This is actually incredible. Jacket has always been one of my favourite video game characters and having him be in DBD would be a pipe dream come true. The only thing I would change is that adjust it so the Entity used Jacket's love of violence against the Russian Mob against him and made it seem like all the survivors were Mobsters. Could lead to some cool survivor cosmetics.

Heads up, you might want to copy and paste this comment on the other Hotline Miami discussion I made since I accidentally made two.

    And also, I definitely agree.

  • Tbh the second effect of Spent Candle should just be an innate QoL change for Michael, the whole disconnecting thing.

  • I mean, if we're gonna have a springlock suit killer we might as well go full on and just make it Springtrap from Game-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named. But in all seriousness though, the killer is basically to Springtrap as Hillbilly is to Leatherface.

  • Honestly though Friday Night is a good thing. It should be Monday Night or something very scary like that.

  • I'll turn on my C A M P I N G M O D E when the last generator is powered and I hook someone/someone is on the hook. People become extra altruistic for some reason when exit gates are powered and it's easier to save and just make a mad dash away. So it's really only effective at that point, I'd say.

  • Hey, at least Freddy can do something, he has the ability to slow down the game. All I'm saying is, that's better than what Trapper, Leatherface, and Clown can do.

You're not alone, they're intentionally using their darker character model to their advantage.

I mean it is a smart idea. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve lost the killer in the cornfield using Claudette with a green or brown shirt. It is a way to be sneaky, although it doesn’t always work. On maps like Haddonfield, Swamp, and Coldwind a dark shirt Claudette is nearly invisible but if the killer looks hard enough he’ll eventually find her. I usually run Self Care, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and Urban Evasion/Quick and Quiet on my Claudette so she is even harder to find.

I don’t get why people are so bent out of shape over people playing Claudette with dark clothes...it’s not like they are all playing toxic. It’s a better way to stealth.

Same reason why people don't like slugging killers.
They can drag out the game and are really obnoxious to play well against.

Wait till you get to rank 1! Camping is considered a sin! You'll see instant heals, loops, & 99'ed gens!

Yes, all of those are very good and fun and fair, but being near the hook when all 3 of them bum rush for it? Absolutely illegal >:((((

  • What do you want to happen, have the killer just walk away and squeeze himself out for juice instead of hunting Survivors? I thought it was always you people who said the killer should be hunting people instead of camping when both exit gates are nearby and open?

It is way easier for Killer, you are right, but that was in an attempt to make Survivors have to actually do something other than generators and running and it was a creative way to slow down games for at least the duration of the event.

  • One that took me a while to figure out is "Pipping," which just means adding a stack to your rank up meter which can be found at the top right of your screen. Those little dots are called pips.

  • I think it has something to do with the fact that, and this'll sound cheesy but hear me out, your character goes through what seems like actual pain which triggers our empathy, which we then blame the person who did it (who is the killer,) and we blame them. It sounds crazy, but it is something I've thought of.

Another factor could be that because you always hear about how overpowered the Survivor is and so if you're doing bad it means that you're bad, which feels bad. I know the feel.

  • Not bad, though I wanted to note that the aura blindness is simply known as the status effect called Blindness. Being flashlight blinded for 10 seconds though does not sound fun, it would encourage hooking and then facecamping for a full 10 seconds to make sure that they don't unhook while you can't see, so as much as that's a fun idea on paper, I would suggest removing that flashlight blind or at the least decreasing it's duration by 7 seconds or so.

  • This is a really good question, I'm commenting here so I can be notified if anyone knows the answer.

I've been in the same [BAD WORD] game for 40 mins. I played well in the first 10 and got 3 kills without them getting a single generator. For the past 30 mins, the last immersed [BAD WORD] Claudette has been hiding the entire time. She hasn't touched a gen, alerted a crow, made scratch marks, anything. I'm going [BAD WORD] insane please save me

Man I had a game like that as the Survivor. Are you sure it was a Claudette and not a Quentin?
Dude I crouched around trying to find that max Huntress Lullaby. Not exaggerating, it was about 25+ minutes. I finally just gave up and did a generator hitting every skillcheck. Struggled with the second gen, kept on failing, eventually got it though, finally found the Hex Totem, (Great, didn't need that earlier,) and found the hatch.
    It was painful.

Nvm I was reading the other stuff that happened and it wasn't me, I felt really bad for the killer at the end and got all apologetic, we were chill. Guess it's just a very similar experience.

  • Besides, their rank is getting punished now so just kinda deal.

  • I made a concept for it, one that has no Survivor since there are no confirmed faces of protagonists in the franchise, so instead I focused on Springtrap, who actually fits the criteria of needing to have been a human at some point. Though I'll have to revise it as he has a perk that is just a better Beast of Prey and his ability isn't something you can control so it wouldn't be that fun. (I made the chapter when I first started playing so I didn't understand anything.)

  • Nice! Here's mine.

Stand still you little sh it

I've bought freddy but I don't know how her power works, sometimes I'm not using it and still the survivor falls sleep, and sometimes Im using it and it stops without making the survivor fall sleep

    What am I doing wrong?

Well first of all, I don't know why but that typo where you called Freddy a her kinda irked me. But that isn't important. Anyway, when you woosh your power onto them it takes 7 seconds before they fall asleep. Meaning that your issue is probably just coming from the fact that you're unaware of the falling asleep time. Otherwise, what you described is inexplicable unless you just have some sort of bizarre ULTRA lag.

How do you dribble? I have pushed every button, and i can't drop the guy.

Also, enduring on a clown pulling this trick, pretty much guarantees they don't escape. They will still be slowed when your stun wears off.

    R on PC,
    O on Playstation,
and I would guess B on Xbox?
Note that you have to hold the button for about a second, not just press it.

  • Oof, this is a a hard problem to solve.
It's worth noting that since it's a peer-to-peer platform and the Survivors are connecting to you, all the stress and tension of the bandwith being used is put on you as you have to support four other people on your own. Other than that, I don't have too many answers, though it does sound like something certain Survivors would do, lie about lag.

  • No feelings are invoked by the new songs, they're so bland and they feel like they were made just to exist. Maybe it's just because it's always been there, but the original really makes me feel something, it makes me feel this sense of excitement and dread.

What if we just take a couple killers and lock them in a larger map with 1 or 2 more survivors?

    Oh yes

  • Smh same as Nurse you st00pid noobie grrr >:(((((( play the game you stinky toxic facecamper killer main, Freddy is balanced all killer should be like him nerf all other killers they too op Survivor master race >::((((((( this is just the stupid nurse you stupid stupid stupid head >:()(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

  • Relatable, my fellow Leatherface PFP.

  • It has to start with the, no exceptions. Just because you have a special little snowflake killer doesn't mean she can break this cardinal rule. You can't just change something like that. Breaking the format in gameplay can be fun and refreshing, but just having something done differently for the literal only sake of it is that it's different so automatically better is just... incorrect.

No backstory, not even a lackluster one. She's just a murderous little girl who has a doll with metal on it. THAT'S NORMAL! Why would a girl have any reason to become homicidal? Eventually, you need to add something explaining this.

The ability is severely broken, and I don't just mean in an overpowered way.
To starting Survivors, this ability is almost impossible to win against guaranteeing a victory for the killer.
Against experience Survivors, this ability is next to worthless as it does nothing to help against looping or gen rushing, the current largest problems in DBD. Even if you know where they are, they'll just rely on the pallet all the same while the other 3 do gens.
Peek-a-Boo is an eh. it's kind of boring so nobody would ever run it, though I'll be honest it does have it's uses. Though we've progressed past such boring perks, at least I would hope. Though I guess there's never a wrong time to bring one in.
Follow the Leader. Well, the perk is good, as in a strong sense of good. Literally undo chases and loops from the game as you just run extremely fast now? Sign me up. Though I don't see myself liking this as Survivor.
Hex: Sweet Dreams. GREAT, NOED BUT EVEN STRONGER! FANTASTIC! I think NOED is in a good place right now, it really doesn't need to have a twin brother on steroids.

I mean, Adam is already a teacher, though I guess somebody with more of a Teacher aesthetic could be nice. Jain needs a last name though. Again, you can't just break format like that.

Tip-Toe: It's weak it's weak it's weak it's SOOOOOO weak. Unless you're playing with a Killer who has the hearing of an elephant- which, does happen sometimes- it's not very good. Besides, when's the last time you were walking and the killer just knew where you were? When's the last time you were running stealthily against a killer who is good enough to pick up on sounds like that?
Hush Now: 24 meters is pretty big. That's 3 Leaders worth of range, that's ridiculous. Just so you know, the average perk that decreases hearing range decreases it by 8 meters, not a whopping 40%, not to mention those are usually for one action, not all. This perk is one of those things where the numbers are strong but you don't see it doing much, again, unless it's against an immersed killer.
Keep Quiet: Man, another perk based on quietness? Jain might as well be a mute. This perk is confusing. Would it just delay the notification, or the entire UI from displaying it? One way, it's useless, the other way, it's decent I guess.
We literally already have Haddonfield with a pre-school, it's called Badmap Preschool I mean Badham Preschool.

Explain why they do it to the survivors who don't.

Maybe they're just #########, who really cares.
Explain to me why there had to be a forum page about this...

  • "No_Mither_No_Problem..." Unless you just have a common name, I swear I've played a match with you before. You just have a memorable name.

Anyway, these are some pretty nice perks and have a good flavor to them. I've always been more about the theme and climatic aspects rather than the actual gameplay, though that is still a concern I have.

  • Yeah, there isn't too much you can do. You could search for pallets or generators you neglected, but it's only an extra 100 points and it's kind of tedious. You can bob your head up and down which is entertaining for like, 3 seconds. Hitting the Survivor is just kinda fun because you get to see the animation and something is happening. Plus, as someone who plays Cannibal, I love chainsawing somebody on the hook because of the frequent screaming, it really let's me get used to the sound of a Meg in pain. I frickin' hate Meg, but I'm only going to touch upon that if some dork makes the mistake of asking me to.

  • People are seriously overrating Hag. Yes, she's good now, yes, she has some good map control, but at the end of the day she is still a slower killer who has to stop and start scrawling something on the ground to be effective. Even in a loop, if the Survivor sees you placing one they'll just run to the next pallet early. This will help you shorten the chase a little, sure, but above Billy? That's ridiculous. Especially on larger maps now like the new one, that quick one-place-to-another movement has utility out of the roof.
I agree Myers is really good, no one else seems to. The guy literally has a free unavoidable insta-down. Even if you play optimally, one way or another he'll eventually get it, it's an endless countdown to your demise.

  • Rancor literally just works well lmao, it's the Killer's first Key-like item, A.I the equivalent of a Survivor's free hatch escape. It's literally a free kill which is pretty nice actually.

    Two things:
First off, shouldn't this post be in the wishlist subforum?
Secondly, why not just ask for an option to select what menu music you want from a drop list in the options list. That way, the individuals that actually enjoyed the Clown's theme can listen to their's while you can listen to yours, huh?

I don't think anyone ever enjoys The Clown's song, but sure, it would be nice as an option I guess.

Utility Flashlight, Odd Bulb, High-End Sapphire Lens is the fastest you can blind and it's near instant. You can even stop to blind in chases randomly sometimes.

    Didn't they remove insta blinds?

Also i heard the Utility Flashlight with Green Battery and Reduced comsuption is the best combo

That's the best because it's a quick blind and it lasts a long time. However, in terms of sheer blind speed, UF + OB + HESL is still the quickest. It isn't instant anymore in the same sense, however, if the killer doesn't have laser fast reactions it will still blind superfast.

I wear Claudette face all the time. I like to think it scares away the squadettes with dstrike and flashlights. So far it seems to be working. It’s like a ward against pure evil.

    Same.

  • Blind about the second the Survivor has been thrown up in the air lightly after the killer picks up, I'd say.

I posted a discussion saying how killers had it too easy, and that the devs kept nerfing survivors to the ground. Since then I have only played killer to basically prove a point to myself. 2 days of playing, around 25 games and I have killed all 4 survivors before they even get 3 gens done. Not using anything like bbq and chili, or any unfair perks. I feel like this should at least matter for something that it is just way too easy lmao.

    EZ bait.

I would like to point out that I know a group of friends who purposfully troll leather faces who use claudettes face. It is literal blackface and is probably one of the more racist cosmetics in the gaming world. (one of.. not the most.)

Harvesting human skin to wear as a mask and brutally murdering others with a chainsaw? That's totally fine.

BUT WEARING A _BLACK _PERSON'S FACE, YOU CAN'T DO THAT THAT'S RACISM >:(
If anything it's just showing that Leatherface doesn't discriminate. If it exists, he'll murder it.

    This isn't 2011, pal.
    That meme is beyond irrelevant.

  • Smh fella don't you know playing Claudette is illegal?

  • Chances are, it is your connection to the killer. However, it's mainly just a matter of timing; you have to throw it down not when they're in the middle, but when they're a little bit before, else when you stun them they'll also get a hit on you. If they're lunging, I mean.

  • Dude, come on. The game alternates between more males, more females, etc., they can do whatever. Besides, the new guy is black, shouldn't you be crawling all over that?

  • Damn just teach me your ways on how to not die to her, please.

One second she's not there, the next second she is, and you're just instantly stabbed by her inflatable dildo hand. Seriously, why does she look like such a thot? You can see her god damn ass crack.

  • @M2Fream said:
Step into my parlor is kind of bad.
Something more spider related would be good. Spiders trap prey in their web and for a killer that web is the basement. So this is my idea

Web of Trapped Souls: Survivors hanging on hooks in the basement cannot move or attempt to free themselves on the hook. They also have the self escape window shortened by 5/8/10% and the struggle phase reduced by 5/8/10%
(For a total of 20% less time per survivor on hooks in the basement).

Monstrous Shrine 2: Electric Boogaloo? I don't think so.

  • Lmao are you kidding me? You really think it would be okay to have a no penalty free escape whenever you want it? Dribbling is the only reliable counter we have, and it isn't overpowered or anything, it wastes a ton of time we could be spending hunting other Survivors or Breaking Gens.

  • Yeah, you can see Cloaked Wraith with OoO. I only know this because I had a match with a Wraith who was AFK the entire time and I spent most of it crawling around him and pointing at him. Only found him thanks to OoO.

  • Maybe it's just me but if somebody calls me gay over the internet I'm not about to cry.

But I guess maybe other people would so whatever.

  • So he's Hillbilly, with a shorter and quieter charge, and a tiny terror radius, and ANOTHER ability which is just the Clown's ability. AND the ability to see a survivor within 2 meters, which is useless because you'll see them if you're that close anyway. Like, that 2 meters is already inside of your tiny 5 meter terror radius, so it's not like you can sneak up to them or anything because they'll hear your terror radius, if they know who you are they'll know your terror radius is tiny, so they'll instantly start running. f this killer as a whole doesn't sound overpowered and over-all poorly designed then I have no idea what to do.

Serpent-like Agility makes no sense, what the heck is the agility perk? Is that Serpent-Like Agility? When does it become active? You need to specify that.

Motivation is not good. Moving 10% faster outside of a chase for 5 seconds is next to useless.

Silent Steps is overpowered in specific circumstances, such as OoO, it's a direct counter to OoO. The only counter to OoO right now is playing Freddy and Freddy is ultra weak, so that makes sense. It also counters some other perks but nobody runs those so whatever. It's a strong perk but not strong enough in every situation to ever be used, so it's poorly designed.

1 2 3 4 5 … 7
