a example), benevolence points? Pff...

    Make farming reduce all categories current BP by 25% and make WGLF only give stacks when it's a safe unhook. That will be enough for the unhooker to think twice before attempting to make a poor play.

    General Complaint
    The devs stated that they are ok and it is intended that not all killers should be viable high ranks.
    (Aka: Not all killers are created equal) and I think that is unreasonable and a bad game design. There is no reason for that to even happen. Im sorry, but that may have been the stupidest thing that the devs have said/done since the [*fixed a bug that made it so pallets and flashlights had to be timed and did nit work anywhere during animations]
    Like ######### why bother buffing trapper and Wraith if you never intend fot them to be good, but just less bad? Excuse me? Im really struggling to understand the logic that went into that statement. Why would you not want all killers to be atleast relatively equal in power and be vaible to play the game. The consumers are supposed to make the meme builds, not the developers.

    Yeah, this made me lose some respect for the developers but I think they already changed their mind about "Not every killer is supposed to be viable."

  • I'd like to see Claudette deleted like the Huntress was in the most recent patch

    I actually wanna see Huntress' hatchet projectile speed get buffed so a survivor will have less time to react accordingly! Well, after she gets fixed that is :p
  • Rather than a buff to Freddy's power, I'd like to see a rework of it. He's extremely weak yes, but also very annoying to face.

    A good rework that makes him powerful and fun to face is top priority in my opinion. Same with DS and all of  it's friends and family being dragged out into the street and executed xD.
    I agree, Freddy needs a rework because I never seen a killer's power actually work against them. I been at both sides where I was able to heal a survivor from dying state with Freddy just waiting to attack me and other times when I play Freddy, a survivor would always complete a generator before I have any say in that! He definitely needs a overhaul or something because he's not a nightmare! :)

    I mean you can literally urban evasion away from her.

    Wouldn't fit the spirit, and her passive phasing, which I find rather creepy and cool as survivor.

    You should be able to notice when you phase shift when you PLAY The Spirit, though.

    I don't know what you are talking/referring to in this statement I highlighted in bold (See Above). Are you talking about the 110% movement speed? Sorry, it's unclear to me lol! :)

    He means her passive phasing that “after image” effect that looks like she’s blinking three times rapidly while walking.

    Ahh, this could also be buffed but I don't wanna over buff her! Thanks @SovererignKing!

    Awesome feedback!

    I wish scratchmarks wouldn't be as delayed and that you could use her power quicker and even when it's not full.
    I just want her base kit to be more powerfull and her addons nerfed becase she is so addon dependant.

    I highly disagree with giving her nurse speed. Survivors would literally outrun her. She would need crazy buffs to make up for it.

    @Claudette_Baguette
    The nerf to nurse speed is just a idea if she gets out of control and they can always nerf her other ways if these changes are too powerful for the Spirit!

    Oh, @SovererignKing I just want scratch marks to be brighter so you can see them better not more compressed by Predator! However now that you mentioned it, I might use it on my Spirit.

    It wouldn’t help. The brightness doesn’t matter, at least to me. I can see them just fine. You only use the scratch marks to get a general location. Then you just listen for their huff and puffs as they run to pinpoint their location. Scratch marks aren’t meant for pin point accuracy.
    @SovererignKing
    I know and that's completely true but I feel like the scratch marks aren't leading the Spirit in the right direction in terms of the survivor's general area most of the times. I often get confused on where the scratch marks ARE GOING and I like if you can see the scratch marks more clearly that you'll be able track the survivor's general location better, I'm putting a lot of emphasis on "Survivor's general location" since scratch marks aren't meant for pinpoint accuracy! However it's okay if you don't agree but that's my view on the scratch marks tho! :)

  • The 20sec cooldown is what kills it for me. Mind games are all about playing your individual opponent. When you have to wait 20sec in between tries it takes away the ability to read and condition your opponent. Even 5sec less would be great.

    Yeah, the Spirit is really reliant on her power and it sucks to not be able you her power often! After you use your power, you are a 110% M1 killer for 20 seconds which really hurts her ability during chases! :(
  • Usui said:

    She's completely fine, how about you learn the killer before you start begging for more buffs? Don't need another nurse running around.

    She's far from being a nurse and don't use the "You are bad & that's why you think she is bad" clichè! Obviously this player played her for a great while and if he didn't, he wouldn't have made a detailed list on her flaws. Usually people that don't play her and assume that she is bad would make a simple thread that only says she needs buffs. Trust me, us killer mains don't want another nurse, we just want a viable killer for red ranks. Personally I would like to see more killers at high ranks besides nurse, wouldn't you? :)
  • Elric said:

    A decent set of ideas but PLEASE, do NOT slow her movement speed down to nurse levels.

    Her obnoxiously slow movement speed is what keeps me from enjoying The Nurse at all, and yeah, I can do well with her, but ugh, SO SLOW.

    Also, +1 on making her scratchmarks more visible/reliable and being able to turn off that bloody chase music.

    @Elric
    Don't worry, it's just a idea if she is OP. There are multiple ideas to nerf her besides making her slower, I'll add on to my OP.

    -Instantly gain 5 seconds on your power upon a successful Phase Walk instead of 7.5.
    -Decreased lunge
    -Increased TR
    -Bigger audio range on her power (AKA survivors can detect if your coming from a longer range)

  • Just saying.

    If you get picked up and dropped, wiggle is in your favor and still is at the same amount. Recovering by logic, goes to say, that you've been recovering from the down. Now logic doesn't have to show this, but it just seems weird.

    Anything that reduces the wiggle time is really dangerous since there are some areas where the killer will barely reach the hook when you're at 99%. Even a small % head start can mean the difference and killer's can't afford to chase you back down again! However Boil Over can be reworked to 25/30/35% of your recovery bar is converted to your wiggle bar or something like that! :)

    Hey there. So, here's the thing: looking for some typical newbie advice.

    I've owned the game and all the DLCs since the summer sale, and just got the Spirit DLC. But, I haven't had time to really jump into the game until now.

    I plan to play both Killer and Survivor. Are there any specific Survivors or Killers I should focus on as a newbie? I'm not too concerned about climbing ranks per se. After two years in Overwatch and Paladins, I'm more than a little done caring about Rank. It'll happen as it happens. I'm just looking to have some fun.

    Also, I hear HybridPanda has good videos. Are there any other YouTube channels you guys would recommend for getting familiar with the ins and outs of the game?

    @Kilmeran
     First and foremost, level up either LF (Leather Face) or David Kind to get We're Gonna Live Forever (David King's Perk) or BBQ (Leather Face's Perk). I recommend getting BBQ first since you get more BP as a killer and hooking survivors is actually not that difficult which is how you get tokens on BBQ! Basically BBQ & WGLF (We're Gonna Live Forever) doubles your BP at the end of the trial (With 4 tokens) which help you get other useful perks such as Ruin, Self Care, Sprint Burst, and etc 100% faster!
  • @Claudette_Baguette

    I'm gonna suggest more buffs to the Spirit with reasoning and justification! :)

    1.) Her Phase Walk movement speed needs to be faster than it is currently! Maybe a rough +25% additional movement speed to her Phase Walk?

    Currently when you Phase Walk, you'll somewhat barely be able to catch up to a survivor after you attack the survivor. Now you can quick attack a survivor and then finish off with her power more reliably! This also gives the survivor less time to react to her presence and can get surprise attacks in before they knew what hit them!

    2.) If you attack a survivor within the speed boost period that you get from leaving Phase Walk, your power will be refunded by 50%.

    This killer doesn't really award skill when you are successful since you still have that 20 second CD. Now you will get rewarded for landing precise shots and can quickly recharge your power again to put more pressure on the survivor.

    3.) The speed boost period that you get from leaving Phase Walk should be longer and the speed should be increased.

    This will help the Spirit correct herself slightly if you are off. Additionally this can help mind games since you are now faster when you leave your Phase Walk giving less time to the survivor to make their choice on the mind game.

    The duration of Phase Walk should remain untouched in my opinion after having a good 12 hours with her! :)

    A secret bond with the Entity links you to nature! Unlocks potential in one aura reading ability. Crow's within 32/40/48 meters will be revealed to you. Additionally, 50/50/75% of the time, crows will be facing at the survivor's direction.

    I'm gonna bump my own thread up because these perks need some love! :)

    It's meant to see if there is any game breaking stuff. Buffs usually will hit the mid chapter patch but oddly enough that didn't happen with clown.

    Like I said a million times, there hasn't been a good survivor perk since David King. Yet killers have been getting at least 1 good perk every single chapter.

    Dance With Me, Tenacity, Stake Out, Pharmacy, Vigil.

    Just because Survivors refuse to branch out, doesn't mean their perks suck.

    Dance with me - one trick pony that requires several perks to work. Even then it’s not good. Tenacity - requires several perks to even have A CHANCE of working. Maybe every ten games... but unbreakable by itself would’ve worked if the killer left you there. Stake out - it just isn’t good. Pharmacy - can’t even go above green, straight up locks it. Also, useless if teammates search chest. It’s chest effects should be added to plunderers, and this should be some healing buff involving medkits. Vigil - used to be useful. Now it ain’t.

    Keep in mind there’s tons of perks that have been released with these, with a so many being bad.

    Sounds like Survivors just want four perks that each win them the game on their own.

    Tenacity works everytime on it's own whenever the killer decides to slug unless they have Deerstalker. Unbreakable only works once and requires the killer to come back to the same location. Tenacity let's you lose the killer on the ground and get picked up quickly later.

    Stake Out does real work. Turning every skill check into a 5% increase of progress. It destroys all these camping and three gen strats Survivors keep complaining about.

    Pharmacy also doesn't drop below a Green either. Not to mention it protects you from the very unsafe location in the box with faster and quieter actions.

    Vigil still does exactly what it's supposed to do. Just because you can't use it to kite the killer forever anymore doesn't mean it's a bad perk.

    Killers also got complete blanks as far perk go.
    Actually, all 3 of the killer perks are actually really good! :)

    Rancor punishes survivors who use obsession based perks such as DS since it increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.

    Haunted Grounds is a great perk to discourage survivors from destroying hex totems since you'll never know if it's a trap.

    Spirit Fury is great on M1 killers and if you have Enduring, you can do some nasty combos.

    BBQ has a secondary component because if it were strictly used for BP gain then no killer in his right mind would remove 1/4th of his perks for it while trying to rank up (we are, in theory, supposed to be trying to rank up, right?).

    If someone takes WGLF then that's only 1/16th of the survivor team's perks.

    While I agree the tokens should be more easily obtainable (the current requirements assume that a killer is doing well enough that there are plenty of unhooks to go around), a secondary effect is unnecessary. Perhaps make consistently hitting great skillchecks be a trigger for a token? Or repairing the equivalent of a full generator?

    Yeah, it needs a buff. Tokens need to definitly be easier. Or simply require less

    Agreed, WGLF needs more ways to earn stacks besides be limited to being altruistic!
    Wanna know what will happen if WGLF awards stacks for gen repair or pallet stuns?
    People will continue to do their gens while you struggle at the hook. Why should a survivor risk his life for a stack, if he could just get it safely by doing gens?
    People are pretty selfish. Your change would result in more 1 hook deaths.
    @Tsulan
    If a survivor let's you die on the hook then it's gonna come back later to bite them. With less survivors, it will be harder to do generators since you're more likely to be found repairing a generator. If there was more survivors then you could easily repair a generator since the odds are that the killer would find another survivor to chase while patrolling buying you time to complete a generator and earn your stack.

    Additionally, you'll still get stacks for unhooking so unhooking someone will always be priority if you want to get stacks. My change just makes the perk fit your play style more if you don't like to be altruistic.
    But gens are more important. Survivors will just gen rush and get stacks for it while you die on the first hook.
    2 minutes is more than enough to finish 3 gens.
    I see your point and reasoning but unhooking someone gives a lot of points in the altruism category as well as healing. If you neglect yourself from any altruistic actions then you're not making the most from the 4 stacks since you have no points in the altruism category to be doubled. You're literally missing out on 25% of the BP if you don't do any altruistic actions.

    Additionally if the killer doesn't camp the first survivor and finds you all repairing a generator then you're in big trouble. You have 1 survivor on a hook, 1 being chased, while 2 of you have 4 more generators to complete. If the killer hooks the guy that he was chasing then you have no option but to save them or end up losing due to your own mistakes because it gets really worse if you don't. Letting someone die on the hook will always come back to bite you lol.

    This meme perfectly summarises this post;

    Okay I’ll discuss this topic seriously now; I do agree, the game would be much better if I could get above 30fps consistently. I have a low-end PC - it’s actually a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop - and can’t get much more than 45fps on certain maps.
    The game’s skill checks mechanic and some other things are actually designed for 60fps. Because I get below 60fps, the skill check needle is... erratic sometimes. Below 60fps makes it completely impossible half the time to actually land a great, because sometimes there are no frames that have the needle in the great zone.
    Don’t get me started on the console version though. The poor optimisation makes it nearly unplayable half the time. The skill checks are even worse, and the Doctor, even without having a build that makes skill checks more difficult (ie, Unnerving Presence, Huntress’ Lullaby) is pretty much brokenly overpowered on console. Hell, Ruin basically freezes the game entirely until it’s destroyed.

    Thank the Entity we’re getting optimisation passes on all platforms in December. Maybe even I will be able to get 60fps then.
    I literally cannot wait for the optimisation patch in December! I usually don't get upset in a video game but when it keeps happening and happening, it's get really annoying! I ended up DC'ing which is actually very rare for me to do because I actually needed a break from the game or else lol! :angry:
  • Frankly, I like it better than the ideas that were pitched during the dev stream. This is a scenario where the survivor has a chance to make it out. Plus, it'd make Left Behind / Sole Survivor not as bad which is a major plus for me.

    Yeah but then you'll get fog travelers that will complain about Billy & Nurse... :(
  • Would this only apply during usual hatch times (i.e. after 2 gens), or if the gates are already open?

    This will apply to every situation when you are the last survivor, however if you're the last survivor and the exit gates are powered... They will be automatically opened.

    @Claudette_Baguette, I'll suggest my buffs to the Spirit! :)

    1.) Scratch marks need to be 100% more brighter while she is phasing.
    2.) Attacking a survivor within 1 second after leaving your phase should instantly recharge 50% of her power back.
    3.) Her movement speed should be faster while phase walking.
    4.) Her passive needs to occur more often.

    That's all I have against her besides her add-ons which I think you did a great job explaining on what needs to be changed about them. Good job! :)

    I disagree with 2 & 3. I think the base recharge on her ability should be lowered. It shouldn't be tied to a successful attack. Her movement speed while phasing is already good at the base level and add ons improve it quite nicely. No change needed there.

    I understand your reasoning and your justification but I want you to get rewarded for being good with her! Kinda like how nurse awards skill as well but I can take your suggestion instead of mine, I don't really care as long as she is like nurse and awards you for being good with her! :)

    Wow, it's ironic that you got that much as a survivor since killer's usually get more lol.

    1 Survivor Pudding, 2 Party Streamers, and 4 Stacks on BBQ.

    Anyone know when this perk is going to be fixed? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

    It's a bug, they will get to it on the mid-chapter patch but for now... We will need to wait! :(

    1.They already planning to have a cool down for her power and if they do this I wouldn’t mind the movement speed she have now

    1. Her seeing blood while phasing would be op, I saw this when I used the ultra rare add on along with the other ultra rare add on “mother ring” which make her super fast.

    I play with her and I am a rank 3 killer. I went from rank 11 to rank 3 just with her and a couple of game with wraith. I would not say she is a low tier killer, O really do have a fun time playing as her.

    It would also be nice if the scratch marks was brighter when phasing, someone mention this but I forgot who.

    However I do agree that she need some buff because with out the add ons then it is very challenging. I personally don’t mind using add ons.

    I mentioned the idea of her seeing brighter scratch marks while phasing because it's the only thing she has with tracking so it needs to be reliable. :)

    They get brighter with Predator. It reduces the spread area but doesnt reduce how many marks are generated, they get stacked up and because of that they also get brighter.

    Oh, that's cool but I still feel like the Spirit needs the BloodHound version of Predator or something in her main kit. :)
