  • Lmao no he's free on PC too. Maybe he isn't anymore if you buy the game after the Clown update?
I got the same on sale on PC and David just came with the game.

  • Yeah Doc is fine. The only Killer I think is a tad overpowered is Hillbilly but I love playing him so whatever.

Tunneling is a viable strategy, it stinks as survivor but makes total sense as a killer. Now if the killer is a jerk block...

i agree the killer can tunnel but does it matter if i bodyblock or not is the main point of this cause i went against a killer that said he reported me for bodyblocking in-game and i was confused cause i thought it was 100% aloud.

Dude, it is 100% allowed. That was just an extremely salty killer. It really sucks to be bodyblocked, but it's also lowkey kinda funny and also viable.

Sorry, but it’s true. Killers who camp, which now seems to be all of them, are ruining this game. When it became free on ps4, every killer camps and it’s just not worth it to play anymore. I haven’t played one match this week where the killers didn’t go more than a few steps away from the hook. I said this in another post and I’ll say it here again, if you don’t stop camping people will stop playing as survivors. No survivors, no matches. Less people playing the game means the developers have no reason to continue to support it. I know I’m gonna get the same comments as other posts,” just don’t get caught” or “camping is part of the game”. I’m sure these are people who never play as a survivor. I’m not sure what the solution is but maybe create a game mode where a lobby is 5 people and the killer is chosen at random, and random perks.

they should get rid of all killers and i will be the true killer. NEA THE KILLER MUAHAHAHAAHA. but only i wont hit you i will just suck you dry ;)

Dude, that's too scary, are you mental?! She'd send every player to the hospital from heart attacks, you really want that many people to die?!

Before anyone storms at me like a madman i know that face camping is not deserving of a ban but it is an a*hole thing to do so i came up with a solution. (keep in mind that this is ONLY a suggestion)

If the killer is standing ?m near the hook, the hooked survivor will be teleported to another hook in 30 seconds. (if the killer hasn't moved out of the area) Both the killer and the survivor will get a notification that the survivor has been moved onto another hook.

I'm not going to lie, it isn't a horrible idea.
Though I'd say disable this function once Exit Gates are powered because sometimes it's the only thing you can do.

  • I know I totally spooked a Clown once by surprise Pallet Dropping on him while he was carrying a Survivor, that must've been scary.

  • As someone who plays a lot of both, but has experienced it more with Survivor, it is just silly. I also have trouble with the animation already finishing the swing, but then it locks on and hits me, it's just so strange.

  • Simplistic, but it looks really nice. I could see that being an Uncommon Quality purchasable in the store.

  • I'll be honest, I really don't like the skin all that much, but this art is really nice.

    TUNNELING
    ISN'T
    A
    THING

    It's more commonly known as COMMON SENSE! Maybe he's chasing you because all the time because you're terrible at hiding and/or running, huh? You're the injured one, the others aren't, why would he go after them? You're closer to death on the hook! So why, WHY would he go after anyone else? Also, I nicked this example from someone a while back, it's a pretty neat example;
If there were two generators very near each other and one of them was 50% done and regressing, and the other generator is 0% done, which one would you work on?
If you said the 50% generator, congratulations, you "tunneled."

Yes, because it's common sense to follow someone for five gens instead of switching targets. Tunneling is a thing whether you want to admit it or not. Killers will often overlook an easy hit and an easy kill to go after what they've been chasing the whole time. I've seen it done even without them being the obsession. What OP was referring to is more of an etiquette related to tunneling, though. You're facing people who are trying to gain points and have fun in the game. Not NPC generators to M1 and occasionally press Space bar on. While you may see it as 1 vs 4, the 4 of them aren't earning points as a unit. While someone farming or camping them affects their score, it isn't necessarily their fault. I've had killers camp and tunnel me, then thank me for not being toxic in the next screen over. You're also picking an easy target, which isn't a show of skill. It isn't impressive. I think killers need a buff to address a team better, but also a penalty for doing lazy behaviors (as it'd be rough to play survivors if there wasn't one; killers would tunnel and camp regardless).

    @Jgrimm2001 said:
You're about to tell me. that if i get chased all round, downed and hooked a few times and get face camped and i die because i'm the obessession, that im going to de-pip? Where is the fairness in that?

As obsession, it's super important to not get caught. Especially if you're without an obsession perk. Avoid it if you can. If the killer has dying light or remember me, they'll often camp or tunnel the obsession. If you're not that great in a chase, learn. It's part of the game. Kate has a perk that will help you locate pallets and you can also watch tips and tricks videos. If you have friends in the game who are better at it than you, you can also ask them to help you learn the ropes in KYF. Alternatively, maybe look at your perks. Premonition and Spine Chill help if you're found right away too often. Urban Evasion will help you sneak away fast and sometimes killers don't notice things closer to the ground. Quick and Quiet is good for jumping through something and losing them if they happened to have broken eyesight with you. Iron Will will make you quiet when you're hurt and Bond will let you know where your friends are. I would say experiment until you find what helps you or what fits your play style.

I guess I can see where you're coming from, but I can't stand it when somebody screams about tunneling when all that happened was them getting hit immediately off the hook. You mentioned getting an easy hit/kill, and if you're by the hook or a few yards from the hook as Huntress, the person getting off the hook is the easiest person to hit.

Now, the killer following one person and one person only the whole round, I suppose that would be tunneling, though I've never encountered it myself so it would just be an in-theory thing, though I suppose if people are complaining about it I guess it does happen. It's similar to how I think camping is fine unless they do it when there's 2-5 generators and/or on first few hooks. It's just... dude, what are you doing, you're doing no one a favor, not even yourself. So I can see your point.

I just hate it when people yell at the killer after hitting someone who just got unhooked.

  • I would like some sort of bow or something to thank peeps who heal me.
I also think a wave is in order

  • That is exactly what it is.
There are certain killer perks such as Remember Me, Dying Light, and Save the Best for Last that apply obsession onto a Survivor and provide benefits depending on how you've interacted with them.

Yea just like a survivors when they get camped and tunneld

Lmao be quiet. Tunneling doesn't exist and camping is a valid strategy in most situations it is used. (The only time I don't think camping is valid is when it's facecamping on the first hook or something similar to that situation.) If you wanna debate, go for it. But this is a conversation about Tinkerer 2, not for you to complain about how your ePiC sKiLl was destroyed because a guy hit you when you got off the hook.

if tunneling isnt a thing then what do you call getting chased when u get unhooked?

    Common ######### sense.
If you had to choose between repairing a generator that's 50% done, and a generator that is 0% done, which one do you go for?

  • @AnnekeFloorever said:
Ok, well after reading all of this, I still think my most valid point is the amount of hooks. There should be way less.

There should be just enough hooks that a killer really has to use scramble to find one just before the survivor wiggles out. It should be about perfect timing for the killer, just like skill checking a generator. I mean, if a survivor REALLY has to look carely for a generator (without a perk), then the same should go for hooks and killers. It's not fair that a hook is right next to a generator, or right next to a cabinet, or even right next to the exit gate. Or two hooks within close proximity to each other.

The hooks should be sparse. How is it fair that a killer can pick me up at ANY where in the map and hook me before the Wiggle bar even gets to 20%? Even with Boil Over, I have found killers can find hooks within 1-2 seconds at anywhere of the map. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!! It is absolutely not fair.

Also, something needs to be done about rage quitting. If a survivor rage quits, it makes it easier for the killer.

However, if a killer disconnects ,the whole game ends, not fair at all.

And killers should not get faster during a chase, they should get slower, as it get slower for survivors. There needs to be exhaustion for running on both killers and survivors.

    Okay, no.
I'm not a gameplay expert so I can't give the exact reason for why less hooks is a bad idea, but Survivors already have 3, sometimes more depending on perks, chances to not die. The point of wiggling is that it's there for rare clutch moments or if the Killer tries to do other things while carrying you and punish them for dropping you. It's not an EZ-ESCAPE-FOR-BEGINNERS button.

The killer exhaustion thing is ridiculous, though. Killers get faster during a chase because of looping. Someone already explained looping. Without Bloodlust, AKA the move faster mechanic, the Survivor has the potential to infinitely loop the Killer for the whole game if basic use of Pallets and Windows are used. Having the killer go slower makes it impossible to catch any Survivor and would result in the strategy of purposefully not looking at a Survivor to drop chase, then look at them again. It just makes no sense.

  • He had no reason to kill anyone, he just kinda did, lmao.

  • Dang man, sick concept. The devs are very st00pid for not having put this in the game already.

  • What charming individuals <3

  • Monto, because after I first got my hands on DbD during the free weekend a while back, I searched up Dead by Daylight on Youtube and Monto was the first dude to come up.

  • Maybe it's just because I've never met one in person before, but Clowns just seem like average depressed men in their 40's, not too much scary about that lol

  • Eh, I don't see Hag over Clown. Not at all, actually. Clown's ability can help locate survivor's by throwing a bottle by a working Generator and his bottles can help in a chase by locking down juke spots and corralling Survivors. The Hag has to have startup time before any of her crazy plays can take effect; albeit that time has been reduced significantly since her buff. However, her slow speed can still make this difficult.

  • Sprint Burst has no counter and DS have no counter. Adrenaline is debatable.
Self-Care is counterable, though extremely difficult.

First of all, Im not a GUY. And no im not trolling. I have different opinion than others, if you can't accept that and talk normal, do me a favour and leave this post

Man how was he supposed to know you're a girl? Actually, I guess the name might have given it away, but still, it can be hard to say for sure sometimes. But trust me when I say Men are usually much more offended when called a girl because it insults our fragile manliness. That is just a general assumption, it varies from person to person on both sides. My point is, we usually assume it's a guy because guys are usually the ones more upset if you get it wrong, but again, it varies. I dunno, I don't really have any argument for that, it isn't the main topic at hand here.
TL;DR: Just skip this part and read the next paragraph.

Anyway, I'll admit I had just finished a series of salt-inducing games before finding this post so I was much more inclined to be a salty piece of ######### when I wrote my response. But your opinions just don't match up to me and many others. I know they're opinions and you're entitled to them, but the thing is it's a game, and just as much as you are inclined to have fun when killers don't "camp" or "tunnel," killers are inclined to have fun camping and tunneling, so it's not a bannable offense. That's just ridiculous and overly harsh. Following that logic, looping and stealthing are also bannable and Survivors should just walk up to the Killer and let themselves die. I incline you to go back to my previous reply and ignore the beginning part about you being mentally ill. And maybe some of the other insults I hurled; just maybe.

  • Order is useless because Blood Warden already does that from an infinite range. Also, Break needs a better name. I thought of Short Circuit a while ago on one of my older posts for an exact same perk.

  • Unlike most people, I agree with most of the things you have said over the course of your time here on the forums. But this I disagree with, the best way to deal with facecamping is to rush gens, simple as that.

Today, after a match ended I got a message from one of the survivors in that match (I was also survivor) and she stated that "she should've left me on the hook" all because I didn't rescue her from a tier 3 Myers when the gates were open. It actually humored me to how entitled and spoiled she was saying things like "I rescued you guys many times and you ditch me" and calling me a noob (we were both purple ranks) n stuff. It got me to thinking, what have butthurt survivors said that made you laugh (wether you are survivor or killer)?

Ooh, boy. Mainly complaints that I didn't walk to the opened Exit Gate with the other 3 survivors completely healthy t-bagging in it while they're on the hook; like yeah, I'm sure that'll go down real well. Do you want some whip cream with that free save?

  • On the tier list, Clown is the strongest. Hag has the best perks, Ruin especially. Pig falls behind honestly.

With Clown, your goal with the Bottles isn't always to hit the Survivors, it can also be to corral them in several directions making it easier for you to catch up with them.

With Hag, always place your traps around a difficult loop or in a hiding spot, it can catch them off guard really well.

Pig is interesting, she has a pretty low skillcap imo. Though something really fun to do is to Tier 1 Myers someone by walking up relatively close to a generator while crouching, then turning the corner and uncrouching to pull someone off. It isn't reliable, but it's satisfying.

  • @DarkGGhost said:
The thing with the killers is they need perks in order to do good in the game. The reason is survivors are just a skin and no matter the meta of the changes they can just add the perks they need and all is good, but killers have specific play style and most of the time they can changes that. For example when the Pig came out she has the first killer ( and only ) can stop the gens just because her power can kill survivors with that. The only other way to stop gens is with ruins and we all know what happen when you use hex perks. So by giving killers 5 perks slots they can make more combos and have more efficient gameplay.
I will love to hear your opinion on that, thanks for your time.

From a Killer main's perspective even I can say that's too much. We're going for balance, not superiority on the other side. I see where you're coming from, but we've done fine with 4 perks so far, I think 5 perks would just tilt the boat.

  • I haven't tried it yet saying as I need Ace in the Hole, but I've always wanted to try the Chester Molester.
Or, a more appropriate name, the Chest Build.

    Pharmacy
    Plunderer's Instinct

Am I the only one who disslikes those killer buffs?
I was biggest fan of this game before, but now... Sorry but this game pissing me off nowdays.
You keep buffing killers because what?
If you gonna do that, so start ban people who camps, tunnels others (you have no chance at ALL to play any single match).
And stream snipers (i'm a streamer and this happens too often)!!! It's a cheat! Why don't you do anything about this?
Those 3 groups of people should be seriously get a ban.

This game is no more fun because of those things.
And waiting time to play as a killers are insane.

Did you seriously just say campers and tunnelers should get a ban?
    ...
Before I respond to that, I need to know.
Do you have a mental disorder? This is a serious question, are you mentally challenged?

You think they should completely remove all players who play their game that use a basic strategy that the devs have said is a strategy?
Also, tunneling isn't a thing, it's a made up term for Survivors who are mad that they died. If you're right next to someone unhooking, it's common sense to hit the one that is injured so they're down instead of starting a chase with one person and letting the other get away, not a bannable offense. And while I agree facecamping is scummy, any other type of "camping" is not only easily counterable but also completely fair. Just because the killer doesn't let a Survivor walk up to you and unhook on a golden platter doesn't mean they should have their money on the game wasted and have it removed from them.

Also, while I've never come into contact with a stream sniper so I can't really comment, from what I know it's kind of your fault for putting ttv in your name. And if you want to advertise, than just type it in the chat while by the campfire.

You are so entitled, you think everyone has to play one way, everytime, so you can always win. Unfortunately, you aren't the most important driving force of the world. Unfortunately, because you passive agressively complained about it on the forums doesn't mean that we must kneel down and say "Oh of course, we're so sorry for competently playing the game, next time I'll be sure to give you back off the hook on a golden platter, and then go stare at a wall for 7 hours to let you complete gens and leave from the gates!"

This has to be a troll thread, it just has to be.

Unholy Guide: With the trial being so close to it's climax, the Entity grants you a gift. When the hatch opens, reveal all Survivor's auras for 0.5/1/1.5 seconds.

So you just want to reveal the last survivor?, 99% of the time when the hatch opens it is when you kill the second to last survivor and there is just one left. This is just madness and totally un needed. Extremely situational perk also.

/shrug, that's basically the use of the perk, yeah. It only reveals them for under 2 seconds meaning that it's an inaccurate guide 90% of the time, and if they're not by the hatch and you go to them then it gives them extra chance to sneak around you. It was primarily made to combat hatch standoffs. Also yeah, it's extremely situational.

    Deafening.

  • Oh man, venoms and spiders in general are among my biggest fears, so this would make an impact whenever I played against her. Great concept, very well thought out and the bio really hooked me.

Though even as a farming perk, Devilish Touch is horrendous. Not in concept, but in execution it would fall flat. In higher ranks, hits become harder and harder to land and each one is vital. Willingly giving all opposing Survivors permanent Borrowed Time is not a great idea. I feel like that should be the extra perk and swap it out with Arachnophobia; we need more phobia perks so we can have our phobia build.

You Can't Hide Forever seems a bit worthless saying as people hardly ever go into lockers, but I adore the flavor of that one.

Step in my Parlor actually seems surprisingly weak. Unless your Insidiousing right next to a gen waiting for someone to get back on, (or be like me and just sit there with The Pig, because I'm a goober who can't play well,) you would hardly ever get this effect into play effectively. This Perk would be fantastic though if paired with an updated Surveillance, meaning that the auras actually return to red once someone works on them instead of just staying white for awhile for no reason.
